Probleme mit USB 3.0 Ports IdeaPad N581

Hallo,
Ich habe folgendes Problem mit meinen USB 3.0 Ports:
Wenn ich meine externe Festplatte (WD MyBook 3TB 3,5") an einen USB 3.0 Port anschließe, gibt Windows mir ohne Pause die gleiche Fehlermeldung aus: "Sie müssen den Datenträger in Laufwerk F: formatieren, bevor Sie ihn verwenden können."
Wenn ich die Festplatte an einen USB 2.0 Port anschließe funktioniert sie allerdings ohne Probleme.
Der Laptop ist frisch neu aufgesetzt, hatte das Problem aber auch schon vorher. Ich habe den aktuellen Treiber für die USB Ports erst von der Support Seite von Lenovo, dann den Aktuellsten direkt von Intel (1.0.10.255) installiert.
Die Festplatte hat im Laufe der Fehlersuche ebenfalls den aktuellsten Treiber, sowie die neueste Firmware verpasst bekommen, leider alles ohne Erfolg.
Leider habe ich kein zweites USB 3.0 Gerät um es an den Ports zu testen, jegliche anderen USB-Geräte funktionieren allerdings einwandfrei...
Wenn ich die Festplatte anschließe sieht es so aus, als würde die Festplatte immer wieder connecten, die Fehlermeldung auslösen und dann wieder disconnecten.
Anbei ein Screenshot des Geräte Managers. Das sieht genauso aus, wenn die Festplatte an USB 2.0 oder USB 3.0 hängt.

danke für die Nachricht.
Der Sachverhalt gilt für beide USB 3.0-Ports?
Du könntest auch noch einmal den Chipsatz-Treiber und danach den USB 3.0-Treiber neu installieren.
Deinstalliere die beiden genannten Treiber bitte über den Gerätemanager.
Fange mit dem Chipsatz-Treiber an. Deinstallation --> Neustart des Rechners --> Neuinstallation.

Problem related USB Virtual COM PORT using PDA module 8.2 on Windows CE

I am working on tranferring my application developed on LV 8.2 to a Single-board computer(SBC) running Windows CE 5.0. I am using LV PDA module 8.2 to achieve this. My problem lies in finding the port number of the Virtual COM Port on the SBC. I need to connect a USB RF modem from Maxstream to this SBC and to talk to it using VISA. I have installed the required drivers from Maxstream for converting the USB port to a virtual COM PORT. What is a way to figure out the COM PORT number on a Windows CE device? For a PC, I can see the COM PORT in the device manager but I do not know how to find this in Windows CE. . Also, I have tried using "VISA Find resource" function ..it works on a PC but I do not get anything in the Win CE device.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Is there a way to verify that the Maxstream driver successfully provides you with this virtual COM port? Essentially, what I mean is that if you did not have LabVIEW on this device, how does Maxstream prove that their driver is functional? Does it come with additional software that would be used to configure the USB RF modem? In any case, we would want to try opening any terminal program (like the hyperterminal) to determine what ports are listed for communication. I hope this is useful for you. Thinkpad Yoga und Onelink Dock Basic - große Probleme mit USB Maus

Hallo zusammen,
wenn mein Yoga an der Dock angeschlossen ist, springt der Mauszeiger teilweise auf dem Bildschirm hin und her. Es werden auch Klicks ausgelöst.
Dieses Verhalten tritt auf, wenn die Maus über das Dock oder direkt (Yoga weiter am Dock für Bildschirm und Tastatur) am Yoga angeschlossen ist.
Mir ist weiter aufgefallen, dass dieses Problem verstärkt auftritt wenn das Notebook unter Last ist z.B. Vierenscan, VMware.
Weiter ist mir noch aufgefallen, dass wenn das über USB betriebene DVD Laufwerk angesprochen und genutzt wird die Probleme sich ebenfalls verstärken.
Kann mir jemand helfen. So ist es recht schwierig mit dem Gerät am Dock zu arbeiten.

