Servizio eccellente all'altezza della politica apple.
Posseggo attualmente 1 iMac 27, 1 iMac 21, 2 ipad, 1 iphone 6, 1 Macbook air, 1 macbook pro (quello inquisito), 1 time capsule e vari airport express.

Sino a qualche mese fa....
E poi....
Apple... VERGOGNA!

  • Graphic problem in 13'' macbook pro late 2011

I have problem with my 13'' i7 macbook pro (late 2011) . for instance when i swipe up/down with 4 fingers, my apps or docs minimize So logy and slowly as well as when i want full screen my browser or other application, it do it very bad with some vibration and i dont know what do i have to do?
is this problem for my graphic card or is for Lion ios?
as the matter of fact , i bough this mac 2 months ago.
Im wondering if someone can help me in this regard!

Since it is less than a year old call AppleCare: 800-SOS-APPL (in the US).
Have your Mac's serial number ready: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1349
After you wait on hold for a very long time they ask you some frustratingly basic questions like is it charged and did you spill water on it etc., they will talk you through some basic troubleshooting such as an SMC reset. In the end they will offer to schedule an appointment at a Genius Bar where they will fix whatever is wrong. It won't cost you anything (unless you spilled water on it etc).
You can do all this yourself:
    SMC reset:
Resetting the SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own
    Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer.
    Genius Bar Reservations:
    http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/
You can test the hardware yourself also, if it reports something wrong tell them what it is.

  • HT1379 Problem with my Macbook Pro 13" 2011 usb port.

I cant get my usb port (closest to the shift key) to recognise anything. I had my external hard drive connected to the port and was transfering files at the time when my usb harddrive fell and became disconnected. I got the error on my screen that i was suppose to unmount the drive. My external hard drive still works fine and no corrupt files (Thank God) but my usb port doenst work at all. It powers up my external usb drive but does not show up on the desktop or in disk utility. I tried resetting the PRAM and SMC to no avail. I also did the hardware test on startup (Shift + D) with no issues what so ever on the extended test. Macbook Pro 8,1
    Please help.

If your MacBook is still under warranty, I suggest a trip to an Apple store/Genius Bar if that is possible.
You can try the Apple Hardware test, but it doesn't always pick up every problem:

  • Problems with 15" MacBook Pro (Sept 2011)

    Hi,
I have had problems with my 15" MacBook Pro for several months which have worsened since upgrading to Yosemite (10.10.2). In October 2014 it was returned to an Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP)  under AppleCare due to video problems, i.e.lines no screen, blank screen plus shutting down unexpectedly with kernel panics. The AASP replaced the logic board and I had the RAM upgraded from 4MB to 8MB. It caused me no further problems until January 2015, when
the the same problems started again, i.e.lines across the screen, blacked out screen and restarts and shut downs with the dreaded kernel panics at least once or twice per day, plus the fans now often run at full speed evening if I'm just browsing the web. The restart/shutdowns occur spontaneously. As a Mac user since 1992, I believe that the new logic board fitted in October 2014 is faulty and should be returned to an AASP for checking. I am over 160 miles round trip from where I live, and being disabled due to MS, I can no longer tolerate driving or being driven this distance as I'm 74 years old and have chronic chest problems also.
I have spoken to the AASP who fitted the logic board in 2014 and they have agreed that it's possible that my logic board is faulty again and it should be returned to them under the MacBook Pro Repair Extension Programme see below copied from Apple's website:
Apple has determined that a small percentage of MacBook Pro systems may exhibit distorted video, no video, or unexpected system restarts. These MacBook Pro systems were sold between February 2011 and December 2013.
Apple or an Apple Authorized Service Provider will repair affected MacBook Pro systems, free of charge. See below for details on affected models and service options.
    Symptoms
An affected MacBook Pro may display one or more of the following symptoms:
Distorted or scrambled video on the computer screen
No video on the computer screen (or external display) even though the computer is on
    Computer restarts unexpectedly
    Products affected
15-inch and 17-inch MacBook Pro models manufactured in 2011
I am currently waiting for a Senior Apple Support Adviser from Apple UK in Cork City to call me on Wednesday 8 April 2015 to agree to have it returned
to the AASP who fitted the new logic board. To be fair Apple UK did offer to do this earlier, as I thought I had resolved the problems by a combination of NVRAM and SMC reset, plus checking my files and components with Disk Utility, TechTool Pro 8 and Disk Warrior not to mention installing OS X 10.10.2 to both external USB 3 drive and Firewire 800 drive, but the problems remain the same. I've also tried as advised on Apple's support area which advises to shut down my Mac, then restart it holding down the D key, which is supposed to test the hardware but nothing happens.
Has any members had similar problems and been able to get Apple UK to have their MacBook Pro (early to late 2011) diagnosed and repaired under the  MacBook Pro Repair Extension Programme ?
    Many thanks,
    Jim

