Problems accessing itunes store from itunes

I have a new Hewlett Packard laptop which runs on Vista. I can load itunes but when I try to access itunes store from itunes I get the following error message:
itunes cannot connect to the itunes store, make sure your network connection is active and try again. There are no problems with my network connection, can any one advise?
Many thanks.

Just run the network diagnostics and got this result.

Why can't I access the Store from my iTunes on my PC?

You must've blocked cookies. iTunes requires cookies I believe. If you did block it follow these steps:
Go to settings > safari > block cookies > never.

Close iTunes, delete iTunes Library Extras.itdb from your iTunes folder, start iTunes. iTunes should rebuild the file automatically.

  • Accessing US store from non US teritory: instead of disabling ID, Apple should warn us to change country then honor our pass purchases

Apple lately had disabled many its iTunes US stores for accessing the store while they are not in US teritory.  This practice had made its customers unable to access the iTunes iCloud, upgrading the apps both for the apps for the iOS or the software that we purchased for our Mac through the App Store.  In my case, I lost $1000+ of my digital assets suddenly.
Here are my suggestion for Apple for its customer who are accessing US store from Outside US:
AA. "Disalowing New Purchase" With the ability of looking thru IP address when we plan to purchase, Apple should warn any new purchase from US customer who are not in US at the time of new purchases.
BB. "Ask the customer to change country in the setting" then they can purchase any available items for that country.  But still their past purchased should be honored.
I hope Apple give solution instead penalizing suddenly its paying customers.

  • Problems accessing History Store in NW Developer Studio

    Hello All:
This is a problem that I had previously logged as a secondary issue under another problem.  I'm relogging it here in the hopes that the new subject will bring some new eyes (and ideas) to the issue.  May the moderators of the forum indulge me.
When I make a change to the Java code and save the changes, I get errors in the Error Log saying "Problems accessing history store", "Could not open indexed store", "Could not add history", etc. for the Bean file.  All the messages are pointing to the ...\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.resources\.history\.index file.   Is anyone familiar with this issue or how to resolve it?
    Thanks,
    .. Craig

This problem was caused by a SAP service not being active which prevented NWDS from accessing the required directories/files.  The server had been shut down and when it was brought back up, the service (SAPMMC, I think) wasn't started automatically.  Once the service was started, everything worked as expected.

  • I have a new Macbook pro and need to run some Windows software, it appears "Parallel" should work well from what I've have read. Will I have any issues or problems accessing and printing from various printers on my Windows 7 network within Parallel?

I have a new Macbook pro and need to run some Windows software, it appears "Parallel" should work well from what I've have read. Will I have any issues or problems accessing and printing from various printers on my Windows 7 network within Parallel? Is Parallel in fact the best way to go?

First, back up all data immediately, as your boot drive might be failing.
There are a few other possible causes of generalized slow performance that you can rule out easily.
    Reset the System Management Controller.
If you have many image or video files on the Desktop with preview icons, move them to another folder.
If applicable, uncheck all boxes in the iCloud preference pane.
Disconnect all non-essential wired peripherals and remove aftermarket expansion cards, if any.
Check your keychains in Keychain Access for excessively duplicated items.
If you have more than one user account, you must be logged in as an administrator to carry out this step.
Launch the Console application in the same way you launched Activity Monitor. Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left. If you don't see that menu, select
    View ▹ Show Log List
    from the menu bar.
Select the 50 or so most recent entries in the log. Copy them to the Clipboard (command-C). Paste into a reply to this message (command-V). You're looking for entries at the end of the log, not at the beginning.
When posting a log extract, be selective. Don't post more than is requested.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Important: Some personal information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Anonymize before posting. That should be easy to do if your extract is not too long.

  • Problems Accessing iTunes Store

    Hi,
This is the second Friday in a row that I've had problems accessing the iTunes store to rent or buy movies from my aTV.
I can browse and view movie details OK but when I click OK to rent or buy a movie I get the twirling "in progress" thingy with the message "Accessing iTunes Store" but it never gets any further.
    Is anybody else having problems?

