Problems accessing eLearnings on Mac oSX 10.6.8

Hello,
Does anyone encounter probelms accessing eLearnings on Mac OSX 10.6.8 platform? Tried all 3 browsers - Firefox / Safari / Chrome - (latest versions available) but encounter same problem, getting stuck at "Check System Capability" screen (attach screenshot)
I know SAP says that eLearnings are not compatible with Mac but I can't imagine there is no work around (may be it require tweaking few settings?)

Adobe Reader 9.1.0 Error accessing preferences under Mac OSX 10.5.7

On my Intel iMAC under German Mac OSX 10.5.7 or 10.5.6 I can not open the preferences (in German:Voreinstellungen) of Adobe Reader 9.1.0, I am always getting an error:

Updating or re-installing Adobe Reader does not solve the problem. I can open .pdf documents without any error.

I had already deleted the preference-file, but still the same error.
There is another problem-report (http://forums.adobe.com/message/1771582#1771582), describing the same problem together with printing-problems.
It turns out, that the filesystem on my internal hard drive (which is formatted case sensitive), is the troublemaker, as described in the 1771582 report, because I also can not install Adobe Photoshop CS3 on this iMac (wrong file system).
It's strange, but ADOBE does not seem to support case sensitive formatted Mac OSX hard-drives, this causing trouble with Adobe Reader and Photoshop CS3 Install.
I will re-format the Internal hard-drive (with no case sensitive) later and let you know the result

SMB Share with Access Based Enumeration & Mac OSX 10.8/10.9

I've been working on a bit of a problem related to some SMB Shares on Windows Server 2012 with Access Based Enumeration with Mac OSX 10.8 & 10.9.
Basically, we have one network share that mounts for all of our Students & Faculty on campus. Then, based on which security group the user is inside of in Active Directory, they gain access and visibility to different folders. (Basically, if they are members of the graphic design department, they get access to the Graphic Design's folder). All of that is working fine, no problems. From there we have 3 folders that branch off. We have a Distribution, an Open, and a Dropbox folder.
Distribution is setup as a spot for instructors to have full access, students have read access, They're able to drop files into this locations, to distribute them to their students. This folder is working fine, no problems.
Open is setup with everyone read/write access across the board. This folder is setup for students to share data to each other, work on projects, etc. This folder is working as intended, no problems.
Dropbox is the only folder we're having trouble with, i'm assuming because it's settings are the most complex out of the three. The purpose of the drop box is for students to have read/write control over their own content, but not others, and instructors to have read/write over this entire folder.
Now that I've laid out our Setup, the problem we've encountered, is ONLY occurring inside of the Dropbox folder. When I try to Drag/Drop OR Copy/Paste from another location on the computer into the Dropbox folder, I get a permission error. HOWEVER, if I have a file open, and I click "save as" browse to the dropbox folder, I can save the file into that location without any trouble. Also, on our windows computers, with the same exact users, drag/drop & Copy/Paste work normally.
Things I've Tried:
Disabling the .DS_Store - I figured in the drop box, the .DS_Store would be created by the first user who copied a file in, then subsequent users would not have access to the .DS_Store.
CIFS/SMB1 - I've read that SMB2 can cause some trouble while connecting to SMB Shares, so I tried both connecting via CIFS, and also by forcing back to SMB1, with no fix.
Am I missing something with this? I've read a lot about people having trouble connecting to SMB Shares, but for us it had not been a problem up until this point. Does anyone know what a possible fix might be for this? I'm sifting through internet searches right now, trying to find a solution, however MOST of the responses I see are regarding the two things I've already tried.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Continual problems with AAM/CC6 (Mac OSX)

I have been struggling for weeks trying to get AAM/CC6 working correctly (Mac OSX), following your Creative Community forum recommendations/discussion threads. But it just continues to be unreliable and buggy.
Current issues: My (Mac OSX) Application Manager shows that "Acrobat Pro XI" and "Muse" are installed on my system. But both are not installed on my system. When I try and do a manual download/install for Acrobat Pro XI, I get to the "Please Choose the copy of Adobe Acrobat Pro to update." But since it's nowhere on my system, I cannot continue and install. So I have no Acrobat Pro or Muse on my system. How can I get Acrobat Pro and Muse installed, and resolve these endless AAM/CC6 problems?

Problem displaying tabset in mac osx

i'm using WInXP version of JSC 2 to develop a web app.
The tabset i created display perfectly in IE but neither safari, opera nor firefox able to display the tabset in my mac osx.
Is it web app develop by windows version of JSC not compatible to display in mac?

TS1591 having problem with iphone 3g, mac osx 10.5.8, itunes 10.5.3

Problem accessing Skype on Mac OS X V. 10.7.5

Hi, I've been having a problem with my Skype over the past two months. I can't seem to access skype from my home wifi. However, when I use another wifi outside, say at the mall, I am able to access skype. At home, everytime I try to access Skype, there is a pop up message stating to restore windows. Even when I click on restore windows, the pop up screen keeps appearing. Can someone tell me what I can do.
Today, another message popped up:
'There is a problem connecting to the Server “Lion AST Gateway
The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time. Check the server name and IP address, check your network connection and then try again '.
I'm not sure what this means and if this is causing the problems I have with Skype. I hope you will be able to assist me on what to do.

