Problema Apple ID diversi dopo ripristino backup

Buonasera a tutti,

    Ciao
    Matteo

You must first buy Snow Leopard from Apple: 800-MY-APPLE (in the US)
Make sure your system meets Snow Leopard's requirements:
Mac OS X 10.6 "Snow Leopard" System Requirements
To install Snow Leopard for the first time, you must have a Mac with:
    An Intel processor
An internal or external DVD drive, or DVD or CD Sharing
At least 1 GB of RAM (additional RAM is recommended)
A built-in display or a display connected to an Apple-supplied video card supported by your computer
At least 5 GB of disk space available, or 7 GB of disk space if you install the developer tools

    Hi Prabhuram and falez,
This issue appears where there are any inconsistencies in your catalog (generally for video files). This issue may be due to offline files, missing files, video scenes. The recommendation here would be to fix these inconsistencies and try again. If that doesn't solve the issue, please follow steps mentioned in email by me.

This forum is for questions about Apple Remote Desktop, Apple's software for managing networked Mac systems, and hence not the best place for your question. I'd suggest asking in the iTunes for Windows forum. You'll need to include more details, including the version of Windows you have, before anyone can do more than guess as to the problem.

No, not for a warranty or out of warranty replacement.  Any iOS device will be replaced with an identical device.  Heck, Apple still has original iPhone service units in stock for out of warranty replacement and battery replacement of 1st generation iPhones from 2007.

  • What problem Apple is not support AirDrop at IPhone 4?

What problem Apple is not support AirDrop and Siri at IPhone 4?

It needs a second WiFi antenna - from the 4S onwards iPhones supported the 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz frequency bands with an antenna for each. This way, if your main Internet connection is using one, AirDrop can use the other. There is only a 2.4 GHz antenna in the iPhone 4, so it is a hardware limitation.

You'll have to read the terms of your warranty for India and see what your availalbe options are.
There are plenty of service providers in India, so that's not a problem.
Your location isn't a problem, what likely happened is your out of warranty period or you purchased the machine through another country and it got registered with a different warranty period. Once Apple discovered your in India, the warranty for that country is applied.
For instance in the EU the warranty period is 2 years by law, so Apple has to honor that. But elsewhere it's 1 year and perhaps that's why you were denied replacement. Not because your from India, that the warranty period for machines in India is one year, like it is for everyone else.
I guess you could fly to the EU and then make a warranty claim from there, but it's already too late, your machine and conversation with Apple was already recorded.
Now if your indirecting asking folks here to service your machine by shipping it to the EU, you better watch yourself around here.

  • Problems with creating a Time Machine backup on external HDD

    Hello!
I tried to make a new Time Machine backup file on my external harddrive today.
Unfortunately it stopt after about 6 or 7 gb with the popup:
''the backup was not performed because an error occurred while copying files to the backup disk. The problem may be temporary.  Try again later to back up.  If the problem persists, use Disk Utility to repair your backup disk''
I'm certain that the HDD (Western Digital 1Tb) was correctly formatted (Mac Os Extended (Journaled)). It's the same type as my internal harddrive.
I also have a Time Machine Buddy logfile. Maybe that will help in finding the problem.
Also noticable is that after the backup failure, I can't seem to restore or format the external HDD. Once I connect it to a regular pcc and remove and reinstall the driver, I can use it again.
here is the logfile from the latest backup try:

  • Time Machine Problem - New Internal Hard Drive, Now Backup Takes Hours

    Need some help!
    Background.
Almost 4 year old 24" aluminum iMac; 4 gb ram; 500 gb hard drive; OS 10.6.8.
About 2 months after Alpple Care expired, the internal hard drive failed (New Year's Eve of all times!). Everything else working great.
Had a Mac technician I know install a new 750 gb drive for me. I cloned back from SuperDuper, and was ready to go. The SuperDuper external is 1.5 TB, partitioned - one half TM, the other half SuperDuper.
All apps, internet, mail - fine.
I hooked up my existing Time Macinne (probably not a good idea), and the next backup failed.
Did some research, and since I have plenty of archived backup anyway, decided that the best thing to do would be to erase the TM external, and start fresh.
Did that, and as expected, first backup took a couple hours.
    The Problem.
Now, every incremental backup takes 4 to 5 hours, even if no data has changed.
"Indexing" lasts for 45 minues; "Backing Up" reads 600,000 plus files, which also goes on for 30 or 40 minutes (approx.), and wants to Calculate changes etc forever; then the actual backup starts out at 10 kb, and in 20 minutes is at 30 kb and then after about an hour I start getting into gbs and the blue bar progresses pretty fast after that. Then "Finishing Up" takes approximately 2 - 3 hours.
    Not right.  :~(
    What I've Done to Toubleshoot.
First, I re-erased the TM external.
Then reset PRAM and did an SMC reset on the iMac.
Then backed up to TM again. The same problem persisted.
So next, I repeated that process (other than backing up), and I also deleted from the Root Library/Preferences com.apple.timemachine.plist, and from Home/Library/Preferences deleted com.apple.finder.plist. Then rebboted the iMac. Then I did a Disk Utility verify of the empty external - all was/is fine. Then I ran DiskWarrior on the iMac and all was fine; repaired permissions on the iMac from DiscWarrior as well. Then, I did another TM backup to the external, which took a couple hours since it was backing up to an empty drive.
Next 3 incremental backups still take 4 to 5 hours, even if nothing has changed on theiMac.
    The Request.
Please if anyone can give me some easy to understand step by step options I might try to get TM working correctly again, it will be most appreciated.
If I've left out any details that might assist, please also let me know.
The problem computer is at home and I'm at work, so if any logs are needed, I can post those later today (but in that event, please tell me exactly which log to post and how to isolate it from System Profiler or Console (as there are many logs to choose from and I want to provide the proper info if someone needs to see a log to assist)).
    Thanks in advance!

    Pondini,
Did every step in D2 (green box) - except did not reinstall Combo Updater which I did late last night.
After that, did a TM backup - started at 6:15.
    All apps were off.
    Sequence of events and facts:
At start, 434.03 0f 500.1 GB available on the external TM
Last backup shown - 7:58 AM; Oldest Back Up - Yesterday at 9:56 (that's the 1st backup after I reinitialized the external for the 2nd or 3rd time trying to get this thing figured out)
Upon starting and doing the backup -
Preparing 250,000 (approx.) items (too quick to get the final number) - Parenthetically, this AM it was over 600,000; probably has to do with turning off Spotlight per your D2 instructions
    Next message -
    Backing Up 6.96 GB
Hung at 2 kb to 90 kb for 20 minutes before progressing
Ultimately, at 1.78 GB the  progress bar started moving rapidly (as it should) - so this isn't a cable connection issue - the Backup phase took 22 minutes, but from 1.78 GB to 6.96 GB took only a few seconds; I have seen this precise same sequence repeatedly the past 2 days
Next - Backing Up (the candy cane blue and white progress bar)  - Preparing 140,000 items - took 12 minutes
Now shows 426.95 GB available on the external
Next - Backing Up (no count of items shown) - started at 7:05 and went until 7:45 (40 minutes)
Next - Finishing Backup (blue/white candy cane progress bar; no count of items shown) - started at 7:45 - went until sometime after 8:15 (can't give a precise time because I need to sit down and eat :~)  )
Backup completed (between bites of chicken) at 8:23.
    Over 2 hours - something isn't right.
Also, TM Prefs tells me that the Latest Backup was at 7:44 - odd.
Anyway - to take a step further, here's the TM Buddy widget info you might need:
    Successful Backup: 02:06:32.
There is no log entry or data showing.
Just as I sent this, a new backup started, and it appears to be going through the same routine, from Preparing  ....
    Gotta eat.
Please post any further instructions and I'll do what I can tonight.
    Thanks!
What is the problem? How do I speed this mother up?
    Thanks!

  • Trying to link Apple ID with CloudiD -- no backup!?

    Hello Guys,
Unfortunately I deleted a note from my "Notes" app and tried to find the missing note via iCloud. Since I know that my iphone backs up to the iCloud on a daily basis, I decided to try and restore my last notes from the last backup. The "iCloud Backup" is green (activated) on my iphone and it says "Last Backup: 00:20 yesterday". ICloud settings are also all green (Mail, Contacts, Calenders, Reminders, Safari, Notes, Find My iPhone, etc.) but at the top of my iphone it mentions under "ICLOUD Account" one of my ITunes usernames, not the iCloud account - is that correct?
When logging into my iCloud account on my PC, the notes, emails and everything are empty - appart from the contacts.
    - Must the Apple ID coinsist with a precise iCloud account, or must the iCloud login belong to a specific AppleID thats loaded on the iphone o/s for the backup to work?
    - And does iCloud backup the iphone data only via email? Because the email account (=itunes account) that is connected to icloud currently does not fetch any emails on the server due to incorrect email settings. So if the "Notes" data is transmitted via Email and not via the ICloud account itself via Wifi, then could that also be the cause of my problem?
I guess the note i accendentally deleted is therefore gone forever now, since the backups seem to work although there was no error message that came up on my iphone! I just hope that the missing note wasnt anything too important.
Thanks for any reply if you are familiar with this complex problem only - or sure about certain ways that this icloud backup functions.
    Thanks, Ralph
p.s. I tried to find the "Notes" app in iTunes, but impossible to find (with or without the iphone attached via usb). Could you also tell me how to find the "Notes" app in itunes to at least try and open a previous backup of Notes and then see if I can find the missing note that way via iTunes?

