  • How do I check if I need SAP GUI 7.10 Patch-Level 7?

    Hi,
I have installed SAP GUI 7.10 client.
After restarting the PC, I tried to install the Patch-Level 7 but I got the message:
This SAP Front End Patch cannot be applied. Either this patch is already installed or the components to be patched are not yet installed at all.
My version for the SAPGUI installer is 2008.0.0.187
From Windows, I looked at the version for the installed file saplogon.exe, it is 7100.1.0.1027.
Does anyone know if my SAPGUI would require Patch-Level 7?
    Thanks.
    HY

    Thanks for replying.
This is my SAP logon info, do it looks alright?

    File Name: saplogon.exe
    File Version 7100.1.0.1027

  • Problem in Installing SAP GUI 6.2 Patch 57

    Hi friends,
Currently we have SAP GUI 6.2 version for Windows with Patch level 32. We need to update with Patch level 57. But, we are ending with an error saying SAP GUI front end needs to be installed. Could anyone please help in resolving this problem?
    Thanks,
    Sharmila

    Hi,
We didn't apply SAP setup patch 12 which is a pre-requisite for applying patch level 57. Now it is working fine. Anyway, thank you for your guidance.

  • Installing SAP GUI on 64-bit Windows 7 with 32-bit Office

Until about 6 months ago, 64-bit systems in my environment had 64-bit Office 2010 installed.  That caused some problems with other applications, so I made the decision that, going forward, ALL systems would have 32-bit Office 2010 installed.
Apparently, it's taken 6 months, but I finally have a need to Install SAP GUI 7.20 Patch 6 on a 64-bit Windows 7 system with 32-bit Office 2010.  It turns out, that doesn't work.
    I receive this:
Not all package prerequisits [sic] are fulfilled
Outlook Client extension for the synchronization of SAPoffice calendar with Outlook calendar... No compatible version of Microsoft Outlook found.
I am assuming that since this same installation works on my 32-bit systems, that it is upset about my architecturally-mismatched Office.
Am I correct about the source for this problem?  If so, is there anything I can do to make the GUI work in this environment?

    Hi John,
Actually, there is no mismatch in having 32-bit Office installed on 64-bit Windows.  In fact, this is probably the preferred environment.  SAPGUI in general is much happier with 32-bit Office, especially older patches (by the way, 7.20 is no longer in support -- you should upgrade to 7.30).
The errors you're receiving are most probably related to lingering 64-bit components of Office on your workstation.  We had the same situation in my office a while back, when we first started rolling out 64-bit Windows to a few users, and the PC techs mistakenly thought that meant they had to install 64-bit Office.  That caused lots of problems, since 64-bit Office is incompatible with many things, not just SAPGUI, as you found.  Correcting the error by simply reinstalling Office 32-bit resulting in workstations with some 64-bit and some 32-bit components, and that just made things worse.  Systems where 32-bit Office was installed from the beginning (on 64-bit OS) had no problems at all.
So, what you're probably going to need to do is to uninstall all Office components (including Outlook, Visio, anything like that, not just Word and Excel), and also uninstall your SAPGUI, then reinstall 32-bit Office (with Outlook) from scratch, then reinstall your SAPGUI.  This will probably clear up your problem.

    Matt

  • Error in installing SAP GUI 7.20

    hi,
I am new to this community.
When i installed SAP Gui 720 in user system(win  XP ) i got a error message like "installation completed with 89 errors "
Can anyone help me to resolve the problem.
the same installation is successfully completed in another user system( win XP ).
What will be the problem and how to resolve it ?
    Waiting for your advice.
    Regards,
    Senthil.

try locate the sap setup log, i.e
    %ProgramFiles%\Sap\SAPSetup\Errors
    %ProgramFiles%\Sap\SAPSetup\Logs
for example: C:\Program Files\SAP\SapSetup\LOGs in affected client PC ?
and check if there is any significant errors.
probably it could be .NetFramework issue on client.
You can try to clean remove, and reinstall, with following steps on the affected workstation
and see if it fixed the problem?
    - Remove the current SAPGUI
    - After this, please make sure that the folder
:/program files/SAP/Frontend is properly removed. Otherwise, delete it
    anually.
    - Make sure that no other versions of SAPgui exist on your PC.
    - Remove everything in your recycle bin, then reboot your PC.
    - Clear your recycle bin and reboot your PC first below re-installing
    our SAPgui again.
    - Install GUI 720 and apply the latest patch.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Vincent

  • SAP GUI 7.20 Patch 5 / 6 Problem

    Dear all,
I installed the GUI 7.20 Patch 5 several weeks ago, since then the Transaction DB13 doesnt show the Planning calender.
It says "Determining version data" in the lower left corner and nothing else happens. With the help of SM04 I can cancel the transaction.
After the installation of Patch 6 the Transaction DB13 worked for one time. Since then it shows the same text "Determining version data".
My PC is running Windows 7 SP1, the Internetexplorer 9 is installed. Our SAP System ist a ERP 6 ABAP  System with EHP4 installed.
    Any idea?
    Best Regards
    Peter

  • SAP GUI 7.20 patch 2 and Telephony Issues

Our Call Centers are forced to delete phone numbers via t-code SPHB SAPphone: System Administration and then re-add them using tcode FPHA.  This is the only way to re-enable the phone Pop-Up and the new SAP GUI 7.20 patch 2 is installed.  I am looking for a fix but can't find anyting.

We finally came up with a work around as follows:
The issue with the SAPPhone on Windows 7 is a u201Csecurityu201D issue having UAC enabled. Windows 7 would not let SAP u201CAddu201D the SAPPhone registry key under HKLM\Software\SAP. This resulted in SAP saving the registry entries in the User section of the registry. No problem for the first/setup user but forced each additional  user to re-run the setup.
We included a utility u201Cregini.exeu201D and a configuration file  u201Csapphone.iniu201D  to grant Local Administrators full rights to the SAPPhone registry key structure. This will allow the keys to be created in the common section of the registry available to all users on the workstation.
We have a Customer Message open on this as well.  Microsoft does not recommend deactiviating UAC so once again Microsoft and SAP are not the same sheet of music.  We hope SAP will come out with a long term solution other than deactivationg UAC.

    Hi Bhavik,
I mean are you logged onto your Windows XP system with a domain user or local user?
What exactly are you installing? Usually when installing SAP GUI only, you won't have to create accounts on your domain...
