Problem with Youtube and Flashplayer : some options are not responding anymore

I have a very strange problem since few days only on Youtube (other famous flashvideo websites are working without problem) I tried many things already without success.
I can still play videos on youtube, excepted the buttons under the player are not responding AT ALL. I can still see them but it's not responding (or for exemple when Im going on the youtube player "Sound" icon the bar volume doesn't appear)
I tried already to uninstall flashplayer and update it to the last version (10...38) but no changes. I have the same problems on all browers (IE; Firefox and Chrome). I also reset all Firefox and IE without success. Reinstall Java. And I have the last drivers for my graphic ard AMD.

You can see clearly that the button for resolution doesn't appear at all.

Quite strange also on IE you can see that there is a kind of bar who seems to block me the access to the control of the youtube player icons :

Im on Windows 7 64Bits, but i'm using the 32Bits version of Firefox and IE, I tried also to turn OFF my Avast Antivirus and my firewall. But no changes.
If anyone has an idea, i would really appreciate because even if i can still watch video, i cannot change the audio volume of it and change the resolution or even activate the google subtitles options. The only icons who are responding on the youtube players are the two on the right (to enlarge the screen).

Problem with youtube and other video websites

I have a problem with youtube and other video websites:
Everything is up to date (flash, FF, my plug ins..) but i keep getting freezes when the video loads. I can hear sound but i can only see the first frame of the video.
I've reinstalled flash/firefox or tried updating them again for about 4 times now and my cookies/cache has also been errased which i usually don't do. If i enter FF's safe mode it also freezes.
I hope someone could help out, i've searched for answer on google before and tried everything i saw but it didn't helped.

Hmm, so that person had a conflicting plug in.
Problem is that whenever i enter firefoxes safe mode which disables every plug in, i still have the youtube freeze/crash

What format are the attachments? If Pages will not display them properly you will need an application that does. Pages usually opens word documents but can give problems at times, if they are MS Word documents, try Libre Office or failing that you may have to purchase MS Word for Mac, maybe you will need to buy the complete Office suite.
The other possiblity is that you already have a suitable application and Pages is loading the file by default, if so change the default application to open that file type.

Problem with installing and running some applications or drivers

When installing and installing some items, towards the end of the installation I get this message:

The end result is that some things do not seem to work properly, such as my HP printer. Would anybody have any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Thank you for your response. Originally, I had a problem with Airport and ended up reinstalling Snow Leopard. Sometimes, the download hangs and is unable to complete. The main problem I've encountered so far with an application is when I use the printer to scan an image via Preview, it's blank: there's nothing there.

Qosmio G40 hangs and some programs are not responding

Hello and happy holidays to all.
Please could i get some help with my G40?
The pc is hanging and refusing to work.
Ccreens lock and i get constant messages that the program(s)are not responding.
I have run all checks i could find, chkdsk in cmd prompt, defrag etc. There are no problems reported.
I have used system mechanic professional to check registry and everything else, again nothing that is not to be expected was reported.
I have run every virus and malcious software test.
I think i would like to restore the pc to factory settings but cannot find any option to do so.

Hi!
If you want to restore the notebook to factory settings and you have Vista, you must boot from the recovery disks or press F8 at startup and then choose Repair my Computer and follow the menu instructions.
If you have Windows XP, you need the recovery disks.
Before you do this, backup your data first. The HDD will completely erase.
I think also its the best way to reinstall Windows but you should also check if you have the newest BIOS:

I am in the UK and eventually found the problem was due to my BT Home Hub Router. Not sure where you live, but of you are in the UK, this might work for you.

There's an issue related to the BT homehub that is providing a hostname that is "syntactically incorrect" for several smtp server.
Here's how you can fix it.
Using your internet browser, go to the address "192.168.1.254
- Follow instructions to reset your password if asked.
- Then go to "Settings", then "Advanced Settings" and "home network"
You will see there all the devices that are connected or that has been connected before. It's gonna be easyer if yout computer is the only one connected.
Your computer should have a name like "unknown-xx:xx:xx:xx:xx ...
Click on this name, chose another name without any special characters, like "macbook" for exemple.
And then click on "apply"
- restart your computer.
That should fix the issue.

