Nella nostra azienda Electrolux Home Products stiamo usando i vostri moduli Field Point tipo FP 110, FP 120 e FP 1000.Il SW che stiamo usando è fornito dalla CANARY LABS e la versione del Field Point è la 3.0. Vi allego la risposta del tecnico della CANARY LABS che ha visionato gli errori e mi ha consigliato di contattarvi.

I only know of the standard stuff on FieldPoint from NI. The Quickstart Guide is good for wiring, and there is HELP>FieldPOINT in LabVIEW itself (you need to make sure the FieldPOINT software option is installed on your computer as it isn't in the default installation of LabVIEW).
After connecting you FP-1000 to an RS-232 COM Port, the next step is to open a new LabVIEW Project and Add New "Targets and Devices...":
From there you can get to the configuration screen:

Hi Everyone,
I have a program that sends information(analog output) to lab windows cvi in the form of a text file or user input.
The program runs on the computers that I have the field point explorer and lab windows cvi installed on. In order to run the program without always installing labwindows/cvi and field point; I wanted to create an executable file that could be load on another computer.
I used the create distribution kit part of labwindows/cvi to do this.After creating the distribution kit, I then installed it
to another computer.
My user interface appears on the screen, when the user clicks on the exe. file, but no data is sent to the field point module. I know that the data is being read from the user and textfile because in it appears in the uir.
The following are some details about the problem:
1. On another computer without labwindows/cvi and field point explorer not installed - no data is sent to field point module
I know this because a current is being read on the current meter connected to field point module.
My questions are the following:
1. What are the possible reasons for the data not being sent to the field point module?
2. Do I still need to create an iak. (Installing Field point Explorer) file stored on any new computer that I install my created distribution kit file too?

1) If you do not install FieldPoint Explorer, the FieldPoint Server is not installed so there is nothing on the target computer that knows how to talk to the FieldPoint system.
2) Yes, you need an IAK file on the target computer. Assuming the settings (i.e. com port#) are identical you can simply include the iak file as part of the distribution.
3) You also need to include as part of your installer the file "fplwmgr.dll". If this file is not installed, your program will not be able to access the FieldPoint Server. Alternatively, this file is installed automatically if FieldPoint Explorer detects LabWindows/CVI or Measurement Studio Development versions on the target computer or if you choose to do a custom FieldPoint Explorer installation and
choose to provide LabWindows/CVI support.

Field Point FP-1000 communication issue - Device found but offline in MAX

Hello,
I am trying to control several field point PLCs in a level tank. They are communicating through a FP-1000 module. I am able to add the devices through a configuration file in MAX. But there is an error saying " The device is offline. Make sure the device is connected and its power is on. " All of the field point PLCs have green light on for both " Power" and "Ready". I am not sure what the issue is here. I am using Labview 2014 and Field Point , VISA drivers are installed. Please see attached pictures for details.

Thanks for your reply. I installed the most updated version for both ones. It turns out the configuration file for FP-1000 bank points to the wrong COM port for the Serial communication. I am able to communicate with the system now. I do have another problem through. I only have excutable labview files and a configuration file for the control system that I am working with. The original VI project file were lost. After importing the right configuration file in MAX, I installed the excutables and tried to run it. There is no response at all.The labview only last a few seconds and stopped. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I have problem in transfeering data using field point via tcp

I am reading the values from the filed point, which is connected, to the RT controller and transferring the values to the client PC via TCP at a specified acquisition rate.
 Case1 when the acquisition rate is 0.1 minutes I get the values from the controller correctly i.e. 5v, 5v, and the chart shows no change. The timed out of the TCP read is default value i.e. is 250ms
 But when I change the acquisition rate to .5 minutes I get the values as 5v, 0v, 5v, and 0v. The time out of the TCP read is same as first case. The inputs to the field point are at the constant 5v.
Please tell how to solve the problem so as to see the plot in the chart continuously as inputs for the field points the read
ing are at constant rate of input 5v.

I have a FP-1600 and a FP-AO-200 module, 0-20 ma. When I use Field Point Explorer 3.0.1, I can not command any of the channel output current. The current remains in the lowest value 0.0035 A. What is the problem ?

I noticed that you claimed to be using the module in 0-20mA mode, yet the reading you are seeing is 3.5mA. This is the minimum value (with overranging) when the module is set to 4-20mA mode. My guess is that your module is defaulting back to 4-20mA mode, but your IAK file still thinks the module is in 0-20mA mode. You can verify this by using the find devices button in FieldPoint Explorer and then trying to write to the channel.
To fix this problem, you should use the snapshot feature to change the default power-up mode for that channel.