Hallo zusammen,
will hier mal ein Update eintragen.
Habe das Gerät nun zum Support (zumindest nennt sich diese katastrophale Einrichtung so) gesendet.
Habe zusätzlich noch angegeben, dass das Tochpad nicht sauber reagiert als zweiter Fehler. Hätte mich so nicht unbedingt gestört - aber wenn es eh eingeschickt werden muss...
Zum ersten hat die Abholung nicht geklappt. Der Fahrer von Ups kam 2,5 Stunden nach der vereinbarten Zeitpsanne. Gut kann passieren.
Gerät eingeschickt. Nach einer Woche telefonisch nachgefragt - Antwort per Mail - kein Fehler gefunden. Sofort Antwort per Mail zurück, ob das Dock mit Ethernet und Bildschirm getestet wurde und nicht nur mit Maus. Der Fehler tritt nur in Kombination auf - das hatte ich aber bei der Störungsmeldung bereits angegeben. Was stellen die sich vor - um eine Maus anzuschließen bauche ich kein Dock !! Darum gebeten, dass mich der Techniker direkt anrufen soll. Das war letzten Freitag.
Heute Anruf von Lenovo. Das Gerät befindet sich vermutlich schon auf dem Rückweg. Mein Hinsweis in den Mails wurde nicht beachtet, der Techniker könne mich auch nicht anrufen da er kein Deutsch spricht !!!!. Die Dame vom Support hat nun nochmal meine Hinweise auf den Anschluss von Ethernet und Bildschirm zusammen mit der Maus aufgenommen und schaut ob Versand noch gestoppt werden kann.....
Das Tochpad sei im übrigen auch in Ordnung - was ich so nicht bestätigen kann.
Das alles bei einem hochpreisigen Laptop für 1500 Euro.
Das schlimme ist - ich komme mir hier irgendwie hilflos vor - was kann man noch tun ?
Sowas hätte ich von Lenovo nie erwartet.
Bind mal gespannt wie es jetzt weiter geht - Das Gerät ist nun schon 1,5 Wochen weg.

Regarding USB v3.0 ports

Whne i connect HSDPA dongal to the USB v3.0 port, while i am working suddenly laptop is stuck then any keys are not working. Only way is press the power button to off the laptop. my laptop is DV6 6051EA and OS is win 7 Home Premium. But dongal is working properly with USB v2.0 port. please help me to resolve this problem.

Hi,
Many USB 3.0 deivices can backward compatible but many USB 2.0 devices may have minor problem with USB 3.0 ports. Just keep the dongle on USB 2.0 port at this stage.

IdeaPad N581 USB 3.0 Treiber für Windows 8.1

Hallo,
ich habe ein IdeaPad N581 mit Windows 8.1.
Bei mir funktioniert leider kein USB 3.0, d.h. ich bekomme nur langsame Übertragungsraten. An meiner Externen und an dem USB Stick kann es nicht liegen, die Geräte funktionieren an anderen PCs mit voller Geschwindigkeit.
Im Gerätemanager habe ich auch zwei Einträge mit gelbem Ausrufezeichen.
Leider ist auf der Lenovo Seite weder Chipset noch USB 3.0 Treiber verfügbar.
Wie kann ich die Treiber nun nachinstallieren?

Gehe zu Lösung.

Ich habe jetzt alles installiert außer Intel Management Engine Interface, Intel WiMax Driver, WLAN Driver (Liteon/Atheros) und Lenovo Power Management.
Der Treiber für den Cardreader hat den Eintrag "USB2.0-CRW" entfernt. Die USB Geschwindigkeit liegt aber weiterhin an den USB3.0 Ports bei maximal 25MB/s.

Ich wollte noch erwähnen, dass die USB Geschwindigkeit vor dem Update von Windows 8 auf 8.1 auch nicht schneller war.

Problem with USB port in HP 15-G009AX

I have a HP 15-G009AX notebook with windows 8.1 (64 bit). Previously all USB ports were working fine when I had the 32 bit version of windows 8.1. After installing the 64 bit version, one of the USB 2.0 ports on the right hand side is not working properly. When I plug in an external HDD, there is no response at all from the system (the HDD light does come on). Also, when I plug in a USB mouse, it gives me an Error 43 ( says "Device decryptor request failed" in Device manager ). I have tried uninstalling all USB devices and restared my laptop several times. My sister has the same laptop which had Windows 8.1 32 bit earlier on which I installed Windows 8.1 64 bit and all the ports are working fine on that. kindly do help me out.

I understand a USB port is not working on your computer, due to a 43 error in Device Manager. This error normally indicates a that the device has failed, for one reason or another. I will see what I can suggest!
If you follow the steps in this Microsoft document, you should be able to fix this error: Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems
If that doesn't help, you may want to reinstall the OS. A problem may have occurred because something went wrong with the installation of Windows 8.1 64-bit.

Problem with digital samples of NI 9425 in windows 7 on usb 3.0 ports

I have a program in C that reads the digital samples of a device 9174 module 9425 in windows 7 x64 which has no problems with the USB 2.0 ports but with the 3.0.
When I connect the device to a USB 3.0 port errors in the samples appear, are activated or deactivated lines uncontrollably.
The PC is Artigo A1250, Drivers NI-DAQmx9.6

Sylvia is correct -- the 9174 has been thoroughly tested on the USB 2.0 standard. But we still expect it to communicate properly with USB 3.0 ports. We have seen a few cases in which specific host controllers cause unexpected behavior similar to what you describe, but in general, our USB devices are compatible with USB 3.0.
Of course, if sticking with a 2.0 port works for your application, that will be the quickest/simplest recommendation that we can make. If you need to move your cDAQ to a 3.0 port, let us know -- there are some troubleshooting steps we can take to figure out why you're seeing errors.
There are some additional details in this somewhat related article. Upgrading the drivers for your USB Host Controller might be worth a shot.

