Problems acessing a webservice
Hello,
I created a web service from a java Bean using the web service cration wizard from netweaver. The deployment is ok, I find my webservice on the web services list in the web services navigator, but when I click on it in order to test it, I got the following exception:
javax.servlet.UnavailableException: javax.naming.CommunicationException: Can't find SerialContextProvider
Does anybody know from wher it comes ?
Thx
Vincent
I have sort of the same problem:
When selecting a service in the WS Navigator the following error occurs:
Invalid Response Code: (503) Service Unavailable. The requested URL was: ......
This happens with all Services, the builtin and my custom one.
Ive read something about "starting a webservice" prior to testing it, is this true? How do i "start" a webservice??
Any hint?

Hi All!
I'm having some problems calling a Webservice. I've created a deployable proxy and a client bean and from this bean I've generated a Webservice. When I test this Webservice the actual webservice call is succesfull but I get the following response from the Webservice:
HTTP/1.1 200 OK

Date: Fri, 13 May 2005 10:26:37 GMT

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<SOAP-ENV:Envelope xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/ ....etc"
As you can see there is some HTML code in the response. This HTML code causes problems for the SAP parser as it expects a SOAP:Envelope and not some HTML junk.
I've looked up what the properties <i>mustunderstand</i> and <i>actor</i> do in a SOAP header and they seem to be optional properties. On the Webservice side the SOAP parser unfortunately seem to think these properties are mandatory.
There's probably two ways to solve this problem. The first way is to ask the guys who host this Webservice to change it are their side. The other option is to add these properties to the SOAP header on the SAP side....which brings me to my question: Is there any way to add these two properties to the SOAP header before the deployable proxy calls the Webservice?Hi Arnouid,
as far as I understand your post, the HTML code is the body of the response.
If it is so, it is not a correct SOAP-message. A SOAP header is inside of the envelope and not outside of it.
So, it is not very a big surprise, that the parser don't like this.
Aside from the form of a SOAP-message, it is not even a XML-message, which must begin with <?xml...

Problem in using webservice in My ADF App
hi ,OTN
I used this tutorial http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/testcontent/wsdc-085537.html to have a webservice in my ADF Application that returns Weather Application.I used Jdeveloper 11g 11.1.1.3.0. by follwing this tutorial I could get the weather Info.but the first time I run my page or the first time I press the button getWeatherBy Name after writing the place there is an error Mesage as follows
System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. ---> System.Exception: Error occured when get webservices record ---> System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: Procedure or function 'GetLatByPlace' expects parameter '@ZipcodeName', which was not supplied. at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlInternalConnection.OnError(SqlException exception, Boolean breakConnection) at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.ThrowExceptionAndWarning() at System.Data.SqlClient.TdsParser.Run(RunBehavior runBehavior, SqlCommand cmdHandler, SqlDataReader dataStream, BulkCopySimpleResultSet bulkCopyHandler, TdsParserStateObject stateObj) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.ConsumeMetaData() at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlDataReader.get_MetaData() at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.FinishExecuteReader(SqlDataReader ds, RunBehavior runBehavior, String resetOptionsString) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReaderTds(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, Boolean async) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReader(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, String method, DbAsyncResult result) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.RunExecuteReader(CommandBehavior cmdBehavior, RunBehavior runBehavior, Boolean returnStream, String method) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior behavior, String method) at System.Data.SqlClient.SqlCommand.ExecuteReader(CommandBehavior behavior) at WeatherService.WeatherForecast.GetLatLonDataByPlaceName(String PlaceName) --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at WeatherService.WeatherForecast.GetLatLonDataByPlaceName(String PlaceName) at WeatherService.WeatherForecast.GetWeatherByPlaceName(String PlaceName) --- End of inner exception stack trac
when I press ok to this error Message.I could write the name of place and got Weather Info,so How can I prevent this error Message that appear every first Time the user call the page of Weather Forecast?
note : in the tutorial I noticed that it explained that there is an error Message will appear ( On the error window click OK. )
Edited by: Miar on Oct 13, 2010 6:03 AMhi,frank
yes,the problem is that he asks about his parameter when the page is rendered for the first time,in the tutorial it prevents calling the web service before having
provided the place Name by making the refresh condition of the iterator #{adfFacesContext.initialRender} , although I did this the web Service is called,How I prevent calling it when i run my page ?
thanks shay,I will try it and tell the result

