  • Problems with iCloud and iTunes account

Hi, I am having trouble with my iTunes account. I have previously purchased some songs and I have connected my iPod to my laptop but I cannot get the songs from my iCloud onto the PC then onto my iPod. I recently had to connect my iPod to my PC but that meant I had to reset my iTunes library on my iPod and have lost all songs. All the songs are visible in the library on my laptop but i cannot click on them to listen to them or sync them to my iPod. What should I do?

  • Under the iCloud portion of settings on my iPhone, I have always gotten the message "account not verified". The email matches and is in fact the same for my accounts on iCloud and iTunes. Has anyone had this problem, and how have they resolved it?

    Hello megalina23
You need to verify the email address associated with the Apple ID. Check out the article below on how to do this.

  • HT4918 I have to move from MobileMe to iCloud, my iTunes has another ID address, can I change the ID as the same in MobileMe? That would solve the problem?

Can someone please help me with this?? Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the Apple community Wongo.
To begin with, I would like to try to explain Apple's confusing nomenclature in regard to iCloud.
Apple have called the whole cloud thing iCloud, there are a number of features under the iCloud umbrella, some of which require their own login. iTunes is one of these, another is what Apple have unfortunately also called iCloud.
You can use the same Apple ID (account) to login to both iCloud and iTunes, but you don't need to and often users will login to each service using a different ID.
The part that you need to remember is that the services available when you log into iCloud are completely different and unrelated to those when you log in to iTunes. Your iCloud login enables mail, contacts, calendars, find my phone, Back to My Mac, Documents & Data sharing and photosstream, it does not affect any of your iTunes services.
To avoid confusion when discussing your problem, when I mention iCloud, I am referring to the services under the iCloud login, Whereas I will refer to the whole cloud thing as The Cloud.
Basically if you migrate your MobileMe account, it will not affect your iTunes account in any way.

  • Problems accessing music from original PC iTunes library after uploading to iCloud using iTunes Match

I uploaded my entire iTunes library to iCloud using iTnes match and then deleted library from that PC. I can aceess my tunes from iCloud on my iPad and work PC but when i try to listen to iTunes music from th PC that held the original library it looks for the file on the hard drive even though the cloud icon is beside the track in iTunes. Some of the tracks have a ! And no cloud but I can't play any of it. What's going on?
    Thanks
    Chris

I have the same issue.  My hardrive crashed on my PC and I lost my entire itunes library.  I have all my music uploaded in the iCloud using iTunes Match and would like a way to download it all to my PC.  Is there no way to do this?

  • How do I consolidate all this at this point: Icloud Drive, Itunes Match, Local iTunes Library, Local iPhoto, Local Aperture, Photo stream, Familly sharing, sharing on iOS, music sharing on iOS, music sharing on mac etc.

I am trying to grasp all the possibilities for consolidating my stuff and my family's stuff from multiple devices and multiple accounts from multiple sources  but I cant.
I have been reading many instructions and FAQ regarding iCloud Drive, iCloud Sharing, iTunes Match, Familly Sharing, file size limitations on iCloud Drive, app sharing on iOS, Backup vs Sync vs cloud sharing,  storing iWork documents on iCloud drive, storing iTunes library on iCloud Drive, storing iPhoto library on iCloud Drive, storing Aperture library on the iCloud, the Photos app on iOS with iCloud and many others.... but I feel like I need a systems admin course from apple to manage all of it.
This is what I and my family currently have:
Hardware: Multiple iPhones, Multiple Macs, Apple TV (with hard drive), Multiple iPads.
Operating systems: Everything is upgraded to the latest iOS and Yosemite.
    Libraries:
    1)  Multiple iTunes Libraries locally stored on Macs and IPhones with lossless CD music and iTunes purchased music. What I want to do:
    a) Have a main family shared iTunes library across ALL devices that contains our Lossless music and purchased music. so that it can be played across ALL   devices. With the ability to have private music for each individual (Not shared).
    b) Purchase new music and add it to the family share or purchase music and make it private (Not shared).
    2)  Multiple iPhoto Libraries macs (With photo stream from iPhones) and ONE Aperture Library on my mac. What I want to do:
    a) Have a main family shared photo library that every one can deposit to and view.
    b) Store individual iPhoto libraries on iCloud Drive(s)? So that everyone can have their own library and edit it across THEIR devices.
    c) Store and use my Aperture Library on iCloud Drive?
    Other documents:
iWork files, PDFs etc. What I want to do:
    a) Have a main family shared area (on iCloud Drive i suppose) where we can share documents.
    b) Sync private documents across ALL individuals devices (Available locally and on iCloud).
    c) Store private documents (One instance)  on iCloud drive and make them available on ALL individuals devices.
    d) Backup of local documents?
    Apps:
    iOS apps:
    a) Share purchased apps?
    b) Not share private apps.
    Storage:
What do I purchase to accomplish the above:
    a) iCloud storage for everyone?
    b) iTunes Match for everyone?
    c) All of the above?
    Conclusion:
It would be great for Apple to explain all this with all the options in one concise document instead of hunting down individual documents and sections all over the place.
    Thank you for your help.

