Problema notebook no prende

Hola, tengo un gran problema ayer trate de pendrer mi notebook y presione el boton de encendido y nada, no hubo reaccion ni nada, asi que asumi que era un problema que no tenia carga busque el cargador lo conecte y nada aun. desconecte el cargador y la bateria y volvi a conectar el cargado y trate de prenderlo y solamente prendio la luz que indica que esta prendido nada mas, no produce ningun sonido ni nada. nisiquiera del ventilador o un pitido y nose que hacer.
Alguna Idea?
es un Lenovo Thinkpad E440, hace 2 meses me cambiaron el display por garantia, nose si tendra algo que ver.

Hola, los pasos para confirmar si el fallo puede ser mas grave son los siguientes
* Desenchufar el portatil
* Quitar completamente la bateria del equipo
* Pulsar el boton de encendido durante 30 segundos
* Conectar el equipo a la red electrica sin batería
* Encender normalmente el equipo.
No tiene porque tener nada que ver que te hayan cambiado la pantalla.

Based on your provided diagram, the router would be providing IP address for all network clients connected to either the router or to the Express. What is the make & model of this router?
It is a "linksys broadband router wireless g 2.4 ghz". Yeah the router provides the IP adresses.
I don't know if it is important but the router and the APExpress are connected via two dLAN adapters from devolo.

Satellite C855-1UU shut down problem, notebook turn on itself

Hi to all,
I hope that somebody can help, I need to know what to do. I bought this notebook Satellite C855-1UU two days ago, and I`m afraid that it has some malfunction.
Everything works fine, except that I have problem when I want to power off notebook. I`m using Linux OS (tried with Sabayon and now on Manjaro, just wanted to check is it OS problem or hardware).
Problem is:
when power off notebook (with power off icon or via console command) , notebook turns off...then stays turned off for about 5-10 seconds, and then switch on by itself without any reason!
I tried to determine what could be possible reason, and I found that`s only happening when battery charger plug is connected. Tried with removed battery, with loading default BIOS values, nothing changes...always turn on itself.
When unplug battery charger from notebook, and try to power off computer, it works.
Any suggestion, idea or advise what to do?

Problem with notebook Lenovo B450

Hi all, sorry if i wrote to not special category, but im not find my notebook in you forum lines....
i have a problem : Notebook Lenovo B450 when insert usb 3G modem him power down, when switch to power on keyboard not work, and don't see battery, in to Bios, in version list, KBC version have a unread symbols...
and now when switch to power off notbook not power down, him turns off the monitor but cooler working... power to down only disable AC and remove battery... How i can a by this KBC controller? or how i can a flush bios without battery

Flash tools have settings file, in file find param Battary = 1 (true) im set to (0) false, and bios will flush =)) keybord work, battery charging

BIOS problem - HP G62-b13st

I have a problem with my HP G62-b13st notebook. Yesterday I had to replace CMOS battery. Now I don´t have problem with losing time, date, etc. But i have a new problem. When I turn on a notebook, notebook not show HP logo and help to enter the BIOS, only black screen is showing. After 3 seconds system begins to starting. When I turn on notebook and I pushing the Esc key, notebook do nothing and notebook automaticaly continues to loading Windows.
So now I can´t change boot sequence, show System information etc.
I tried install new BIOS, downloaded from HP web site, but Flash utility only showed BIOS version: F.48 - 1439 and after a few seconds is notebook restarted, but problem persists.
In addition to this problem, notebook works fine.
Please anybody to help me, because I like to entering into the bios settings, because if I will have a problem with loading Windows, I will have problem with setting boot sequence from USB memory.

Try hitting F10 instead of ESC while it is booting up. That might get you into the BIOS.
If that doesn't work, I would try rolling back to an older version of the BIOS to see if that helps resolve the issue.

