It's good to know. The Apple instructions for loading iCloud on a PC just seem to have either overlooked or hidden this limit. The larger problem is that it partially works: partially and erratically. So clean-up is great fun.

Export Photos and Videos from Camera Roll to your computer.
Empty Camera Roll.
Make a Folder/Album with all photos and videos you want to have in your iPhone and sync them through iTunes.
This will free up space in your iPhone and your iCloud.
The backup of Camera Roll in iCloud is only to restore your iPhone. You can't access them directly.

Avant toute choses en ce qui concerne mon I-phone je précise que celui-ci est neuf car mon ancien trop abimé j'ai utilliser mon assurance prise chez The Phone House ...Je précise aussi que celui-ci n'a eu AUNCUN DEGAS et que je n'ai effectuer AUCUN traficotage avec ...
Et en ce qui concerne mon PC il a aussi des problèmes diverses ....
Je me demande donc si on pas m'a pas rendu un I-phone trafiquer ? .....
Les problèmes sont les suivant :
I-phone 3 Gs :
1- Impossible de naviger sur le net avec Safari !! ; Le message suivant apparait : " Impossible d'ouvrir la page
Safari ne peut ouvrir cette page car la connexion réseau a été perdue."
2- Impossible d'envoyer des photos ou d'en poster sur les forum ><' !! : Par mail ou même un simple message ><' ....
Exemple : J'envoie un simple message avec une photo
1-2 ) Je peut aller via leurs applications, sur le site Facebook et Twitter MAIS sans pouvoir poster des photos ou regarder dans les albums même le miens ><' !!

Je n'ai pas tout tester mais en WI-FI je peut poster et voir mes photos sur Facebook, comme navigier via Safari ....
Je précise que j'ai ré-initialiser mon I-phone plusieurs fois et c'est pareil ....

Je me suis rendu dans une boutique SFR, ils ont constater comme moi le même problème et n'on rien pu y faire .....
Je précise que je possède un abonnement SFR carré connect 2H ....250 mo ...il men reste encore pas mal ..Avec mon ancien I-Phone et malgrès qu'il soit bien abimé je m'avait aucun problèmes pour surfer etc avec ce même forfait ....
Mon PC aurait trop de beug et cela serait du à cela ? ( j'ai aussi des problèmes avec I-Tune qui se bloque des fois au démarage, je ne eput regarder mes série TV télécharger car le lecteur bloque ou met les vidéo à la fin etc, il affiche notament déVut de la sincronisation au lieu de déBut ) ....

If you are near an Apple store, you can take the cable, charger and iPad in for testing.
Or like Anti says, try a different cable.
I'm not familiar with Cheeseball cable, though. I've used Apple and Griffin with good results.

Problème avec la synchronisation iPhone/Windows7

Bonjour, J'ai un GROS souci avec la synchronisation de l'iPhone d'un ami et de son PC sous Windows 7.
Voilà ..en fait, je lui ai installé sur son PC Windows 7 avec Outlook 2007 .
J'ai importé tous les paramètres de l'ancien système , calendrier , messages, contacts , etc..
mais lors de la 1ère synchronisation de l'iphone, ça m'a supprimé les années 2000 à 2008 du calendrier sur le PC (et sur l'iphone) et parallèlement supprimé ce que cet ami avait noté sur 2010 toujours dans le calendrier. Seules sont restées dans le calendrier les anniversaires..
Pour les contacts, ça a supprimé uniquement les adresses mail de chaque contact (non présentes sur l'iphone mais présentes sur le PC) et pas les adresses postales.
Pour les messages pas de synchronisation, mais c'est normal .
Je précise que pour la synchronisation, on passe par itunes et les cases "remplacer" pour les contacts, calendrier etc ne sont pas cochées.
Selon la configuration , il ne doit rien être supprimé.
Merci de votre aide, car je ne sais pas quoi faire, et mon ami souhaiterai vraiment récupérer ses informations.

I've just updated my iPhone to the iOS 5, and I'm having a hard time accessing iCloud. Everytime I do it closes on me.
I'm not sure if this is important, my MobileMe expired a few months ago but according to the FAQ, I could reactivate it use it for my iCloud account.

A LOT of open ended stuff there. If you are close to an AppleStore (I thought there was one there) I would set up an appiintment with a Genius at the store and have them help you thru it all. Those workshops are actually quite incredible. If that is not an option the "use" videos on the support site rock as well.

ICloud with os lion 10.5.8 and IPhone 3Gs

What a pain in the A**. Is there anyone out there that can assist me? I would soooooo appreciate the feedback. Not sure if its fully functional with this combination. (ICloud, Lion 10.5.8, IPhone 3Gs) I dont want MobileMe. I have an Mac email. I have the Iphone 3Gs with all of the updates. I just downloaded ICloud to my MAC itunes to get some of my music off the hard drive and free up space. When I synced my IPhone through ITunes, I am not able to look at my photos, emails etc (gmail etc). Its says I need to sign in with correct password? Ive put in the correct passwords? I used the password that I use on my mac (which works fine) but doesn't work on IPhone? Crazy. I authorized my Itunes, with no luck of finding the area to adding the IPhone either? Does anyone know if its compatible? I do have an upgrade to Snow Lepoard, (that I have not upgraded to yet) but was reading in the forum, thats its not compatible with ICloud and IPhone 3Gs?
Any one that can help would be so greatly appreciated!

