Ciao A tutti ieri ho aggiornato il mio iphone alla versione 10 di itunes, e poi ho messo ios 5.0.1 avevo fatto il back up ma già un'altra volta mi era successo che mi erano spariti i brani acquistati su itunes e sta volta sono spariti tutti!!
Sono disperata ho speso troppi soldi e c'erano le mie musiche preferite.
posso chiedere ad itunes di ridarmele?le ho già pagate e stra-pagate!
PS: è L'UNICA COSA SPARITA DOPO L'AGGIORNAMENTO!

Have you tried using the iPod with another user account or computer, to help narrow down whether the problem lies with the computer, account, or the iPod itself?
Maybe try reformatting it, using the tools provided by Windows. Instructions on how to reformat your iPod can be found in this article.

There were no error codes. I went to the download site and started to download. Popup window appeared and then when I clicked on save, the window disappeared, but no download appeared in the download folder.

Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

Acer system, Windows 8, trying to download iTunes for Windows 8. Partial loads but at @ 75% stops. Worked with prior version of Windows transferred over.
Full message: "A problem caused the program to stop working correctly, Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
Troubleshooter didn't help, removing and down loading iTunes for Windows 8 did not work. same message each time.
Windows message says its an "incompatible program."
How do I get this to load correctly? AND HOW IN THE WORLD CAN I TALK TO SUPPORT ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, I HAVE SPENT 1/2 DAY TRYING

Apple don't provide free telephone support for iTunes.
For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it, which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

Application to iBooks problem: iTunes account already used for apps

I work at a publishing company, where we have an iTunes Connect account we use to sell apps to the appstore. I'm trying to use this same account to distribute iBooks as well. So I go to the application portal at https://itunesconnect.apple.com/WebObjects/iTunesConnect.woa/wo/7.0.0.9.7.3.1
where it says you can submit multiple different media type using the same accoutn as long as you apply seperately for each. I choose Books from the dropdown, then fill in my First/Last name, AppleID, and password, check the box to agree, and then I get the following error:
"The iTunes Store account entered has already applied to distribute Apps on the iTunes Store. To continue with this application, you must enter a different iTunes account."
I don't understand this as it seems to contradict the other information about being able to sell multiple media types with one account. Am I supposed to make a new AppleID? A new iTunes account? What do I need to do to sell iBooks?

I have registered with iBooks, but will also need to sign up to sell Apps really soon. Posts in the thread confuse me a lot, since they are mixed to the point of being mutally exclusive.
So do I really need a separate TIN/EIN and company or what?
I mean Apple is quite specific that I'll need another Apple ID for every time of content

But - really will Apple flag a mistake for using same legal address, company name and etc?

Sync problem itunes 11.1.5.5 iphone 5 Version 7.1 (11D167) Windows 7 Home premium Outlook 2010 contacts calendar

I'm no longer able to sync contacts, calendar or notes from my computer's Outlook using iTunes. For a while I was getting a message that the server could not be reached for resolving conflicts - probably got that message every sync for a month or so and just ignored it. Then I followed online instructions for dealing with that problem and renamed the file conflicts.syncconflict. The instructions suggested that this would cause creation of a new conflicts.synconflict file, which it did. But then the sync just seemed to hang on the contacts portion of syncing, even if I left it for a couple of hours. So I renamed the old file back to conflicts.synconflict.
Now sync doesn't work at all for me if I try to sync any of Outlook contacts, calendar or notes. If I disable all those, the sync works for things like apps, etc.
I have already tried:
     checking latest version of iPhone software
     in iTunes, clicking edit / preferences/ devices / reset sync history (not sure whether this button really does anything or not)
     using outlook's scanpst.exe to check for corruption of my main outlook files and most of my ancillary folders
     resetting the iPhone (pressing the button upper right and the circular button at the bottom for several seconds)
     trying the sync after rebooting the computer and not turning on Outlook in the interim
The present symptom is that the attempted sync just hangs on the syncing contacts stage, and won't complete. I can cancel the sync, but I can't complete it (unless I uncheck syncing with all the Outlook data). I'm not getting any error message.
This is what I'm using:
          iPhone 5
          iTunes version 11.1.5.5
          iPhone software Version 7.1 (11D167)
          Windows 7 Home premium
           Outlook 2010
          Asus G74SX computer

I had this problem as well and found a way how to solve this:
You need to reset your iPhone by pressing the Home button and the Power button simultaneously until the iPhone reboots.
After it rebooted I unlocked the phone, connected it to my PC and ran the iTunes sync without any problems.