Portege R835 USB 3.0 port problem (Shutdown everytime)

Hello,
The problem is that the USB 3.0 port continues to turn off shortly after connecting any device (mouse, usb memory, printer...).
The only way to restore it's functionality is to reboot. I have continued to have this problem since I bought the computer.
There is no issue with the 2 USB 2.0 ports.
I have bios 3.0, win 7 64bit home premium.
Few other people have address the same problem here before but I didn't see any solution.
Please Help!

They replaced the usb 3 part in the computer.

I'm not a techie but have had the same problem. called Toshiba had me uninstall the ports and then re-boot as
it would re-set (tech said) the ports. Still the same problem. Told me to send in or reformat and I said that was not acceptable. I bought it from OfficeMax and Toshiba said take it back and OfficeMax would give me a new computer, which they did. Now problem is this thing is sooooo slow as was its predecessor. I have a 4 year old HP that runs circles past this machine.

USB 3.0 port driver problem?

Hello, I have an Acer TimelineU M5-48-TG-6814 ultra book laptop. It has two USB 3.0 ports, but I recently discovered that there is something wrong with the drivers for them, because I can't use USB 3.0 devices at superspeed. I have plugged in 2 devices, and they both operate at USB 2.0 speed. In my device manager, I have several things under universal serial bus controllers: 4 entries for generic USB hub (I think that's my USB 2.0 hub)2 entries for Intel(R) 7 series/C216 chipset family USB enhanced host controller1 entry for Intel(R) USB 3.0 extensible host controller1 entry for Intel(R) USB 3.0 root hub2 entries for USB composite device2 entries for USB root hub I was having problems with my laptop, and recently reinstalled my operating system, with some resulting driver problems ( for some reason it didn't install with like any of the correct drivers, including the ethernet and Wi-Fi drivers, which were a pain in the ass to fix). This may be because the laptop originally came with Windows 7 home premium and I installed Windows 7 professional. But either way, I had to manually install lot of the drivers (I downloaded them from the Acer website), including the 2 entries for USB 3.0 drivers. Anyway, although these USB 3.0 drivers say they are functioning correctly, they aren't. When I plug in my USB 3.0 devices, I can see that they are using the USB 2.0 drivers (I downloaded some software to see this: USBlyzer). I tried disabling the 2 USB 2.0 drivers ( the ones that say enhanced), then plugged in my device and it acted like nothing was plugged in. Also, I'm a little bit confused as to why there is only one USB 3.0 host controller and root hub entry, because I have 2 ports. Anyone have any advice?

Oh also, my hard drive for this laptop failed earlier this year, and I replaced it with a new SSD (the original one was a hybrid). I'm pretty sure the USB 3.0 ports worked before that

Was your notebook originally running Windows 8.1?

From the specifications one of the ports is a USB 2.0 port and the others are USB 3.0. You have probably already checked this, but if you used the one on the right side it is a USB 2.0 port.
USB 3.0 ports (two on left side)

Usb to serial port converter in lenova g560

hi this is madhan. i m using lenova g560 ideapad. there is no serial port in my laptop. For my project i need a serial port. i heard tat in market USB to serial port converters are available. Does Lenova g560 support this change?? If so is there any driver to make support to serial port?????????

If you buy a Serial-USB interface/cable you won't have any problem. Usually this accesory comes with drivers. If you have Windows 7, mayte it will detect all automaticaly.