Comment effacer un startup.exe dans un field point

Je désire effacer le programme startup.exe d'un field point, je posséde labview 6.1 et field point explorer 3.0.2. Il est possible e le faire en démontant le FP , enlever la carte mémoire flash et la formater. Ensuite il faut tout réinstaller ce qui est laborieux.

Oui j'ai essayé la simplicité avant le formatage. Je sais qu'il existe un Vi sous labview 7 qui gére ce cas, je me renseigne pour avoir le même en 6.1

Configurar un nuevo field point

Saludos, he adquirido un nuevo cFP-2020, este obviamente viene sin ninguna configuracion ni software. Mi problema es, que aunque el cFP2020 debe de tener una IP de 00.00.00.00 en el MAX no se aprecia.
Alguien puede indicarme por favor, como configurar este nuevo field point para verlo en el MAX?

Si ya instalaste el software de FieldPoint asgúrate de lo siguiente:
-Si estás conectando el cable directamente a la computadora asegúrate que se trate de un cable cruzado y verifica que esté funcionando correctamente haciendo "ping" a otra computadora con ese cable. Si te estás conectando directamente a la red utiliza un cable "straight".
-Verifica que el Firewall esté desactivado en el host.
-Posteriormente verifica el status tanto de los leds del controlador y de acuerdo al patrón de parpadeo en los mismos (si es que lo hay). Tras haber verificado el patrón identifica a que status corresponde de acuerdo al apéndice A del manual.

-Si el status es 1 (el controlador está desconfigurado o con el switch de RESET IP en la posición "ON") probablemente esté desconfigurado. Si este es el caso cambia la posición del switch RESET IP a "ON", presiona el botón RESET, posteriormente apaga y enciende el controlador y regresa el witch IP a "OFF".
-Si este no es el caso probablemente, tienes la version 4.2 de MAX probablemente el problema radique en la version que tienes de MAX, para lo cual necesitas descargar la version más reciente de los drivers de FieldPoint que te instale la version más reciente de MAX, o en su defecto utilizar el parche citado en el siguiente documento:

Can FTP-access to field point log file interrupt the running program?
We have a problem where our factory process control program on a Field Pointer suddenly stops the process. We are running the development system on a PC, wich deploys the program on the Field point, with user interface on the PC. Quite often the process stops for no apparent reason. I'm not sure right now if the control program on the Field Point is still running or if it stops. We use FTP from a distant PC (over VPN) directly to the Field Point to check if the process is running, by looking for date and size of log files produced during running process. I've never opened och copied any log file during process run, because this I'm sure this would cause problems for new log entries to be written. But can the mere looking at the log folder via XP-pros ftp-functionality cause the Field Point to have problems writing data to a log file?
I'm not sure how windows XP pro handles "my network places" when it comes to FTP, it look that it keeps some kind of local copy of the folders, or at least the files opened.
Next version of the program will have only basic functionality on the Field Point, leaving logging etc. to another program on the PC, but right now we are stuck with this system.

We use Crystal Reports X to run reports on an Access database with a significant number of rtf memo fields. We use Total Access Memo to allow extended use of rtf within Access as our users require the additional formatting capabilities that this offers.
However, there are considerable problems displaying items like bullet points, tables and hyperlinks in the Crystal Viewer with tables in particular coming out in a real mess with all entries in the table being displayed in a list with a small square marking each cell at the end of each line.
Curiously, if you preview the report in the full version of Crystal X, it appears a bit better with the hyperlinks still underlined (bullet points still vanish) and rows in rtf tables are at least presented as a row even if the columns are not ordered and mixed (with no bounding cells visible).
Firstly, is this disparity of end result between full Crystal X Print Preview and the Crystal X Viewer fixable?
Secondly, is the limited handling of rtf tags likely to be solved in the next release of Crystal?

If I caught you correctly, you want to display data in Adobe forms in form of tabel, right?
So, follow the steps:
1. Insert one sub form on your adobe form.
2. Set its type as "flow content" in object->subform property.
3. Set flow direction as "Table".
4. Insert another subform inside this subform.
5. set its type as "flow content" and flow direction as "Table row".
6. Now, choose binding tab, and there check "repeat subform for each Data item check box" and specify min. count for your rows.
7. Now, insert your column fields inside this sub form once.
8. Format its look and feel as you want.
When you run this application, it will show you multiple data as table on Adobe form.

