Cordialement.

Install of NI Developer Suite 2010 hangs at inserting DVD 2
I am trying to install NI Developer suite 2010 DS2 on my home PC, upgrading from 8.6. When it comes to the point where I need to insert the DVD #2, it hangs. Wont let me rescan drive, cancel or close the window. Only way out I've found is a restart of XP. I picked the automatic component selection based on my license. How do I get past this?
Yes, I tried the install three times from the DVD with a restart and inserting the DVD into the drive. I could not exit or close the installer nor the window that was asking to insert DVD #2 in any way other than a restart. I tried all three DVD's and an empty DVD tray in every combination. Typically I would get an explorer window of the DVD root directory at the DVD insertion. The explorer window title would have the correct DVD number.
I am not sure where in the process it stopped, but it did get far enough that I could start LabView, so I activated it.
I didn't think it was significant at the time, but I also could not get past the part of the instalation where it checks for updates before actually installing anything without unchecking the box for it to do this check. I gave it 30 to 45 minutes without success the first time and unchecked the box every other time I started the install. -
NI Developer Suite 2010 is not LabVIEW 2010
Received new disks that read "NI Developer Suite 2010", which is misleading because this is not LabVIEW 2010, it is LabVIEW 2009 SP1. So now we have mismatched Developer Suite / LabVIEW.

Installation of developer suit 10g on windows 7 64-bit
Dear all,
I have successfully installed oracle 10g and developer suit 10g in my lappy which runs on windows 7 64-bit, I am able to launch form builder, create a new form and compile it. But when I runs the form the the internet explorer 8 crashes.
Please helpI am guessing that you are fairly new to the Oracle Forms product as you are not understanding the difference between the environment where a "form" is developed and the area where it can/will be run in a supported manner. Let me try to start from the beginning....
1. The Forms Builder 10.1.2 is NOT_ supported to be installed on Windows 7. I can technically be accomplished but is considered NOT supported by Oracle. So unless you have a good working knowledge of the Developer Suite product and the Win7 operating system and don't care about getting technical support from Oracle, I do not recommend attemting to install on Win7. If you choose to install on Win7, you are on your own even if you have a Support agreement. Supported platforms include Windows 2000, Win-XP, Vista (see note 559067.1), Solaris, Linux
If you feel like you need to have the Builder installed in an UNSUPPORTED environment, you can probably follow the instructions provided for installing on Vista as they will likely work for Win7. If you have access to My Oracle Support, take a look at this document: How to Install Developer Suite 10.1.2.3 on Windows Vista (Doc ID 559067.1)
Supported Operating Systems and other installation information can be found in the Installation Guide:
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B25016_08/doc/dl/core/B16012_04/chap2.htm#i1007814
The only exception to the above is that we now support installing on Vista when following the note mentioned above.
2. You can "run" your form after it has been designed and compiled, on a Windows 7 machine. The form will run in a browser, using a JRE/JPI. -
Installation of Developer Suite 10g on XP Home Edition
Dear all,
I downloaded Develope Suite 10g (9.0.4.0.1) from OTN and tried to install on a notebook with XP Home Edition.
The installation failed with the error message that the 'C:\Document \<Userid>\Local Settings\Temp folder is either not writable or no sufficient disk space of 55MB.'
I can manually copy files and folders more than 55MB into the Temp folder. So the problem does not seem to be disk space or writablity.
I am wondering if software can be installaed on XP Home Edition. Would appreciate any advices.
Thank you.Hello,
I you have access to Metalink (http://metalink.oracle.com) :
Certify - Product Version and Other Selections: Oracle Developer Suite On Microsoft Windows XP (x86)
Windows XP has 2 editions/versions, Professional and Home. Oracle will ONLY certify on Professional.

I am now installing full developer suite 101202 on Windows machine - DB and SOA suite is up and running already. Well - now I am at screen 'Thank you for choosing Oracle' with Setting up 'Oracle Developer SUite 10g OC4J Instance 10.1.2.0.2'. So - for more than 30 minutes the wizard show the same 94 on progress bar, if I look on installation logs - then they are modified some 25 minutes ago and there is 2 error logs:

So - what should I do? Installer cann't find file - but it should be there - because the copy-files section of installation wizard was successful... So - if I restart the installation - I cann't see what can be different??? It seems to me that I cann't do nothing now? Is there any solution for this?
Well - I have remained some 6% of setting up and full configuration wizard... How can I complete this??I have found thread:
http://forums.oracle.com/forums/message.jspa?messageID=2118383#2118383
which is exactly for me - so - can one make some preconfiguration steps? It seems strange, that one should check file by file the installation already prepared and tested by Oracle? I am not sure is this the right practice in production environment... well - and I am not sure if it works at all - it can take much time without result... -

