Probleme mit Photoshop CS4 und Softproof

Es geht um eine nicht korrekte Darstellung des Softproofs:
Hab da mal nen Test gestartet:
Ein Bild welches kein Profil hat in PSD CS4 geöffnet. Beim öffnen dem ersten Bild ein sRGB Profil zugewiesen. Der Kopie des Bildes ein AdobeRGB Profil zugewiesen. (nicht konvertiert, nur rein zugewiesen)
Dann bei dem Bild mit AdobeRGB einen Softproof angelegt welcher sRGB simulieren soll. (Nummern beibehalten)
Tataaa, das Ergebnis stimmt NICHT mit dem ersten Bild überein welches in sRGB geöffnet wurde. Hier das Bild:

Das komplett selbe Szenario in Photoshop CS3 gemacht.
Hier stimmt der Softproof (rechts) mit dem linken Bild (wo das sRGB zugewiesen wurde) überein. So solls ja auch sein.
Nun, ich bin auch schon auf den "Fehler" draufgekommen, jedoch macht mich das ganze stutzig. Und zwar gibt es in der CS4 ja die neuen OpenGL Einstellungen.
Wenn man hier die Einstellung (Für Bildanzeige verwenden) abhakt, funktioniert das ganze wieder wie unter CS3.
Ich frage mich allerdings, warum dem so ist?
Inkompatibilitäten mit meiner Grafikkarte (GeForce GT 8800)?
Bug in Photoshop?
Ich find das ehrlich gesagt nicht i.O.
Denn wenn ich den Test nicht mache, werde ich beim softproofen ja eigentlich jedesmal auf eine falsche Fährte gelockt...
Kann jemand weiterhelfen?

Das sind irgendwelche Fehler im Wacom-Treiber in Kombination mit bestimmten Grafikkarten und PS' Hardwarebeschleunigung. Eine wirkliche Lösung zu dem Problem habe ich noch nirgendwo gesehen, aber vielelicht hilft ja das Ausknipsen von OpenCL oder andere Grafikeinstellungen im System.

    Hallo zusammen, ich hoffe man kann mir hier weiter helfen.
    Seit ich Photoshop CS 6 auf meinen Rechner habe (Windows 7 64Bit, 8GByte Ram, Nvidia GTX 460 Grafikkarte) habe ich Probleme beim Zeichnen probleme mit dem Drucksensitiven Stif meines Wacom Cintiq 21UX Pen-Display.
    Es tritt immer wieder Sporadisch auf, das wenn ich z.B. einfach Striche Zeichnen will, Gerade oder Geschwungene aus dem Handgelenk raus, das diese plötzlich in voller Pinselgröße erscheinen, ob wohl Photoshop so eingestellt ist, das die Pinselgröße durch den Stiftdruck gesteuert werden soll.
    z.B. möchte eine Art Grass Zeichnen also setze ich den Stift an und Zeichne los, die ersten Sekunden kann ich diverse unterschiedliche Striche zeichnen, dann setze ich wieder zum x-ten mal den Stift für den nächsten Strich an und dieser wird in voller Pinselgröße  gezeichnet, egal wie stark ich mit dem Stift aufdrücke, wenn ich den Stift wieder anhebe und wieder neu aufsetze geht es wieder oder auch mal nicht.
    Ich weiß nicht wo das Problem ist den in Photoshop CS5 habe ich das noch nie gehabt.
    Ich nutze viel die Standard Pinselspitze, aber auch bei anderen Pinselspitzen ist dieses verhalten gegeben, in anderen Programmen mit der Drucksensitiven Stift unterstützung habe ich keinerlei Probleme.
    Habe auch die Wacom-Sift einstellungen schon wieder auf Standard zurück gesetzt auch ohne erfolg, auch aktuelle Wacom-Treiber installiert, auch ohne erfolg, es liegt an Photoshop CS 6
    Wer kann helfen, oder könnte jemand das Problem an Adobe schicken, ich kann leider kein Englisch, habs schon mal in Deutsch an Adobe geschickt aber bis heute keine rückmeldung erhalten.
    Bedanke mich schon mal im voraus für jede Hilfe.

    Nö. Woher auch? Du hast keinerlei Systeminformationen und Details über deien Bilder, Werkzeugeinstellungen und was weiß ich gegeben. Die Pauschalantwort wäre bestenfalls: Grafiktreiber aktualisieren oder die entsprechenden Beschleunigungsfunktionen in den Voreinstellungen ausknipsen. Alles andere können wir nicht wissen.