HP recovery disc failure with the following error message

Notebook:
HP Pavilion g7-1070us
OS: Window 7 home premium 64-bit
Problem:
Notebook failed to start. Bought recovery disc set from HP and tried to do the factory restore (Factory image recovery)
The first two steps went smoothly:
1) "Reformatting the window partition of the ard drive;"
2) "Copying files required to restore the hard-drive;"
But at step 3: "Restoring files to the hard-drive", when the progress bar showed 46%, it got stuck and the following error message popped up:
Copy File Fails
From: E:/PRELOAD/BASE3.SWM
To: C:/RM/Image/BASE3.SWM
I tried a few times and every time it got stuck at exactly the same point.

Assuming this is just a problem with the recovery media, here's an alternative option you could try.
Before trying the following, make sure you can still read the 25 Character Product Activation key on your Windows COA label ( 5 blocks of 5 alpha/numeric sets ).
An example of a COA Label can be seen Here.
You can create an installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the correct Disc Image ( this must be the exact same version that originally came with your notebook ) from the link below and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here. These Images are clean and from a well-respected source, however there are only limited versions available.

Troubles with graphic card driver at Equium A60

Hello everybody,
At first sorry for my bad English.
I have some trouble with the driver of my graphic card. After a new installation I just wanted to install the driver of the ATI Radeon 7000 (I have an Equium A60), after this I had to ascertain that my pc was out of order. The trouble was because the driver, I'm sure, because after a new installation, without the VGA-drive, my notebook is working, somehow.... I mean, I'm sure it could work better if the graphic would have an own driver.
I have been searching on the web and I did see that this was not a new problem; many people have the same trouble with it. Somehow, the pc's own driver is not compatible.
Could anyone help me to find a solution for my problem?

Sorry my friend but your posting sounds really unbelievable. Original Toshiba driver is not compatible with the hardware. It can not be. It can not be the truth!
Your notebook model is almost 4 years old and I presume Toshiba have had enough time to react if display driver is somehow problematic. I recommend you to back up all your data and try to install your notebook using original recovery image. If there is no hardware problem notebook should work well again.
Sorry but I do not see any other solution there because the driver is definitely tested and it must work well.

CS4 not start installation

I would submit to your kind attention the following problem:
Notebook Sony Vaio VGN-FW31ZJ 4gb of ram
Windows Vista Home Premium x64.
The problem is as follows:
when I try to install the Adobe CS4 Suite setup is loaded as a process on task manager for about 10 seconds after which the process is terminated.
This happens either after trying to install just bought a notebook and then with no other software installed in and is trying to install the Suite CS4 after installing the CS3.

Hp stream 13 buzz when playing video

I just got an HP Stream 13 Touchscreen notebook and when I play videos from youtube, netflix there is an annoying buzz in the audio every so often. It even happens when I play streaming audio, but less often. I updated all of the drivers and software from HP's website. Windows is up to date also. I have very good internet access (cable modem) and this doesn't happen with my other laptops. The buzz happens wheather I'm using headphones, chromecast or the notebook speakers. I had an HP support tech take control of my notebook and he said the hd video driver was corrupted. He also updated the BIOS. I had already done those things and am skeptical of his suggestion when it continued to make the buzz. He said to send in the notebook and they will replace the speakers. Umm.. it happens with headphones??? So why would they replace the speakers? Anyone else having this trouble with the HP Stream? I've seen where people are having problems with the buzz and other laptops. Thanks in advance.

Were you responding to my message for ? For the keyboard problem you describe, see the following two pages. There is a section on cleaning the keyboard which shows how to remove and replace individual keys safely. I hope that helps with that problem.Notebook Keyboard Troubleshooting (Windows 8)
Cleaning your Notebook PCAs to your sound problem, you mentioned that you got a replacement and it was fine but later you got the buzzing in it as well. I am curious as to whether this problem occurs only when plugged into a wall outlet. If you find that the buzzing does not occur when you are running on battery power, but does happen, when plugged in, I would recommend trying different power outlets. You may be getting some sort of feedback from your power. Just an oddball thing to check out. Also did you try out any of the things I gave for Kelvin7879 to do?

