Cordialement,
Kamal Bouamran

Apologies for Google translate...
Am I correct in assuming that you have a Logging Control connected to a remote gateway running on another computer and you want to access the log file on your local computer?
Excuses pour Google Translate ...
Ai-je raison de supposer que vous avez un Log Control relié à une Gateway distante exécutée sur un autre ordinateur et que vous voulez accéder au fichier journal sur votre ordinateur local ?

  • Log File Path

    Hi All,
    while i am trying to connect to SQL data source in Essbase 9.3.1, it is giving me some error in which it is mentioned to check the "log file". Can any one please let me know this Log file path.
    Regards

    you most likely want the application log. It woul;d be found at %arborpath%\app\your application name. the name of the log would be your application name .log. You can also view the log from EAS. Right click on the application name, select View then log (I would select the current date) then the log should show up. scroll through it to find your error

  • Pg Number, File path and date automatically printed?

    Is there a way to automatically print the page number, complete file path and date at bottom of each  page (set to landscape)?
    Thanks!

    Thanks Carlos,
    It looks like the work72a would work if we were using macs, but we're not...
    And there is NO WAY my boss will pay $999 for the other one, even if it did work.
    So, now I'm open to other suggestions. We have hundreds of clients that we do work for, and our jobs are organized in folders for each client. A lot of clients with the same name but different locations (ie., Fox Meadow OH, Fox Meadow TX), and each has a different folder. The files are named by dept and year (ie., 2012 Glass, 2012 Art). We often access old files (which, there are thousands of, because they have been organized this way for years.) We need to have the client folder on the page along with the file name (hence the file path).
    The script that Carlos created is great, but there are too many steps. Open the script, change location and select info to be displayed (3 steps), close script. There are days we access 50 jobs and the script just added 5 plus steps to each job.
    Is there a way to use a hot key run a script that will place the info when and where we need it and auto close the script? Or is there a way to display the full path (in the Illustrator tab?) where we can see which folder the file is in and we will manually type the folder? Or does anyone have another suggestion?

  • How to change the log file path in BEA tuxedo 6.5 client in Windows xp

    Hi,
    I am using BEA Tuxedo 6.5 client in windows xp.
    The log files are created in C:
    Kindly help me in changing the log file path and also i want to know where these configurations are set.
    Advance thanks !!!
    Regards
    Bunsim

    Hi Bunsim,
    ULOGPFX is an environment variable. Your client executable can set an environment variable as part of a startup script,
    it can be included in a file used by the client that is defined with WSENVFILE environment variable, it can be read in
    a file by the client executable after startup using the tuxreadenv() API, it can be set by the client using the tuxputenv() API,
    the profile for the user executing the client can have an environment variable defined, or the windows registry can include
    a definition for the environment variable(there is also an BEA applet on Windows for administration but I think not on client only installs).
    WSNADDR is an environment variable that defines the address of the workstation listener that the client will connect to.
    Look for where your client defines WSNADDR and add, or modify,the ULOGPFX definition to meet your needs.

  • How can I change the log file path instead of storing log in server.log

    Hi,
    I have created one domain and modified the attribute "log-file" in element "virtual-server" element to point to the new log file path.
    But when I start up my domain, it still saying: "Log redirected to DOMAIN_LOCATION/logs/server.log.
    Why?
    Why it doesn't log to the file I specify? How can I change it?
    Thanks.
    Ken

    I have changed the logging option to my specific path in admin console as what you said. I have also changed the logging in domains attribute too.
    But still there is some logging info in domains/<dom_name>/logs/server.log instead of the path and file I specified.
    Is it possbily related to linux user role setting? the Sunone AS is installed and configured by root user. But the domain is created for another user, hence I want to forward all logging info to that user's home path.

  • Can't create log file with java.util.logging

    Hi,
    I have created a class to create a log file with java.util.logging
    This class works correctly as standalone (without jdev/weblogic)
    import java.io.IOException;
    import java.text.DateFormat;
    import java.text.SimpleDateFormat;
    import java.util.Date;
    import java.util.logging.*;
    public class LogDemo

         public static void main( String[] args ) throws IOException
             Date date = new Date();
             DateFormat dateFormat = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyyMMdd");
             String dateStr = dateFormat.format(date);
             String logFileName = dateStr + "SEC" + ".log";
             Handler fh;
             try
               fh = new FileHandler(logFileName);
               //fh.setFormatter(new XMLFormatter());
               fh.setFormatter(new SimpleFormatter());
               logger.addHandler(fh);
               logger.setLevel(Level.ALL);

    }and I call it in a backingBean, I have the message in console but the log file is not created.
    TraceUtils.initLogger("SEC");why?
    Thanks for your help.