Problem; itunes and external hard drive

I saved my musics to my external hard drive and imported them to my itunes library, and tried to modify their tags, but everything in info section was inactive and couldn't be modified. but once i move the file to internal drive, it works fine no matter where it is stored afterwards. what's the problem here? I've already tried deselecting the read-only attribute.

You would have to change the tags while working inside the external drive. Then when you look at them through iTunes you will see the changes that you made.

Oh actually, just managed to get around it... Installed iTunes 10.5 and then used 'Apple Software Update' to update it 10.6.3

ITunes & iPod problems - iTunes not recognising iPod

Like everyone I've been having trouble with the speed of itunes on windows. I now have a new problem.
When I connect my Nano, iTunes fails to load as it should and whenever I connect it, Windows opens E:\, almost as if iTunes doesn't exist.
When I do open iTunes and then connect iPod all is well except when I sync my iPod - windows opens up E:\ again - my nano!!!
Anyone have any suggestions.
Waiting on my new 5G iPod to be delivered in the next few days - feel like returning it because of all these problems and the sound of silence (or is it ignorance?) from Apple!
No doubt my post will vanish soon enough because of my negative feedback...

the best fix with this one is to remap the drives ...
(if you're doing that, be cautious about remapping high-letter drives on which you've got programs installed ... the registry can get desperately confused if a program is on a different drive than it expects it to be. but if you've only got programs installed on your C drive, you should be fine.)
on the other hand, i can't recall having any "repeat customers" coming back with a recurrence of this after trying the "shift the ipod drive letter" technique. so, fingers crossed, you should be fine even if you only adjusted the ipod drive letter.

Problems + Itunes no longer works

I recently used a system optimization tool because my system in running pretty slow. It worked somewhat, but now I am having problems in other area that previously were just fine. For instance, whenever (since the optimization) I open iTunes, iTunes takes forever to open and no longer contains my large library of music that was once there. I did a little snooping around the files in my hard drive to see if I could tell if there is an obvious problem. Well, there is, but I can't figure what to do about it.
In the "user" file in the hard drive there are duplicates of the desktop folder. I am thinking that the optimization took the the desktop contents and placed them into a folder and stored them in the User folder....Arggghh
Does anyone have any idea what is going on here?
Two more questions:
1.) My hard drive is filling up, so I want to upgrade it to a large hard drive. I've read articles, where people have upgraded there hard drive on the same or lesser models of the emac 1ghz g4, without any problems. The current hard drive is a 5400 rpm 40gb. I would like to put in a 160-320 GB 7200 rpm hard drive in. My question then is, will there be a definite problem if I do so?
2.) I want to upgrade to Tiger or Leopard. Do I have to install Tiger before installing Leopard? Or, can I just wipe the hard drive clean and install Leopard? I tried installing Tiger from a disk my wife owns only to find a "grey/ you need to restart you computer now screen." My theory is, the only way this computer will install that Tiger disk, is if I wipe the hard drive clean first.
Whew.... Sorry for the naggingly longish post. But, I have to ask because I need to keep this computer for at least another 1.5 years.

I can only guess what the optimization tool did, so I won't. Duplicate desktop files would normally be bad, but please be a little more descriptive. Are there duplicate folders in your home folder? iTunes looks in a the iTunes folder in your Music folder which is in your home folder. Is that OK?
One possibility of what to do next: get an external HD and move all your important files to it. Erase your internal HD and install 10.4 or 10.5. Then, move important files back and/or access them from the external HD. It's honestly a bit dificult to advise you exactly what to put on the external HD and what to put on the internal HD without knowing what sorts of files and apps you use the most - so you could post back with that info or actually any more specific info on the app you used to clean up your HD and what's going on in your home folder.
Is the disk you got form your wife grey or black? Grey disks are intended for specific Macs, black ones will work on any Mac that meets the system requirements for the OS on the disk.
Installing a new internal HD in an eMac is not impossible, but it's going to take an hour or two if you've never done it. Also, make sure you don't get a SATA HD, as that won't work in your eMac. You'll need a plain old ATA, or PATA HD.
As for 10.4 or 10.5 - you'll want at least 1 GB of memory installed to get reasonable performance out of 10.5, and a 1GHz eMac may not be the best Mac for 10.5. 10.4 install disks are getting harder and more expensive to come by.