  • Problem with Photoshop CS4 after migration to new Mac

    I just migrated from an old Mac to a new Macbook Pro running Mavericks. I'm having a problem with Photoshop CS4. Specifically, two things:
    1) When I open an image in Camera Raw, I get this error:
    Fatal error - missing component
    /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Version Cue CS4/Client/4.0.0/VersionCue.framework
    2) When I try to save anything, it tells me it can't because of a program error.
    I've looked around for a solution. Apparently I had to install Java, but that hasn't solved the issue. A couple of people mentioned that reinstalling would work for a similar problem. My problem with that is that my disk is on the other side of the world and my new macbook doesn't have a disk drive anyway. So I logged into my Adobe account hoping to see a download link for software I have licences for, but there isn't one.
    So my question is firstly, whether there is a simpler solution to the errors I am getting and, if not, if there's a solution to reinstalling Photoshop CS4 without the disk.

    Did you use Apple's migration tool?  It misses a lot of support files, especially in the Application Support directories.
    You'll have to copy those files manually, or reinstall the app.

    Frustrating problem: Help with add file name problem with Photoshop CS4. What happens is this. When I am in PS CS4 or CS3 and run the following script it runs fine. When I am in Bridge and go to tools/photoshop/batch and run the same script it runs until it wants interaction with preference.rulerunits. How do I get it to quit doing this so I can run in batch mode? Any help is appreciated. HLower

    It has to do with your text size.  This should help.
    Solution: Change the Windows text size to 149% or 151%.
    To change the text size:
    Choose Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Display.
    Choose Set custom text size (DPI) in the menu on the left panel.
    Type in 149 or 151 into the Scale to this percentage of normal size field.
    Press enter and click OK.
    Choose to log off and then log on to make the change.

  • PSE 7 Editing Problem using Photoshop CS4

    I recently upgraded to PSE 7 and am totally confounded by a recurring problem using Photoshop CS4 as my editor for photos from PSE 7.  When I enter Ctrl + H, Adobe Photoshop CS4 opens the photo just fine and I am able to edit without any issues.  When I am done editing, I save the file, close Photoshop (or close the file) and the photo is immeditealy deleted from the directory even though it was just saved in the directory.
    I recently re-installed Windows XP, PSE 7, and Photoshop CS4, and the problem continues.  Any help or suggestions?  I really prefer to use the Photoshop CS4 editor.

    Thanks for the response.  However, I don't believe the article you you referred to actually refers to the problem I'm having.  It seeems more specific to thumbnails from .PSD files created in CS4.
    However, the work-around you mentioned is a possibility for me as well.  However, instead of overwriting the original, I can also save the edited file to another directory and copy it back to he directory once I exit PSE.  This gets to be a REAL PAIN, though, when you're editing several photos at a sitting.

    I installed windows 7 64 bit and photosop cs4 32 and 64 bits.
    For plugins I use photoshop 32 bit as in 64 does not recognize.
    When working with photoshop 32-bit, or by applying a similar effect on photoshop I "refresh" the screen, I have to give it a click above to update the action taken, which does not happen with the 64-bit . previously when I had windows XP 32 bit, something similar is happening but unlike in Windows 7 is became more confusing to work
    Looking at other forums I found that others feel the same.
    I recently upgraded my computer to Windows 7, but can not get photoshop to work properly.The refresh of the windows is horrible, it gives many hitches, even small images at 72 dpi. It's pretty desperate

    The problem is that whenever I do a process, I have to click on the screen to react, is quite annoying if you retouch photos, anyone know where the problem may lie?
    Example of my problem
    I apply an effect to an image flash
    Notice how after applying it, as is the browser and thumbnail in the layer and I obviously still displays the result on the image.
    After giving up a click:
    I shows the effect applied, but the display remains the same, as in the layer.
    If I want to leave the viewer have to make the preview zoom.
    As you will see work like this is very annoying and stressful. Any help?

    Did you update PS CS4 to 11.0.1? If not update before turning off opengl or updating Nvidia drivers.
    There are also new nvidia drivers out 197.13. However, newer does not always equal better.

  • Problems with Photoshop cs4 for the Mac

    I am having all kinds of problems with Photoshop CS4 for the Mac.  When I boot the software it seems to work for a while then, I am unable to open upf a file in Photoshop.  I drag a photoshop file over the application icon, the whole screen flickers and nothing happens.  I am unable to quit Photoshop as the quit choice is grayed out and command-q will not make it quit. I have to force quit.  I can repeat this pattern over and over.  What is happening?  How do I solve this problem?

    Thanks for the reply.  I am using  Photoshop 11.0.1.  I am using the latest version of Snow Leopard.  I have found both Photoshop and Dreamweaver to be pretty buggy for several versions now.  My suspicions were that they were really engineered for Windows and never really fully implemented for the Mac.  Dreamweaver crashes or hangs on me three or four times a day if I us it all day and does various annoying things like refusing to respond to the delete key after I have used it for a while.  I have pretty much stopped using it to some degree for that reason and also because there is other software that does a lot of coding things I do much more directly and simply.  Also Dreamweaver always seems to struggle to quit when I tell it to quit (that is, it takes a long time and gets hung up at places before it quits) and once it does quit, I always get a message saying that it has unexpectedly quit (even when I have told it to quit).
    The problems with Photoshop  (starting with just taking a long time to load)  have escalated to the point I described today, which makes it almost unusable. I just reinstalled Snow Leopard to see if there was anything buggy in the system software.  I will report if problems go away.
    Regarding both the refusal to open image files and the grayed out quit command, made me think something like you, i.e. there was some dialogue box open somewhere.  However, I couldn't find anything and I don't use two monitors.
    So . . . Adobe just seems to be getting more expensive and more buggy.
    Incidentally, why is it still running in Rosetta rather than natively?  Adobe now has a real Intel processor to work with.

