Probleme Lightroom CC sur Yosemite
Bonsoir,

Hi
Has anyone dared upgraded to OSX Yosemite and still maintained Lightroom 4?
I haven't upgraded to Lightroom 5 and with 6 coming in March, I won't be paying to upgrade to 5 when 6 is just around the corner. I didn't see anything in 5 that I thought was worth the full upgrade price, so I haven't upgraded so far.
I'm pretty excited about the things Yosemite can offer Mac users BUT if it all comes at a cost to maintain Adobe products I will just have to hold off until March and upgrade all at once
LenscurveBe aware of an unfixed color management big in Lightroom running on Yosemite or Mavericks. More here: Lightroom 5 ICC profiles clipped shadows under OSX
And quantization here: Jao's photo blog: Further quantification of the Mavericks color management problem
This bug has existed since Mavericks and is present in LR 5 and will kill the display of shadow areas in Develop (they will be OK in Library). I have never tried it with LR 4 but I wouldn't hold out hope. Every single Mac running Lightroom on Mavericks or Yosemite has this problem. Haven't found any exceptions yet. I think most people do not notice if you do not care much about the display of very deep shadows but as soon as you notice it you'll see it all the time. You can work around it by turning on soft proofing which will correct the shadow display but that is a kludge. -
16 mo young Mac Pro will not turn on. Dead. Why. No problems ever! Installed Yosemite and did not boot up after. Did that kill it? To young to die. What happened?what do I do now??????? Help!
Note that you don't have a Mac Pro as stated. Your profile says you have a MacBook Pro. Please clarify as they are entirely different computers. If nothing below works for you, then make a Genius Appointment and take it in for service.
Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the
computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager
screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
4. Reinstall Yosemite: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall OS X from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless. -

Lightroom Performance with Yosemite
Is there a performance advantage or improvement for Lightroom running with Yosemite? Currently running Mavericks.
Thanks.Hey pschooner,
Thanks for the question. I understand that you are experiencing performance issues with your Mac running OS X Yosemite. According to the following resource, you Mac definitely meets all of the system requirements:
Apple - OS X Yosemite - How to Upgrade

I see that you have already checked your disk with disk utility. The following resource provides some more steps that you may want to try:

Ich habe MacOS auf Yosemite umgestellt. Nun funktioniert das Kartenmodul in Lightroom überhaupt nicht mehr oder nur sehr, sehr langsam und in kleinen Teilen. Ich habe dazu einen Hinweis im Forum gefunden aber keinen Hinweis daruf, dass sich Adobe oder Apple um das Problem kümmern. Weiß jemand eine Lösung?
WolfgangWell, back home, I try again: no success.
A speedtest shows 5.600 for download, 510 for upload. This is, what T-Online promises for my region.
Map works very, very slow - or not at all.

Sound problem after upgrading to Yosemite.
After upgrading to Yosemite, Sound driver suddenly stopped working as you see in the image.
There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. Some may not apply to your model. Back up all data before making any changes.
1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
2. Run Software Update and make sure you have a fully up-to-date installation of OS X.
3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
4. Other third-party software that has been reported to interfere with sound output includes "Boom" and "Samsung Kies." If applicable, uninstall according to the developer's instructions (not by dragging something to the Trash.)
5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select Built-in Output from the list on the left. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them.
7. If a red light is visible in the audio-out port when sound should be playing, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by the warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do notappear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
11. Reset the NVRAM.
12. Reset the SMC.
13. Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/Preferences/Audio
Right-click or control-click the highlighted line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Recreate your settings in the Sound preference pane.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
14. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data.
15. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store. -
Problem starting iMac on Yosemite
Hi, yesterday I installed Yosemite on my iMac 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5.
All was well yesterday, turned the mac off last night and back on again this morning to be presented with a white screen, Apple logo and a loading bar which gets to about a third of the way across and then stops.
Sometime the loading bar gets a little further and then stops and the pointer turns into a colour wheel.
After multiple attempts to start it finally completed loading and I got to my desktop.
I shut down and started up again to check it was just a glitch and had the same problem again.
After many re-starts I have finally got back up and running but obviously I don't want to shut down again until I find a solution.
I installed EtreCheck and got it to create a report:

'Your computer restarted because of a problem' ever since installing Yosemite
Hey guys,
Ever since I installed OS X Yosemite my Macbook Pro late 2012 has crashed and restarted randomly about 10 times so far over the past few weeks. Theres no pattern with what seems to be causing this, one time I was watching something on Youtube and another I was scrolling through Facebook, and just today I restarted my laptop on my own, and right when it shut down the message appeared! The message that appears after the crash is "Your computer restarted because of a problem. Press any key to continue", followed by a normal boot up, and everything seems to run perfectly normal until another random crash. I never had this problem with Mavericks and I'm quite certain its got to do with my upgrade to Yosemite. Can someone help me find the problem or tell me what to do?
Heres the error report that I got since the last crash:

I launch and relaunch and the same message appears over and over.
Should I uninstall and then re-install Lightroom? Would this fix the problem? Thanks Jim.
I will give it a try.
My "Lightroom 5 Catalog Previews.lrdata" folder is 12.3 GB in size, so the rebuild will take lots of time...right?
I'll let you know how it goes.
Ciao.

Anyone with eye strain problem after upgrading to Yosemite please report feedback to Apple
As this eye strain problem is getting worse and basically I love some new Yosemite features, so please let Apple knows if this new upgrade have some display problems. I am using iMac 27" late 2013. this eye strain problem doesn't occur when using Mavericks (my mac is dual boot Maverick <-> Yosemite)

Thanks in advance.Perform the following, stopping with the first one which works:
1. Open the Mac App Store's Purchases tab. If you're prompted to accept it and the other iLife/iWork applications into your Apple ID, do so.
2. Move them out of the Applications folder(they may need to be put into the Trash temporarily), and then see if you can download them for free from their individual product pages. If you're asked to buy them, see #3.
3. Click here, contact Apple, and wait for a response.
4. Buy them.