Same problem for me, and it didn't happen until I updated to iTunes 8. I've had tons of problems since then, I hope Apple does something about it, they must be aware of the issues, and they're being very slow to resolve it.
I'm getting the forever "Accessing iTunes Store" message with the spinning thing. Nothing ever happens. I have rebooted, but I agree with the comment that it's a very frustrating way to buy or rent a movie.

  • Suddenly, my 1st gen can't access iTunes store.  It sits on "Accessing iTunes Store", with a spinning wheel for days.  I can access the store from my iMac, but not the Apple TV.  Everything is up to date.  What's the deal?

I can't figure out why my 1st gen appletv cannot access the itunes store.  All newer movies are coming up to view and I can watch previews, but when I go to rent, it stays on the spinning wheel with the Accessing iTunes Store forever.  I've left it going for at least 4 or 5 days.  I can rent from my iMac, but all I have is the headphone, analog, 2-channel audio feed and not the true digital surround.  It sounded much better from the appletv.  HELP!

Read a bunch of posts from 2008 and 2010.  The only step I found that I hadn't tried was the ol' plug pull.  After that, I got the first movie I tried renting.  ???  At least it works now.

  • When I try to access the store from iTunes the application stops working

I'm on Windows 7 I've reinstalled iTunes several times.  I can add music manually and play and sync my iPhone and iPad but whenever I try and access the store it crashes.  I've tried all the fixes listed in the community help topics but nothing works.  I am current with my Windows updates and I have the most recent version of iTunes.

    Hi karenfromguelph,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that when you attempt to connect to the iTunes Store you see a blank screen. In this situation there are a few troubleshooting steps that I would recommend. Please work through the steps in the attached article to help resolve this situation.

  • Having problems accessing itunes on Windows 7

Have been trying to access itunes and authorise my computer so that purchases can be transferred from the phone. Is the itunes store currently not available?
OR Is it a problem with my upgrading the laptop to Windows 7. Any idea how to authorise the computer also.

With iTunes open at the top left you should be able to see
File - Edit - View - and so on
Store is the one you will want to select and chose Authorize computer.

  • TS2446 i am still having problems accessing itunes and i have reset the password

    accessing itunes already resett password

What problems are you having ? If you've successfully reset your password then have you tried logging out of your account on your phone by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then logging back in and seeing if that fixes whatever the problem is ?

  • HT1600 Problems accessing iTunes after update?

    Hi,
Just put my Apple TV through the update last night.  After the update, I can no longer access iTunes related functions like ordering movies or tv episodes nor can I access my Purchased items.  I checked my account info and all is well.  I also tried other apps and all is well there too.  I restarted the device but still have the issue.
    Thoughts?

Try logging out and in to your iTunes store account.

  • Discovering someone has accessed app store from my computer..?

    Hi,
I just went on to the apple store to update some programs. When I clicked update, the window asking for my app store password popped up. Usually my email address is already filled in. Only this time there was some one elses email address there. You'll say it's not a problem, all i need to do is replace it. But how come someone else has connected to the app store from my macbook. No one has had access to my macbook, it's password protected. In addition the email address is (...)@mail.ru which is a russian website, everyone I know has nothing to do with Russia and can't speak russian.
Could someone have pirated my computer? What is going on?
    Thanks,
    Pete

  • Serious problems accessing iTunes 10 store and account

It's been 2 days now that I can't access neither my iTunes account nor the store. Each time I try I instantly get this message:
"iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. The network connection was lost.
Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
Needless to say, my network connection is active and I can browse the internet just fine (receive email, use browser, use skype etc.). I also tried all the work-arounds recommended by Apple for Mac OSX users but nothing worked.
Now my default browser is google chrome, so at first I thought this might be for some reason browser related. So I opened safari and for 5 minutes I could navigate through the store with some minor problems (like album art not showing). Then it got to the same error loop.
I've uninstalled completely my anti-virus (sophos) but still got no results. My Macbook is fully updated in all respects.
I currently live in the UK.

    Try using iTunes 9.2.1.
