the problem is not I cant connect to the internet through wifi or its not i cant connect to wifi, the problem is i cant watch videos on youtube through wifi and i dont know why. i upgraded my iphone 4 from ios 7 to 7.1 but the problem still occurs. i dont know exactly whether the problem is on ios 7 - 7.1 or on youtube app. besides that, the download process of every app through wifi often stops then i have to click to try to download again. i've done reset everything but the problem still occurs. dude, before i had ios 7 - 7.1 on my iphone 4, I NEVER HAD THOSE PROBLEMS, it went smoothly like a bird's flying in the sky unless a jetplane hits it. i dont think i should buy higher iphone and put my iphone 4 into the trash because i saw the problem occured on iphone 4s - 5s, but i think i should buy other phone with other OS if i dont get the solution

my internet speed is 2 Mbps, the router has 5 GHz. i dont think the problem is on my internet or on my router because:
1. i ve been playing xbox through wifi, no problem.
2. i also have laptop and i use laptop to be online and watch videos on youtube by my laptop, no probem.
3. i had ios 6.1.3 before, watched videos on youtube (sometimes i watch videos by my iphone), downloaded applications, they went smoothly.
we know that apple have updated iOS many times, and youtube also have updated the application many times, i thought the problem might be on ios or on youtube app or on both of them. but then, i tried watching videos by safari on my iphone, it wouldnt load either. so i think the problem is on wifi of my iphone, seems ios 7 - 7.1 have ******** my iphone 4's wifi.
there is no problem streaming videos by my iphone 4 (ios 7 - 7.1) through 3G network. it goes very smoothly through 3G network

Problem with icloud & bookmarks (Iphone 4, IOS 5.0.1)

If I switch on settings>icloud>bookmarks then my bookmarks are duplicated and moved/disordered. What's wrong? (Iphone 4, IOS 5.0.1)

If I have the tree Bookmarks>FolderA>FolderB>FolderC>FolderD then Bookmarks>FolderD appears too (and not with all the bookmarks that must contain). It seems that the bookmarks in iCloud are stored incorrectly from the past (perhaps the tree was too deep) and all I can do is copy them to the iphone. How can I replace the incorrect bookmarks stored in iCloud (not copying from iCloud to the phone)?
And the bookmarks in Bookmarks>FolderA>FolderB>FolderC>FolderD appear disordered (and some of them, into another forlders!). Why the bookmarks are disordered when I switch bookmarks on?

Issues with wifi since updating to iOS 6 on iPad 3.

I'm having wifi issues since updating to iOS 6 on my iPad 3. I can't access certain sites and get error messages such as 'servor can't connect' and 'request timed out.' Although some sites work fine. I can't access apps which require internet such as facebook, iMessenger, face time and games which need internet access. I can't use iTunes or App store and get the message 'can't connect to iTunes try again.' All these problems started after I updated to iOS 6. I found that the iPad works fine at another location on a different wifi but not at home. The home internet is not the issue as laptops, phones and iPad 1 and 2 all work fine on the internet here. I took my iPad to the apple store with no help and no useful advice so came back again and they offered me a hardware swap which I took. I now have the new iPad but the issue still remains. I have tried everything and I have done everything that has been suggested. Some things I have done are reset network settings, reset all settings, changed wifi dns, changed HTTP proxy to auto, closed all apps and re-opened, fully shut down the iPad, turned off the wifi router and restored the iPad several times. I have searched for help and advice and found that there are many complaints about iOS 6 on the iPad 3 when it comes to wifi. What else is there for me to do to fix this problem? I can't use internet or apps that require internet, basically my iPad is of no use at the moment. Do I have to wait for a new software update which will address this problem?

Are you losing the connection to iTunes on the iPad or the computer? You are saying that iTunes is updated. Of course iTunes is updated when you update the iOS software. That's a no brainer.
If you mean that iTunes is updated on the computer, that has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with downloading and updating apps on the iPad itself so changing the date on the iPad, signing in and out of the stores on the iPad .... Doing any of that on the iPad would have nothing to do with iTunes on your computer.
If .... you have not been able to connect to the iTunes or app stores at all on the iPad - try this ...
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If you can't connect at all - you can also try rebooting your router. Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it in again.

How I fixed my wifi on iphone with clearwire

After so many tries and hours of pain........!
I first got on apple support and had my internet redone by support help. Then went to the genius bar and made sure my iphone worked with wifi-it did.
Then back to the drawing board. Finally went to the about mac on my imac and found out my clearwire had a fixed dns.
in system profile, I looked at the network tab and found my dns. Server address. Back to my iphone.
So I put it in and went to the settings and instead of dhcp, I used boot. Works great, only shows the dns for clearwire. Works to fast to be edge, as edge is the only thing that shows-but it works fast!
Tried weather, stocks works great. BUT not itunes?

You say fixed DNS.
Have you tried running iPhone in regular WiFi mode, and changing the DNS addresses manually? Then seeing if all the features plus iTunes WiFi Store works?
Might be a possibility a port is being blocked that won't allow iTunes WiFi Store to access the internet correctly.
Can you even access it on a home computer?

Can I use my wife's iPhone with My "Match" Account?

I just subscribed for Match. All of our music is on my iMac desktop. I don't have an iDevice, but my wife has a Macbook, iPhone and an iPad, all with her own ID. Is there a way for us to connect her devices to my Match account so that we can use her devices to listen to "my" music? When I try it on her iPhone (via "settings", then "Music") there doesn't seem to be a way to do this.

