But that shouldn't prevent C.Madrolle from getting to the order window.  I'm unable to view his screenshots so am assuming the button doesn't work at all which would  not be related to the server.  But I might be wrong (am all to often ).
Probably I am wrong!
Screenshots are not working today either, have a look at the Community Operations.
I can see C.Madrolle's second screenshot. Can you see my screenshot of the second screenshot?

I used migration to send photos form my Mac Book to my I Mac now i get an error message "iPhoto can not be opened because of a problem"  Check with the developer to make sure iPhoto works with this version of Max OSX.  You may need to install any available updates or reinstall IPhoto.
I tried installing Iphoto it said it was downloaded successfully. I still get the error messafe, and can not open any photos of program,  any suggestions?

What version of iPhoto do you have on the Macbook and on the iMac? What systems are you running on the Macbook and on the iMac?
Does the message only refer to "a problem" or does it specify what it is?

I have tried VERY unsuccessfully to install the new iphoto 9.2.3 update.
I have installed it several times both from the appstore and from Apple Support downloads...it says it has 'successfully updated' - then on opening iphoto, a dialogue box pops up and says:
iPhoto cannot be opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer to make sure iPhoto works with this version of Mac OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and Mac OS X.

Insane...I have all my updates including Lion 10.7.3 why does APPLE KEEP SENDING BETAS AS A REAL PRODUCT?
Does anyone know how to copy over a backup from a twinned drive Backup? What files etc.
    Thanks tons...

    Thanks Terence,
I did get it working finally...and your last advice was what I needed.
I am embarassed that I was an early adopter...SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER and read the problems before creating some for myself.
This was an excercise in frustration, because of the obtuse division between the appstore and Apple Support downloads... it was a bit of a circuitous route...strange that with all the security reciepts and tracking that Apple goes to to prevent piracy... which Steve by his own admission used to build Apple...
Why aren't the server scripts smart enough to say…”HEY DUMMY you can't use this download because you purchased the last iPhoto upgrade from the appstore...and… DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME and precious data BUDGET downloading this gargantuan file which will eat 20% of your expensive 5Gb monthly data allotment!!!…and NOT WORK…only pretend to…and then foul your system….kill your productivity and turn your hair whiter…even worse than LION did.
I am just so antagonized by the inept scripts in recent installations that don't do a diagnostic before allowing installation that is going to corrupt things...I had less effort and frustration when I ran my ATARI with a MAC emulator...rarely lost any productivity to nonsense.
I AM TIRED OF BETAs dressed as products...designed and rushed out for Apple toys that once were tools of the creative trade...COREL...may still have a chance at a comeback if Apple keeps pumping out toys instead of the venerable tools we once adored as income enhancers.

  • Burn command in iPhoto not working

The Burn command in iPhoto 5.0.4 Share menu stopped working with 2 Pioneer burners installed in my G4 MDD. The only change I made some time before this problem started was OS X 10.4.10 update. Everything worked fine in 10.4.9.
Now whenever I click on Burn in iPhoto, it seems to start burning, but changes almost immediately to "finishing burn" and the following message is displayed depending on the drive selected:
"The burn to the PIONEER DVD–RW DVR-104(or PIONEER DVD–RW DVR–111) drive failed. The device failed to respond properly, unable to recover or retry."
The disc remains unused and can be successfully burned in another application.
Both burners work OK in Disk Utility and in Roxio Toast.
I am rather concerned with this problem and will appreciate any help. Thanks. Josef

I have resolved my problem, and thought I'd share the solution.
    1. tested burning to a DVD directly from finder. Worked fine. so I knew the media was fine, and the hardware was fine, and the driver was fine.
    2. Therefore, problem is iPhoto. But what?
    3. From iPhoto, export your photos (same set you wanted to burn) to a folder somewhere. In my case, this action FAILED. Some of the files could NOT be created. By looking at the files exported before the failure, I could determine which photo was "bad". Tried opening that photo for editing in iPhoto, and it was not there! There was a thumbnail, and file info, but no actual photo.
    4. I searched the iphoto directory structure and found that the original photo file was there. So, from iphoto I selected the bad photo and did "revert to original". That worked, and now I could see the photo in iphoto edit mode.
    5. Try exporting to a folder again. Again...find another bad photo...repeat above process....until you can successfully export all the photos you want to burn.
    6. Now, try burning to DVD from iPhoto again. For me...this step worked. Yay.
I have no idea how I got so many corrupted photos in my library. But, I suspect is was a result of a couple years of collecting photos and moving iphoto libraries around, etc. I spent a whole day fixing up all the corrupted photos in a 7,000 photo library. Ouch. But now, burning works fine.
The real problem here is that iPhoto doesn't give a useful error message when it can't burn the image.
I hope this procedure helps someone.

