Bonjour,
Je possède un PC portable HP Envy 15-J099EF tournant sous Windows 8.1
L'installation de Photoshop Element 12 n'arrive pas à son terme (problème installation avec Shared Technologie ?) et a plantée.
La partie du programme qui avait commencé à s'installer, semble se desinstaller.
Depuis je n'arrive plus à lancer l'installation malgré que le logiciel n'apparaisse plus dans la liste des logiciels installés.
Le programme d'installation cherche quand meme a desinstaller Photoshop Elements et me retourne le message 'specified path is empty'.
Pour tenter a nouveau son installation ai du restaurer mon pc !!
Et rebelote, je tourne en bourrique (pour etre poli) !!!
Impossible aussi d'installer Premiere Elements 12 pour les memes raisons que ci-dessus. Par contre celui-ci se desinstalle correctement.
J'utilise une version telechargée.
Je tourne en rond et comme je suis pas un specialiste en informatique mais juste un utilisateur potentiel du logiciel, j'envisage
fortement de me faire rembourser cet achat.
Merci de m'aider pour résoudre ce problème si une solution existe, mais y en a t'il une ?
Ai regarde dans les forums, dans les aides de Adobe mais cela n'a pas donne de resultats.

Problems installation Photoshop Elements 8 on Windows 7

I tried to install Photoshop elements 8 on my Windows 7 computer, but the installation gives a failure after a certain time. A file "...cab" is not working and may be corrupt ( exact failure code I can give, if necesary). Is there any possibility to get this file or the program Photoshop Elements 8 as download file so that I can complete the installation? Thank you in advance for your answers.

I just got the same problem already some time ago when I tried to install this programm in my computer. At that time (March 2012) the program crashed my computer, I had to reinstall all the Software completely including system software. The program I purchased in December 2011 from Amazon together with a Reflecta crystal Scan slide scanner as bundle, so I thought it will work.
I will try to install the program from the download link you gave me, in case it does not work, what can I do next without having to buy a newer version?

Photoshop Elements 12 Installation Failure Shared Technologies

I bought PSE 12 this morning and have been trying to download t all day. Im using the recommended Akamai_NetSession_Installer. But once it gets to a certain point it stops and rolls back everything its doing and a msg pops up:
The installation process has encountered an error while installing Shared Technologies. Pease restart your system and try again.

How to get Elem. 12 installation pass shared technology?

I have tried to install Elements 12 twice today. Both times have gotten message "shared technology failed to install". and the installation stopped.
Have all Nortons temp. suspended. Have checked troubleshooting and am not experienced enough to change name of OOBE as suggested by troubleshooter.

Problems installling Photoshop CS5.1 on Mac OS Snow Leopard Version 10.6.3

Hi I am having problems installing photoshop cs5 on a mac from a disk, when it gets to 26% it just freezes and I have to force an eject of the disk.
I am very new to macs with little training so any ideas much apprepriated.

You might want to update your OS (apple-menu > Software Update) and are you sure you have enough free disk space?

Installation of PSE 11 fails on Shared Technologies

I cannot install PSE 11 on Windows 8 - it always fails on installation of 'shared technologies'.
I have looked at the error log and problem seems to be unsupported payload by RIBS. Not sure what this means and what is causing this.

Well, don't ask me how but today I switched on my mac and .... voilà, iTunes 11 was there running without any problem. It looks like that the error message was a fake notification. Maybe in the next days I will discover some issues but it work fine, so far.

Blocage d'installation de Premiere Elements 12 (shared technologies)

j'ai acheté photoshop elements 12, le programme s'installe sous windows 7, puis se bloque sur shared technologies. J'ai pourtant suivi la procédure et désactivé mon pare feu windows. Pouvez-vous m'aider ?

j'ai acheté le logiciel d'installation hier et donc avec le cd
d'installation et le S/N.
Le programme s'installe bien sous Windows 7 ( photoshop elements 12 et
elements organzer ) puis me donne un message d'erreur ( copie en annexe )
lors de l'installation de shared technologies obligatoire.
J'ai désactivé mon anti-virus et essayé plusieurs fois, même la version
d'essai. Rien à faire je reçois toujours le même message.
A noter que j'ai acheté aussi premiere elements 11 le mois dernier et que
je n'ai eu aucun problème a l'installer !
D'autre part, la page d'aide que vous me proposé est hors service !
Que puis-je faire?

j'ai télécharger la version d'essai de photoshop éléments 11, pour voir si les différences avec le 10 justifiait l'achat de cette nouvelle version, tout se passe bien sauf au moment de l'installation de shared technologie. j'ai essayé de désactiver l'antivirus et le pare feu, mais rien n'y fait. j'ai vu ce qui était dit sur le site d'adobe, mais je ne trouve aucun journaux d'installation dans common files, donc je ne comprends d'ou ça vient ni ce qu'il faut faire. j'ai vu que je ne suis pas la seule à avoir ce problème, donc si vous avez la solution, je prends.

en fait je trouve le dossier common files, mais il n'y a pas de journaux d'installation d'adobe dans ce dossier pas plus en anglais qu'en français, mais bon de toute façon, j'ai vu chez une amie qui a pu installer cette version que finalement, il y avait peu de changement et que cet achat n'était pas justifier pour moi, donc je vais attendre que ce problème soit résolu par adobe et je verrai par la suite. merci quand même.

