Can you supply us with more information?
What versions of Acrobat Pro and "Acrobat Normal"?
What operating system version are you using?
What kind of error messages are you getting or what exactly is happening when you try to open it?
Is is just one file or all PDFs?

  • Printing problem with Acrobat Pro 10.1

I get an "Insufficient memory" message on my LaserJet printer when trying to print certain PDFs using Acrobat Pro 10.1, but the PDFs are printed without any problem from Acrobat Pro 9 or Preview. Does anybody else have this problem?

Thanks for responding I was using an MS Excel spreadsheet to merge details to produce labels in a programme called NiceLabel Pro.  The information from the spreadsheet was very simple - a readable code number and a QR code.  In the Nice Label document setup you nominate the printer - in my case this was the Adobe PDF printer - to produce a Press Ready quality PDF file.  I tried several times to print this file and each time ended up with page 1.  As the job was urgent and I had a deadline to meet, I ended up installing a programme called Nitro - which also produces PDF - to complete the job, without a problem.  However, I would prefer to stick with my Adobe Acrobat software as the other alternative is limited in its pre-press options.  Hope this information will enable a solution to the problem.
    - Thanks, Lynne
Hi again Dov - have you been able to come up with an answer to my Acrobat problem.  Would like to begin 2015 with workable Acrobat.

Thank you but unfortunately the process does not work. It makes the same thing as before. When I install and enters the serial number, it writes: We are unable to verify the product serial number Creative Suite 6 Design Standard. Please contact Customer Support.
When I deactivated Photoshop and re-activated by the process, everything went without a problem. The problem is only with Acrobat Pro. Acrofix - after running only flashes a command prompt window, otherwise nothing happens. I do not know what to do ....

  • If I install the update to Adobe Reader 10, will that cause problems with Acrobat Pro 9?

Firefox (version 15.0.1) is telling me I need to install an update to Adobe Acrobat 9.4 in order to view pdf files in my browser. I use Acrobat Pro 9. The update is actually Adobe Reader 10, and I am wondering if I install this, will it cause problems with my version of Acrobat Pro?
Because I am not sure if this is so, I have temporarily disabled the plug-in and now pdf files download automatically rather than display in my browser. I would prefer they open in my browser but do not want to upgrade to Acrobat X.
My OS is Windows Vista. I did not include the "troubleshooting information" file because I'm not sure what specific info is being requested.
    Thanks for any help.

  • Printing Problems with Acrobat Pro 9.5 for Mac

I have Acrobat pro 9.5 for Mac.  I'm using a Canon MG8150 multi-function printer.  Everytime I try to print from Arobat Pro I get an error message.  Any suggestions?  I can print my pdfs from Apple Preview; so it's not the document or the printer.

The first problem is probably a permissions issue. Run Repair Permissions from the Disk Utility. For the second see this

  • Problem with Acrobat Pro X trial

Trial screen for acrobat pro x, is blocking access to original adobe. Tried deleting & see no more file & it is still doing it.

    Hi, Thy-God,
Would you mind giving us a bit more information?  That will help us diagnose the problem.
Can you tell us more about the error message you get?
When you say it blocks access to original adobe, would that be an earlier version of Acrobat?
    Thanks,
    Kirsti

  • Problem printing PDF with Acrobat Pro 9.4.4

    Hi!
I can't correctly print a PDF with Acrobat Pro that was created in Indesign CS5.
I want to print it on a letter format (8,5 X 11") and it offers me a format of 8,49 X 10,99". It results in having my document being printed as tile with it's original format 12 X 21,5" as if I didn't adjust the format to be reduced.
I temporary used Preview to print my PDF, but now I can't as the encoding in which I received the PDF used to be "Creo Normalizer JTP" and now it is "Adobe PDF Library 9.9"
    If anyone can help!
This is my first time here, thanks in advance for your help

Here's what it looks like (I work in french, hope you can understand)
I just updated my software, thanks for that!
Now, my problem is still on... I still have the very same result when I print. I did selected the correct Page Scalling I needed. I did selected the paper size I wanted. I chose Shrink to Printable Area and I tried with Fit to Printable Area.
Since I've had this problem the size appears as : 8,49 X 10,99 (Instead of 8,5 X 11). I tried with Legal (8,5 X 14) but it appears as 8,49 X 13,99. I went through the preferences, but I can't find anything that could be the problem.
    Any other idea?
    Thanks!!
Also, Preview was very helpful, as it did print my PDF correctly! I understand it's not the best... but it did the job

    Hi Gary,
I have seen this issue occur with users who have this registry setting missing or have improper permissions.
When you double click the attachment to launch the pdf it is saved and opened from the temporary folder unless saved specifically to a location.
If you dont have the below mentioned registry key or improper permissions then attachments fail to open.
Please  heck if the following reg key exists:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security
    or
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security
    Value Name: OutlookSecureTempFolder
If the value exists, and if the value contains a valid path, Outlook 2010 uses that location for its temporary files.
If the registry value does not exist, or if the value points to an invalid location, Outlook 2010, Outlook 2007, or Outlook 2003 creates a new subdirectory under the Temporary Internet Files directory and then puts the temporary file in the new subdirectory. The name of the new subdirectory is unknown and is randomly generated, depending on your version of Outlook.
    Please check the following key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\Security
Note the location for: OutlookSecureTempFolder key
Check if the same folder exists in the following location and if not create a corresponding folder in the location on C:\Users\<User account name>\Appdata\Local\Software\Microsoft\Windows\......

  • Enterprise mitigation for APSA08-01 with Acrobat Pro 7.0.9

    Hello,
My organization has 30,000+ users with Acrobat Pro 7.0.9, and we are currently in the process of purchasing the upgrade to 8. The problem is that this vulnerability presents an unacceptable risk until that purchase has been made.
Is there an ETA on the release of the patch for 7.0.9?
Is there any way of mitigating these vulnerabilities through the registry? Telling 30,000 people to disable Javascript and Open in Browser is not an option.
    Thanks in advance,
    Mike

Thanks Bill.  Yes, I did let AA7 update after installing.  They first noticed the problem yesterday, but it was the first time they had tried to combine any files since the Reader 9.3 update.  I can only assume the problem is related.  I'll try another update and see if it does anything.
    I appreciate the reply.

  • Problems Installing Acrobat Pro 9.0 after Hard Drive Crashed

I am having to reinstall my Creative Suite CS 5.0 on my MacBook Pro after the replacement SSD crached and I had to reinstall the suite back onto my orginal hard drive. Everything in the Creative Suite installs with no problem except Acrobat Pro 9.0 and Distiller. After it is copied, I open it and after a few seconds I am presenting with the following message...
"Suite Product Activation Needed - Adobe Acrobat was installed as part of a suite. To enable Adobe Acrobat, please start another component of this suite (such as Adobe Photoshop)."
I have tried opening Photoshop first and then opening Acrobat, but I get the same message.
I am at a lose as to what to do.
    Thanks for any help.

    Matthew,
As you stated the CS5 version has a separate disk for Acrobat 9 and a separate serial number for Acrobat 9.  Unfortunately the error message you are seeing is usually seen when launching Acrobat shipped with either CS4 or CS5.5 as the activation of the product is tied to first launching another suite product.  Try removing the Inprogress key from the registry:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Inprogress.
Of course only do this after backing up your registry.