  • Problème exportation pdf sur Indesign

    Bonjour,

    Merci.

    Salut,

  • Iphoto can't be opened now after downloading updates.  Message says, "Check with developer to make sure Iphoto works with this version of Mac OS x. Wouldn't update Iphoto when my husband was doing updates..

Can someone help me figure out how to get my iphoto open again.  It says...Error message: "Iphoto can't be open because of a problem. " Message says, "Check with developer to make sure Iphoto works with this version of Mac OS x. Wouldn't update Iphoto when my husband was doing updates..

    To re-install iPhoto
    1. Put the iPhoto.app in the trash (Drag it from your Applications Folder to the trash)
2a: On 10.5:  Go to HD/Library/Receipts and remove any pkg file there with iPhoto in the name.
2b: On 10.6: Those receipts may be found as follows:  In the Finder use the Go menu and select Go To Folder. In the resulting window type
    /var/db/receipts/
    2c: on 10.7 they're at
    /private/var/db/receipts
A Finder Window will open at that location and you can remove the iPhoto pkg files.
    3. Re-install.
If you purchased an iLife Disk, then iPhoto is on it.
If iPhoto was installed on your Mac when you go it then it’s on the System Restore disks that came with your Mac. Insert the first one and opt to ‘Install Bundled Applications Only.
If you purchased it on the App Store or have a Recent Mac you can find it in your Purchases List.

  • Not sure iPhoto backed up my entire library

I just backed up my iPhoto library, but I'm not sure iPhoto included all of my content.
When I do File > Get Info on my iPhoto library, it says it's over 10GB in size. I tried to create a Burn Folder in Finder and burn the library onto multiple DVD's, but Finder says I need a disc that holds more than 10GB and doesn't seem to want to archive it very easily.
I figured there's got to be an easy way to do this, so I searched on "iPhoto library backup to DVD" in this forum and someone nicely said that to back up in iPhoto 7.1.3 (which is what I'm using), simply go Share > Burn.
I did the Share > Burn thing and iPhoto created a DVD for me, theoretically of my entire iPhoto library. It all fit on one dual layer DVD+R disc and the resulting iPhoto library file size is about 7.8GB.
So I'm wondering, where did the other 2GB go? Or does iPhoto use this space for thumbnails or something like that? At first I thought to myself, "okay, maybe it copied all my photos, but left out all my iPhoto videos"... but no, all those appear to be there...
Can someone put my mind at ease here? Did iPhoto backup my whole library? It didn't ask me to insert a second disc. Also, if it happens that iPhoto DID backup my whole library, and for example, the remaining 2GB of apparently "missing" photos are thumbnail-space etcetera, when I eventually do have more than 8.5GB of library to backup, will the Share > Burn feature spread them out over two or more dual layer DVD's?
    Thanks for any insights here.
    Travis

It may be the database files that are of a different size. Compare the thumbXXsegment.data files and the Library6.iPhoto database files for size differences. I've not tried a whole library via that method so don't have first hand experience on what the size differences might be caused by.
However, if the photo count in the two are the same then you must be OK.
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto (iPhoto.Library for iPhoto 5 and earlier) database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've created an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger or later), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 6 and 7 libraries and Tiger and Leopard. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.≤br>
Note: There now an Automator backup application for iPhoto 5 that will work with Tiger or Leopard.

  • When I click on iPhoto icon I get a box that reads "The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto."  Whether I hit Quit or Upgrade the problem is not fixed.  Any suggestions?  Yes, I have tried Command Option iPhoto..no luck.

When I click on iPhoto icon I get a box that reads "The photo library needs to be upgraded to work with this version of iPhoto."  Whether I hit Quit or Upgrade the problem is not fixed.  Any suggestions?  Yes, I have tried Command Option iPhoto..no luck.  I think I may have hit Upgrade the first time.  I really need this to be fixed ASAP.  Thanks for your help.

    Assuming iPhoto 09 or later:
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
    Regards
    TD

: Google Translator French: Rough translation of the French into English:
User is trying to print information onto paper to make a CD Sleeve, I believe. Here is what they wrote:
    Downloaded itunes 11
    Opened itunes on PC
    Create music CD
    Used "Print" in "file".
Never had problem before but now list is unreadable and "crushed together".
I went to "Layout" to change Format, but it works in Formats.
How do I find the function I used before I upgraded?
When I print, I use paper size a4 210 x 297 which corresponds to the size of a CD sleeve?
Thank you in advance for you answers!
    ? Pourrait fonctionner?
    Essayez:
    Imprimer.
    Might work?
    Try:
    Screen Capture layout in Format.
    Save to Desktop.
    Print image.
    Or,
Recreate CD Sleeve using Paint Program or InDesign.
    Print out.

    reinstall from the original source

2 - the iLife DVD that you purchased
