grazie..

Speriamo in bene. Se qualcuno di noi avesse novità rilevanti veniamoci incontro e aiutiamoci qui.
Buona giornata

I have a problem with my new ipad air 64g with cellular. When I off my ipad for a long period of time ( around 2 hours), my ipad air freeze. Nothing is showing on screen with any button except by pressing reboot (home   on/off button). Anyone out there can help. Thanks.

I have a 64GB iPad Air WiFi+Cellular (Verizon), and I don't see the issues you are describing.  First I would suggest that you update your iPad to the newest iOS update.  If that doesn't help, then you may want to schedule an appointment at an Apple Genius Bar.  If you go this route, I suggest that you let the iPad sleep for long enough for the problem to arise before you go to your appointment.

  • Can I tether my iphone to a wifi only iPad Air?

I can tehter my iPhone to my original iPad which was both wifi and 3G. I am thinking of buying an iPad Air. Could I tether my iPhone to a wifi only iPad Air? Or do I need to buy one with 3/4G capability?

If by tether you mean use your iPad's Wifi only internet connection on your Phone then no.
If by tether you mean use your Phone's cellular internet connection on your Wifi only iPad then yes.
The iPad does not need to be Cellular. If it is a cellular model it can share out its own internet connection, and would be redundant to connect to the phone to get an internet connection if it can already do so on its own through its own cellular connection.
If you want to allow your Wifi only iPad to use your Phone's cellular internet connection  then yes it can be done on a Wifi only iPad.
Basically a cellular iDevice can share its cellular internet connection out to any Wifi device. A Wifi only device cannot share its internet connection.

  • IOS 8.1 Affects WiFi on iPad Air - can't downgrade

    Hello all,
I just got a warranty replacement iPad Air the other day that came with iOS 7.1.2 on it - worked well, but, of course, I was pressured to update to iOS 8.1. After doing so, on a "brand new" iPad (did not restore from backup), I've noticed that all the apps I use to stream video, whether it's cable TV over WiFi (via InstaTV Pro), streaming video from my desktop (via Air Video HD), Netflix, or Amazon Prime, I've noticed a significant amount of stuttering, re-buffering, and other anomalies that didn't occur on iOS 7.x.x. This is about as pristine as an iPad can get - I guess maybe I should not do an in-place upgrade and just do a "clean/tethered install" via iTunes? I was worried of exactly this happening, after prior reports that iOS 8 messed with WiFi.
I'm aware Apple stopped signing iOS 7, so I can't downgrade, but... what gives? Do I need to ask for another replacement iPad and just not upgrade to iOS 8? I've had similar WiFi problems on my iPhone 5s after upgrading as well - my daily routine doesn't change much, so when things that used to work flawlessly now consistently produce errors, I start to wonder.
I'm also super-frustrated because the current vertical integration platform that Apple offers has gotten *more* buggy with the new releases of everything, not less. After the 11th version of iTunes, 5th version of iPad, and 8th major version of iOS, it's simply unacceptable.
I'd appreciate any help you guys can offer - I'm a geek, so if I need to get my hands dirty to fix this, I'd be much obliged
    Thanks so much!

  • Bought my wife an iPad Air, and signed her up to a new Apple ID.  It appears that her ID hijacked my account and I cannot use my Apple ID anymore.  Told it does not exist.

So I am pretty upset with the apparent overwrite of a new Apple ID over my 5 years of using a different account.  Now I cannot locate my old Apple ID and all my old info is now usurped by my wife's new Apple ID.
I have had my iPhone, iPad, my wife's iPhone and my daughter's iPod on my account for quite awhile.  Thought it would be a smart move to sign my wife up to her own account with a new iPad Air.  As she started using it she noticed that all my music, contacts and info was on her new iPad.  At the same time my iPad kicked me out of a program I was in while telling me I needed to sign back in (to my old account ID).  Apple ID no longer recognizes my old account and I have no idea how this process even started as it seemed harmless enough and simple enough to set up.  I am highly frustrated and welcome any attempt to help me out of this conundrum.

I can understand how that would be frustrating. If you created a brand new Apple ID for her, your Apple ID should not have been affected any more than anyone else's. They are as separate from one another as your Apple ID is from mine.
Since you just bought your MacBook Air, you can certainly contact AppleCare for this, and I encourage you to do so. They will straighten it out.
Until then, if you want to troubleshoot this on your own, sign in to your Apple ID here:
    https://appleid.apple.com/
Click the blue "Manage your Apple ID" button. If it says it no longer exists or gives you other hassles, it's probably not worth your effort to pursue. Have Apple fix it.
Contact Apple starting with this link - never Google it: http://www.apple.com/support/
    Navigate the pages as follows:
Under "Contact Us" click the blue "Contact Support" link
Click the blue "Get Started" button
    Click "More Products & Services"
    Click "Apple ID"
Click "iTunes Store, App Store or Mac App Store"
Continue with the appropriate options and choose the contact method most convenient for you.