Installation of Developer Suite 10g in Linux
Hi,
I've done the configuration of Developer Suite 10g on Windows OS. But i want to know how can i configure the Developer Suite 10g in Linux platform.
Any link for this would help me a lot.
I have done some configuration, but i'm facing some problems with it. Like i've compiled the form in windows version, but when i try to compile the form in
linux, i'm facing the problems. In the form there are some libraries attached to it. When compiled in Windows, it got compiled successfully, but when i compile it
in Linux, it is unable to find the procedures and function in the libraries. To come out of this situation, i've placed all the libraries and the forms in a single folder. still
the problem exists. It is giving an error saying that the Invalid identifier, whereever i've mentioned the procedures/functions of libraries. Even in windows, i've all
the forms and libraries in the same folder.
Regards,
Alok DubeyFirst of all which Linux....????I am successful in installing it. It is Redhat Linux 5.0 Enterprise edition. But i'm facing the problem in configuring it.
I checked out from Oracle web site, this linux version supports the Developer Suite 10g. If u can send me any document
or any link which u felt that it is very useful, then Please let me know.
Have you checked if it is registered with DevSuite10g...???How to check this ..
"I have done some configuration.."
Which....????
I've set the forms path so that i can run the forms using the url in the browser. But i feel that my configuration is incomplete. As i've mentioned already that when my form is
compiled in the windows, it is getting compiled. But when i compile in linux, it is showing the error like Invalid Identifier. Here the Identifier name it is dispalying is the name of function(Which
is in the attached library).

Problem with the installation of Developer Suite
Hi,
I bought six months ago the Oracle product to put it in my PC. Today I tried to load the Oracle9i Developer Suite (I would like to see the Procedure Builder to know it for the 1Z0-147 exam....) but I received a message because my version of Developer Suite (9.0.2.0.1) is to old than my version of Oracle (9.2.0.1.0).
Do you know where I can dowload the good version (And wich one is good) or need I to contact Oracle to receive a new CD (I tried to send mail tree times, but no response....)?
Thank you for your response.
EricThe 9.0 version of Developer Suite should have no difficulty connecting to a 9.2 Oracle database. If they're both on the same machine, you do need to make sure to install them in different Oracle Homes, but that's the only limitation I can think of. Can you post the exact error message you received?
In the downloads section, you can either download the 10g preview or the latest 9.2 production version of Developer Suite.

I have a new Laptop, fresh install.

I get the initial LabVIEW 2010 Splashscreen, showing make company and license then I get the following error:
LabVIEW 10.0 Development System
LabVIEW 10.0 Development System has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.Hi N4KSS,
Can you try to repair the LabVIEW installation and see if this helps to resolve the issue? Here is a KB titled "How can I Repair my LabVIEW Installation?" that describes the process.
Also, is the installation being performed from a LabVIEW 2010 CD or from a downloaded installation?

Handling Mulitple apllications with Developer Suite 10g
Hi all,
I've a doubt regarding the Post installation of Developer Suite 10g. For example, if i've a client who has two applications; and these two applications are similar to some extent.
So, In this scenario, i am clue less regarding the set up. i.e.., Both applications can be run simultaneously, by different users. Can some one guide me. Currently, in Forms 6i, we've mapped
a drive for it and the client changes the mapping whenever, he wants to use another application. But in Forms 10g, I've heard that this can be done using configuratiion files. can u explain me
a little bit.

With Web version, you can add named sections in the /forms/server/formsweb.cfg file, then call one of this section in the calling URL.

Application Server or Developer Suite
Hi experts,
What is the difference between Application Server and Developer Suite listed here in http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/forms/downloads/index.html ?
And while learning, if I want to install on my laptop(Windows 7 32-bit), which one is prefered(works) when I have 10g databse installed.
Or do we need to install both Application Server and Developer Suite. The main difference is in components that comes with installation.
Developer Suite comes with:
Oracle JDeveloper
Oracle Reports
Oracle Forms
Oracle Discoverer
Oracle Designer
Oracle Business Intelligence Beans
Developer Suite Software Configuration Manager
Once you need to Deploy your application to users - you will need Application Server
which includes much more:
Adapters
B2B
Business Rules
Containers for J2EE
Content Management SDK
Developer Tools
Discoverer
Forms
High Availability
HTTP Server
Identity Management
Manageability
Portal
Reports

Can anybody help me? I am very confused about this error message.
Thanks very much.
Petr. Are you logged in as an administrator?
I wouldn't install in Program Files anyway. I'm not sure, but I have a gut feeling that Oracle doesn't like spaces in file and directory names. Install in C:\Oracle directory. -
Don't see the SCM Installation Guide on 9i Developer Suite CD
Hi everybody,
I don't see the SCM Installation Guide on my 9i Developer Suite CD. The CD is Release 2 (9.0.2.0.0) for Windows. I do see a file for the release notes titled 'Oracle Software Configuration Manager Release Notes Oracle9i Developer Suite Release 2 (9.0.2). Any leads on where to find the installation guide is appreciated.
I'd like to read the guide before installing Oracle Designer 9i. Any help with installing these two products is appreciated.
Thanks very much,

DBAI don't know what it could be, but I have another question: why are you installing DevSuite on a server? DevSuite is for the developers and should be installed on a client, not a server. Maybe that is the problem.