Tecra A2 shuts down trying to open IE browser

I then reboot to get back in and when I send an error report via Microsoft it recommends I update my BIOS.
The internet does work through other avenues and as far as I can tell all the Microsoft updates are .. up to date.
As a complete non-tech I have no idea how to proceed from here, or even if this advice from Microsoft is correct as it does qualify the statement by saying it has not seen this error message before!
Any help I can get would be appreciated!

To be honest I have not seen this error as well.
Maybe this issue is related to corrupt operating system this might be possible
I think you should check if new OS installation will help you to solve this problem
If the issue will still persist then an hardware problem might be the reason for that
Im thinking about RAM or motherboard problem
I remember that my first notebook (it was 10 years ago) has had an similar problem
Notebook shut down while opening html files the issue was related to motherboard issue the technician has replaced mobo and this solved the issue.

Tecra M11-13J Diode GPU Overheat

This probably don't have any effect like every time i phoned to Toshiba technical support.
But, i will try anyway.
I bought a Toshiba M11-13J on August, since then i need to sent him to warranty two times, the first time it was the same problem that was described in topic:

The motherboard was substituted.
A week later, the second problem began. I started to hear the fan sniping faster, but the air it was not to hot. I run Toshiba health monitor and i saw that internal system temperature and fan speed it's always above 80%, then i installed Everest that show me the temperatures of some components, one of them it's strangely hot, GPU Diode, without any program running the temperature it's above 80C/90C, and the processor and HD was on de 50C and 35C (approximatively).
After this, i left my pc in warranty again, and one more time, motherboard was substituted.
Again, more or less one week later, the old same problem appeared again, in Toshiba technical support, they did not give any special attention to my problem, they only said to leave my tecra again in warranty, but this time, i cant be without him, i'm in college, i have a lots of works to show in classes and do at home, exams to study, and i have no time to leave him in warranty again with the same problem.
I bought a Tecra because it has suppose a non problem notebook, but i was wrong.
I beg you (Toshiba) to give me an alternative solution to my problem, i think this is inadmissible.
When i'm working, sometimes with programs that wasn't supposed to use image, like matlab when it's doing calculus, the diode GPU reaches more then 125C, and when i'm in classes and i need to have work to give my teacher on the end off the class i cant stop or my grades will be "0" in that works.
The rest of the temperatures stay much below this level, like processor at 75C and HD 30C.
I simply don't no what to do more, i already reboot my notebook, bios it's upgraded.

Some questions:
1) Are the vents breathing easily? The system may overheat if the vents are blocked.
2) Have you tried removing any dust build up? Try spraying Compressed Air through the Vent.
3) Are you using the standard display driver from the Toshiba Website? Installing other drivers can cause this kind of problem.

Sound gets off after few hours Satellite L745

Hi,
I have Satellite L745 model, bought 4 months back.
Two days before, I was using internal speakers for watching movie and after 2 or more hours there was no sound from the internal speakers of the laptop. So I tried other sound tracks, youtube etc but there was no sound from the internal speakers nor from headphones. I thought sound card is burnt as I was feeling hot right above the audio jack input. So I switched off the laptop for 30 minutes and switched on again, and found that it was working fine, there was sound from both internal and external headphones.
Yesterday night same problem happened again, there was sound, working fine but suddenly after few hours there is no sound. I switched off the sound track and waited 5 minutes and again switched on the sound track then there was sound for few seconds but then again no sound. So I did same switched off the computer for 30 minutes and checked again then there was sound from the interanl and external both.
I dont know what is the problem I did call service centre for technical assistance and he told me to re-install the drivers I did so. To check whether it is working fine now or not I need to switch on my laptop and sound track on for more than 3 hours.
Any one experiencing such problem or any assistance from Toshiba technicians will be welcome.

I had exactly the same problem during the reproduction of a youtube video or any other sound from a music file or a video played in Windows Media Player, if i don't put the level of the volume at the top, the problem doesn't exist. I updated the drivers of the sound card Conexant Cx20585 @ Intel Cougar Point PCH, as well as the drivers of the BIOS, but nothing improved. Previously I did the system restore, but then I started to update the drivers since the restoration did not solve the problem.
I can not think what else to do, at least I'm relieved not to be the only one with the same model and the same problem notebook, Toshiba staff stay tuned!