    I have uncommented this line in logging.properties and it works.
    # To also add the FileHandler, use the following line instead.
    handlers= java.util.logging.FileHandler, java.util.logging.ConsoleHandlerBut I have another problem:
    jdev ignore the parameters of the FileHandler method .
    And it creates a general log file with anothers log files created each time I call the method logp.
    So I play with these parameters
    fh = new FileHandler(logFileName,true);
    fh = new FileHandler(logFileName,0,1,true);
    fh = new FileHandler(logFileName,10000000,1,true);without succes.
    I want only one log file, how to do that?

  • How to delete archive log files from ASM through Grid Control

    Hi
    Anybody suggest me how to delete archive log files from ASM through Grid Control.
    Thanks

    It is important to specify both, the oracle version and os version when posting, so confusions can be avoided.
    In this particular case, since you are referring to asm and grid control you could be talking about either 10gR1, 10gR2 or 11gR1; but I strongly suggest you to avoid us to be guessing. In either case, you sould go to the maintenance tab of the target database and program a scheduled 'delete noprompt obsolete;' procedure. This will purge the information stored at the Flash recovery area, which I assume you have declared inside the ASM.

  • Problem with the log file path on the Data Logging Control Veristand

    Hello everyone,
    My problem is that I use a computer as a gateway on the network. It is connected to PXI in Real Time. I have another computer connected to the gateway to read the given PXI. I am unable to record on my local hard drive using the Data Logging Control VeriStand on the second computer. However, it can save me on the hard disk on the network. Moreover, I have no problem to record if the computer is a gateway.
    Regards,
    Kamal Bouamran

    For simplicity, let's call the computer running Veristand Computer A and the gateway computer Computer B.
    So, just to clarify, you're running the Veristand workspace on Computer A, which is connected to your network and the RT PXI (on which the system definition file is deployed) through a gateway, Computer B. With this setup, you can't use a data logging control to save a file to Computer A's hard drive. However, you are (from the workspace running on Computer A) able to save a file to Computer B's disk or to another drive elsewhere on your network. Is that all correct?
    What happens when you try to configure the control to log to computer A's disk? Do you get an error (and if so, what error)? Does the file path default to a different location?
    Also, what version of Veristand are you using? What version of Windows are you PCs running?

  • Datalogging with options to retrieve subset of log file based on date/time

    I would like to thank this forum for useful advice so far in completing my LabVIEW software.
    I have a data logging challenge. I am supposed to log about 30 parameters every 5 seconds. Some of these parameters are digital (ON/OFF), some are values of speed (rpm) and others, an expression of a percentage (%). It should be possible in future to do a histogram or bar chart plot of some of the parameters, for a specific period range (say the last 5 minutes of a certain day). So in effect, do an extraction of a segment of the total log file.
    My challenge is if I use text file, like the one in the attached VI, can it give functionality of retrieving data (while the VI is running) from the log file, based on a certain time range (i.e. retrieve a section of the log file based on a certain date/time range, on demand)?
    The format in the text file is close to what I require, since it lists the time n one column and the other parameters on other columns to enable future histogram generation.
    Thanks a lot, friends.

    Hey maxidivine,
    Iv been playing round with your code and found that to perform the search that you require could be quite demanding to system resources when scaled to the size of your application I shall try and find a way to perform the search using .txt files but the there are some other options available. I recommend the use if TDMS files as the file format is a very efficient, manageable method of data-logging. The TDMS file format is designed to write and read measured data at a very high speed, while maintaining a hierarchical system of descriptive information.
    Traditionally, TDMS was a National Instruments only file format – you could only read it using our products – LabVIEW/CVI/DIAdem. However, thanks to the popularity of the format, a bolt-on is now available for Excel, which allows you to directly open the .tdms files with Excel (see link).