Mac OSX 10.5 is Tiger, not Lion. iCloud is not supported on Tiger AFAIK unless you login to iCloud.com. I still run Snow Leopard (which you should probably upgrade to), and iCloud is basically useless for me. The whole reason we have iPhones is so we DON'T have to stay connected to Wi-fi 99% of the time to enjoy iOS services right? lol
If your passwords don't work, you may just want to reset them, so then both your iPhone and Mac will recognize them.

Il te faut refaire une restauration en choisissant l'option "Restaurer comme nouveau téléphone" (ou quelque chose du genre), attendre que la restauration soit terminée, puis refaire une restauration à partir de ta sauvegarde. Cela devrait régler ton problème, à condition que tu aies bien coché toutes les cases dans le menu Général de ton iPhone dans iTunes... Sinon, ne seront restaurés que les items que tu avais cochés (bookmarks, photos, applications, etc...).

I run both Mac and a PC and have iTunes on both, which has previously recognised my iPhone. I had updated my Mac with the new iTunes software with iCloud and updated my iPad2 just yesterday. I then wanted to do the same with my iPhone today, but my Mac wouldn't recognise the device so I tried it on my PC, which recognised the phone but told me I needed to update my iTunes and this in turn wanted to update my iPhone software. After completing all this and restarting, my iPhone now shows the iTunes icon with the USB plug pointing towards it, obviously wanting me to plug it in to my computer to re-connect with iTunes, but now neither of my computers recognise my iPhone and my PC states an 'Unknown Device'. My Mac doesn't even see it. Can anyone help as I really need to get my phone working?? Thanks

ICloud emails sent from apple mail or iPhone 3gs never arrives, works fine when sent from iCloud website

The ony place I have been able to send and receive email since the launch of iCloud has been the icloud website. I wasn't able to send email from my iphone 3gs or apple mail at all until today, now it finally appears to let me send email but it never arrives to its destination.
I can send an email from the icloud website without issue, and email sent from my icloud account using my iphone 3gs and apple mail seems to send fine and without error but who knows where it goes.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

I figured out how to fix it... if anyone else has this problem, go to Outlook > Preferences > Accounts > select the IMAP account > Advanced > Folders and for "Store Sent Messages in this Folder:" select "Sent Messages (Server)."

Iphone 3gs and icloud lost 2/3 of my contacts for no reason, backed itself up on icloud, now they are gone.

1) I have 3 iphone 3gs phones (2 16gb and 1 8gb) all updated to iOS 5.0.1.
2) I added the 8Gb device to my itunes account and icloud this weekend and then I decided to make another itunes account for that phone and seperate it from the other 2 phones as it is used by another family member who does not need to be connected through icloud to the other 2 phones.
3) When I did this it changed my old itunes account email address to a non-existent email address that was a strange combination of the two email addresses for which I have appleIDs with.
4) I went back to itunes and fixed the appleId email address back to the correct address.
5) Following this ordeal, 2/3 of the contacts vanished from my icloud account and phones. Never to be seen again since icloud does not back-up any contacts but mirrors them.
Therefore, since it backed-up to icloud prior to discovering the problem, I will need to manually recover over 100 contacts. If you need to restore from the iCloud back-up, how do you do it? You can set what you want to back-up and you can delete the back-up but you can not restore from the back-up in any obvious or easy way??? If it simply mirrors this information, then quit calling it a back-up... not true! It would have changed how I set-up my phone in itunes... also, why would any contacts just disappear without notice or anything? Just vanished? I assume when it backed-up to iCloud but it happened on the 2 phones connected to the same iCloud account, because they are synced with iCloud. So I can sync to iCloud and back-up to my computer but then I have to deal with duplicated data on the phones which have limitted memory.
Another issue, a single instance of online support from apple is $29? Enough never to use apple product again. They change the OS so often they should always carry free online support for these changes that are not associated with the purchase date of the phone. Ridiculous! and discouraging... I found the same thing from HP support... If you can't put out a product that works longer than 1 year, then I won't buy your products anymore. Apple has 90 days of complimentary support on products and a 1 year waranty? in this economy that is irresponsible and they have poor engineering if your dependable lifecycle is 1 year. That's all they can guarantee? Based on the average american's income, they expect you to spend a large percentage of this on this kind of technology every year? Figure it out Apple.
Can anyone guide me through the propper way to use this crap without losing data. I have not quite coped with the fact I have lost all of that data. Horrible.

my daughter upgrated her iphone 3gs to a 4 and she gave me the 3gs. I wanted my own icloud but when i go into it its her account. if i delete her account on the 3gs will her icloud on her iphone 4 be deleted also or she deleted off the 3gs. thanks in advance.

HT201269 How can I get my backed up notes from my iPhone 4s (itunes, not icloud) onto my old iPhone 3GS?

My phone was stolen. I didn't have an icloud email address, so everything but my notes were synced from the phone to the icloud. However, I did have an itunes backup of the phone. I would like to take the notes from that backup and put them on my old iPhone 3GS. The problem is that the old operating system won't let me restore from the 4S backup. I have to use the 3GS until I can get a new phone in a few months and I need my notes. Is there anyway to do this? Thanks for any help.

It will ONLY be where you put it.
If you failed to maintain a backup copy, then it is gone.
If you had been syncing your notes to back it up, you can use 3rd party software like iPhone notes recovery to try to recover some of your notes from your backup. However,
if your audio books are not fully included in the backup (they are only backed up as necessary to maintain call favorites and recent call lists). This article will show what's