I dont remember which of my Apple ID's is linked to this registered "@icloud.com" email address... is there a way to find this out?
What do you mean what I see on iCloud is the original data. I dont see anything under iCloud.com like I mentioned in my first post, thats the whole problem....Notes, Emails etc. appart from contacts are all empty!
Please precise what you mean by not confuse the iCloud data with an iCloud backup.... why should these be different?
I only want to see the last NOTES backup which I cannot access.

  • Problems starting a completely fresh total backup on Time Machine - Help!

I recently had an iMac which refused to boot. I reinstalled from a combination of Time Machine restore and the original system disc. It still took 7 hours to get all the preferences and odd programmes which didn't seem to restore back to working order.
I wanted to do a complete Time Machine backup starting from scratch using a fresh 500Gb ext hard drive. I did the following as suggested:
1.On the Time Machine Preferences window, click the Options button. Note anything in the exclusions box, then click Cancel to return to the main window. Note the settings of other option(s), then turn Time Machine OFF and quit System Preferences.
2.If you're backing-up to an external HD, eject, disconnect, and power it off for a few moments, then reconnect it.
3.Delete the file /Library/Preferences/com.apple.TimeMachine.plist (in your top-level Library folder, not your home folder).
(You may have to navigate to it; a Spotlight search won’t show it, and a Finder search won’t, either, unless you include System Files. If you have a problem finding the file, see item #A7.)
4.Go back into Time Machine Preferences, re-select the drive, re-enter any exclusions and other options you noted in step 1. Note that the oldest and latest backup dates won't appear on this window until the next backup is done.
5.A 120-second countdown to a backup should appear. If you close the window, it should begin immediately.
The Mac HD has a used space of 150 Gb, but before the new TM backup started it counted thousands of files which were 'excluded' even though I hadn't asked for this. When the actual backup started it was saying that it was backing up a total of 68 Gb. Surely this can't be correct. I know that TM automatically omits a number of system files but surely not 82GB worth? I have a feeling that despite trashing com.apple.TimeMachine.plist it may be picking up from where the 'old' external hard drive (which contained the previous total TM backup) left off?
All I want to do is start afresh using this new 500Gb EHD but ensure that the whole of drive is backed up. How do I do this or is there a better way of backing up the whole drive on a regular basis?
    Thank you.

You didn't really need to do all that. Those instructions (from #A4 in [Time Machine - Troubleshooting|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Troubleshooting.html]) are for a "full reset" of Time Machine, such as, when there's a problem with the preferences file, to get Time Machine to continue backing-up to existing backups.
When you back up to a new or erased drive, Time Machine starts fresh.
The Mac HD has a used space of 150 Gb, but before the new TM backup started it counted thousands of files which were 'excluded' even though I hadn't asked for this.
When you did this, was the old TM drive connected? If so, that's probably what was being excluded. Time Machine will automatically exclude the +*currently selected+* backup drive, but if it finds a different volume containing TM backups, it won't exclude the entire drive, since there might be other data on it; so it excludes just the backup files on the drive. Your best bet is to eject and disconnect the old drive; otherwise, specifically exclude it.
When the actual backup started it was saying that it was backing up a total of 68 Gb. Surely this can't be correct. I know that TM automatically omits a number of system files but surely not 82GB worth?
It's possible. Depending on exactly went wrong, and exactly what you did, some things may not have been restored to the proper places, or the sizes being reported are inaccurate.
Exactly what did you do? Did you, for example, select your internal HD in the "Star Wars" display, and tell TM to restore it?
How much data was on your system before all this started? Was it about 150 GB, or was it more like 70 GB?