Machine Profile: 15" MacBook Pro Intel Core i7 CPU 2635QM (built September 2011); OS X 10.10.2; 8MB RAM; 500GB HD

Thank you Kappy. I've been to the link you gave and copied part of it to my post. It just seems like despite what the link says, it's quite hard to get Apple UK to act on this once my AppleCare ran out. I was told by Apple Tech Support that I would have to pay a courier to collect my MBP and return it to the AASP at a cost of £36.00, plus a further £36.00 for diagnosis. Being a state pensioner £72.00 is quite a lot for me to pay. This is one of the options on your link, no mention of having to pay for it.
    Mail-in
Call Apple and request a postage paid box to send your MacBook Pro to the local Apple Repair Center.
A technician will run a diagnostic test on your MacBook Pro to verify eligibility.
The repair process takes approximately 5-7 days from the time your MacBook Pro is received at the repair center until it is returned to you.
After it has been serviced, your MacBook Pro will be returned to you by mail.

  • Does anyone have a problem with upgrading Macbook Pro late 2011 hard drive to a SSD?

Hi Guys i am planning of upgrading my hard drive on my Macbook Pro 15" late 2011 for a SSD, does any one have any problems while doing this, i was told in some cases the mac loses the avility to go to sleep and etc, i would appreciate any come that you may have in this subject.
Also can any one recomend a good cheap SSD for my mac, i am looking at the crucial version, it appears to be ok.
    thanks guys

I believe they are up to 2TB in the 2.5" laptop drives.
Do a quick google on the brand & model first to see what the reviews are and failure rates.
    I use Hitachi in mine.
SSD's are also an option for you. These are much faster than the traditional mechanical drives, but also much more expensive & are much smaller in capacity.
Here is a link that gives you some idea of options.

  • MacBook Pro late 2011 screen goes blank and needs shutdown and superdrive spins 3 times before ejecting discs

    Hi everyone,
I have a big problem with my MacBook Pro late 2011, suddenly while working without connecting the charger and it is 100% charged the screen would go black and I would need to hold the power button to shut it down and then power it up again, The second issue is the superdrive whenever I use a disc it spins it for 3 times before ejecting it to me, tried resetting PRAM and tried re-installing mac os x mavericks, but no solution so far and about the superdrive I bought a cleaner disc and tried to insert it, the superdrive would spin it 3 times and ejects it after that. Saw the disk permission solution and tried it once and I think there is a problem with that because this is the second time I try it and it was saying that there were problems.
    Sorry for being long.
    Thanks in advance.

