Problema cono la Generación de Query SQVI

Muy buenas Tardes, espero que esten muy bien¡
Tengo un ausnto que no me esta funcinado muy bien con lo querys.
Quiero generar un query para revisar cuanto me vale una material Obsoleto en mi inventario. Tengo creada una caracteristica en material, en la vista de clasificiación un material.
Quiero hacer un reporte que me muestre los materiales obsoletos y su valor en mi inventario.
entro por la transacción SQVI, la ejecuto
1.Aqui entro al generador de Querys, le pongo nombre al query y le doy crear.
2.Escribo la descripción y le doy unión de tablas.
Pongo las Tablas
Ausp
Mara
CABN
Despues selecciono los campo caracterisitica en la tabla CABN en la MARA no de MAterial
Cuando la ejecuto no me trae datos, me dice ningún dato seleccionado.
Les Agradesco Infinitamente su ayuda.

Dear,
You cannot assign the Quick View to other user. You need to create a query using the quick view which you created,
Please follow the steps below.
You need to create "user group" using transaction "SQ03", first assign your userid to the group and activate check box to have Create/Change authorisation. Now below your name assign the userid who will be using this query.
Now use transaction SQ01, once you are in the transaction please check whether your are into the "user group" which you created, if not use Shift+F7 to select the user group which you created.
Now use menu Query-->Convert quick view, a popup screen comes, in that you type the Quick View name which you created in SQVI and your userid or the ID which was used to create. Now you type the new Query Name and Functional area.
Now your query is ready to be used by users assigned in the user group.

Mind Boggling Problem: Inconsistent behaviour of a Simple Query

Hi All,
I am faced with a with a mind boggling problem, i have designed a query in BEx Query designer, the query is a rather simple one taking date as input and returning two fields one in carton the other in litres (the conversion is a simple formula) on that date. The problem is when i run this query (using BEx Analyzer) on a date for instance 10th of October, the first time it is run it gives the correct result but when i run it again on the same date i.e. 10th of October it gives incorrect result. To fix this i close the Analyzer log off then log on again and then run the query to get correct data; sometimes this works sometimes doesnt.
I am puzzled pls pls help any one...

Check if the issue with query is also present when you run query in RSRT in SAPGUI. You can also review the cache settings in RSRT

Problem with Queries Structures in Bex Query Designer and Universe Designer

Hi everyone,
I have a problem when i try to do a Universe from a Bex Query Designer.
When I use a Characteristic Restrictions in a Structure, the universe only show me the structure without the objects inside it.

Hi,
I assume that you are using BOE XI 3.1 SP2.
We have added an option in SP2 to generate or not the L00 level.
Unfortunately this option applies not only on characteristics but also on hierarchies, hierarchies variables and structures: that's the reason why you have no elements belonging to the structure generated.
I recommend to always generate L00 in order to have your structure generated correctly.
This issue will be fixed in SP3.

Problem with hierarchy variable while displaying query in Portal

Hi,
I came up with an problem with a query in the portal. The problem is :
I have one query which is displayed in the portal. The Query has hierarchial selection criteria. I am executing the same query using analyzer. Its taking the variable from the selection and displaying it on the analyzer. I have used the option to " display the query on web " from the BEX query designer. From there its opening and displaying the results with the given selection criteria.
Where as when i open the query seperately in portal, its not displaying the results.
I came to know from one of my colleague that the porblem is with the Web item and the hierarchial variable declared in WAD was different from the variable declared in the BEX Query designer.
I never Worked with WAD. I tried finding out the variable definition. But i was unable to find out where the Hierarchial variable was defined.
Please help me out regarding the same.

Problem with combination of two working query formulas

Hey guys,
I have a problem in building a formula correctly with the BEx formula logic. I am sure, you can help me with this.
Right now I have four columns in my query. The first column (Actual) displays actual amounts either in local (10) or reporting (25) currency type depending on the optional selection either in the variable screen or in the free characteristics filter. The second column (Actual with Budget exch. rate) always shows the actual amounts with the budget exchange rate of the reporting currency. The third column (Budget) is build in the same way as the first column, but shows budget amount data. In the fourth column (Variance) the variance between budget and actual data should be calculated, but here lies the problem:
The formula should differentiate the chosen columns for the calculation depending on what currency type is selected either from the optional variable selection before the query is executed or from the free characteristics filter. So if I select currency type 10 it should calculate the variance by subtracting the budget column from the first column, but if I select currency type 25 it should subtract the budget columng from the second column.
I have implemented a formula which works already, but not for both selection possibilities (variable screen or free characteristics filter). Either the formula works when I input a currency type in the variable selection screen or when I select a filter value in the free characteristics filter. However, I need to combine both formulas in one working formula so that the user can choose if he wants to filter the currency already in the variable screen in the beginning or in the filter after query execution. Here are the two formulas which I need to get combined into one formula:
Used Variables:
VScreen_Selection --> value from the key of the optional Currency Type Variable from the Variable Selection Screen
Filter_Selection: --> value from the key of the InfoObject Currency Type
Formula for Variable Screen Selection:
(VScreen_Selection == 10) * (Budget - Actual) + (VScreen_Selection == 25) * (Budget - Actual with Budget exch. rate)
Formula for Free Characteristics Filter Selection:
(Filter_Selection == 10) * (Budget - Actual) + (Filter_Selection == 25) * (Budget - Actual with Budget exch. rate)
Can you help me to combine both Formulas? I can't believe that this is too difficult. Many Thanks in advance.

