    Illustrator CC uses the Pantone Plus series, there is no CMYK definition for the spot colours in these series.
    The CMYK conversion is now based on the CMYK profile in your Color Settings.
    This is a good thing, since most of the Pantone colours cannot be accurately reproduced in CMYK, colour management provides a way to simulate the spot colours as close as possible for your combination of ink, paper and press.
    The CMYK values that were previously given by Pantone were just one way of simulating the spot colours and would give different results when another ink, paper, press combination was used.
    Sometimes the CMYK values from Pantone were completely off and you give a perfect example with the Pantone 1797 U colour.
    Printing that ink on uncoated stock would never give you such a bright saturated red as the Pantone provided CMYK values would suggest
    If you want to have a better preview of the colour, use the Overprint Preview option, that comes closer to the final printed result. The Overprint preview in CC and CS versions give s you an almost identical preview (almost because the Lab values differ slightly).
    There are ways to use the old libraries, but why should you if Pantone itself stopped giving CMYK numbers?

    When I try to synchronize photoshop CC on my desktop PC I get the error "cannot connect to creative cloud". Photoshop and creative cloud are both "logged on".
    How do I get photoshop to synchronize again ??
    On my laptop I don't have this problem.

    Welcome to Adobe Forums.
    This error could also be because you have a bad network configuration. Or, you could have a proxy setting that conflicts with the Creative Cloud Connection.
    Try turning on and off the "Turn Sync off" option.
    Rename OOBE as OOBE.old
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE
    C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Download Creative Cloud desktop app and sign in https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud

  • I cant connect to creative cloud and download my apps

    Yesterday I bought the teachers edition CC,
    I logged in and connected to Behance.
    Then i wanted to download some apps and it let me download CCdesktop first.
    I run it and logged in and synced to Behance. But when i wanted to click the apps tab for downloading apps a  "No Internet Connection" turned up in CCdesktop.
    Then I started out searching for some solutions, because my internet was just fine.
    1. I used the Adobe support advisor and it found 5 issues, all the same:
    cpsid_8289s1: A restart is pending, "bootstrapper error has occured"
    I checked the taskmanager to see any pending setups, couldnt find any.
    I checked the registry for InProgress key, but i have no. It is just not there in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager
    2. I restarted pc and tried again, same error: no internet connection connecting to the CC
    3. I used the adobe cleaner to uninstall ALL of my adobe previous versions, I actually cleaned ALL. The log file shows some parts and files that couldnt be deleted. But all of the Creative Suite 5 programs are gone.
    4. I asked the online chat help also. After 1 hour of waiting this help session wasnt going anywhere. I got advised to use Firefox browser, although i tried it on chrome, ie and opera already. I got advised to delete all cookies in the temp folders, no luck either. Then the friendly advisor wanted my host file, but i was so tiered after 4 hours of trying i just gave up there.
    Now i am still trying to get creative cloud desktop to login to adobe servers so i can actually download some of the apps i desperately need now.
    Is there anybody out there who knows what my problem is or what else i can try to connect to the Creative Cloud?
    - I am running on windows 8 pro

    I think i found the answer was in the hosts file

    I deleted the buttom adobe.activate links and now i finally have access to the Apps.
    Wish i went 1 minute further with the help session last night  
    I  hope this helps anyone else with the same connecton problems.
    This problem is fixed now, i am installing Apps.

  • Unable to connect to Creative Cloud .... what is going on?

    Is anyone else having issues logging in to Creative Cloud?  I cannot access via AAM or https://creative.adobe.com/.  AAM just gives me an error that it cannot contact Adobe, and the web portal just clocks.

  • Impossible de faire la mise à jour de Digital Publishing suite avec Creative Cloud ?

    Les outils Folio Overlay et Folio Builder demandent une mise à jour pour être utilisés et le menu Mise à jour de l'aide inDesign est désactivé (grisé).
    Dans la palette de Creative Cloud, toutes les applications sont affichées comme "à jour", alors qu'elles ne le sont pas.
    Comment forcer à faire des mises à jour ? Il s'agit d'un abonnement Creative Cloud Équipe.

    J'ai trouvé la source du problème. La création du pack équipe a été faite sans décocher "interdire les mises à jour" (ou quelque chose comme ça). Nous avons recréé le package Creative cloud en décochant cette option, puis désinstallé et réinstallé la creative Cloud, et les mises à jour sont cette fois disponibles.
    Fastidieux mais cela fonctionne !

  • Problème installation Application Bureau Creative Cloud

    Je viens de m'abonner au Creative Cloud Etudiant (Mac) et je dois donc télécharger l'application pour bureau afin de télécharge les logiciels (Ps, Id, Lr ...). Le problème est là : la barre de téléchargement ne va pas jusqu'au bout et l'application ne se télécharge pas ! Je suis donc bloqué et je n'ai pas accès aux fonctionnalités.

    A chaque fois que je clique sur l'icône Creative Cloud (sur le bandeau du haut), j'assiste à chaque fois à l'ouverture intempestive d'une fenêtre tout en bas de l'écran. Est-ce que ce problème est connu?

    C'est bien ce que je pensais, a savoir un probleme dans le compte Mac.
    Je vous invite à prendre connaissance du lieu ci-dessous pour la résolution du problème dans le compte initial, sans pour autant vous promettre que cela peut le réparer.
    Il faut savoir que le problème qui es presente est indépendant de la volonté d'Adobe mais se manifeste et se voit à travers le produit Adobe.
    La seule et dernière solution serait d'utiliser le nouveau compte Mac afin d'éviter tout problème.

  • Mac probleme avec Creative Cloud et Photoshop.

    Créative Cloud a bien telecharger Photoshop la première fois, mais celui ne marchait pas (impossible d initialiser photoshop en raison d'une erreur de programme) j'ai desinstallé photoshop pour le reinstaller, mais celui-ci est touours présent dans les App de créative Cloud donc impossible de reinstaller une nouvelle fois, même si dans mes applications il n'est plus là.
