Problema importar miniaturas grises Lightroom 4.4

Buenas:

I would suggest a two-step process:
1) The problem could be due to a corrupt Preference File. This file can go "funny" and is then responsible for all kinds of strange behavior of Lr. The remedy is replacing the Preference File.
Re-installing Lr, or upgrading Lr does not replace the Preference File since it is designed to stay intact during upgrades.
See here for where to find the Preference file for your OS: http://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/preference-file-locations-lightroo m-4.html
See here for how to go about Replacing the Preference File: http://lightroomers.com/replacing-the-lightroom-preference-file/745/
2) If that does not help: Un-install Lr and delete the downloaded Lr 4.3 file. The file might have become damaged during download.
Then download it again and install.

Hello!, my name is jan and i am using lightroom 2 for many years. I have an original set-up disk with a 24 digit serial number. I had never problems wih installation of lightroom. suddenly lightroom refuses to start when I try to from a picture i have taken with my nikon D500 and transferred to WINDOWS 8.1.  i have tried to re-install lightroom : the procedure asks for the serieal number , but refuses to accept the number that always worked. PLEASE help!!  jan

If you are certain you have the right serial number, there really isn't much we can help you with here. You might try downloading and installing the last version of Lightroom 2. It will be the trial version, but when the trial screen appears there is an option to indicate that you have a serial number. Incidentally, Lightroom serial numbers start with the first four digits being 1160.

  • Problems were detected by lightroom on this photo. It will not be possible to make adjustments on this photo.

problems were detected by lightroom on this photo. It will not be possible to make ad.......

It means exactly what it says. There is something wrong with the photo file, most likely it got corrupted somewhere and now Lightroom can't use it.
Use a backup of the photo, or the original if it is still on the camera card, and see if one of those will work.

  • Problems with Syncing to Lightroom Mobile

I have the following problem with syncing to Lightroom Mobile:
In Lightroom desktop it seems that the collections will be uploaded correctly (number of images is counting down to zero). Changes will also be uploaded.
In the web interface I see the collections somtetimes and sometimes not. I can make them appear if I chose the "make collection public" in Lightrrom desktop.
In the iOS App there is absolutely nothing happening: "There are no collections"
I have the recent versions of all applications and OSs. I have deleted and reinstalled the iOS App.
Thanks in advance for your help!

  • Image printing problem with Photoshop and Lightroom specifically with 11X14 cuts off top of image and moves bottom border up. Windows 7 OS - Epson Printer is working properly.

Have an unprecedented problem with printing 11X14 photos in both PS and Lightroom. The printer is operataing properly. Printing 81/2X11 correctly. Have double and triple checked all the printing settings and they are correct. Have checked with friends to no avail. This problem started yesterday. Widows 7 OS. Need help.

You show the OS receiving an image from Photoshop, and the OS starting the Epson print driver and handing it part of the image, the driver connects to the printer, then the print driver fails. It looks like a bug in the Epson rasterizer, or the printer communication.
You really need to talk to Epson.  Photoshop isn't involved in that error.

  • Problem moving files in Lightroom 5 UPDATED AGAIN

    Hello,
I recently changed from LR3 to 5.2 and have a problem I hope someone can help with.
I have a lot of pictures taken on a trip and have created somenew  folders within the original folder to place them into categories. When I drag files from the main folder into one of the new ones Lightroom creates a new file in the new folder , but also  leaves  one in  the original one. If I then delete the file from the original folder LR deletes it from the new one as well.
I have checked the preferences and catalog settings and read the instruction PDF but can't find anything to help.
I should point out that the catalog was created in LR3 and imported into LR5 and has behaved fine in all other respects.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Graham
UPDATE: I've just discovered that it is only that particular original folder that's affected. I am able to move files around into and out of other mother folders OK. Perhaps the folder I'm having thr problem with has been corrupted in some way?
    Message was edited by: Mahargo
Further Update: If I open Adobe Bridge I can move the files around as I please, so I guess I can use this as a workaround. (Couldn't do that in Windows Explorer as you can't view DNG files there). I'd still be grateful if anyone can shed light on this. I'll investigate further tomorrow and post again if I find an answer.

I'm also having an issue with degraded exports. Here is a screencap of the RAW file
Here's a screen capture of the exported image after I've re-imported it into lightroom. This is a JPG with sRGB and 100% quality. It's resized on export with 3264pixel long edge at 240dpi.
Here's a screen capture of the same JPG viewed in Windows Photo Viewer, but it looks the same in web browsers too.
What changed? Why is there so much dark black color running into the photo? It's like a printer is printing too much black. I want to export it so that it looks the same in all other viewers as it does in photoshop.

