Au lancement de photoshop elements 11 installé sous windows 8 pro la procédure échoue en affichant l'impossibilité d'initialiser Directx..
Y a t-il une solutiuon ?

I have a problem with color prints from photoshop elements 12. The pictures are too light and with strange colors. I have a Canon pixma mg615I0 printer and use mac os X yosemite. The pictures are taken with a coanon eos 550d in the color space sRGB. I have followed adobes recommendations and have tried both letting the printer respektive photoshop manage the colors. But nothing works. I see that there are different opinions about which is best to do so I tried both. I have the latest printer driver installed. Can anyone help me with this?

Do the following:
Print a test page from the printer. Perhaps the print head needs cleaning via its maintenance facility.
Let the printer manage colors, not PSE
Calibrate the monitor

Cette sauvegarde est constituée de
- plus de 6000 fichiers JPG
- 1 fichier Backup.Tly
- 1 fichier Moncatalogue.psb
La fonctionnalité Restauration de Organizer (de Photoshop Elements V13) restaure correctement la base de photos. Mais lorsque je lance la conversion du catalogue à la fin de cette phase de restauration, après avoir vue la conversion de x fichier JPG, la conversion se bloque sur la conversion du fichier desktop.ini (d'où sort-il???) et se termine par un message d'anomalie qui n'explique rien...
Quelqu'un aurait-il une idée?

That looks like you copied some obsolete versions of those plugins into the CS4 plugins folder.
That or you ran a utility that stripped part of the binary data (PPC or x86) from the plugins.

Well... I appreciate both of your responses. However... I believe that lvlibs cause more frustration then anything else. My team has come across issues with lvlibs and conflicting paths (when using CM tools) and have resorted to using LLBs because they offer a clean set of file dependencies. I understand that lvlibs are probably more robust, but they are not an option right now. Therefore... the question I originally asked still remains. Is there a quick and easy way to add a bunch of VIs to an LLB without having to save each one of them separately to the LLB?

Problem importing from scanner into Photoshop Elements

I use Photoshop Elements 5 on a PC & am suddenly no loger able to import from my scanner (Canon MP990) & get the message: 'Could not complete the import because of a problem with the acquisition interface'.
If I try scanning directly from the scanner, I get the message: 'Scanner is not available while in use by another application or user' . I may have abandoned a previous scan at preview stage without cancelling, but it doesn't show up anywhere. I don't know whether this is a Photoshop problem or a scanner problem. My troubleshooting skills are rudimentary at best - I have tried disconnecting/connecting the scanner & shutting down the PC - any ideas ?

First of all, are you sure that you want to abandon iphoto for the organizer? You don't want to use both--you will have to choose eventually. If you don't have experience with Organizer on a mac, I would strongly suggest exporting a few photos from iphoto, putting them where you want to keep them and using File>Get Photos>From Files and Folders to create a test catalog to use for evaluation while you make up your mind.

How can I save photos to iPhoto direct from Photoshop Elements

Does anyone know how I can save a photo direct to iPhoto after editing in PSE? Currently I save to the desktop and then "import". Its a bit of a fiddly way espectially if you are editing a number of photos direct from iPhoto. It would be nice to save them back to the relevant Event or Album.

This may help:
Using Photoshop (or Photoshop Elements) as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.

2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop. When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window

that indicates that PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file. You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements 9 or later the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:

I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always. In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:

Note: to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu.

I'm having problems installing disc 3 of Photoshop Elements 10

I purchased Photoshop Elements 10 from a Staples store this week. My system meets the minimum requirements. The first 2 discs installed (although with some difficulty for disc 1) but I can't get disc 3 to install. My computer won't recognize it as an install disc. It will either say it's a blank CD (not DVD) and ask what I want to do with it, or it offers options for downloading photos from the disc. This happened with disc 1 also, but after removing and reinserting the disc a few times it finally recognized it and I was able to install. Any suggestions of what the problem is and/or how to fix it? I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium.

ich habe meine alte Photoshop Elements 10 Version auf einem neueren Laptop installiert. Dieser läuft mit Windows 8.
Die Installation erfolgte vor einigen Monaten. Bislang funktionierte jene Teile der Fotobearbeitung und Katalogisierung, die ich brauche, ebenso wie zuvor unter Vista einwandfrei.
Nun wollte ich mal wieder ein Panorama zusammensetzten und da gehen die Probleme los:
Nur wenn ich im Bearbeitungsmodus über Menü "neu" und "Photomerge Panorama" auswähle, erhalte ich sofort eine Fehlermeldung "Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 nicht mehr. Es wird nach einer Lösung gesucht". Nach ca 2 Sekunden wird diese Fehlermeldung ersetzt durch "Das Programm wird aufgrund eines Problems nicht richtig ausgeführt. Das Programm wird geschlossen und Sie werden benachrichtigt, wenn eine Lösung verfügbar ist". Das Fenster muss durch Klick auf "Programm schließen" geschlossen werden. Adobe schließt sich dann auch.
Ich habe das Programm bereits deinstalliert und neuinstalliert. Keine Veränderung.
Alle Updates sowohl bei Adobe als auch dem Laptop (ist ja eh ziemlich neu) wurden gemacht.
Kann der Fehler am Betriebssystem liegen? Ich hatte mich vor der ersten Installation im Netz erkundigt, ob Elements 10 mit Win8 kompatibel ist und fand entsprechende Infos.

Any problems using different versions of photoshop elements (7.0) and premiere elements (8.0)?

I already own Photoshop Elements 7.0 and am now considering buying Premiere Elements 8.0. Does anyone know if I will have any version problems with this, especially with the Organizer? Do I need to upgrade PSE to 8.0 as well?

1- A forum participant tested that slideshow workflow from Photoshop Elements 7 to Premiere Elements 8 and verified that it worked for him.
2 - General Organizer use is probably an entirely different question. I have not attempted that myself and don't know anyone who has. It seems doubtful that a specific catalog file could be shared between Premiere Elements 8 and Photoshop Elements 7.
3 - Since you mention that you are interested in upgrading to Premiere Elements 8, I recommend that you read relevant FAQs from the FAQ forum here, starting with

Hello, I have the following problem with Photoshop Elements 6.0 (2):
I want to pass around 1100 pictures on a USB Stic.
About - Transmission - CD / DVD - destination drive will only select G: Optiarc DVD + RW. With an explicit "selectdrive" the choice is given!
The USB Stic I need with me, but H drive, I would have to enter there.
The 1100 images will take about 6-7 GB disks with DVD / RW I do not get there.
When I say "Removable Disk Copy" will pass over the sort is not as in the original album, but separated text files, and the negative image files in ascending order, this possibility is so hinfälligweg.
Question: How can I get my album without substantive change (permutation) on a USB Stic?

Scanning directly into Photoshop Elements 8 from Officejet 5740

I just installed an Officejet 5740 All-In-One. I did the standard install and am able to print fine. I would like to be able to scan directly into Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 running on Mac OSX 10.10. When I go to the File>Import menu, the new device doesn't show up. Is there something else that I need to install or configure for this to work?

I would like to assist you today with resolving this scanning issue. Now, your product is fully supported when scanning through the HP Scan software and the Mac Scan software on your computer. Therefore, to start troubleshooting I would like you to confirm that the supported software functions with your machine. Can I please have you follow the steps below. To start troubleshooting please click here. Once the support document opens please click the drop down for 'Scanning a Photo or Document'. Next, follow the steps listed to complete the scan under the supported HP Scan or HP Utility Software. If the scanner fails to perform under the HP software then a driver issue may be occuring.
