Problemas con WMV en Premiere Pro

Buenas
Agradezco vuestro ayuda.

  • Problem Playing Video in Premiere Pro CS4

I am having a problem playing video in premiere pro. When I input any movie clip and try to play it in both the timeline and in the preview mode, the audio works fine but the video only plays a few seconds worth of footage at a really slow pace so that it takes up the entire time. For instance if I load a 3 minute video, the sound is normal but over the coarse of that 3 minutes I will only see a small number of the frames and they are cycled through in ultra slow motion.
All the clips play normally outside of premiere. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I have premiere installed on my laptop and it works fine. I have tried rendering the video first and it still doesn't work. I have tried holding shift before the program is loading and it did nothing. I have downloaded all the updates too. Videos seem to play fine in After Effects.
Also, I am having trouble when importing HD video into premiere and after effects. For some reason the programs freeze when I try to import footage from my Creative Vado HD pocket video camera.
    Here are my computer specs
    Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit
    Intel Core2 Quad q8200
    ATI Radeon 4670 Graphics Card
    Gigabyte Motherboard
    4GB of 800 Mhz RAM
This is really frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Keith,
The file extension .AVI indicate a "wrapper." All sorts of stuff can be in that wrapper *. Some of that stuff will play/edit fine. Much will not and create issues, as you have seen. Your camera uses a CODEC to create those .AVI files. That CODEC is the issue. I recommend G-Spot to find out what the CODEC is. Some times it's just a matter of having the proper CODEC installed on the computer. Most of the time, it takes much more than that - hence Eddie's links on "conversion." At least G-Spot will get us all on the same playing field, and explicit help can follow - probably to study Eddie's links. My guess is that your camera uses some form of DivX CODEC, hence the problem that you see.
    Good luck,
    Hunt
    * Think of .AVI like the foil wrapper on a stick of gum, when you remove the outer lable. You know it's gum, but not what flavor. Could be Juicyfruit, or Spearmint, or Double-mint. G-Spot will tell you the flavor. PrPro likes some flavors, but hates others.

  • Problems with Codec in Premiere Pro 5.5

    Hi All.
I've been having problems with Premiere Pro 5.5 and in partucular the 'Intel IYUV Codec'.
I originally created a project in PP version 5. Then converted it to 5.5. All was working well until one day I went into work in it and it would not work. A message came up "THis project contained a sequence that could not be opened. No sequence preview preset or codec could be associated with this sequence type"
I found some posts in this forum that suggested fixing some of the offending sequences, which I did and it seemed to work fine. This involved changing the sequences preview to use the DV 24p Advanced codec instead of the default Intel IYUV Codec.
However, the program seems to default back to the IYUV codec when I close the program down. Each time I have to go back into Version 5 and manually change the codecs back to DV 24p Advanced.
However, what confuses me is that in earlier versions of my project that do open in 5.5, I notice that they are still using the IYUV codec. WHich I thought was the offending item in loading up in 5.5.
I would continue to just edit in version 5, but we have some Red Epic footage that we need to add in and then will be shooting some further footage on the Epic.
Needless to say I'm a bit confused. So if anyone has some ideas or instruction that could help me get this sorted so I can edit my project in 5.5 I would be so grateful.
    regards
    Darran

    Hi Jim.
I had created a custom preset using the Desktop, and then for the codec I had changed it to Microsoft AVI and then for the codec DV 24P Advanced.
However I may have solved my own problem with regards to it reverting back to the Intel codec. I changed the amount of Auto Saves, (which was only set at 5, to 10) So I'm figuring it was not letting me save the sequence presets when it did an austo save. Seems to work fine now. I also noticed that in 5.5 there is no Intel IYUV codec, which would explain why it cannot open the sequences. So I'm hoping it's all good now. thanks.

  • Problem to start Adobe Premiere Pro CS6

    Hi,
I've tried to solve this problem for days now. Have tried all kinds of troubleshooting, finally just updated from OS X Mountain Lion, have reinstalled and updated Premiere, also followed the tips here: Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 permissions problem
    Still nothing...
Premiere Pro has encountered an error.
    [/Volumes/BuildDisk/builds/mightykilt/shared/adobe/MediaCore/ASL/Found ation/Make/Mac/../../Src/DirectoryRegistry.cpp-283]
I'm using a(n older) macbook pro. The problem started last week, after I had installed Apple Logic Pro X and because of its huge need for space with 30GB of sounds (no option is given to download them on an external drive - which, excuse me for the term, seems kind of f***ed up:s), had to move around files to my external drive and aliased. Then did so for two larger Adobe folders as well. When I realized that I couldn't start Photoshop nor Premiere, I put those files back where they were. Photoshop went back to okay, but Premiere... absolutely nothing.
    What else could I do?
Would appreciate any help. Thanks so much.