I just want a refund; have given up installing Elements 12 due to error in installing "shared technologies"

This refers to Order No. 12642019825 for Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 which I bought online yesterday for USD135.62. My trial version worked all right - thank you for that. But after paying an arm and a leg for the licensed version - this from a third world country - I couldn't install the software due to a persistent error message regarding installation of "shared technologies." I've tried every suggestion in the Adobe forums and nothing seems to work.
Installation shouldn't be a burden imposed on a paying customer. You need a rocket scientist to install this lemon, maybe you need to hire the techies from the Jet Propulsion Lab who are able to fix bugs on the Mars rovers merely by zapping a signal from Mother Earth.
Refund me, please, I will buy it again if you can sell a easy-to-install product. And, hey, please answer me directly at [email protected]

"I FOUND THE SOLUTION! Sorry to say, I did this after disregarding the
absolutely useless advise from Adobe's "experts" that led me nowhere. For
the sake of users out there experiencing the same problem, here's how I did
it.
1. Installed Elements 12 until it got to the point where it the error
message says "The installation process has met some error installing Shared
Technologies. Please restart your system and try again."
2. Well, I did not restart my system or allow the process to roll back. If
you look at the desktop, the Elements 12 icon and shortcut already appears
- it seems the installation is 99.99% complete, except that you cannot open
it.
3. While clicking the short cut, a message said something like "some device
is missing. Download the latest Adobe Application Manager to open (or
start) your trial software" or words to that effect. I did download the
latest Adobe Application Manger 8.0.
4. After downloading the Adobe Application Manager, I clicked the Elements
12 shortcut again and lo and behold it opened and is running beautifully.
However, the warning in No. 1 above is still displayed. Don't ever click it
or else the installation will roll back and you are back to zero. I simply
shut down the computer and restarted. Elements 12 is permanently installed.
Thanks to some DIY tinkering.
I am not sure though if this will work on other's computers. And by the
way, thanks to Adobe's experts for being nice."

PS Elemnts will not install Shared Technologies

Hi, I have problem installing PSE10 on my new laptop with Windows 7. It stops under the installation of Shared Technologies and back the whole installation out again.
I have deactivated the firewall and the anti virus during the installation process. Other suggestions?

These errors indicate that one or more of the Shared Technologies failed to install. Shared Technologies include the following:

PE 9 fails at Shared Technologies

I just downloaded the trial, then purchase files (yeah, I know they're supposed to be the same). Installed twice, both times failed at this point (below). PE then rolls back so that only the unzipped files are available. I then tried to run the setup.exe as administrator (as I did with the install) and got the same error message.
I have PE8 installed without any problems (also CS5 Web Premium installed, no problem).
HP Elite HPE 190t, Core I7 X 980, 24 GB ram, 1.26TB free on C: drive, Windows 7 Ultimate, 64-bit.

Hello to all and specially to Adobe responsible.(if any)
I am more interested in photos stuff than in computers matters.
I use PE 5 since years with no problem. (+ Windows XP Pro)
I bought new camera Nikon D300s and discovered PE5 does not treat RAW photos from this new model of camera.
I bought a new computer HP with Windows 7 Pro.
I bought PE9 to be able to treat RAW NEF photos.
I tried to install PE9 and as hundreds of victims it did not work because of failure to ins tall “Shared Technologies”.
I spent hundreds of hours and hours, alone and with more expert people, to install, to remove the program, in English, in French. No way nothing works. Each time it prevents me to use computer for hours, because it installs and then rolls back automatically. It wears out my hard disk for nothing, etc………..and my nerves.
I did all what is recommended in several Forums. (and saw how many people shared this problem instead of sharing technologies!)
I run as Administrator,
I extract any archived downloaded files
i installed to C:\ instead of Adobe
I turned off all AV, pop-up blockers, spy-sweeping software
i turned off all firewalls, and lower the security settings
I have plenty of free space on your C:\, and 6 GB RAM
I checked your OS's language and keyboard language against the language I use. I did it in French and in English.
I burned incense and blow the smoke towards San Jose, CA, USA as recommended by Bill
I installed “adobe support Advisor .exe”
All except remove Bridge from Task Manager because I did not have this program running.
And each time the same mess!!!
So far I am quite pissed off of this comedy, this lost of time and nerve. I do not understand why Adobe does not release something clear, applicable easily for all customers. I am NOT ready to buy any other Adobe product. This is a real anti commercial approach.
The solution must come from Adobe who sold this software, and NOT from poor users who suffer of this bug.
Voila I find all this unacceptable and I let it know.
I just spent 103 Euros for nothing.
Thank you ADOBE for taking care of Clients so carefully.
Any help is welcome because I have a lot of RAW pictures to treat.