Problem with date format in select query

I am caught by a stupid problem, please help me
I am writing a queries
SELECT * FROM VOUCHERS WHERE VDATE = '07-AUG-08'
SELECT * FROM VOUCHERS WHERE VDATE = '07-AUG-2008'.
both are working fine in SQL Developer but returning error when called from JDBC Driver.
First query doesn't return any record while it is supposed to
Second returns error: ORA-01858: a non-numeric character was found where a numeric was expected
What i remember, at least second query was working previously but what happend, i dont know
i didn't change Oracle default datetime format or any other defaults

It is a common issue most people don't realize what Oracle does with a query like this. You're comparing strings to dates. Use TO_DATE to convert your string '07-AUG-08' to a date. If you don't, you tell Oracle to convert the string to a date by itself. It may work sometimes but like you've experienced, it is not a very robust or elegant approach.
Try something like this:
SELECT *
FROM vouchers
WHERE VDATE = TO_DATE('07-AUG-2008','DD-MON-YYYY').You can even provide a third parameter to TO_DATE, but it's less frequently used. I let you figure it out.
And a tip: the "urgent" keyword might act against you.

Problem using & inside string in a query

hi all, i have a problem with one of my query.
i try using an & inside a string in a query and sqlplus and toad prompt me to enter a value. it is reconizing it as input. this is my query
select department_name from dept where dept_name = 'S&R';
how can write this query without sqlplus/toad asking me to enter a value for :R
i tried to escape & by using 'S\&R' but nothing happen.

In SQL*Plus you SET DEFINE OFF like this:
SQL> set define off
SQL> select 'S&R' from dual;
'S&
S&R(can't help you with Toad)

Problem in Currency field in Abap Query

hi.
I have created an additional field for storing the currency type.
Based on some calculations i want to store the currency type into this additonal field.But the problem is that the currency field is not getting displayed in the report though i am getting the currency type in the additional field when i check it while debugging. Can anyone help me out...

In tcode SQ02(Infotype)>press extras button(F5)>In right side you will find 4 tabstrip buttons.Press on Extras--> create variable with same type of currency.
goto Field group button--> add this field to field groups.
In record processing event after your calculations assign your value of cuurncy to this new variable.
In tcode SQ01-->enter query name >F6>F6>F6>select your new varaible
>Press on basic list button(shift+F4)>left side you will find additional fields Node From there select your new field-->Save come back and execute the query.Now you will find your variable.

Problem with call transaction and a query

Hi,
Whe have a query that has its own Z tcode, we are working with this "EXIT_SAPLCORF_103" within the tcode CO11N. Inside the include "ZXCOFU13" we call the query Tcode and it is displayed on screen but with no data.
The table "itbdcdata" record well the data of the inputs in the query recording so you can see with the WERKS and the number of reserve (3994) in the recording.
Why the call transaction display the query screen with no data...? and how can i pass the inputs to the query screen so it be executed.

Having problems creating PDF from website with query-string URLs

I have a website that I would like to create a PDF from. I am using the Create -> PDF from Web Page..., selecting the site's home page, and capturing 2 levels, with "stay on same path" and "stay on same server" checked in order to limit the scope of the crawl.
Where the pages are at example.com/foo/ and example.com/foo/bar/, this works fine. However, where the pages are at example.com/foo/ and example.com/foo/?p=1, the page represented by the query string URL is not converted to the PDF.
This is a problem, given that the site I want to archive as a PDF uses query strings for most of its pages.
I have been able to individually convert a single query-string-based page into a PDF using this method, but doing this for every page on the site would be almost impossible given the sheer number of pages on the site.
Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround other than separately capturing each page (which would be prohibitive effort)?
I have tried this in both Acrobat Pro X and Acrobat Pro 9 for Mac, with the same results.

Remember, Acrobat is a 32-bit application and as such cannot access all that 'extra' stuff.

I have a simple query and when i'm trying to choose a material in the selection screen it doesn't choose it.
I make a search for a material and then double click on it and nothing is happen.
Any idea why??

It is unclear to me exactly what is the nature of your problem.
I will assume that what you are saying is that you have constructed a query in which MATNR is one of the items you have placed on the selection screen, and when you select something from the F4 help, and you execute the query, that you get no results from the execution of your query.
Assuming that you have defined an output, this means that the way you have constructed your query, no records satisfy the selection criteria.
If the above describes your problem, then the next step is to examine the infoset. What kind of infoset are you using? Direct Read, Join, or LDB?

Problem with custom code in infoset query

Hi,
I have created a infoset. In the infoset i added a few additional fields and wrote code in the field code for those fields. I saved and generated the infoset. But in the output of the query, i am getting blank values for those additional fields. When i checked the generated program (SE38), the code is not present in the program.
If anyone has encountered a similar problem and resolved it, please let me know where i am going wrong.

After adding the code for additional fields in Infoset, please syntax check and then activate the Infoset. Then the program will be regenerated with your custom code.