  • Problem mit Photoshop Elements 9

    Hallöchen,
    schonmal vorab, ich habe wirklich nicht viel Ahnung von irgendwelchen Einstellungen.
    Ich weiß nur, dass ich Photoshop Elements 9 schon eine ganze Weile habe und
    seit seit ner Weile nun irgendwie alles umgestellt wurde oder vllt. sogar "kaputt" ist.
    Ich zeichne sehr viel mit dem Programm und natürlich einem Grafiktablett von Wacom.
    Folgende Probleme:
    Öffne ich ein neues leeres Bild, dann erscheint ja ein weißes Blatt und in den
    Ebenen wird "Hintergrund" angezeigt. Auf diesem kann ich nicht mehr zeichnen,
    ich hab schon mehrere Pinsel getestet, nur das Füllwerkzeug funktioniert (doll..).
    Wenn man dann eine neue Ebene (normal) erstellt, kann man dort nur kurze Striche
    ziehen, das hackt auf einmal ab ner gewissen Länge ab.
    Außerdem kann man immer nur eine Farbe auf einer Ebene verwenden, wenn man noch eine verwenden
    will, muss man noch eine Ebene erstellen (o.O).. geht man mit einer zweiten/anderen Farbe
    auf die Ebene, dann kommt eine andere Farbe dabei raus und meistens auch noch
    sehr fein und hell, obwohl die Deckkraft bei 100% liegt.
    Ich möchte ganz einfach wieder normal zeichnen können, ich verwende die Hintergrundebene
    meistens eh nie, aber ich finde es merkwürdig, dass man darauf nichtmal 'nen Punkt
    setzen kann.
    Wisst ihr, wo das Problem liegt?
    Liegt es an irgendwelchen Einstellungen?
    Bitte bitte helft mir.

    Schon geprüft, welchen Modi deine Problem-Datei hat (8bit oder 16bit, RGB-Modus oder sonstiger Farbraum)?
    außerdem:
    ... Öffne ich ein neues leeres Bild ...
    Neu erstellt oder geöffnet? Wenn letzteres - woher stammt die Datei?
    Bitte auch daran denken: PSE kann bisher kein CMYK handhaben (mein Kenntnisstand bis Vers. 8)
    ... seit ner Weile nun irgendwie ...
    Wurde seither ein neues Programm installiert oder irgend ein Update gemacht?

    Hoffe das mir jemand rasch bei meinem Problem mit dem Acroabt 9 Touchup-Objektwerkzeug und Illustrator CS4 helfen kann.
    Ich habe seit heute das Phänomen, das wenn ich bei einem PDF etwas mit dem TouchUp-Objektwerkzeug anwähle und im Illustrator bearbeiten möchte, ich nach dem schliessen und speichern im Illustrator, im PDF das ausgewählte Objekt versetzt angezeigt wird und alle aus Illustrator anwählbaren Marken (Schnittmarken, Passermarken usw.) mit angezeigt und plaziert werde.

    Das habe ich befürchtet.

    In regard to you question on changing default to always save in jpeg, if my memory serves me correctly, and it often does not, this question has been asked before and the answer is you can not.
    The file you want to save may have info that will be lost as a jpeg so .psd is offered as the default.  If you open a jpeg and then choose save the default will be jpeg.
    You can set up an action to save the psd as a jpeg.  Make it a shortcut on one of the F keys.

I have previously worked with Photoshop CS2 and never had an issue but was force to buy this new one because the computer that I bought has Windows Vista and CS2 is not compatible. I thought maybe the problem was my printer but is not I have a Brother HL-5140 (black and white). I have connected my old computer with the printer and the images print perfectly fine. I have printed photos and it prints clear. But this only happens with Photoshop CS4. It prints dots, can someone please help me. Is driving me crazy.

    Really I'd be willing to bet it's your driver under Vista.
    I have the same problem using Vista and a older HP LaserJet, under XP and CS2 it prints well. Under Vista it's a bunch of dithered pixelated dots.
    They want you to buy a newer printer.

    I haven't heard of anyone else with those specific symptoms.
    But another poster has had problems with his Canon 9900 not printing (but no blank page).
    The first thing to do is make sure you are using the Canon drivers and not the GutenPrint/GimpPrint drivers.
    After that, you probably need to check with Canon.