  • Problem viewing files in Lightroom 2.6

Am using OS Windows 7, 64 bit. Have inages stored on an external USB hard Drive (320 GB Toshiba) and use an 8 GB thumb drive for administrative files. With both devices plugged in I open Lightroom and see the following:
    Catalog>All Photographs: 21,526
    Folders>Home (L:) [thumb]: 19,433 photos
              >Aggie (O:) [Toshiba]:  2,093 photos
Indicator light to left of "Home" is orange.
Indicator light to left of "Aggie" is Black or Green.
Problem One:  The desktop seems to find "Aggie" and then lose her - cycling "On" an "Off" so to speak and for no apparent reason. The drive is not being moved, cables jiggled or anything discernable. This cycling might happen every minute or so. This does not appear to be a function of the drive because I can work in the directory in Explore and drag and drop files, e.g., without any difficulty. So, the question here is -- is this a problem within Lightroom or even in the OS.
Problem Two:  The 19,433 photos that Lightroom indicates as being in the "Home" folder simply are not there! They are, in fact, on "Aggie". I prove this by doing a *.DNG search in the "Home" directory which comes up empty. The 2,093 photos which do show up in "Aggie" where they belong are recent imports -- possibly since upgrading to Windows 7.
    Questions:
        1.   Does anyone have a clue why the hard drive might be dropping out and/or cycling?
         2.  How is it possible that files which are clearly on one drive will show up in Lightroom as being on another drive?
         3.  Why is it that when the indicator light on "Aggie" is Green the folders on that drive still have a "?" beside them?

Maybe I am misunderstanding your terminology, but are you saying you have 19,433 photos on a 8GB drive?
If any folder is showing a ?, then right click on it and locate the folder on the drive.

  • Problem splitting catalog in Lightroom 2.1

I am using Windows XP w/sp2 and have migrated to Lightroom 2.1. There are two people sharing one catalog each with one master folder in the catalog and a hierarchy of sub folders. I have tried to set up a second catalog for the second user. Wanting to be cautious, rather than trying to export the entire second user's master folder at one time I exported a bottom level folder with a few picture files (CR2 & JPG) into a new catalog. This worked fine. I then tried to export more folders to this new catalog, but each time Lightroom created another new catalog for the folder. I now seem to have several catalogs where I only wanted one more. If I try and import to the new catalog I get messages which say the images are allready in the catalog.
I have been unable to find this problem discussed in any of the forums etc. which I have come across. I did see a comment in an older discussion thread that Lightroom 1.x would not accept folders into a folder which contained images. Does this still apply?
I am now in the situation where I need to export a block of folders from the origional catalog to a new or recently created catalog, and add to it the sub folders which inadvertently reside in their own new catalogs. Once everything for second user is in a new consolidated catalog I should be able to drag and drop in order to organize properly. Can anyone help before I make it worse that it is? I do not want to lose adjustment data.
Additionaly is there anywhere in Lightroom that will list all of the catalogs which have been created? The only list I can find seems to be in file > open recent, which does not distinguish between catalogs and folders within a catalog. File > open catalog, just gives access to everything on the C (main hard) drive.
Thanks in advance to anyone who has the solution or can point me in the right direction.

I don't think you are describing anything that is a bug or problem, just a misunderstanding: you just cannot export TO an existing catalog, which you already discovered.
Whatever it is you want to do, you need to either export an entire set of images at once, or import into another catalog that does not have the images already in it.
Maybe you can export the images you didn't, already, to a new catalog, then import those individual catalogs into it. It's a bit unclear what your exact situation is so it is hard to describe in detail, what to do.
One thing that might help you is that you can right-click on a folder in the catalog's folder list and say "Add Parent" and it'll move that folder and all it's peers down one level so you can then synchronize that parent folder and get to the other folders that are peers to the ones already in the catalog.
The only way to find all your catalog files is to do a file search for *.lrcat files.

  • I am having problems exporting video form Lightroom 4.2 should I downgrade?  Suggestions?