    Hey there!
You and I are data soulmates. I have been having this trouble for a while and have yet to get my head around it. Our problem is that we've cycled through multiple macs and the "home" or "host" for all the stuff that's now been moved or moving to the Cloud is very scattered. It drives me crazy... almost to the point where I'm thinking about starting a brand-new iCloud account and beginning from scratch.
If you have any experiences or recommendations you could share about your strategy, I would love to hear it.

  • I run Windows 7 and the newest version (10.6) of iTunes will not install. The installer won't even begin, and when I run the Apple Software update, it tells me that iCloud and iTunes have invalid signature.

When I run the Apple Software update, it tells me that iCloud and iTunes have invalid signature and will not be downloaded. When I DL iTunes64setup.exe, the program will not start (there's a bar that flashes but nothing actually begins). I've done everything short of reinstalling Windows to fix this (system resore, unistalling all Apple products, taking down firewall, running Windows FixIt - which either won't find the problem or gives me an error saying that the troubleshooter cannot be downloaded at this time, going into the security features to allow programs without valid signatures, trying to install earlier versions of iTunes). It all started when I downloaded the Decemberists new album on my iPhone, and it wasn't downloading it properly so I connected it to my Dell, but some songs still wouldn't DL - also, the newest OS for my iPhone still won't install via WiFi - and so I uninstalled iTunes first, but nothing is helping. And I don't have any security issues (Norton has checked). Any ideas? I'm at my wit's end after 3 days of this. Thank you.

Ok, so after like 4 days of going through all these different issues, I figured out that several programs weren't downloading, and it was an issue with my wireless connectivity messing up the digital signatures, so if you plug in your comp to the modem and delete your temp files, it should start to work!

  • Problem unsyncing contacts in iTunes with multiple devices

My wife and I each have an iPad and iPhone along and ourkids each have an iPod4 touch. Since we have multiple Apple devices,we sync everything under one Apple ID account using our iMac. We are using OSX Lion on our iMac.
After updating the new iTunes 10.5 and then updating ourdevices to iOS5, our device syncing works great using iCloud and/or our iMac,via WIFI and USB cable.  However, a situationoccurred I did not anticipate and I am looking for a possible fix.
My wife and I share contacts on our iPads and iPhones.  Before the upgrades, we did not sync the kidsiPods to our contacts.  Now using iCloud, the devices sync all the contacts and calendar information.  I tried to change the preferences in iTunesto prevent iPods, iPads and iPhones from syncing automatically.  I found this option, if applied, removedapplications, music, etc. and left the large "other" file that otherdiscussion threads are mentioning as a problem with the new iTunes/IOS5upgrades.
I suspect I have to restore all devices to factory settingsand then restore each device one at a time with syncing only what I want thedevice to contain.  Understanding that thiswill take me a lot of time, I am looking for a possible faster solution or analternative that I fail to see realize.
Please other loyal Apple experts out there, let me in on asecret or two that will help fix this dilemma.
    Thank you for your time.

agree. Or just reconfig so they are on the same subnet. I have multiple routers too but they all slave off one to ensure they are on a single subnet.
Apple did this deliberately to stop/discourage people sharing their music library content across the internet which was briefly possible before they put this limitation into the software.