Problem in Creating WebService Client using 9.0.3 JD...
Hi All,
Thru JDev 9.0.3 webservice,
1. I try to create proxy class and a sample client to access ASP.NET webservice also i get the following error.
<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>500 Internal Server Error</TITLE></HEAD><BODY><H1>500 Internal Server
Error</H1><PRE>Servlet
Then i created a Java Webservice and hosted in the embedded oc4j server. Then i created a sample client. Then also i get same error as
follows.
I user, w2k server, 9i JD 9.0.3, j2sdk 1.4.1.
Whats the probs. 9.0.3 dont support 1.4.1.
2. Also one more thing. When i tried to create proxy for asp.net webservice, (Its a webservice to send email which has 6 methods overloaded),
i get the Proxy Class for ONLY THE LAST METHOD. Rest of the 1st 5 methods are not found. Im able to access this webservice thru axis and thru
.net also. Only when i created proxy thru 9.0.3, i get like this. So, no probs in my webservice. Some probs in 9.0.3 version. It seems that
it does't properly create proxy if Method Overloading is done in the webservice.
3. Also, why the proxy class created in 9.0.3 pass params and returns params as Integer eventhough i used only int in the asp.net webservice
and in my java webservice created thru JDev 9.0.3
Yours,
Sankar.B

http://otn.oracle.com/products/jdev/htdocs/readme_903.html#ws0
(while not exactly your situation, I suspect it is related). We are close to releasing JDeveloper 9.0.4 preview which will support JDK 1.4 and should resolve your problem.
In terms of your second problem, there is a similar bug logged but could I ask you to try again with JDK 1.3.1 to see if a similar issue occurs?
As for your third question, this is the default behaviour for Oracle9iAS Web Services - int gets mapped as Integer. See:
http://otn.oracle.com/docs/products/ias/doc_library/903doc_otn/generic.903/b10004/javaservices.htm#1033406

I am using jdk 6 and it is not any issue with the problem I am facing...
This is what I do...
I have a webservice deployed which is accessible over https.
On server, I run..
- to generate keystoye
keytool -genkey -alias tomcat-sv -dname "CN=<Server Machine Id>, OU=X, O=Y, L=Z, S=XY, C=YZ" -keyalg RSA -keypass changeit -storepass changeit -keystore server.keystore
generate server certificate
keytool -export -alias tomcat-sv -storepass changeit -file server.cer -keystore server.keystore
On client, i run..
To generate client keystore-
keytool -genkey -alias tomcat-cl -dname "CN=<Client Machine Id>, OU=X, O=Y, L=Z, S=XY, C=YZ" -keyalg RSA -keypass changeit -storepass changeit -keystore client.keystore
To generate client certificate -
keytool -export -alias tomcat-cl -storepass changeit -file client.cer -keystore client.keystore
Thne I import server's certificate into client keystore and Client's certificate to server's keystore by
import server's cer to client keystore -
keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias tomcat -file "C:\java\jdk1.6.0_10\bin\server.cer" -keystore client.keystore -keypass changeit -storepass changeit
inport client's cer to server keystore -
keytool -import -v -trustcacerts -alias tomcat -file "C:\jdk1.6.0_06\bin\client.cer" -keystore server.keystore -keypass changeit -storepass changeit
when i try to call webservices through a java client (which is called by a python script), I get error as

This is very urgent and critical.. Many thanks in advance.Hi ejp,
thanks for your reply. I did read your post in other thread that you pointed.
I had searched quite a lot on this issue and had idea that it might be due to firewall settings..
but sadly, I don't know the solution. Well, you have seen the entire code that I wrote and exception too, Could you suggest me a way out? or any specific firewall setting or a workaround?
Please let me know if you need any other info from my side regarding the code.
Thanks a Ton!

Re: Problems Invoking Ebiz Webservice from 11g FMW Server
Hi All,
We need to invoke a Webservice deployed on Ebiz host from 11g FMW Server in our PIP.
I created a simple BPEL process to invoke Ebiz Webservice and deployed the bpel process on 11g Server.
While executing the bpel process Iam getting Null Pointer Exception from Ebiz Webservice.
After checking the logs of Ebiz it was understood that SOA Provider is unable to recognize wsa header tags in the soap message used to invoke Ebiz Webservice.
Error message from logs is "An error occurred for port: AppsWSProvider: oracle.webservices.provider.ProviderException: java.lang.NullPointerException."