  • Encoder keeps running into a problem and closes adobe premiere pro down too.

Hello, i have be trying to open my Encoder but for some reason it keeps running into a problem and closing on me and has a time or two closed down my adobe premiere pro down too. What is happening?

Hi. I have the same problem using an HTC Incredible Android smartphone. The video/audio not in sync. Slight advance or delay. Not matching. I have the phone set to record as mp4, but when I use the file it says 3gp, so I transcode it to mp4. I have filmed a lot with my smartphone and now I have all this footage for over 6 months that may have this problem so I seriously need to know how to fix this or I have a ton of bad footage showing me in frame talking and it's not going to be right for YouTube videos of selfie-vlogging. So, I need to know the best, most fool-proof, most efficient, time-saving way to process and make it workable without taking too much time. Please share the very best methods which work 100% of the time. Thanks, JR

  • Serious problems with performance of Premiere Pro, no problems with AE

    Hello,
Since short, whenever I use Premiere Pro, I seem to have big problems. It is running really slow, the preview always stutters and some projects with a lot of imported files don't even load. I thought it was my computer dieing, until I started After Effects. I thought After Effects was a much tougher program for my computer to handle than Premiere Pro, but it runs just normal.
Recently, my laptop got too hot a lot of times, especially when using Premiere Pro. It shut off automatically out of safety. Maybe because it was running this program, some of the files got messed up because of the heat?
Is there anybody who knows if this is my problem or if there is another problem that I am not seeing?
    Much thanks in advance!

    Intel Core i7 CPU Q720 @ 1.60 GHz
    4.00 GB RAM
    Windows 7 64bit
    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5730
Ever since the problem occurred, I have been working mostly with pictares I took. These are jpegs of 5184x3456 pixels, usually between 5mb and 9mb. The project I can't even load contains 58 of these imported images + 1 sequence.
My OS is installed on my C: partition, of which 107gb of the 116gb is used.
Premiere Pro is installed on my D: partition, as well as all the files used in my projects. On this partition 250gb of the 329gb is used.
Premiere Pro used to run really well, until about a month ago, when I started to have these heat issues.
Thank you very much for helping!

  • Problem rendering MXF files Premiere Pro CC 2014

I'm working with MXF files on a project that has pretty normal cross dissolves etc. The footage is mostly 60p and I'm using the occasional time remapping effect etc. The closer I've gotten to the finished edit now suddenly the timeline will render up to about 90%- 95% then stall slowly rendering for 20-30 minutes or more.
I'm working on a 3.5ghz Core i7 iMac - 32 GB of ram. Up to this point it's been pretty seamless working with these files. I've also upgraded to Premiere CC 2014.
This is very very frustrating at this point though since it seems completely random when a clip might take 3 seconds to render or 3 hrs.

Got the same Error. Previous I worked with a GTX 760, and was hoping to get it fixed with using a GTX 780 6GB. But just as you, didn't solve the Problem.
Usually I got the Problem solved, with exiting Premiere, restarting it, reset my Workspace. Then the Problem of having the bugged Workspace was gone. And also the Problem of the missing Video Tracks.
At the moment I started on a new Project. Pretty simple, with only a 21 second DV footage. And here I was switching tabs with my Browser, came back to the Project, and the Video Tracks were gone. I saved, closed Premiere, restated and the Video Tracks are still  missing.
So I made a new Sequence, voilá the Video Tracks are there. Thus I need to copy and paste the Tracks onto the new Sequence.
But that is not really a solution!
I was on the Phone with Adobe, and on Chat, but they couldn't help me. They suggested to get a Tesla or Quadro Card, or at least a GPU that got confirmed as working on their page. I did that, but obviously, that is not the issue.

  • I cannot see the text while typing unless I press space bar or enter. This problem only happens on Premiere Pro CS6 and Final Draft 9.

The word just doesn't show up unless I press space bar or enter. This just happens on script window in final draft 9 and title window in Premiere Pro.

Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 120, NVIDIA GeForce GT 120, PCIe, 512 MB
That card is under-powered for the hardware-accelerated Mercury Playback Engine.  If you've tried to get it working with hardware MPE, then that's a likely cause of the crashing.  Pr needs at least 1 GB of VRAM for hardware MPE.  Stick to software MPE and things may improve.
    Jeff
PS - thanks for self-editing the crash log.  Too many times users will post the entire log, which makes the discusssion unreadable for anyone but a software engineer.

  • Rendering problems with Cineform files Premiere Pro CS6 Mac

Using CS6 Premiere Pro (latest updates) on MAC OS X 10.8.2 with Cineform stereoskopic files. Generally all looks good. Preview is working smoothly. When rendering (H264 Blu ray, MP2 DVD, Quicktime.. does not seem to matter) slowly the number of threads is increasing while rendering and when there are about 2050 threads or so then rendering just halts, CPU load going down, progress stops, rendering never finishes. Anybody having an idea what could be the issue?! Thanks

Okay how should I be exporting the files to use in premiere then? I exported a couple that were just a minute long and they ended up being 2 gb...

  • Using WMV in Premiere Pro and dealing with huge idle processes

Ok, I'm not sure if these two issues are related but here goes.
I am a training developer, and a lot of what I do is editing screen captures. I have Production Premium that I use to edit my screen captures. The screen captures I get using the free Microsoft Expression Encoder, which encodes into high-quality WMV.
These videos import fine into Premeire, but my machine slows to a crawl when I try to use them. I am a recent import from FCP, and I know that there, I delt with the same issue until I started converting to ProRes.
Now, I know Adobe doesn't have a standard format, but is there another format that I could/should use that would help me.
Perhaps unrelated, but I'm also noticing that, even when I close Premiere, I still have often huge processes running in the background. The premeire pro process sometimes is running at a hundred MB (100,000k) when the program is supposed to be closed (it also runs at a GB of memory when open but idle).
I have a new and fairly fast machine, and am not sure why I'm having these slowdown issues.
    I'm running:
Production Premium CS5.5 on Windows 7 (64 bit)
    8GB RAM
    Intel i7-2600 @ 3.4 GHz
    AMD RADEON HD 6350
Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions to any of this, from setup changes to better formats to transcode into, I'm all ears.
    Thanks!!

I'm not sure what is eating up your system resources, but .wmv files
are considered to be a delivery format, and are not ideal for editing.
I have never tried to edit screen capture video from any source, but you might consider
upgrading to Expression Encoder 4 Pro (with codecs)... at least it includes H.264.

  • Importing WMV into Premiere Pro CS3

When importing some wmv-files into Premiere only the audio-part imports. No video.
    Other wmv-files imports without problems.
The problem seems to occur only with files converted (from mov?) to wmv on Mac-systems.

    Henrik,
I'd do a conversion of the WMV's to DV-AVI Type II outside of PP. Import the converted files and you *should* be able to edit them. Quality will likely have taken a hit, but as you do not have the original files, that is the best you can do.
Always request that your client, or whomever, furnishes you with a DV-AVI Type II in the future.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • CAN'T IMPORT WMV INTO PREMIERE PRO

I read other threads like this without any success.
I'm working with a 64bit windows 7 pc and 12 Gb ram. It worked fine until a week or so ago. Now I'm trying to import wmv files, about 20 Mb files and Premiere doesn't allow me to import these. However it works with smaller files.
Basically what I'd need to do is importing a wmv from after effects, created from a jpg footage. I'm doing animations and the way I used to do it, has been always the same. Importing in AE my jpg footage, exporting as wmv to re-edit it through premiere. It is easier for me working these kind of files in premiere to have quick animations, since avi files are huge and QT ones don't work either.
I called the customer service and after half an hour at the telephone finally it seemed working (with small files) but then I had the same problem.
May this be a memory issue? Corrupt file? Windows media player can play these files, thouh I read it doesn't matter if it works with it.
I need this by today for an exhibit and I'm pretty worried to not being able to finish the job.
    Any suggestion?
    Thanks

    Thanks Harm.
I don't need to have a very high quality for my videos at this point. I usually export as I've said and so far no problem at all. Now I'm fighting with this issue and wasting my time trying to understand what the problem is.
I spent the whole day yesterday uninstalling and reinstalling the softwares, you can imagine how frustrating this can be if you have a close deadline.
I prefer to work in AE first and then handling my file in PR.
I'll give it a try and see if your suggestion is worth the time.
    Thanks
    G
