Problème de batterie - ASUS A93 - Windows 8

Tout d'abord, je tiens à remercier toutes les personnes qui prennent le temps d'aider les autres sur diverses questions, permettant d'avoir une vraie communauté active.
Je me permets de vous contacter car depuis moins d'un mois, j'ai un problème avec un ordinateur ASUS A93 que j'ai acquis récemment (le 09 janvier 2013).
Cet ordinateur était livré avec une version de windows 7 mais j'ai décidé de le mettre
à jour et d'installer windows 8 professionnel 64 bits. L'installation s'est déroulé sans
aucun problème.
Cependant, suite à cette installation, je constate un problème avec la batterie. En effet,
celle-ci ne dure pas plus de 6H, avec une utilisation très simple et en mettant le mode
de gestion le plus bas, à savoir power4gear battery saving. (Je tiens à préciser que j'ai paramétré ce dernier mode pour qu'il soit le plus économe possible, en mettant par exemple une utilisation du processeur à un maximum de 40%). Je précise que ma conjointe dispose du même ordinateur (sous windows 7) et arrive facilement à avoir 9h de batterie, ce qui est proche des 10h annoncées.
Concernant les utilitaires installés, j'ai pris la majorité des utilitaires et drivers adaptés pour
Windows 8, disponibles sur le site officiel, à l'adresse suivante :
J'ai également mis à jour le BIOS et je suis passé sous la version 203.

J'avoue être un peu deçu que la durée de la batterie soit aussi peu élevée...Je pense que cela vient de Windows 8.
C'est pourquoi je vous sollicite pour savoir si vous aviez éventuellement rencontré le même problème ou si vous aviez d'éventuelle solutions, tout en évitant de repasser sous windows 7 dans un premier temps...

Photoshop CS5 crashing constantly ASUS laptop Windows 8

I installed CS5 on new ASUS laptop a few months ago, running Windows 8. It ran fine for a while and then started crashing Photoshop.
Unexpectedly quit. Sometimes InDesign.
The crashing has gotten increasingly worse to the point where I cannot use Photoshop for more than a few minutes,
have to keep saving, saving, saving.
Am uninstalling now but am wondering if there was something else I should have done?
Perhaps Windows 8 only wants CS6? or CC? Up until now I have always been a mac person, so I'm out of my depth here.

The first box implies your McAfee security software is faulting. If you can, try disabling it and see if the problem is resolved.
Over time I've read a lot about McAfee software that makes me think it should be removed and thrown away. There are better anti-malware solutions available.

J'ai fait un Dual boot avec la RC de Windows 7 et j'y ai installé Audition 3.0.1. Comme toujours, IL LAG comme le *bip* (c'est pour ça que je préfère le 1.5). Mais, j'ai un problème qui n'arrive pas sur Windows Vista/XP.
Que ce soit en mode édition ou multi-piste, quand je clique sur une waveform, le curseur de sélection est quelques pixels à gauche de l'endroit où j'ai vraiment cliqué. C'est vraiment tannant!
Est-ce que quelqu'un aurait une solution au problème?
En passant, Adobe, pourriez-vous, S'IL VOUS PLAÎT faire Audition BEAUCOUP plus léger et ABORDABLE? Merci.

ade is not the greeastest piece of work ever, but I got used to it on my laptop, storing ebboks I bought there happy with windows xp!
new asus transformer comes along and I want to use this as my e reader, but altho I seem to have downloaded ade on to it, how on earth do I find my ebooks ? the library on laptop shows them all there, all bought post adobe sign up, and all the pdf dox i use off the pc/laptop. but nothing on the new tablet.
I sort of thought that i would be able to transfer content across, but how to do this is the question.
my old sony ereader causes the tablet to throw a fit....

Jpeg attachment probles when sending from Mail to windows mail applications

hi guys. I hope someone can help me as I have been going round in circles for months with this problem.
The task is to send a jpeg attachment - simple isn't it!
No problems attaching it, whether is embeded or viewed as an icon, that's ok. i have selected the option "always send windows friendly attachments" too.
The problem is on the other end. Pretty much every time I get an email back saying that the images are embeded on the email and cannot be saved (right click, save as...) nor they appear listed as attachments. Not only that, but most times they also appear deformed with weird dimensions and loss of quality.
Can someone help me out here, as you can all imagine sending images is pretty common these days, and whether we like it or not, most people use PCs still

I'm afraid that you don't really have the same problem. You may have the same symptoms but you are not using the same email program, the same server (unless you are also using Gmail), and you are encoding your emails in a Mac specific format.

Thanks for your response. Yes I did stopped the database. I was having the same problem with the database ( as it was sitting there after I issued the shutdown immediate ). Finally I had to do shutdown abort, start up in restrict mode and do a shutdown again to stop the database gracefully

While trying to install CS6 Production Premium with install disks on my new laptop, many installation attempts have failed due to the DVD player falling asleep while reading Disk 2. The Installer software and Disk 1 seem to be operating fine, but after switching the disks when prompted, the installation simply stalls.
I have used these disks before and successfully installed on a previous desktop machine. I have an Adobe ID and issues serial number for this license.