Thanks for the question. The short answer is yes - you could do this. However, some important information may be excluded from the backup (like her iCloud account settings, and any content that is not kept on the device when signing out of iCloud). The process might also be cumbersome if you are planning to do it often, as constantly switching iCloud accounts could potentially merge your data or result in loss of data.
Have you thought about backing up her iPhone with a computer with iTunes instead?

FIX - slow wifi on iPhone 6 iOS 8.0.2

ive had a problem with my wifi since I bought the iphone 6. I get good speeds for a time, then it drops off and gets slow again. Tried resetting anything and everything. Then I did this: went to my browser, typed in "what's my ip", copied my ip address and pasted in my address bar. Logged into my Verizon acct. the user name should be admin and the password should be a mix of letters and numbers on your router, unless you've changed these user names and passwords. Once logged in I went to advanced wireless settings and changed my security settings from WEP to WPA2 and reset my password to a 16 digit key. Save the settings and log out. Then since I have a pc I changed the settings on my wifi to match the settings I just changed. Then I went into my iPhone's settings < general < reset < reset network settings. and that's it. Been doing speed tests and it been working fine. Hope this helps yall.

Our experience with iPhone 6:
Very slow wifi on iPhone 6 on several different wifi networks, home and work and others. Cannot be a WEP-WPA2 issue, must be an iPhone6 issue. Also have experienced 6 Mbps recently and 22 Mbps last month, seems to be variable and getting worse.
PS- iPhone 5 on very same home network gave 57 Mbps when iPhone 6 gave 6 Mbps !

Did you mean the Adapter is greyed out and we cannot click to turn on it? Is there a wifi switch on your laptop? If so, please turn on it first.
Also please try the network troubleshooter to see if the issue can be fixed:
1) Right Click network icon in taskbar and select "open network and sharing center"
2) Highlight wifi connection then at top click "Diagnose this connection"
The troubleshooter will discover that the WiFi connection is turned off and offer a "Apply fix" option click that and windows will enable the wifi connection.
To make sure the driver for Network adapter is the right one, please go to manufacturer’s website to see if there is the one compatible with Windows 8.1.
If not, we can try to install the one applied to Windows 8 in compatible mode to see what’s going on.
Since such issue can be caused by driver bug, please also contact the manufacturer to see if they can provide more information about this issue.

Skype works with WiFi but not with 3G

I have a Sony Xperia M, Andriod 4.3 and the last version of Skype. Skype runs perfectly with WiFI but when I turn it off it gets offline with my 3G. While other apps like Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, etc work well, Skype is logged in but offline: I can't send or recieve messages or calls and I see all my contacts but I can't see who's online. A friend has Sony Xperia M2 with Android 4.4 and is having the same problem with his 4G connection.
What can I do?
Note: Clearing data, as it has been suggested in other posts, doesn't work.

Thanks for your pointout. It worked for me, though not the first time. I had my iTunes sync prefs set to sync automatically upon iPhone connection, but you can't access the "info" tab until it's connected. So my first time thru, I tried to click "replace calendar on iPhone one time from Mac" and then hit the "apply" button WHILE the sync was already in progress. It didn't like that, so I suggest to set those prefs in iTunes FIRST, then export and import the calenders along with the remove sync history via iSync, as per the instructions in the link you gave. My second time thru, using the prefs already preset, it all worked fine, and now the iPhone and iCal sync in both directions again.

This bothers me so much. It is absolutely ridiculous. I use my Apple ID as well as a family member's Apple ID to download music.
Every once in a while I will purchase a song and it won't download correctly or will give me an error that my computer is not authorized, a solution I usually fix by deleting and redownloading the song from the cloud. This doesn't work, however, when it happens to both accounts within 90 days.
It is incredibly frustrating to me that I have paid for a song, it downloaded incorrectly, and I must wait 90 days to try downloading it again because of these assinine policies.

Hola, tu problema le ocurre a mucha gente y por lo que he podido leer por aquí, no está del todo claro si es un problema de hardware únicamente o de hardware combinado con el software pero en cualquier caso te resumo los pasos que han mejorado el problema para mucha gente y quizá alguno de pueda ayudar.
- asegúrate que el router de tu casa tiene la última actualización de su software y resetea tu router.
- has que iPhone olvide tu red y vuelvela a configurar
- pulsa otra red (en lugar de pulsar el nombre de la tuya) e introduce el nombre SSID de la misma manualmente
- cambiale el nombre a tu red
- cambiale el canal y la frecuencia por las que emite señal tu router
- cambiar la encriptación de seguridad de tu router a WEP o a WPA2-AES
hay algunas acciones adicionales que ahora no recuerdo que han ayudado a la gente con problemas de WiFi, puedes buscarlas con Google pero yo te recomendaría que buscaras alguien que entienda bien ingles y mires aquí un larguísimo hilo que se llama "iPhone 5 WiFi issues". En ese hilo están todas las sugerencias.
Parece que si se trata de un problema de encriptación Apple no puede reproducir el problema en sus routers porque estos no están encriptados. Si después de intentar todo lo que recomiendan sigues igual, yo llamaría a Apple Care, pediría hablar con un supervisor e insistiría en que le dieran la órden al servicio de asistencia técnica de Apple que te corresponde por tu localización que te cambien el terminal. Así han logrado resolver el problema bastantes personas.

Ho provato di tutto su due iphone 5. Niente, facendo un test di velocità non si superano i 0,5 Mbit/sec in download, mentre in upload arrivo tranquillamente a 3 Mbit/sec. Utilizzo la condivisione internet su un mac book pro collegato con internet key di Vodafone. La chiave di autenticazione è wpa. Ho anche provato senza autenticazione ma con lo stesso risultato
