Problems activating CS6 apps on Windows

I have the exact same problem, but on Windows 7. Premiere has activated, but After Effects and Photoshop keep on asking for login and then a serial number. Pretty annoying since I am paying a subscription and getting hassled with this.

It is possible you have a permission issue from your previous trial installation.  Please complete the following:
Uninstall all Adobe Creative Software using Programs & Features
Run the cleaner tool - CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html
Try the installation again of Creative Suite 6
If you continue to run into difficulties then I would recommend reviewing your installation logs.  You can find details on how to review these at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

  • Is there still problems with cs6 and  hidpi windows laptops?

I consider to buy a windows laptop with a high resolution (3200x1800) but only if i can get photoshop, illustrator and indesign work??

What is it that you are asking? There never was HighDPI support in CS6 on the Windows side and there never will be. Nobody goes back and reworks 3 year old software just because the hardware industry decided that HD monitors are no longer good enough...

  • Problem starting AIR app from windows server 2003

    Hello,
I have an AIR app that I am trying to run using a c#
    webservice under Win 2003.
I am starting the application process (air .exe file) as the
"Network Service" user which has full-rights on the app-folder and
app-working folder. The problem is that once with the applications
the "Adobe AIR Updater.exe" process is starting to (using the same
user N.S.) and both of the processes stop responding.
I have tried to start the process as "Local Service" with
"Desktop Interaction" too but unfortunately with no result.
I must tell you that under XP and Vista it runs perfect...
Is there any security issue related to win 2003 or any way i
can start an air app from command line.
Also i am interested why "Adobe Air Updater.exe" is starting
    ?

Not sure about  copying eulaAccepted file from one location to another - that would really depend on which user account your service is running under.
A better approach (IMHO), is to open the services window (My Computer | <right-click> | Manage, then navigate to Services and expand the tree) so you can see your service on the RHS.
Stop your service, then inspect it's properties, select the 'Log on' tab, then check the checkbox which says "Allow system to interact with desktop". Apply the change, then restart your service.
next time the AIR runtime prompts you to accept the EULA, the window will appear on the screen, so you can click "I accept".
After accepting, reverse the procedure which allowed the service to interact with the desktop, and make sure that you have modified the registry to prevent AIR from updating as mentioned in:
    http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AIR/1.5/air_admin/WS5b3ccc516d4fbf351e63e3 d11c0f59823a-7ff0.html
    You should be all set.

  • Problem running AIR app on windows server 2003

    Hello,
I have an AIR app that I am trying to run from a Java program under Windows 2003. (It runs perfect on XP and Vista.)
The problem is whenever I try to run the AIR app, it runs "Adobe AIR Updater.exe" which causes the app to not run. And both the process stop responding. I can see them both in Task Manager. I disabled the AIR automatic updates using the Settings Manager application but it still runs the Adobe AIR Updater.exe file.
Any help to resolve this problem would be highly appreciated.

  • Problems Getting CS6 Apps To Launch After Install

I have recently installed Adobe CS6 Design and Web Premium on my computer and am not having any luck getting any of the applications to run. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice already, just to see if that would make a difference. When I run Flash Professional, I get an error stating that "The application failed to initialize properly (0xc000001d)". Attempting to launch Photoshop results in "Adobe Photoshop CS6 has encountered a problem". Attempting to launch Dreamweaver doesn't do anything.
I'm running Windows XP SP3 with 3GB of RAM and plenty of hard disk space to spare. Does anyone have any ideas on additional troubleshooting steps that I can take?

Thanks for your feedback. I do realize that my computer is underpowered, and would not put down the money for CS6, knowing that. However, I happened to win a copy of it and thought I would try to get what use out of it I could. It could turn out that I will just have to wait to get usage out of it the next time that I replace my computer.
Unfortunately, the details in event viewer are pretty sparse, but here is the example for Flash Professional:

  • Problems activating CS6 offline

    Hi,
I am trying to install a number of copies of CS6.
All was going well until one laptop didn't want to play ball. I went through the offline activation process, received my Response Code, completed the activation successfully. I then clicked on "Launch" and it just took me back to the activation page. I uninstalled, re-installed using a different WIN Serial Number, and the exact same thing happened.
Any help in this matter would be great. I just hope it hasn't used up multiple licenses.
    Thanks,
    Andy

You need to contact Adobe Support either by chat or via phone when you have serial number and activation issues.

Could you have a look at the following document: http://helpx.adobe.com/content/help/en/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issue s.html

  • Activating CS6 Offline

I have the same exact problem as Problems activating CS6 offline . Stealing the relevant info from his post:
I am trying to install CS6. I went through the offline activation process, received my Response Code, completed the activation successfully. I clicked on "Launch" and it just took me back to the activation page. I rebooted and re-installed and both gave the exact same result.

    http://www.adobe.com/support/chat/ivrchat.html

Here lies the problem... Clicking the links direct you to Contact Customer Care and going through the support tree, the issue isn't addressed. You get to the end of the support tree and it just tells you do click the links that redirect you to the home page for support. Just like the registration problem, I am stuck in a circular loop.