Itunes 1.11 windows 8 install problems, itunes 11.1 windows 8 install problems

I am running Windows 8 on a Dell XPS16 laptop and was using iTunes v 10 something. When upgrading my iPhone 4S to IOS7 while connected to iTunes running on my PC, the upgrade indicated that I needed to upgrade my iTunes to v11.1 something (the latest version). I proceeded to do this and the upgrade appeared to work OK. However, when attempting to restart iTunes (after a reboot) all that happened was that the iTunes Software License Agreement window opened on my PC. There are no buttons on the window, even after scrolling all the way to the bottom, and no option but to close the window. So my current state is that I now no longer have a working iTunes on my PC.
I have tried many of the suggestions made to others who were also having problems with this upgrade. Each time I downloaded, saved, ran or re-ran an upgrade, the install appeared to work fine and finished normally. Each time the installation populates the \Program Files (X86)\iTunes folders and the properties of the iTunes.exe are as follows:
I thought this was to be a Windows 64 bit upgrade so I'm not sure why it gets put in "...\Program Files (X86)" as opposed to "...\Program Files".
I have tried all of the following and each time I just get the same license agreement window shown previously:
1. Followed an iTunes support link that indicated how to remove and cleanup all Apple software and then re-install iTunes by downloading it and using Run As Administrator to run the downloaded file iTunes64Setup.exe.
2. Tried to troubleshoot the .exe using the properties | compatibility | Run Compatibility Troubleshooter option - no luck.
3. Numerous cycles of download and save the update, uninstall the old, install the new, install/repair the existing, etc.
Note that about a month ago, I allowed iTunes to upgrade itself to version 11.1... and the same thing happened as described above. I spent many hours trying to resolve the issue and finally had to go back to ITunes 10 something. I have, since that time, ignored any iTunes requests to upgrade but in a weak moment when upgrading my phone, I lost my head and let the upgrade proceed! Hopefully someone has a solution to getting the Windows 8 64 bit upgrade working.

"Not Authorized" problem • iTunes 9.0.2 • Nano 5th Gen ?

I've had a look at a lot of posts on this subject but none that I have seen have helped me resolve the problem (I went back to the beginning of Nov in the posts menu), hence this post - *forgive me if the answer is buried here somewhere*.
*Its a query regarding 'syncing' and 'authorization' (again) on my MacBook Pro.*
Okay, here goes... My GF had a really old Nano so I treated her recently to a new 5th Gen 16GB. All was well UNTIL I upgraded the OS on the MacBook Pro from 10.4 to 10.5.8.
That's when she started getting the "+This computer is not authorized to play...etc+" message. Obviously not uploading to the new Nano either.
I have (and still am) in touch via email with iTunes to try and sort this but I thought I'd throw my hat in here as well.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes; I've Deauthorized and Reauthorized; Made sure the iPod is up-to-date, all according to the instructions on the Apple Support site.
I think, pretty sure actually, GF has accidentally created two accounts over the years (though why this should be a problem now?) as purchases from 2006 show under a different Apple ID/Account Name.
The newer account is fine. The old one we 'can't find'. We have the Apple ID but the password associated with it doesn't work (GF swears its the only password she's used, but I guess we have to assume it is incorrect). I can't retrieve the missing password clicking the 'send email' button in 'iForgot' as we no longer have that email account (recently moved from the UK to Oz).
So I'm struggling in finding this 'missing account', though I don't know exactly what to do with it when/if I do! I was hoping if I spoke to iTunes nicely they'd transfer purchases from the old account to the new and resolve the problem that way.

Getting reeeally sick of this happening now.. everytime it sync's itunes tells me that it does not recognize my ipod device.. or something like that..
i have re-downloaded itunes, restarted and restored everythin several times, and done everything apple support tells me to try, but it just keeps happening. this is ******* me off.. please if anybody has had the same problem and managed to fix it, tell me, because im about to freak out here..

Problem iTunes 7.0.1 in Mac OS X

Hello, how are you.
When I use iTunes 7.0.1 (last update) and play a song... just when it finishes, the %CPU (use of CPU) increases considerably up to 100% in some cases!. I think that problem is related with the Mac OS X 10.4.8.
So, why is this happening and how can I do for reducing the use of CPU when a song finishes and begins the following?

Problem itunes after upgrade ios 6

Hello everyone:
After to upgrade to IOS 6 I'm having problems to connect with iTunes Store from my iPad. The message is: Impossible to connect to iTunes Store. For this reason it don't be able to upgrade or buy applications directly in my iPad.
I had reinit the iPad and the user connection to iTunes but not resolve the problem.
On the other hand, from my iPhone with IOS 5.1 I don't have any problem and the same thing from my computer iTunes software.
Has anyone else the same problem?

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.
