Probleme de Flash et internet explorer

Bonjour,

  • Problem serving video to Internet explorer

    Hello and thanks in advance to all.
    I am completely new to Flash Video and FMS, and have encountered a problem when using IE. Following Tom Green's 'Beginners guide to streaming video with Flash Media Server 3.5'  I set up a video to be served from the following URL:
    http://ilcec2009.lci.kent.edu/public_lecture.htm
    The video is streaming fine (albeit slowly) on all browsers, (chrome, firefox, opera, safari) except, internet explorer.  I have enabled Javascript, Active X controls, and just about every other security precaution I can select, un-installed and reinstalled Adobe Flash, on my local server and  on four different machines, but I cannot get the video to function properly when using IE
    Additionally, the Flash Media Server Administration Panel or Start Page are not fully functional IE, but it works well with all other browsers.
    Can someone suggest why the video is not streaming using IE, regardless of the security settings?  I can understand something not running on my local machine if the security settings are too high, but I don't  understand why the video is not working when IE on other computers.  YouTube works fine using other machines, but when I attempt to view the above URL, the video is not streaming.
    Thanks again in advance for any help, and I will be happy to supply any other information

    It sounds like you are experiencing problems with the Apple supplied Boot Camp drivers. This is a well known problem and one for which there is no resolution other than to plug a USB mouse into your laptop and use that instead of the TrackPad.
    A lot of us have been on the forums complaining about this issue for 9 months and we still have nothing to show for it from Apple.

    We've uninstalled and reinstalled Flash (latest version). Any ideas?

    Since you mention Internet Explorer, I assume that you are on Windows.
    Try downloading this installer http://fpdownload.adobe.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player_ax.exe, save it to disk, then close all IE windows and run the downloaded installer.

  • Flash and internet explorer warnings

    Hello!
    I am new to flash so I am really sorry if my question is too stupid for this forum.
    I want to include some flash banners or movies on my website but everytime that I load my website with internet explorer i get the yellow bar on the top of the page saying that the active x needs permission to load the page but this does not happen with Firefox.
    Does anyone know how to overcome this problem or where can I get a tutorial to learn how to do this?
    I have seen that some sites have flash movies, javascript and banners included but dont get any warnings.
    I would appreciate any help!
    Thanks

    Hello and thanks for your reply mldb88!
    It is a problem with internet explorer and I know what I should do when that happens but I am concerned about other people that will visit my website. As you might know there are a lot of people using internet explorer and some of them might get scared with this kind of warnings and I would really like to avoid that.
    But like I said on my previous post, I have seen that most websites that have flash and javascript included in the page, I dont get these warnings on internet explorer when i load them and I would like to know if there is some code or something else that I should include on the webpage to avoid this warning which seems to happen only with internet explorer.
    Thanks!

  • Flash and internet explorer 7

    suddenly and for no apparent reason, when i publish my movie
    and insert the .swf into a html page using the "insert, media"
    command in dreamweaver, when i then upload and try to view the page
    in internet explorer 7 i get an empty space where the flash movie
    should be. if i hover my curser over the space i get an outline of
    the flash rectangle, and a message comes up" click to enter and
    activate the control" whats going on? I don't think its anything
    i've done in flash - not done anything differently form usual - so
    is it some interaction with explorer but why? not had the problem
    ever before... please can someone help and fast!
    thank you

  • Adding Flash in Internet Explorer

    I'm having a problem adding flash components to a web page.
    Whenever I publish the movie, I can go into the generated HTML page
    with no problems. When I copy/paste the code into the HTML of my
    page, Internet Explorer pops up the "IE Has Restricted this file
    from showing active content that could access your computer." I've
    played around with the code forever but nothing I do has any
    affect. The weird thing is that when I copyed my HTML into the
    generated page, it worked.
    How do I fix this?

    Its a known issue with IE 6.0 where it prevents active
    content from running
    off a local file.. You will get the same error even with
    rollovers.. This
    error does not show up once the page is hosted onto a web
    server and is
    called through the internet or an intranet ..
    However you can fix it on your local computer...

  • Flash in internet explorer

    Hi everyone. I just wanted to see if anyone has encountered
    the same problem I'm having. Basically, I installed an update on my
    computer like Microsoft wanted with their automatic updates. But
    when I did that, now everytime I open internet explorer and go to a
    site with Flash content, it puts a box around the content and says
    that I need to click on it first to activate the control. It never
    used to do that before and quite frankly it's really annoying and
    senseless. Has anyone experienced this same problem and does anyone
    have a solution to this? Why did Microsoft do that anyways? and Is
    Microsoft aware of this situation and are they planning on coming
    out with a patch for it? Thanks everyone.

