Problem with Windows7 and Adobe Flash freezing computer?

Hello All, There is a problem with Windows7 and my Adobe Flash causing my computer to freeze. So, Skype, videos, etc will not work. Have tried many things to solve problem. Can Oracle VM be used to run a different operating system...such as XP or Vista where Flash will work properly? I would hate to have a new operating system installed on a new computer. thanks

If you mean Oracle VM VirtualBox, then yes, definitely. A free download, it installs and runs great on Windows 7. http://www.virtualbox.org/

Its a browser specific issue. Try a different browser like chrome or firefox, it should work.
For fixing IE, lets follow below suggestions :
Run the Flash Player Uninstaller as applicable for your machine(i.e.Windows or MAC) and remove flash player.

Restart the machine.
Download and Re-install Flash Player.
Restart the browser and check.

Problems with SharePoint2010 and Adobe Reader X

SharePoint, SQL and OS are installed in English. The problem is that the site was probably created from a German template. One would have to create the site from an English template and then add the other languages by MUI. It is a matter which language site in the settings under Language Settings is uppermost to:

Could you repost the error-message that you see in Adobe Reader? The problem might be because of a known bug in Microsoft SharePoint server 2010. Certain required field types are missing in the German/French site templates which cause a SOAP request on the server to fail. A workaround is to add these field types to the library. You could add these fields manually or using a script. You could look for following field types which might be missing from the site template.

I'm having problems with Windows7 and latest itunes

There seems to be a compatibility issue with Windows7 and the latest version of itunes. The app will initailly launch when you boot up the pc, but if you exit and try to relaunch the app it dos not respond. I've installed an older version and it seems to work fine.
Any ideas?

Hi, i have a macintosh with OsX Yosemite 10.10.2 and i can't update the software to te last version. The download always stop at 20-30%. It's not a problem of my internet connection. I tried to uninstall e reinstall flash player, but i have the same problem, with the difference that now i neither have the software... What can i do? Thank you!

Download the install package from this link. Double-click to open it from your downloads folder; when you see the red "install" folder, right-click it and select "Show Package Contents"; click on the "Contents" folder; then click on the "Resources" folder; then double-click on the "Adobe Flash Player.pkg" file. The installation will start. It worked for me.... FINALLY!! I hope it also works for you.

Help with IE and adobe flash

when i go to download adobe flah player, i click on the
install button. When it goes to the next page a gold bar comes up.
It either says IE has blocked the installing of ActiveX control or

HP4630 problems with Word and Adobe reader

I have recently setup a new computer at Home, Win 7 64Bit, and I cannot get the HP4360 Printer to work correctly.
Tests completed
Print from Computer 1, via USB win 7 64Bit all OK, and has been for months
Print From computer 2 Via wireless Win 7 32 Bit all OK, and has been for months
Print from Newly setup Computer (Computer 3) win 7 64 Bit via wireless, the following occurs
Print from Notepad Works Ok
Print from Word, Adode Reader nothing Prints.
Turn Printer offline
Print from Notepad - Document sits in the Print Queue, Turn printer online and it prints
Print from Word - Nothing appears in the Print Queue ever.
Connected Old cannon printer to New Computer via USB and can print from Word, Adobe, Notepad all OK.
Unistalled Drivers and Reinstalled Latest from Web, no change to the above problems.
Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor, Passes all tests.
After 3 days of trying Gave up and connected Old Cannon Printer, Wife now Happy, but it is just annoying as I want to use the new printer, as that is why i brought it, so I could get rid of the old cannon, Which Luckly I hadn't tossed yet
Any other suggestions welcome

Is there a known issue with Safari and Adobe Flash?

I get the following alert on most webpages with Flash:
The page “Macromedia - Flash Player” has content of MIME type “application/x-shockwave-flash”, but you don’t have a plug-in installed for this MIME type. A plug-in should be available on this page:
https://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer
I follow the link and download the Adobe Flash Player 9 for Intel-based Macs, but it does not resolve the issue. Am I missing something?

Adobe FlashPlayer should first be uninstalled using the appropriate uninstaller available here:

and then the latest version obtained from here:
http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1ProdVersion=ShockwaveFlash and installed.

Some users have mentioned that the latest Flash Player (v.9.0.115.0) conflicts with Leopard, and that they have needed to revert to v. 9.0.47. This can be downloaded from here:

Are there any problems with Lion and Adobe CS5 ?

I am wanting to upgrade to Lion but don't want to have the hassle of trying to fix any problems as I have heard some people had problems with earlier versions of Adobe Creative Suit and Lion and having recently moved I have no clue where my CS5 keys are so before doing so I want to know there will be no errors.
Peoples experiences would be appreciated and many thanks.

I have upgraded two Mac mini's which both have the Adobe Creative Suit Cs5 Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop. I have had no issues regrding the upgrade, they just work.
However I do have two user interface issues. InDesign the keyboard page up, page down keys no longer work as expected, they simply jump to the next screen, the workaround is to use a trackpad for the left hand and use two finger scrolling.
The other is the arrow buttons in the vertical scroll bar no longer exist, so again the trackpad comes in for scrolling.
This applies for almost all software and the finder.