Grafik-Problem mit E73

Guten Abend,
ich habe ein Problem mit meinem neuen E73 (10DR-001DGE). OS ist W7-64 Professional.
Der Rechner hat eine NVIDIA GT 620 mit je einem VGA- und einem Displayport als Ausgang.
Am VGA-Ausgang betreibe ich einen Samsung 19" mit 1280x1024, am DP über einen DP-HDMI-Adapter einen IIyama 27" mit 1920x1080. Der Parallelbetrieb beider Monitore mit erweiterten Anzeigen klappt, soweit also alles ok.
Ich habe nun eine etwas ältere Rennsimulation installiert (GTR2) und möchte diese über den 27' laufen lassen. Die SW hat eine eigene Konfigurations-SW, in der ich ebenfalls eine Auflösung von 1920x1080 eingestellt habe, Sobald ich die SW starte, passiert folgendes:
1. Monitor 1 (27") wird zu Monitor 2 und die Auflösung wechselt auf 800x600
2. Monitor 2 wird zu Monitor 1, die Auflösung bleibt bei 1280*1040
Beende ich das Spiel und komme zurück zum Desktop, ist die Auflösung wieder normal und beide Monitore haben wieder die richtige Nummer, also 27" als No. 1, 19" als No. 2.
Um Fehler am Monitor auszuschließen habe ich folgende Tests durchgeführt:
1. einen anderen PC mit ebenfalls W7, allerdings 32-bit Home Premium mit der gleichen SW getestet. (NVIDIA GT 210 als GK). Dieses läuft am gleichen Monitor problemlos in 1920x1080, allerdings über eine DVI-D zu DVI-D Verkabelung, da der alte Rechner keinen Display-Port hat.
2. Ein noch älterer PC mit XP liefert auch am VGA-Anschluss die volle Auflösung mit dem Spiel.
Also scheint der Monitor zu funktioneren.
Um Fehler am Dual-Monitor-Betrieb auszuschließen habe ich folgende Tests ausgeführt:
3. Wenn ich das VGA-Kabel am 19" abnehme, wird naturgemäß nur noch der 27" erkannt. Dann läuft das Spiel in der gewünschten Auflösung. Es scheint also so zu sein, dass es Probleme im Dual-Monitor-Betrieb gibt.
4. Obwohl im Dual-Monitor-Betrieb der 27" als Hauptbildschirm eingestellt ist, wird beim Booten der Startbildschirm "Lenovo" und auch der Startbildschirm mit dem Windows-Logo auf dem 19" angezeigt. Erst wenn die Desktop-Anzeigen kommen ("Bitte warten", "Willkommen" und dann der eigentliche Bildschirm, wechselt die Anzeige auf den 27".
Es könnte also ein Problem beim Dual-Monitot-Betrieb vorliegen
Ich würde mich sehr freuen, wenn mir jemand dabei helfen könnte, dieses Problem in den Griff zu bekommen.

Ist dies der Fall es nur in Regular Boot, dann könnte es einige Hardware-Problem wie Grafikkarte, (Quartz wird im abgesicherten Modus eingeschaltet), oder Flughafen oder eine USB-oder Firewire-Gerät oder 3rd-Party-Add-on sein, Check System Preferences > Accounts> Login Items Fenster, um zu sehen, wenn sie oder etwas Relevantes aufgeführt ist.
Überprüfen Sie die Systemeinstellungen> Andere Row, für 3rd-Party Pref Panes.
Auch in diese aussehen, wenn es sie gibt, sind einige unsichtbar ...

Kaputtes Schanier nach nur 6 1/2 Monaten bei ideapad n581

Hallo,
Ich bin richtig enttäuscht von der Qualität meines Lenovo Ideapad N581. Ich habe den Laptop Mitte Mai 2013 gekauft. Ende November 2013 ist das rechte Schanier beim aufklappen des Laptops gebrochen. Ich habe den Schaden dann bei der Hotline gemeldet und der Mitarbeiter meinte noch zu mir, dass die Reparatur auf Garantie eigentlich kein Problem sein dürfte. Ich solle mir überlegen, wann ich den Laptop einschicken wöllte, da vor Weihnachten und zwischen den Jahren der Laptop bei Lenovo nur rumliegen würde. Ich habe mich dazu entschlossen den Laptop dann erst im neuen Jahr loszuschicken, dass ich über die Weihnachtstage den Laptop noch nutzen konnte.
Gestern habe ich dann einen Brief von Medion (ich habe mich bewusst bei dem Kauf für einen teureren Lenovo entschieden, da ich überzeugt war ein Markenprodukt zu kaufen und kein Produkt, welches von diversen Discountern vertrieben wird...) bekommen. Darin wurde mir mitgeteilt, dass ich für die Reparatur des Laptops 125€ zahlen müsste, da das Gerät unsachgemäß behandelt worden ist. Ich bin pflegeleicht in den 6 1/2 Monaten mit dem Gerät umgegangen, habe ihn auf einem Tisch stehen gehabt und ab und zu auf und wieder zugeklappt und in einer sicheren Tasche von dem einen Schreibtisch zum nächsten transportiert. Ich würde es eine normale Nutzung bezeichnen.
Ich finde es eine ware Frechheit von Lenovo bzw. Medion, dass mir unterstellt wird, dass wenn ein Produkt nach knapp einem halben Jahr kaputt geht, dass das ich das Produkt unsachgemäß behandelt haben soll. Aber wenn man im Internet sucht findet man einige ähnliche Berichte von Kunden von Lenovo bzw. Medion die das gleiche erlebt haben.
Des Weiteren finde ich es eine Frechheit die Kosten der Kundenhotline von Medion 1,29€ pro Minute aus dem Festnetz!!! das ist in meinen Augen reinste Abzocke...
Deswegen gibt es für mich einmal Lenovo/ Medion und nie wieder...