    > Hi everyone. I just wanted to see if anyone has

    Yes . .everybody who has latest IE 6 or new IE 7

    That is correct. it also does it for any other ActvieX
    control
    > It never used to do that before
    No it didn't.
    > and quite frankly it's really annoying and senseless.
    Yes .. you can thank EOLAS and the stupid US patent system
    for that
    > Has anyone experienced this same problem
    Yes . .everybody who has latest IE 6 or new IE 7
    > and does anyone have a solution to this?
    There is a temporary patch from MS that will turn of the new
    'feature' for a
    short while, but that will not 'fix' the problem permantntly.
    This is how
    Internet Explorer will be from now on
    > Why did Microsoft do that anyways?
    So they did not infringe on a patent from a tiny company
    called EOLAS who
    never had a product but patented a general idea and then
    years later decided
    to sue Microsoft for having hte same idea in IE and wanted to
    charge them an
    exhorbitatnt license fee that would have killed IE as a fre
    ebrowser etc
    > and Is Microsoft aware of this situation
    Of course they are. This is the best they can do to keep from
    infringing
    the patent
    > and are they planning on coming out with a patch for it?
    It IS the patch and it is how IE will be from now on.
    Web developers will have to use different techniques in their
    web pages from
    now on to avoid the click-to-activate message. See
    http://activecontent.blogspot.com

    Next time, please browser or search the forum .. there have
    been hundreds
    (if not thousands) of posts on this very subject in the last
    few weeks. And
    you'll find Google a very useful tool .. many thousands of
    sites talking
    about this issue.

  • Problem with ACE and Internet Explorer 8

    I have a problem with ACE (system A2(1.1)) and Internet Explorer 8.
    exactly:
    ACE is configured as end-to-end ssl with 2 rserver and with the sticky source address. When user is opening the virtual address from IEv7, the web portal (On Microsoft IIS) works fine.
    If user opens the same web portal but using IEv8, the session is suspended after 60 seconds.
    I think, that the reason is http keep-allive, which is sending every 60 seconds from the user's internet browser.
    Here is some information about this. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTTP_persistent_connection
    Do you have any idea how to resolve this problem: upgrade ACE, change the configuration on IIS or ACE ??
    Please help.

    Hi Kazik,
    Using a persistent connection or HTTP keepalives should not have any negative effect on the ACE, so, giving you a straight-forward answer to fix it is not going to be easy.
    I would recommend you to open a TAC case to have this investigated further. When you do, please, provide the following data:
    A showtech from the Admin context of the ACE
    A traffic capture taken on the TenGig interface connecting the switch with the ACE backplane while doing a test connection (preferably one with IE7 and one with IE8 to compare)
    If possible, a copy of the SSL private key. Being able to decrypt the traffic capture to look inside the HTTP flow would really make troubleshooting much easier.
    Regards

  • Embeded Flash and Internet Explorer

    When try and access a page I have created with internet
    explorer composed of html with an embed .swf there is a white box
    that one has to click to then access the normal functions of the
    .swf. Is there any code to make it so this extra click to access
    the embeded flash does not have to happen? It does not happen in
    firefox or safari.

    Oh god .. here we go again .. Obviously someone has been
    living under a rock
    or on a deserted island for a few months :)
    This is due to Microsoft IE changes required to avoid
    infringing the
    (stupid) EOLAS patent. It applies to all Active-X control
    that can interact
    with the user.
    If you are viewing a web site, you cannot really do anything
    to fix it,
    except complain to the web master

  • Site problems in Firefox and Internet Explorer

    Here's my site: http://davesnowgraphics.com/DSG/Home.html
    Created in iWeb '08. Here is a list of problems. Solutions welcome.
    1) In all browsers: links to internal pages open up in a new window or tab. As an internal link, the option to "Open page in a new window" is not even available. I therefore assume that they should open in the same window, but most open in a new page or tab.
    2) In Firefox (both Mac and PC) the text spacing is messed up. Throws spaces in the middle of words and generally stretches text or letter spacing, making text returns seemingly at random. The fonts are all supposedly web safe (Trebuchet MS and Times New Roman).
    3) Site is TOTALLY jacked in Internet Explorer. Transparency of linked images dumped, making intended graphics solid white. Also on the PC (I don't have the Mac I.E.), my text gets hijacked by random text links with those annoying pop-up boxes that lead elsewhere.
    Is it possible for an iWeb-generated site to work in commonly-used browsers, or do I have to learn Dreamweaver?