Problem to modify the field "location" in an AP on WCS

Hello everybody,
I have a problem to modify the field "location" in an access point on WCS.
In fact, when i try to modify this field and then apply the modification, i have this error message :
"Error(s): You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:
Error:Global Username and Password are not configured on the associated controller. Please configure username and password on the associated controller before disabling 'Override Global Username Password'."
I made the modification on Chrome and Firefox but I always have the error message.
Nevertheless, i don't have this error message with other access points and other access points are configured without the option "Override Global Username Password".
I'm obliged to make the modification directly in the controller and not in WCS.
The problem is that i want to make the modification directly in WCS.
Could you help me please ?

When i make the modification directly in WCS, i have no problem, it syncs good.
The version of WCS is 7.0.230.0.
The version of the controller is 7.0.240.0 and the field recovery image version is 7.0.112.21.

OIM11 R2 - Problem with custom LOV field

I created UDF LOV field pointing at lookup. I'm able to set value for this field by API. Now I want to show this field at user details form. Following http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E27559_01/admin.1112/e27149/customattr.htm#BABGDEIC I see my field in 'UserVO1'(Data Component - Manage Users) object, but when I select it and choose 'ADF Output Formatted w/Label' (or 'ADF Output Text') only lkv_encoded (key of lookup) is shown, not a lkv_decoded (value of lookup).
Am I doing something wrong or it's not supported in current release?
Did somebody successfully add UDF LOV to user details form?

We can see the correct values (lkv_decoded) in the Create and Modify Page, but not in the Manage Users.

Problem in Startup 10g DB

i m facing a little problem in startup 10g DB i m using 10g DB on Windows 2000 Professional operating system
when i start data base from enterprize manager i log on SYS user then i select Startup then i feed some parameter like
1) Host Credentials
Specify the OS user name and password to login to target database machine
i feed there operating system user name & passowrd
then
2)Specify the credentials for the target database.
To use OS authentication, leave the user name and password fields blank.*
i enter sys user and his password

Connect As SYSOPER
when i pressed OK button then ii face that error

RemoteOperationException: ERROR: Wrong password for user
but my both password operatin system & sys password are correct
any one have any idea what is problem & how can i slove my problem

From control panel go to
1. Administrative tool---local security policy---local security settings
2.From the local security settings windows: local policies---user rights assignment
3.double click "log on as a batch job, add the administrative user you want to assign on the OEM.

In the driver of field point i have a problem configuration range, channel
configuration coerce the setting of analog input channel (speed) at the
default value, but for my best read measure i setting this item of the minum
resolution.
I have quadrature encoder with 2500 ppt resolution, i have a problem also
with position control, how is possible to set the count in radiant angle?

The first problem is the FP explorer in the channel configuration ,
accepted the range indicated in analog channel of the encoder channel,but
when i restart the computer it set the default value.
The encoder is a 2500 point/tour quadrature tipe differential.
I think the analog input of this channel is a speed read.
the problem of position is by if the read channel position shown a position
at 0-65536 and in the other side is 65536-0, where is a correct method for
display the position for one tour and know the angle?

Installer promblem lv8 and field point

I have the professional version of labVIEW 8. I installed it and couldn't find the fieldpoint vi's. I moved them over from my old labVIEW 7.1. Copy the FieldPoint folder into your Program Files\National Instruments\LabVIEW 7x\vi.lib folder.
Copy the fpConfiguration.mnu, fpOptomux.mnu, fpPublish.mnu, and fpRT.mnu files into your LabVIEW 7x\vi.lib\addons folder.
Copy the ExpresFP.mnu file into your LabVIEW 7x\menus\default\Express folder.
I don't have the fpPublish or the fpRT mnu files, or the ExpresFP.mnu files
I have renamed all of my old versions of labVIEW (ie. oldlabview7.1). I have uninstalled the fieldpoint 4.1 through the windows control panel and downloaded the field point 4.1 zip and reinstalled it. There seems to be no support files for labVIEW 8. After doing this, the above files are not anywhere on my computer. Also, when I go to create an installer, under the additional installers there is no field point choice.

The example shows the box checked for fieldpoint "5", is there such a thing?
When I get everything working, a question about the iak file. I know that it needs to be put on the target computer in the same place the vi will look for it. If it is something like C:/myapp.iak, is there a way that the installer could put it there so it wouldn't have to be done manually from the app/install cd?