  • Consistently being prompted to enter Apple ID for iCloud and iTunes

Hi, I have an iPhone 4 and an iPod touch 5th gen. I'm consistently being asked to prompted to enter my password for my Apple ID for either iTunes or iCloud. I never had this issues until I updates to iOS 7.0.2 on my iPhone. I have a different apple id for the iCloud on my iPod and it doesn't prompt me for that one just for the apple id password of the one I use for iTunes and iCloud on my phone. Any insights?

This came up when I tried to enable Notes.  This may be the solution to my problem.  icloud / me won't work when you change from @yahoo to one of those domains.  Specifically it tells you no to use a Apple owned domain so I don't know.

The hotmail address i use for my apple ID was hacked and i no longer have access to it, this is stopping me from accessing any of my icloud or itunes. how can i fix this?

Thanks, I appreciate the help.  I think this is one of the problems Apple is creating by changing the OS so often. I had fomer colleagues at [a major aerospace contractor] who told me that so many original files were ultimately lost because of the deadly change in the "Save As" operation that they are now afraid of every OS update. Apple has badly damaged their support base with that very prominent company (they won't update now until they've fully examined and understand changes in the pre-conditioned nature of OS computer functions), and they are a whole lot less enthaled with Mac-related equipment/software. Can't blame them, I too used orginal files that way (as easy-to-use templates), and lost some important files before I realized what was happening (to late to revert). Companies should not have to retrain employees each time an OS gets an update, it's can be very expensive several different ways. They learned a painful lesson with that one. And because I'm now retired and don't use multiple devices, I need iCloud like I need a hole in the head... but I'm told there's no way to keep Apple out of my computer. Fortunately, because of major problems when initially installing Mountain Lion, one hold-over of the hardware/software damage I experienced was that iCloud can no longer access my computer even though everything else is working fine again. That was the only "good luck" I had as a result of that expensive nightmare.

  • TS4194 APSDaemon.exe blocking iCloud reopen (iTunes 10.6.3.25, iCloud Control Panel 1.1, Win 7 32-bit)

Using iTunes 10.6.3.25 & iCloud 1.1.  I still have this problem.  No more updates are available from Apple Software Update.  Using Windows 7 SP1 32-bit in a workplace environment.  I still have to kill APSDaemon.exe to reopen iCloud.

  • HT201363 I can sign in on a computer to iCloud and iTunes but not on iPhone 5

I tried to update new iOS version but sign in failed 3 times with correct password. I had just installed an app about 4 hours prior. Tested loggin on from comouter to iCloud and iTunes and was successful, so same ID and password should work. Also reset password to fis this same issue about 4 days ago. How do I solve this problem?

    Hi pitbulllady
I would suggest a) resetting the password on desktop https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/ive-lost-my-firefox-sync-account-information#w_iaove-forgotten-my-sync-password-ae-how-do-i-reset-it_2 and then b) trying again on your Android phone or tablet
If the above doesn't help and since we can't read minds :-) we need more troubleshooting details to help you:
    # What version of Android are you using (e.g. Jellybean 4.1-4.3, Kitkat 4.4, Lollipop 5.0, 5.1, etc)?
    # What version of Firefox for Android are you using? (please try the latest version which is currently FF37.0.1)
    # What did you do exactly, what happened and what did you expect? (details please! including the steps in the video you followed)
    Cheers!

According to this description, the problem should be occures when installation trying to compress old OS to Windows.old file, but encounter some problem.
In my opinion, this problem probably caused by security software that prevent this operation. If you installed any security software like ESET, Avast, etc. Try to uninstall them and retry to upgrade your system for test.

Your Mac must be on Lion (10.7) to run iCloud. Apple had to change the operating system to fully support it. Nevertheless, it is possible to get emails from iCloud without having Lion. Please tell me if this interests you.
Anyways, here is the link to buy Lion (30 dollars, totally worth the upgrade ): http://itunes.apple.com/be/app/os-x-lion/id444303913?mt=12