  • Multiple problems with touchscreen on iPad Air

I bought an iPad Air right when it came out last year, and it has started to give me problems with the touchscreen. These problems don't happen all the time, just enough to be annoying - but not enough that I can discern any pattern. So I can't figure out why this might be happening. I know that if I take it to the Apple Store to show them, everything will work perfectly - like when you take your car to the mechanic and it won't make that weird sound.
So I videoed some of them. There are four specific problems.
First, sometimes I can't slide to get to my passcode screen (apologies for the cardinal sin of a vertical video - half the time when I go for my phone and start filming the problem it own't do it again, so I hurried): http://youtu.be/LvFH6intO_8
Next, when using the keyboard, sometimes pressing one key (like Shift or Delete) will cause other keys to depress: http://youtu.be/HzqYSXJkP_s
Today, I couldn't get the multi-touch gesture -- the one to close the app and return to the home screen -- to work: http://youtu.be/bPmku7XEE2I
I've also had problems when trying to change the screen brightness. Note that the AirDrop menu keeps popping up, even though I'm only touching the brightness slider: http://youtu.be/7jBszQJQjpE
I've tried resetting the iPad, cleaning the screen, ensuring my hands are clean, etc. Nothing seems to work, but after a while it'll just go back to normal operation (you can see that in the second video, I press the Home button and reopen Twitter and after that the multi-touch gesture works).
    Anyone else having this problem?

If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore.  Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset.  It could take well over an hour!  Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync.  From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab.  Follow the on-screen directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup.  You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod.  Again, say "yes."
At the end of the basic Restore, you will be asked if you wish to sync the iPad/iPod.  As before, say "yes."  Note that that sync selection will disappear and the Restore will end if you do not respond within a reasonable time.  If that happens, only the apps that are part of the IOS will appear on your device.  Corrective action is simple -  choose manual "Sync" from the bottom right of iTunes.
If you're unable to do the Restore, go into Recovery Mode per the instructions here.  Also, if you have IOS-7, read this.

  • Problem touchscreen while charging Ipad air

Hi, i've got a new Ipad air, and I encountered the following problem: while charging (original powercord plugged in), the touchscreen doesn't respond well, if at all. Can't unlock it by sliding, and when I plug it in while unlocked, it responds everywhere but where I touch it. When I'm trying to type something, for instance, I touch one letter, and several other "keys" respond.
This happens when plugged in, and lying in the table. When I pick up the -still plugged in- Ipad, and type or swipe with the other hand, it responds as usual.
Does anyone know what might be causing this, and is it something I should take it back to my reseller for?

Suggest you restore to Factory Settings and see if the problem still exist.

  • Slow wifi on iPad Air after converting to iOS8

I am experiencing painfully slow wifi response on my iPad Air after converting to iOS8.  I tried disabling the WiFi Networking setting under System Services and even did a "Reset Network Settings".  All to no avail.

I changed the DNS settings on the iPad Air Wi-Fi settings to Google DNS 8.8.8.8
It helped but this morning I've noticed Safari webpage not opening...
    Worth a try,video see here: http://youtu.be/XYeYLUn9nj0

  • I want to change Ipad Air wifi to Ipad Air wifi Cellular.

I have bought Ipad Air wifi but now I want Ipad Air Wifi + Cellular.. could I just go and ask to do it at Reception and Pay Extra money for it...?

If you purchased it within the past 14 days and you have the original sales receipt, then that is exactly what you would do. Bring it back for a refund, and then purchase the upgraded iPad.
    Cheers,

  • I am not having problems with wifi but ipad will not accept my password in the secure mode. anyone else having the same problem?

I am having problems with the Ipad accepting my password in the secure mode in Wifi. I can get into wifi when the secure mode is off. This only started when I downloaded the lastest update for the Ipad. Anyone else having the same problems?  I have rebooted the Rotar and still doesn't work.

    I am not.
Which secure mode are you using with your wireless network - WEP or WPA?
Have you tried forgetting this network on your iPad, and/or resetting network settings on your iPad? Both will require rejoining the network and the latter will require rejoining every wi-fi network your iPad has access to when returning within range of the network.

  • So do you need wifi with iPad Air to get internet? Or can I take it on the road and use the internet

    Yes no?

If you don't have a cellular iPad, then yes, you must have a Wifi connection to access the internet.
That said, if you have an iPhone you can create a Wifi hotspot from your iPhone to your iPad.  Data charges do apply, so you'd need to add the service from your cell company.
Or, you can buy a Mifi from a cell carrier as well, which would give you wifi access to your iPad.

  • Can I use Siri on WiFi only Ipad Air?

Hi all... I want to get an IPad.  I am new to Apple, and wanted to know about Siri.  If I get the WiFi only version, and then use it to connect on my home WiFi and tether to my phone sometimes when I am away, will I be able to use Siri while connected to Wifi?

Siri is available in all ipad devices, to switch ON siri all you have to do is to tap hold your Home button for 1-2 sec, and siri will ask--what it can do for you. Yes your siri will be available anytime, whatever way you use your ipad to connect to internet, doesn't matter-wifi or cellular.