I have recently been processing some time lapse videos when the 4.2 version was released and I updated my Lightroom.  With 4.1 it was taking approx. 20 - 25 min to export a 1 minute video, with 4.2 it started taking about 5-6 hours when it doesn't stall and crash part way through.  It seems to start quite quickly then about one third of the way through it slows to a standstill.  I haven't installed or made any changes to my computer.  The other two problem I've been having are lagging when using the spot removal tool, up to 30 seconds between spot removals and my Smug Mug plugin keeps disappearing for no known reason.  The video is my biggest problem at the moment.  Should I switch back to 4.1?  Here are my specs from my computer(taken while processing a video:

  • Canon G16 problems downloading RAW into lightroom 4

Hi just had a Canon G16 as a birthday present. Love it.
I have lightroom 4 and my computer is running the latest edition of Snow leopard.
But am having problems downloading RAW images. Lightroom doesn't seem to want to read them.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

The Powershot G16 needs LR 5.2 or newer to work:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
LR needs OSX 10.7.x or newer to work
    https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/system-requirements.html
You can try the DNG Converter 8.2 and see if it’ll run on your OS, and if so, then convert the G16 raw files to DNGs and those will open in your older LR4:

  • Problems with install of Lightroom 5

I have purchased the latest version of Lightroom 5, have done the download with no problems. When I go to install the program I get the following message "Error 1500. Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one." I am using Windows 8, I have no other installtions going on that I am aware of, I have tried this multiple times on different days and times and still get the same results, any ideas?

Temrinate als setup.exe and msiexec processes in your taks manager. You do have another install running and from a previous install of another program that's left unfinished to user privileges issues to external tools interfering there could be a milion reasons. Your info is simply insufficient for anything beyond that.

  • Unusual Problem importing files in Lightroom 3

I am totally delighted with Lightroom 3 on my new MacPro, BUT I am experiencing a minor but mysterious problem when I download and import files. Here is what happens.
In the right-hand panel, under Destination, I select the folder where I want the downloaded files to appear. An arrow indicates that folder, in most cases a folder for the current year, in whch all my downloaded files appear in sepaerat folders for each day's shoot. I have also clicked the "Into Subfolder" box, and selected to organize the files by date, selecting a certain date format in the second box.
At this point, Lightroom 3 displays a greyed-out Subfolder within my selected destination folder, named in the way I have chosen, presumably showing me where the folder will appear once the import is complete. I then click import and Lightroom imports the photos.
But when I return to the grid view and look to see where that day's Subfolder of newly imported images actually shows up, I get a surprise. It is never in the destination folder I selected and that was marked with that small whit arrow marker. Instead Lightroom has placed it several steps up in my folder hierarchy, actually in the root level where all my image folders and subfolders start from.
But since that is not where I wanted this folder to appear, the first thing I try is to click and hold on the misplaced newly imported subfolder and try to move it to the folder where I had wanted it to appear. But I get a message saying that it is impossible to move because a folder of that name already exists where I wanted to move it. Sure enough, when I look at the folder structure in my Macintosh finder I see that the import is indeed in the correct place, with the new subfolder and files renamed as I specified in the Import dialog. But it doesn't show up that way in Lightroom 3.
I have even discovered a slow workaround to get it to appear where it really, already is. I select the newly imported but misplaced folder of images, and remove it from the catalog. Then I go to the folder in which I wanted it to appear, and click on Synchronize Folder in the Library menu, and then, final, in what is actually a second import, that folder appears, and in the correct spot.
This happens again and again, consistently. I am running SnowLeopard, of course, on a very new MacPro. What on earth can be happening. I find this very strange. Any suggestions or explanations would be greatly appreciated. Is this a known bug, or something just happening to me?
    Thank you, Lito

Thanks for your post and sorry you're also experience this two-folders-in-LR but only-one-at-the-Finder-level problem.
It looks like I've finally solved this problem, but I suspect I did so the hard way ... if I even understand where in the process things were fixed. As previously posted, when I tried to "move" one folder in LR into the other, LR got confused and deleted the entire contents of one of them! This was the existing one I had been using. Thousands of photos gone! I searched the hard drive and even used disk recovery software but, no, they had vanished. I luckily retrieved these photos from a backup drive, so that's good, but it makes one nervous to fiddle around with this particular problem.
Anyway, BEFORE I imported the new photos from the back-up drive, I first deleted LR prefs and in the process stumbled upon old LR prefs from LR2 and LR3 Beta. Cleaned them all out -- including LR prefs -- and wondered if that had anything to do with the problem. Then rather than Import>Copy the photos, I worked at the Finder level and copied them into position in the <2010> folder, retaining the month and date folder structure. This is at the Finder level. Then in LR, I used Import>Add and the photos properly were added to the existing <2010> folder (the newer of the two that was still there after the disaster ... the new one that LR is intent on importing into). It all works now.
Hope I've written that so you can follow along. Don't know if that will help you in your situation. If you have questions, please let me know.
Good luck, but don't work without a backup, OK?
    Best,
    Bradley
