Problème export PDF depuis Indesign CS6

Salut,

    Merci.

    Salut,

  • Problem with exporting PDF from Indesign CS6

    Hi,
I recently registered & installed CS6 on my computer (Last week!), and I seem to have problems with Indesign, which is the main reason for my buying the product.
The problem is that whenever I try to save & export a file as PDF from Indesign I get an error message (See attached file).
The files are saved with 0KB size, and so the Acrobat reader can't open them for preview.
This really interrupts my work, and backs up the entire comapny schedule.
I already tried updating, and uninstalling&re-installing the suite - but no luck.
Any help would be appreciated, and we need it ASAP.
    Thanks in advance,

Without proper system info and details about what PDF settings you actually used and how and where you save your files, nobody can say anything. You could simply be doing something silly like using PDF/A, but trying to enforce high-res pictures or whatever. In any case, ask in the ID forum.

  • Souci d'export PDF depuis indesign

  • Too long export to PDF from Indesign CS6

When I exporting PDF from InDesign CS6 takes too long. For example, a few minutes (5minutes). In InDesign CS3, which I used earlier, the file is exported immediately (few seconds). It is a problem in setting or higher hardware requirements?
I use laptop 2GB dual processor, 8GB RAM, Windows Vista 32 bit. You have a similar experience?

It is strange that CS6 supports Windows XP and Windows7 and Vista does not support. I use 8GB RAM because I bought a laptop so. There for me any solution, how to enable CS6 InDesign with the 32 bit system Windows Vista?

  • Having trouble exporting to pdf from InDesign CS6

When I attempt to export to pdf from InDesign CS6, the application crashes. Apparently there is some phantom plug-in issue.
I need to get this resolved asap.
    Thank you,
    Marissa

Have a look at this generic document to help you troubleshoot: http://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/troubleshoot-printing-pdf-export-indesign.html
Could you also provide details about what you've tried, and what errors you encountered? Is this problem limited to a particular document, or all documents?

  • Font issue in exported PDF from indesign

Font issue in exported PDF from indesign:
In Indesign file we have kept a sentence in “Univers LT Std” (San serif font) with all caps style that was orginally in lower case. Refer below
When we selected the sentence in exported PDF some of the characters are not selected. Refer below.
If we enable “create tagged PDF“ in export PDF setting, then the problem is solved. Refer below.
Can you please check why this problem happened? In another project also we have faced this same problem but different font “Frutiger LT Std” with all caps style. Here also same San serif font. Please check and advise to solve this issue permanently.

Without tags a PDF is a silly amount of letters, images and lines, with tags all itams a kept in their semantic context. So work with tags as it is the only way to get correct selections and export to other file types like Word DOCX.
Without tags InDesign reads from left to right from top to bottom and the font geometry might influence the correct order of letters.
Why should anyone work without tags today? If you open a tagged PDF in Acrobat DC it is much faster than without tags.

  • Export PDF from InDesign Book

Hi, I have a customer that has huge problems to export PDFs from InDesign Books. He has books with many documents with a total amount of 500-700 pages, when he try to export a PDF InDesign quit unexpectedly. I wrote a script for him that export the PDF from the book without the progress bar, and sometimes it solves the problem but sometimes not, and I have a "out of memory" message. He must export multiple PDF from the same book and then merge those PDF with Acrobat but he has also interactivity sometimes and it's a nightmare to merge PDFs with interactive objects and bookmarks.  Someone of you have experienced the same problem (and maybe has a solution)?  Thank you

It seems that InDesign saturate the available RAM during the operation of gathering information before start to export, if I restart InDesign each time and export a selection of documents it works. I'm exporting now two separate PDF and it seems to work, but again only if I close and restart InDesign before exporting, I'm working on an iMac with an Intel 2.93 GHz i7 and a total of 8 GB RAM.

  • Trying to export to PDF from InDesign CS6 but nothing happens

I'm in InDesign CS6 and when I export to PDF, nothing happens. I have other files with the same format and they are exporting fine. I tried putting all the content into a new document but it still doesn't work. Has anyone else had this issue?
    Thank you!

  • MojikumiElement Tagged Text export junk in InDesign CS6

    Hello,
Our InDesign Tagged Text exports have suddenly been infested with large amounts of the following code, repeating over and over.  We've managed to munge it out on the other side of the process, but can't figure out how it got there in the first place.  It's making the files take much longer to process, but otherwise seems to have no effect whatsoever.  My understanding is that I shouldn't be seeing anything Mojikumi related unless I'm using the Japanese version of ID/CS, or embedding Japanese characters.
Any ideas why this is happening and how to make it stop?