Depending on what you are doing on the computer, how hard you are working the computer, it should not overheat. And if it does it should shut down or get very slow because when it starts to overheat the CPU will be throttled back to a lower Ghz speed and or just shut down so it doesn't cause damage to the CPU. The Kernel Panics are a sign that something else is going on. This could be software or hardware.
If after wiping the drives and reinstall Lion on the SSD if the system is running OK then the drives are fine, IE they are not bad. There is something else corrupting them. Again this could be hardware or software, but I doubt it is heat. And using the MBP ion clamshell mode should not cause overheating or excessive heating of either of the drives.
Have you installed iStat Pro or Menu and kept and eye on the temps? If not install iStat Pro and keep and eye on the temps. I bet they do not get above the 150°- 180°F mark which although hot is not overheating.
Be very careful when calling Apple. Removing the DVD drive and installing a hard drive in that bay could void your warranty. The DVD is not a User Removable part and Apple frowns on doing that. So if you call them do not mention that you have replaced the DVD drive with another HDD.
Honestly I suspect you have a hardware problem. But the only way to know that is to install just Lion and your basic programs and run the system. Leave out any AV type software, if you are running some. If you don't get any kernel panics thenn install some of your other software, one programm at a time. If with just the OS and basic software you get a kernel panic then it is hardware related and needs to be checked out by Apple. If you do that re-install the DVD and the original HDD with just the OS on it before you take it in.

  • What is the problem with 15-inch Macbook Pro model 2011 after connecting to TV with HDMI chord?

Today we connected a 15-inch Macbook Pro model 2011 with HDMI chord to an Insigna Television. We plugged and unplugged couple of times. But recently the macbook pro is having technical issues. The following symptoms are:
    1. Macbook pro turns on and off
    2. The screen stays blue and keeps loading but does not load to the desktop so you can't access to anywhere
    3. The screen sometimes becomes fuzzy and the apple logo that shows before it loads to the desktop is fuzzy
    4. Sometimes fuzzy lines appear on the screen like you see on television when there's a bad signal
    5. The screen stays blue
    6. Sometimes little specks appear on the screen
Only thing we did was turn it off and restart but it still leads to the same symptoms above.
Does anyone have any clue what caused this problem? I am guessing it is due to the connection to the HDMI chord, since we didn't turn the macbook on and off when we plugged it, rather we just unplugged and plugged the chord while the macbook is running.
Another theory might be watching movies from an online source but the first theory seems to make more sense.
We scheduled a meeting with the genius bar tomorrow but does anyone might have any clue? And also any ideas how to fix this? This is an emergency because there are important files on the macbook we didn't back up and we hope the files are safe and we need to use the macbook ASAP. Let us know anything that might have caused this and/or any solutions or help. That would be appreciated and thank you.

Hey there! Welcome to the Discrete GPU issue clube ... post your relate here >>> 2011 MacBook Pro and Discrete Graphics Card
And for GOD SAKE! Call Apple to tell them that you're another user with such problem ...  that action can improve a future recall. BTW the fix price for your problem is around U$ 1000,00 ... that's the meaning of the recall attempt

You have only about 10 percent free drive space left. 50gB is enough to run the computer but, if it gets much smaller, that can slow how Virtual Memory (VM) works as the system has to more carefully search the remaining space for qualified blocks to which to write data.
Adding RAM will reduce the writes-to-disk by VM but you should probably consider a little holiday disk cleaning of stuff you no longer use.
    This concerns me:

That is a LOT of log-in items for a compute with 4GB RAM. Some are hard to avoid but Excel is a big program that can be easily launched from the Dock. I don't know what "Inspiration 8" is but likely the same advice will apply.

  • Macbook pro late 2011 starting problem

I'm running OS Maverics 10.9.3 version on Macbook pro late 2011. Few days ago the OS got much slower than normal system. Then i installed the the new OS but it was good for few hours. Then after few hours it became slower again. Then I changed the HDD and installed the new OS. But I found the same problem again. Then I removed all backup files from the HDD. After removing all items it became to work normally. But after 15/17 days later when i'm trying to turn on the macbook a flashing folder icon appears then i pull down the display for a while. When the lights gone then i turn on again and it works normally. I tried the internet recovery option by pressing the (ctrl+R) button but it takes much time. But nothing happened. What is the problem?

Run Disk Utility>First Aid, Verify and Repair.
If it says the disk cannot be repaired, replace it with a new HDD.
If it says it is good, take out the disk, place it in an enclosure and connect it to the MBP via USB.
If it boots the MBP, then the internal SATA cable is faulty and should be replaced.
    Ciao.