P965 Neo-F v1.1 Issues

Hello all. Just set up a couple of PCs using this board. Configuration as follows:
- 1.10 BIOS
- E2140 Bsel modded CPU
- MSI X1650XT vid card
- HP PC5300 2x1GB(dual channel)
- Vista Ultimate x86(patches up to date)
Issues:
1. FSB speed beyond 300MHz won't save; I was able to use Core Center to push the FSB to 320MHz though.
2. Smart Fan doesn't seem to work.
3. Dual core center 2.0.x.x crashes during startup with a really helpful message "Daul Core Center does not support".
4. The reason I need Dual Core Center is to tune down the noisy X1650XT fan. Rivatuner, ATI Tools etc. do not work, grrrr.
5. Of the three USB headers, only one work with the card reader. But the puzzling thing is that they all work with USB drives.
6. Of course, as you all know, the lovely Jmicron won't boot IDE optical drive -- a perfect definition of "chicken and egg". I ended up installing a lite version of Vista on a bootable 1G USB drive.
Any thoughts/workarounds on these issues are much appreciated.

It's futile to use any of MSI windows based apps. :-) It's good way to hell. So if you need to Overclock, just do it in BIOS setup (bios 1.10 not reseting setting any more...i hope).
Smart Fan, its very importatn what you mean by "doesn't seem to work". Neo-F has very low ability to regulate FANs (if this is what you want)... co for low noise use Bios setup again and turn on Smart Fan function - you lose last chance to regulate anything, but noice are really lower and it works good. And forget to any better regulation of Sysfans ... just try some hardware way (if you have molex connected fans.. just change cables to reach 9V voltage.. or some other regulation method).
About JMicron .. i dont meet this problem personaly. But i know its sometimes hard to configure. So try to set Jmicron to IDE mode. Save and Restart. And again in bios setup try to change boot sequence. And for you better feeling try another Optical Drive.. to proof your problems aren't in drive itself. Way how jmicron works is strange, you dont found your IDE in "Standard CMOS setup" but you offten can find your devices on setup of boot sequence.... (and try to check connection of your DVD ...master/slave etc etc)
USB.. yeah i know this problem - notebook HP and usb devices. But i hope this isnt only hardware problem.. it may be confused OS.
ehm .. and ... try another mobo :-) ..for example ASUS P5K (se) seems very very good ... :-)

Satellite A500-17x Restarts

I have recently received my A500-17x back from repair, and now whenever I play a game, about 10 to 20 minutes in (Sometimes as few as 5 seconds, though.) the laptop will restart. No error/blue screen is shown. This had happened only once before the repair as far as I can remember, and I thought nothing of it; assuming it had overheated. Now the restarts sometimes occur within 5 seconds of launching a game, This is definitely not an overheating problem, as in many cases the problem occurs within minutes of startup, the laptop is cold to the touch. There have been several threads on this board that have touched on this problem, it is not just me experiencing this. The other threads suggested unplugging the AC adapter; and although this does work, it is hardly ideal as playing games without the laptop on AC power soon runs down the battery, and as such it is not really a 'fix'. After upgrading to internet explorer to IE9, I now find that I have to disable hardware acceleration in the browser as leaving it on also causes the seemingly random restarts. I also found that eventually the DWM would cause this issue too, although it seems to be far less frequent - requiring several hours of use.

One person claimed that having the motherboard replaced solved the issue for him. If so, a part number for that particular motherboard would be greatly appreciated, as would any information reguarding a true 'fix' for this issue. I think you cant compare your problem/notebook with other A500 threads because you wrote that problem only appeared after repair and before that everything was ok.
If you have changed nothing on software and installation I would contact the authorized service provider again or have you already done this? It would be interesting to know what the guys say about this behavior but I think they will offer you checking the notebook again and fix this problem.
So get in contact with the local ASP and explain your situation and the guys will help you to get rid of this :)