    Okay, so I did some code experimentation and solved everything in my last post inquiry.
    Seems the entire line *onclick="window.open(this.href); return false;" onkeypress="window.open(this.href); return false;"* needs to be removed from the javascript that iWeb generates when you have a link associated with a graphic. Pain in the butt, but it works.
    Also did extensive searching for title= and manually changed the following text to what I wanted it to be.
    I'm interested to know if these issues are resolved with the iWeb '09 update. Anybody know?
    I also removed the graphics that I was using as links on the cubes. I put simple square shapes in the middle of the cube sides, made them transparent and assigned the link to them. They don't map the entire cube side as a link, but enough to make it functional. Also, for some reason, the fact that they're native iWeb-generated shapes and not placed graphics, they open up in the same page without having to delete the code line mentioned above.
    Still no solutions to the following I.E. issue in my initial post.
    I have the site open on my PC right now in IE. If you go to About > Services, the words "Business", "communication" and "Project Management" are green with double underlines. If I roll over them, I get a popup window with an advertisement for GameVance. What's up with that? Is that a setting in my local Internet Explorer properties that I need to disable?

  • When I am in aol email I can't get to my contact list to forward my email. I have no problem when I use Internet Explorer for aol email.

    When I'm in Firefox and try to forward an email in aol email I cannot access my contact list when I click on the to/bcc/cc . When I use Internet Explorer I have no problem accessing my contact list at all.

    First make sure Settings > Facebook > Contacts is turned off. Tis might be different from what you described in your question.
    Then open your Contacts app and check carefully what is there for your son and grand daughter's contact info. Correct if necessary.

  • Menu positioning problem when viewing in Internet explorer on a pc

    Hi guys,
    I have created a website for a football team and I am having problems with the menu. It looks fine in all browsers apart from Internet Explorer. The menu positioning is meant to be on the left hand side but shows far right on the screen when viewed in Internet Explorer. Does anyone know how I can resolve this issue?
    http://www.stormersfc.co.uk
    css sheet - http://www.stormersfc.co.uk/style.css
    Hopefully someone can help.
    Cheers,
    Roy

    Hummm....its difficult to tell. Youre using so many redundant css styles ie not needed.
    Youre 'leftPan' <div> container is 140px in width but your ul (unordered list inside it is 244px wide?
    Why set widths and heights when they are not needed. You have no idea what height the ul and li will be in other users browsers. A child element placed inside a parent container will stretch to the full width without specifying a width for the child element. The key to web deisgn is keeping all the maths 100% correct. If you so much as get anything out by even one px it could break the design.
    #leftPan{
         margin-left: 90px;
         width: 140px;
    #leftPan ul{
         width:244px;
         height:250px;
         background-position: 0 0;
         padding-top: 0px;
         padding-right: 0;
         padding-bottom: 0;
         padding-left: 0;
         margin-top: 1px;
         text-decoration: none;
    I see no reason why your based structure ie the 'container', 'header', 'mainpic', sidebar1 and 'mainContent' should not work in all browsers. Now what you have inside those may be casuing the conflict. I would strip the page back to the base structure (check that it does work in all browsers) then begin to fill the containers, checking as you go.

  • Problem downloading file in Internet Explorer

    Hi, I have a problem with Internet Explorer. I want to click on a link that references a file with .dat extension, then select "Open" option and view the file in Notepad (I have the mapping with .dat files and Notepad). When I click on it, if I select "Save" option, the file is stored in disk correctly. But if I select Open opcion, Notepad opens with an error dialog:
    Can't find file C:\Documents and Settings\TANDIL\Configuracin local\Archivos temporales de Internet\Content.IE5\LZR539BK\Mensuales.dat
    Do you want to create a new file?
    I think that IE doesn't copy the file correctly in temp directory ...
    In my java class I set the response like this:
         resp.setContentType("binary/octet-stream");
         resp.addHeader("Content-Disposition", "attachment; filename=\"" + lote.getNombreArchivo()+ "\""); //el nombre de estos archivos son del tipo XXXXXXX.dat
         OutputStream out = null;

         copy(lote.getArchivo().getBinaryStream(), out); // lote.getArchivo().getBinaryStream() : es un array de bytes que se copian en la salida
         out.close();
    I set the response in differente ways, but I can't solve the problem ...
    resp.setContentType("application/octet-stream");
    resp.setContentType("text/plain");
    resp.setContentType("aplication/force-download");
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    I think you will get better answers if you post this question in a web related forum. The problem is not related to java but rather to http/html.