    TIA and much appreciated

    Hi Steve,
I created a book in InDesign for traditional print. Now I need to convert it
to a epub file for use on a ŒKindle¹.
So my workflow is just in InDesign CS6, then I create a new document in the
Œbook¹ format. Then I import the InDesign docs into the Œbook¹ dialogue
window. You can choose the Œpreflight book¹ option in the Œbook¹ dialogue
box and choose to see the errors as a PDF, which is what I¹ve been doing. I
have errors on every page of the proposed Œepub¹ file.
If I then drag that epub file to my ŒKindle preveiwer, it immediately says
that it Œfailed to compile the book file¹, and there is nothing shown.
    Thanks,
    Nick.

  • Exporting PDFs in InDesign CC fails

I have tried to export a multi page Indesign document to PDF but it keeps failing. The document was created in CS 5.5 and exported without any problems in this version. I've recently upgraded to CC and have experienced a few problems when exporting to PDF. Firstly, I have idenified the page where the failure occurs by deleting pages in the InDesign document until the file would export. The page consists of objects created in InDesign (circles which have strokes, gradients and drop shadows) which make up a diagram. I've tried replacing this diagram by copying and pasting it from the CS 5.5 version of the InDesign document, exporting to PDF and that works ok. Unfortunately the diagram is too big for the page size so I've scaled it down to 90% of the original size but when I export the PDF it fails. Any ideas?

I am having the exact same issue, no PDF is being created from InDesign and I do have a diagram with gradients. I exported as a JPG just for the client to see but I need to print and JPG won't do. So I was exporting it into Illustrator into the printer's template and when the time to paste the diagram came, again some the issue saying "Acrobat PDF File Format is having differculties. Unterminated string"
I ewas having this issue earlier on my InDesign CS6 so I decided to uninstall as I had tried all work arounds and I really don't have time for Adobe's bugs. Instead of reinstalling CS6 I installed CC which I am guessing, based on this thread, is causing some conflicting issues. Reinstalled CS6 and working from it now, but still having same issues.
    Please help.

  • Can't Choose Page Range when Exporting PDF from InDesign

Hi!  Ever since I upgraded to CS6 via your subscription, I can't choose a page-range when exporting to PDF from InDesign (8.0.1).  Here's a video demonstration of the problem so you can see the bug in action:  http://screencast.com/t/kYR1ACtNi
Are you aware of this bug?  If it's not a bug, how do I fix it?

Alternate layouts are used for things like horizontal and vertical orientations of the same layout for use on tablets. I suspect there's some coverage in the Help files -- being a print guy I don't mess with them.
It may be that you only have one layout and ID just shows you that one inthe dropdown. I can't recall that I ever used the dropdown to try to select the range -- I always just type what I need in the field.

  • How do I assign different Epub export tags in InDesign CS6?

I have at least 3 paragraph styles that I can not get to export the way I want them with InDesign CS6. I have my main paragraph style. Then another based on the main that I would like to have extra space before it. I did this in InDesign with a setting of 0.25 in in space before in the Indents and Spacing options. A third paragraph style I want to stand apart from the others with an indented right and left margins plus space above and below. It looks good in InDesign but when I export to Epub all 3 paragraphs look alike. I assume that I have to do something with the Edit All Export Tags settings but what?
Thank you for any assistance someone can give me.

I've moved your question to the InDesign EPUB forum.
EXACTLY what version of CS6 are you running? There was a bug in an early version of CS6 that prevented either space before or space after from being recognized (I forget which). It was fixed in a later version.
What does it say in the About InDesign dialog?

  • Creating a Randomizer/Shuffle Button for interactive PDF in InDesign CS6 (PC)

I'm creating a set of flashcards in InDesign CS6 (on a PC) so there are two sides (question then answer). I'd like them to "flip over" using an interactive PDF. That's not the problem - the tough part is linking the two sides (ie pages) together and creating a "randomizer" button so the user can shuffle the deck of flashcards in a new order while keeping the question and answer pages of each card together. Is that possible with an interactive PDF? I'd appreciate any info! The company is printing the flashcards and then offering them in a digital format to it would be great to be able to use one document for both purposes.

Sorry, this is not possible in an interactive PDF file.
You could probably do with SWF. You could probably include it a tablet app using HTML5 and JavaScript.
    But not in PDF.