Agreed. I am also going through their "customer service" loop. What a pile of garbage.

  • Encoding problems in email while on Windows Mail app

    Hello.
I have a question concerning email and encoding problems in the Windows Mail App in Windows 8.1.  I have encountered a problem with an email I received, while reading, I see strange ASCII characters in one email.  I have never encountered it in
my web browsers nor Gmail, just the Mail App.
I was referred to come here when I had asked a similar question there:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows8_1-ecoms/strange-foreign-ascii-characters-appearing-in/911f8a44-c302-4fa1-bcaa-3297b32d9120
I don't know which forum to go to so I picked here.
Is there any way that it can be resolved.  I tried to troubleshoot, nothing worked; I even synched, to no avail.
I look forward to a response.
    JB

    Hi JB,
The responder on answers was a bit confused. The MSDN forums are for developers to discuss writing their own apps. We cannot help with problems using Windows or its built-in apps.
If the folks on answers cannot help then you may need to open a support incident. See
http://support.microsoft.com , or the folks on answers may be able to direct you to the specific page for the Windows Mail app.

  • Is anyone running Photoshop CS6 on a Windows Vista 32 bit machine  without problems

Is anyone running Photoshop CS6 on a Windows Vista 32 bit machine  without problems? I have over 400 GB,s  free disc space (c drive) and still am getting lots of errors and program closing problems.  I do not have USB3 on my machine so if I purchased a few 256  GB ssd drives would this help it from crashing?
Thank you in advance for any guidance.

Jack, as Curt has suggested, available drive space comes well down the list regards a happy experience with Photoshop.   You have also asked a self-defeating question, because the fact you are running Vista, and a 32bit version at that, more or less precludes the ability to run without problems.
Windows 7 was billed as the first MS OS to need less system resources than its predecessor.  If your system hardware will support 64bit, then consider paying $90 for an OS upgrade  What is your system out of interest?  I have a feeling you are running with just 2Gb RAM, which just isn’t enough.  Post your specs or make and model, and I am sure you’ll get some help with what your mainboard will handle by way of RAM and whether it will support 64bit.

  • Activated CS6 reverting to trial problem for 2 years

I have had this issue for more than 2 years now and still I can't find a solution. Have worked with support on the phone and they were never able to help. All solutions including WMI etc. failed and I can't see where there was ever a fix. So all the money I paid for this software and I have to enter the serial number every time I use any of CS6 Design and Web Premium software. I use Photoshop continuously so most of the time I just keep it turned on. Does anyone at Adobe have a fix for this? I refuse to upgrade until this is resolved for what I have paid for. This has been played out for several months a few years ago on this thread: Activated CS6 reverting to trial. No update or fix except this idiotic fix Adobe put out: 64-bit products convert to trial on launch or prompts for activation after licensing. Please see if there is anything you can do. Looking for new software.

I have had this same problem since June with CS6 Production Premium on win7 64 bit (installed from DVD on Dell XPS15 laptop). As you state, this is a known problem. It has been with "engineering" for over a month, but that doesn't stop front-line support from having customers waste hours going through troubleshooting that won't work ; though to be fair it looks like your troubleshooting was some of the stuff they tried with me most recently and it looks like your experience of using different admin accounts etc has not long term benefit for the affected user (like my experience). • Haw to active cs6 and lightroom 5 from PC windows to iMac please?

haw to active cs6 and lightroom 5 from PC windows to iMac please?

Licenses in all versions prior to CC are strictly platform specific, either Mac or Windows.
A windows serial number does not work on a Mac and vice-versa., neither do the binaries themselves, of course.`
Not sure if you can still request a platform swap (also knows as a crossgrade), which requires destroying the Windows software and license.
Unfortunately, only Adobe customer service can assist you with your issue. These are user forums; you are not addressing Adobe here.
Click on the link below, and after that click on "Still need Help? Contact us."

When I'm using Safari, ocasionally the menu bar just disappears. I'm running the latest version of Lion and the latest version of Safari. This is not a full screen app problem. I have multiple windows open. This happens all the time! Firefox is fine! What the ****? Please help!

Right, like I'm trying to say, THERE IS NO SAFARI MENU bar. Example: I have multiple applications open, I click on a Photoshop window, the correct menu or title bar or whatever changes. Every other application window I click on brings up the correct "whatever" bar. If I click on the desktop, the "Finder Bar" shows up.
Everythiing else, BUT SAFARI, works the same way since OS X came out.  This is ridiculous.
I'm getting the vibe that Apple is trying to get rid of the finder.... this is the way wrong direction.