Have anyone encountered similar kind of issue?
Regards,
Sunitha.MI'm using Weblogic 7.0.
You must use two jars:
- webserviceclient+ssl.jar, which you can find somewhere in the
weblogic distribution, and
- the jar containing the proxy classes, which is created by the
tool jwsCompile when you compile the webservice (edited with Workshop). For this
latter you may follow the instructions in
http://e-docs.bea.com/workshop/docs70/help/index.html#guide/
tutorial/tutFirstWebServiceIntro.html at step 8
Still, if you happen to understand what my problem is, hints for
me are really welcome. -
Problem With importing webservice model
Hai,
I used webservices to develope a webdynpro project. that web services are in some other server, now the problem is the ipAddress of the system (contains webservice)is changed . My Application is not working after changing the ipaddress.
What is the solution for consistency of webdynpro when the changing of ipaddress of webservices.
regards,Naga,
Dynamic modification of the endpoint of your Webservice model is possible.
You may write the following code exactly before the suitable lines of code which execute the WebService model.
wdContext.current<ModelNode>Element().modelObject()._setEndPoint("<URL>");

Problem Calling a WebService multiple times
Hi Guys,
I am a relatively new user of DS 12.2 doing a proof-of-concept to call an in-house WebService for a batch of customer records - lets say 1000.
The WS has an input schema where it's parameters are within a nested table such that it can be called for many customers in a single call if desired. WS input schema (made-up example)=
-WS
--$REQUEST_SCHEMA **added by DS on import
---CustVerification
src_nr
src_state
I have successfully been able to create a Data-Flow that builds the input-schema such that 1 WS call is made with a nested input of all 1000 customers. This works and the output from the single call is correct (many records relating to the many inputs etc). Input schema =
- <CustVerification>
- <Details>
<src_nr>1234<src_nr />
<src_state>KY</src_state>
</Details>
- <Details>
<src_nr>1234<src_nr />
<src_state>KY</src_state>
</Details>
- <Details>
<src_nr>1234<src_nr />
<src_state>KY</src_state>
</Details>
</CustVerification>
Now the problem - I am wanting to do this flow so that it calls the WS once PER customer i.e. 1 entry in many of the nested CustVerification structures.
I have, again, been able to produce the correct XML schema (at least it looks correct) which repeats the Input Schema for each customer record. HOWEVER, when hooking this up to the function call of the WS as before, I either get only 1 single call like before with the last entry in the file run through it..... or, after playing with the query's input schema to add an extra root level and changing FROM clauses to map to the function call schema I then get a huge ACCESS_VIOLATION dump which mentions "LoadDFXML::put_string()+2427 byte(s)" and other such XML-related but non-helpful messages.
New input schema is:
- <CustVerification>
- <Details>
<src_nr>1234<src_nr />
<src_state>KY</src_state>
</Details>
</CustVerification>
- <CustVerification>
- <Details>
<src_nr>1234<src_nr />
<src_state>KY</src_state>
</Details>
</CustVerification>
- <CustVerification>
- <Details>
<src_nr>1234<src_nr />
<src_state>KY</src_state>
</Details>
</CustVerification>
So.... am I missing something simple in how I call a WS multiple times as opposed to once with multiple inputs? Could this be a setting/property somewhere? IS this linked with how I do a QueryTransform in a certain way to get the function called the right number of times? Anything else??
Thanks for any advice/help.
Flip.Thanks for the responses guys.... I actually got past the error with a change to the NRDM structure (as mentioned in the first reply, I think a small problem here really changes things).
So - what I had to do to get this working properly was to add a new 'dummy' level into the structure - this kept it clean to denote that the 1 large bulk of messages were going to be sent through the WS many times. So - structure looks like this:
Input_Query:
- <ROOT>
- <CustVerification>
- <Details>
<src_nr>1234<src_nr />
<src_state>KY</src_state>
</Details>
</CustVerification>
- <CustVerification>
- <Details>
<src_nr>1234<src_nr />
<src_state>KY</src_state>
</Details>
</CustVerification>
- <CustVerification>
- <Details>
<src_nr>1234<src_nr />
<src_state>KY</src_state>
</Details>
</CustVerification>
</ROOT>
Then, in the Output schema for the function call, I had to create a dummy extra schema level also - say 'WS_Call', and put the function call within this structure. The FROM mapping has to be set so that both the input_query level AND the input_query.root level are mapped to the WS_Call schema.
And then it works!
Summary -- its a bugger.... but playing with the structure levels (and adding your own at times) and FROM clauses can work!
Cheers,
Flip. -
Problem connecting a webservice to a mysql database
Hi,
I am trying to connect a webservice to a mysql database. I am using sun application server 8.1 and Mysql 4.1.
I have been using the application servers examples to achieve my goals thus far. I have made the following progress.
- I have got a simple jdbc web application on the application server to access my mysql database.
- I have got a web service on the application server to work properly, in regards to performing a simple rpc method such as 'sayHello'.
- I now want my webservice to have similar functionality to the jdbc application. A simple query or update to the database installed on the application server invoked from the webservice deployed on the application server.
I have been having difficulty in achieveing this. I don't understand why I can't get this to work as i can achieve access to the database from the jdbc app. I am getting the following errors on the application server log:

I can't think of what the problem may be other then the following issues:
- the mysql database would allow access from the jdbc application as it is seen as a local process whereas it may not for the webservice as it is seen as a remote process???
- I may need to utilize a different datasource class to give the webservice access rights?
Any help or advice in how this problem might be resolved or even just what it is would help me greatly. Thanks for you time in advance.
AlveeHi,
I am trying to connect a webservice to a mysql database.

AlveeI am getting this problem from java nio server to java nio client. I get it intermittently on windows. Have not tried other os's. It almost seems like some kind of race condition as my unit test case was passing for the past few weeks and when i changed some code today, it started failing intermittently with this error.

Problem - Deployment of webservice to ias10.1.2
I'm trying to complete a deployment of webservice from Jdev 10.1.3.1 to ias 10.1.2
The 'test' connection to the application server works good
Deployment errors with:
Exit status of DCM servlet client: -8
Has anyone comments as to what could be the problem here and what to do to fix it ?
Tried looking in the Application server control - the webservice is not listed as deployed
Exit status of DCM servlet client: -8
Should I deploy to ear file and deploy via Application server control instead - Although it would be nice to deploy using Jdev as this is more efficient during development.
Any ideas?
Many thanks
Pete

Problem invoking XI webservice
We have created a webservice on XI that calls the BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETLIST on an R/3 4.6C system. We generated the WSDL using the Integration builder and corrected the URL to point to the webservice (rather than the wizard proposed URL).
We can call the webservice through XMLspy and other tools. But we are not able to use webdynpro to invoke the webservice. We uploaded the webservice on the web application server so we can get to it through a URL.
The problem is that when we use webdynpro and try to link it to a webservice, we can point to the URL which is for the WSDL we uploaded to the webserver. But there is no other field in webdynpro to specify the URL for the webservice endpoint. The endpoint is actually in the WSDL and it seems correct:
http://servername:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:BS_EXTERNALAPP:BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETLIST_WEBSERVICE_SOAP_SENDER;version=3.0;Sender.Service=BS_EXTERNALAPP;Interface=http://xyz.com/xi_demo/BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETLIST_OUTBOUND_SYNC_MI
Through XMLspy we can just point to the WSDL. And then we can just specify the username and password and it runs. But with webdynpro, we are not able to invoke it.
Any ideas what we can do?
Here is the WSDL below:
Thanks,
Jay

To import the WSDL in webdynpro,
In NWDS Create Model -> Import Web Service Model (referring the XI WSDL)
Instantiate the request object and pass the mandatory parameters for request object and call execute method.

Problem invoking XI webservice through webdynpro

</wsdl:definitions>When i try to make the call through Test Data service in Visual composer, i get the error: "Portal request failed (Could not execute Web service operation)". This happens regardless of whether we supply input values for Comp Code and Comp Name.
So Visual composer is reading the WSDL and showing the input parameters correctly. The link for the WSDL needs the same authentication user and pwd as the actual webservice invocation link which is in the WSDL.
So i am not sure why the call is failing because it works easily through XMLspy.

Problem with a Webservice's proxy client re-generation...
Hi all,
I have a problem. I'm trying to re-generate a proxy client for a Web service and, when i'm about to finish WAS server ask me for an user. it shows me a window such as the window it shows when you launch (verify) a web app. standalone. Do i have to have a special permission for re-generate (generate) a proxy client for an enterprise service?. I tried to enter the user that i have in the server...and it doesn't work...please helpThis proxy is based on a .NET Webservice. This Webservice is on a intranet server. When i launch the wsdl in a regular browser...it asks me enter an intranet user... (not was)...but the prompt that the WAS shows me when it is just about to regenerate...is an enter data logon of WAS, When i put my WAS User...doesnt work...ask me again for an user.... that is a bummer that you couldnt simulate my exact problem....