Issues with realplayer and Adobe Flash

I have an issue with Adobe Flash and Realplayer. I installed the latest Realplayer ver 16 on my PC running Win 7 64 bit andI could not get the download this video popup to come up, but if I install the latest flash player I can use that video download aain until I shut down IE9 and then when I bring it back up have to update flash player again in order to get the download this video toolbar to come back. I had this combination working great for years and recently it started to mess up on me. I do not think it is a virus because Malware Bytes checks out OK. Has anyone run into tis and more importantly been able to fix it?

This is not a functionality that Flash Player provides, but Real Player. You should bring it up with the Real people.

Problems with IE8 and latest Flash

On three discrete web pages from different organisations I am having problems which I think track back to the Flash product -
on eBay when I am loading images the usual software (called standard) that I have used for many years says that I need to download the latest version of Flash. I went through a successful (tested it had gone) uninstall and reinstall but still after clearing cache etc. rebooting etc. ebay still says load the latest version.
on UK Met Office site a weather map which is central to their product offering never unpacks onto the screen - just sits there saying loading. Sometimes MS comes on and says the script is slowing down the computer but nothing ever loads.
on BBC iplayer when one selects a program the web page should put up a static image of the program which may then be run by clicking a play icon. The image never appears and so no programme may be viewed, after a while MS comes on and says do I want to stop running the script. No difference if I say yes or no, still the frame/image is not unpacked.
I am on IE8 32 bit system and have checked with your software that I have the latest and have reloaded it too. Any ideas ?

I wonder how many IE users have a similar configuration to me and are
blocked.
Chrome now working fine and programmes being displayed and selected without

Problems with "convert_abapspooljob_2_pdf" and Adobe 8.0

I have created a report which converts a spool file to PDF using FM convert_abapspooljob_2_pdf, an sends it as an email attachment using FM SO_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1.
When using Adobe acrobat reader 7.0 on the client it works just fine, but if i'm trying to open the document with Adobe acrobat reader 8.0 ; I get the error message "There was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be repaired".
Have any of you faced this problem, and how do I solve this ?

hmmm....   it looks like the report RSTXPDFT4 convert the spool file correctly - the error must be ind the send mail part of the report. Do you have any Suggestions her ?

Problems with RAID and a Flash USB Drive

I'm attempting to install on a RAID 1 array using just one usb flash drive. Yes, just one. I'm trying out the idea's in this thread: http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=64281
Partitioning scheme:
sdb1 -> boot partition
sdb2 -> swap
sdb3 -> raid 1 array -> root
I set the partitiions to type 0xfd (linux raid autodetect) in fdisk (probably not necessary) and created the array with:
mdadm -C /dev/md0 -n 2 -l -b internal missing -W --write-behind /dev/sdb3
I then installed like normal, specifying that I needed usb and raid hooks in mkinitcpio.conf
I added "md=0,/dev/sdb3" as a kernel option in grub's menu.lst, specifying that the md driver should assemble /dev/md0 (my root partition) out of /dev/sdb3 before trying to mount it.
This process was succesful using a partition on my hard drive.
However, using a usb drive causes a kernel panic during boot when trying to mount /dev/md0.
Looking at the messages reveals that before my usb drive was detected, md attempted to create the array, unsuccessfully, as /dev/sdb didn't exist yet. "md: unkown device name /dev/sdb3" or something to that effect.
In mkinitcpio.conf, the usb hook comes before the raid hook, so this shouldn't be happening, should it?

I think rootdelay will not work in that special case, rootdelay makes the system to wait after all the hooks are executed, and you need to wait before executing the raid hook.
I don't know if there is an easy way for that, but one solution is to modify the raid hook to wait for /dev/sdb3 to be created :
- edit /lib/initcpio/hooks/raid, add this before the /bin/mdassemble command :
until [ -e /dev/sdb3 ] ;
do
sleep 1 ;
done
- rebuild your boot images with mkinitcpio (you'll need to chroot to your system)
that should work
PS: someone correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I know, the usb hook does not create your /dev/sdb (if you edit the usb hook, you'll see that it only set rootdelay if it is not yet set). it is the udev daemon, which is launched in the background by the udev hook, and the udev daemon is quite long to create USB device nodes.

I just got a new iMac running 10.9.1. Like a lot of other users, I can't open up Adobe InDesign CS5.
Illustrator and Photoshop are fine. I did go to the web link you've provided and downloaded the correct Java app twice and restarted my computer each time. Still can't load Indesign. Could there perhaps be another version of Java on my Mac that I need to take off that's interfering? If so, how can I determine that.
Please let me know if you'd like to see the code I get in the dialog box when InDesign crashes.

Problems with LiveCycle and Adobe Reader x

I recently had Adobe Reader X installed on my computer, and now when I use the Preview tab in LiveCycle the form opens in Reader X. I would like the form to open in Acrobat 9 Pro as it did before. How do I change that?

There is a registry setting that determines what is your default viewer. You can either reinstall Acrobat (the last one in sets the setting) or you can modify this registry key to point to your Acrobat exe file:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Software\Adobe\Acrobat\Exe
If it's not there create a string value and point it to which exe you want to launch
For example: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat\Acrobat.exe"