    Examples of the use of the TDMS API ship with LabVIEW. You will find them in HELP > find examples > fundamentals > File Input and Output. For you application, I would recommend the “Cont Acq&Graph Voltage - Write Data to File (TDMS).vi”.
    Furthermore, if you require some help with DIAdem, I would recommend clicking "getting started" from the DIAdem splash screen. This opens a manual which discusses everything from data analysis to report generation. Also, if you have DIAdem 11 or above, there are tutorial videos which install with DIAdem. These are useful little tutorials, which discuss all the DIAdem fundamentals. You can access these by selecting a particular palette tab (eg. report, view, analysis...etc) and then clicking the tutorial button (shown as a film strip with a question mark) at the top of the group view.
    Here are some more helpful DIAdem related resources for future reference.

  • Preferences: Code Editor: Printing:  Add File Path and Date to Print Header?

    Is there a way to add file full path and date to the print file header for a SQL Worksheet when printing from the Code Editor?  So, for example, if my SQL worksheet is called MySQL.sql and is saved to C:\Myfiles\SQL_Code\, I'd like to print the full path 'C:\Myfiles\SQL_Code\MySQL.sql' and today's date as part of the print header along with the page numbers at the top of the code.   I see a Java preview in the Preferences: Code Editor: Printing window that mentions a "Today" date but I don't know Java and that is an uneditable preview.  I have checked the "Print File Header" check box.  Is the file header definition stored somewhere in a configuration file and/or is there a way to modify/customize the default file header?
    I am a new user to SQL Nav. version 3.2.20.09 Build-MAIN  09.87. I could do this in SQL Navigator but can't figure it out in SQLDeveloper. Thank you.

    HI
    First of all,
    Unless otherwise you selected some option like page break after/before - both body and header/footer will print on same page in report, so in pdf as well.
    If you have difference on report and PDF that you should look into your setup.
    If you want more help, please be particular on your issue

  • Mozilla takes out path of file - Problem! - need full file path for Upload

    There are pages on my site that process the uploading and storing of files (images) from the client's computer, and while IE leaves the full path of the file (like C:\myphotos\jpeg\example.jpg), Mozilla only passes the name of the file (like example.jpg), which is no good! I need to have the full path of the image file in order for it to work.
    How do I fix this issue?
    Here is a snippet of my servlet code, within the code I commented where the problem occurs...halting my servlet from continuing to process...but only in Mozilla.

    According to your post history you've done webapps for more than 2 years. More than enough time to understand how HTTP works and so on. You even had ever posted a topic related to uploading files. Seriously, I am highly surprised.I am a self taught programmer, and yes, I have been learning code, working on my project, for quite some time, but I am not an 'expert' in ALL areas of development/programming, so excuse me if I 'lack' certain knowledge in certain areas. I'm also running/testing on a local machine, obviously, so, like I said in my last post, I didn't realize that that was the ONLY reason IE worked with my code for uploading.
    Now getting back to the topic of my post, if we could....I just want to get this problem I'm having fixed asap, so I can continue working on my project. If you will kindly continue to help me, I naturally would appreciate it.
    The download page for Apache has been fixed, and I downloaded the commons.io package, the latest. I added the .jar to the appropriate directories, and to my classpath. I must be missing something. I compiled a program and the compilation error says "cannot resolve symbol" on FileFilterUtils. What am I missing or not 'seeing'?

  • Template problem - Can't adjust file path in conditional comments

    Hi everyone,
    I've used the template feature in dreamweaver to create a
    site. The site contains conditional comments to feed a separate
    stylesheet to internet explorer browsers. The css files are stored
    in a css directory that sits in the main site directory. Some of
    the web pages are located in the main site folder and others are
    nested within subdirectories. Since all pages in the site need to
    reference the css file located in the css directory, the file path
    in the conditional comments within the template will have to be
    different depending on where the subpages exist. I tried putting
    the conditional comments within an editable region in the template
    so I could change the file path as needed in the pages themselves
    but because dreamweaver adds template comments like this:
    <!-- InstanceBeginEditable name="head" -->
    <!--[if lt IE 7]>
    <link href="../css/win_ie.css" rel="stylesheet"
    type="text/css" />
    <![endif]-->
    <!-- InstanceEndEditable -->
    ...the browser isn't rendering the code.
    Can someone tell me how I can get around this problem?
    Appreciate any help.

    Make your links root relative. Links within Conditional
    comments will not
    be managed by Dreamweaver ever, since it sees them as HTML
    comments.