I understand that you are having issues scanning from the ADF, but you can scan from the glass. You can copy from the ADF though. I will certainly do my best to help you.
There isn't any HP Apps that I am aware of the Consumer Laserjet models.
Try scanning from the HP Scan Software, to see if you have the same results.
Scan from OS X v10.7 Lion With the Full Feature HP Software for HP Multifunction Printers.
I would suggest to try the following:
Repair the Disk Permissions on the Mac:
Close all applications.
On the Apple menu bar, click Go, click Applications and then click Utilities.
Double-click Disk Utility.
Highlight your hard drive/partition on the left.
Click Verify and then Repair Disk Permissions.
Restart the computer..
Reset the Printing System:
Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer removed can be re-added later by clicking the plus (+) symbol.
Click the Apple icon and then click System Preferences.
Click Printers & Scanners.
Right-click (or Ctrl +click) in the left white side panel, then click Reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type the correct Name and Password.
Click OK to reset the printing system.
Then click the + sign to add the driver, highlight the printer. (you might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name) Then click on the Add button.
Try scanning from the ADF again.
How is the printer connected? (USB/Ethernet/Wireless)

Problems accessing mail on Mac Mail and Safari

I'm having problems with accessing my email account, both through Mac Mail and Safari. The domain appears to be blocked. I receive the following error message when I click on the alert icon beside my inbox in Mail:
Unable to Connect
There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “***” or try again.
The server returned the error: The server “email domain” cannot be contacted on port 993.
In Safari, I receive a message that it can't find the server when I try the URL.
Both methods of accessing email work on my laptop on the same internet connection, so it appears to be a problem unique to this machine.

Can't access facebook from mac osx

I have reviewed support and found postings with this problem, but have been unable to rectify my problem.
Last night I tried to log in at facebook and was redirected to a webpage that said I was blocked and that
I should contact my network admin. I called my internet provider and they said it was not an issue at their
end, rather it must be something in my security settings. I have not made any changes in my settings.

I found a thread that instructed to go into certificates and delete the facebook certificate, however, I did not
find a facebook certificate. I also saw a thread where someone sadi this can happen when your date

Thanks for assistance. I found the openDNS certificate, but do not know what to do. It shows as trusted. Just not savvy enough in this area to know what should be done. I went to my keychain access and clicked the repair. The repair returned a report showing some permissions were incorrect in my library/keychain acess and the next line shows those mistakes were corrected.
I hoped this corrected the problem, so shut down the computer and then turned back on. But, no...I am still blocked at facebook.
By the way, I do have parental controls but they are not on.

Firefox opens with I access Dashboard on Mac OSX 10.6.4, why?

Every time I open my dashboard screen on my Mac, Firefox starts up and opens two windows, it appears to be trying to open a link automatically. How do I get this to stop? I suspect it might have something to do with the webclip feature on Safari but I don't understand why it prompts firefox to open.

3D Problems in AE CS3 Mac OSX 10.5

I am having a lot of trouble with 3D in After Effects. I cannot get my layers to be 3D, even when I have the 3D option checked on in the timeline. For instance, I'm trying to create a rotating Earth, but instead of it rotating and being a sphere, it's just a flat layer that twists. I don't know what to do. I can't find any good info about this type of thing.
Also, I don't have a 3D axis (you know--the three-dimensional X,Y,Z axis). I don't know if it's my video card or the program itself. I don't know what to do and I'm getting close to scrapping the whole program and trying to find a version for Mac online.

You can do a rotating sphere using any one of several 3rd party apps. To create the effect using the built in effects take an image you want to use for the
globe surface and apply the CC Sphere Effect. You'll find that under Effects>Perspective>CCSphere.
Apply the CC Sphere to the layer, make the layer 3D, change the Transform properties to Auto Orient towards Camera, then apply the followint expressions:
To CC Sphere X rotation:
r = lookAt(position, thisComp.layer("Camera 1").transform.position);
x = r[0] - 180;
value + x
To CC Sphere Y rotation:
r = lookAt(position, thisComp.layer("Camera 1").transform.position);
y = - r[1];
value + y
To CC Sphere Z rotation:
r = lookAt(position, thisComp.layer("Camera 1").transform.position);
z = r[2] +180;
value + z
If you really want to get fancy you can add expressions to light height and direction using a variation of the basic lookAt(position1, position2) language.

How to find and install icon in dock for access to Apple Mac OSX?

Just next to my downloads and document stacks I had an icon Apple Mac OS X icon that when clicked automatically transferred me to Snow Leopard site at Apple. By mistake I removed it from dock but now I can't find this icon to re-install it. I looked in applications folder but not there. Anyone know where I can find it to re-install it in dock?