Problems with YouTube and Facebook Videos

Error message something like 'Unable to play video, please retry'.. and that's for ANY video and no matter how many times I retry it fails.I have been having this problem for weeks with both YouTube and Facebook, and both apps have been updated a few times in that time. The last few days I had a notification to update to latest firmware, so today I updated then completely factory reset even erasing data.. And still the problem persists. It's really annoying... Only way to get it to work is reboot the Tablet. Clearing cache and data does not work. Current YouTube version is 10.28.59Current Facebook version is 39.0.0.36.238My Z2 tablet is SGP 511On Android lollipop 5.1.1Build 23.4.A.0.546

I suggest that you try to repair the phone software using PC Companion..
Before repairing your device you may want to backup your information first. Check out this topic for more information on how to.

Problems with youtube and safari 5.0.5

When I try to download a .flv video from youtube using the command+option+A and get the activity window and double click the video it now opens a tab and plays it in the new tab but no longer downloads the file. I haven't done this in awhile and just tried it after updating Safari to 5.0.5 and was wondering if its Safari, Youtube or even flash that is preventing me from downloading the video? Anyone else have this problem? Before now it use to work all the time. I have googled it and I have found nothing on this.

Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file. Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. Try a .flv file. If it downloads the file as it should then move the .plist file to the Trash, otherwise move it back to the Preferences folder.
If that didn't help, back to the Finder window, Home folder, Library / Safari. Move the Downloads.plist file from the Safari folder to the Trash. Restart Safari. Try again.
And check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. Could be an Extension causing a conflict. If you have any installed, turn that off, relaunch Safari, try again.

Firefox 7.0.1 problems with Youtube and exit "x" button

When I am on Firefox, I can't click on the "-"minimize or "x" exit button, I have to right-click in order to minimize or close the screen, also, when I am on Youtube and I click on a video it will start playing fine, but when I try to hit Play/Pause button, skip through video, adjust volume, change quality, or enter full-screen the buttons don't work, the cursor won't even change to a hand. This only happens when I am on Firefox, when I am on IE it works fine.

Sounds like you have VoiceOver (one of the accessibility features) 'on'. Try triple-clicking the home button and see if that turns it off, and if it does you can then change what a triple-click does via Settings > General > Accessibility > Triple-Click Home.
If that doesn't turn it off then you can either turn it off directly on the iPad (you need to use a tap-to-select and then double-tap to activate/type process and 3 fingered scrolling) to go into Settings > General > Accessibility and turn VoiceOver 'off', or you can do it by connecting to your computer's iTunes : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4064

Problems with ADE 4.0.2 - eBooks are not visible

i've installed the latest ADE-Version 4.0.2.
After installation i've deauthorisied and re-authorisied my computer with my AdobeID. I got the Information that the Authority was successful.
But the AdobeDigitalEdition Programm doesn't show my eBooks anymore. All of my eBooks are located in the C:\User\...\Documents\My Digital Editions - Folder. And If i drag and drop my eBooks to the main window of the ADE i get the message: "The document can be added, because it is already available at the library". But the Book doesn't come up at the ADE-mainwindow.
The next Problem is, that i haven't got access to my Kobo-Reader reader. The Reader exists under the rubric device, but if i open the reader ADE breaking off and shut down and show a messag: "ADE has got no solution for the problem."
Please, can anybode help my?

I just compile a kernel with gcc4 and the archck7 patch. I crapped out on the module for my DVB card but I hardly use it anyway so I just disabled it and it compiled cleanly. I'm going to take a closer look at that error when I get some free time but for now, it's given me a working kernel at least
