Problems Adding Second MSAD Directory

All,
We are switching Active Directories. Users will be switching from the old directory to the new one of over the next couple of months. I successfully made the change in our development environment (9.2), however, I am having issues in our production environment (9.3.1).
I followed the instructions on how to add a new MSAD in shared services and was able to do this. I also added it to the search order, and then stopped and restarted all Hyperion Services. I am able to find a user in the New AD and add them to our provisioning groups (Native Directory), however, now I cannot refresh shared services through EAS. I keep getting this error:
+Error: 1051502: Analytical Services failed to get roles list for [ESB:Analytic Servers:usnbkb121p:1] from Shared Services Server with Error [LDAP porvider could not be contacted.]+
I also went to the SharedServices_Security.log, and found the following info:

Any help is appreciated.

I am brining this back up to the top. It looks like the error in the Shared Services log has been going on for quite some time, so I don't think that is in issue with this instance.
I opened a ticket with Oracle, but of course, the response was to make that I stopped and restarted all services (like I hadn't already thought of that one).
Any ideas are appreciated.

Problems adding second laptop to network

Hi,
I just bought a Linksys WRT54GS router and followed the setup instructions to get my first laptop up and running wirelessly. I had to use the linksysfix.com site, but everything works great. Now I want to add another laptop. I go to the linksysfix.com site and run the easylink connect and select the option to add another computer. It instructs me to connect the second laptop to the router using a second ethernet cable. The trouble is, I have no internet connection through the cable. Do I need to run the installation disk for the router on this computer too? The second laptop will connect fine to a different LAN.

You should also check your notebook's TCP settings. It may have been set to manual parameters which may not be compatible with your WRT54GS.

Problem adding elements to a group after removing everything...

Hi everyone,
I would really appreciate some help on something. I have a Group that has some Buttons in it. This Group is in one of fours States, and there is a componant for each State. After the user goes through the rest of the program and comes back to this State, I want to remove the old buttons, and add new buttons with new values. Bascially, I want to refresh the componant when it is visited a second time. I have a problem adding new Buttons to the group when the user revisits the componant / state.
The group is created:
          <s:VGroup id="buttons" x="0" y="35" height="400" width="280" />
When the init function for that componant is called, buttons are added from an array of buttons:

When the user moves on to the next State, the buttons are removed:

When the user comes back to the initial state, the buttons are not added to the Group like they are the first time. The output of the trace as each button is added is also different the second time:

Can anyone point me in the right direction? And better question, is there a better way I should be doing this?
Is there a better way to refresh everything within a component upon viewing it s second time?

I'm not sure why you are using addElement() to add the buttons. Aren't you supposed to let the state functionality handle when the buttons should be visible? That's the cleanest way to do it in most cases. You may want to post a larger code sample, where you have boiled down the code into a minimal sample that still enhibits the issue.

Settings won't save Yahoo mail after adding second verification?

My Yahoo email was hacked.   Most of the emails in my Yahoo account were sent a spam mail from my Yahoo account.
As advised, I changed my password and added some extra security - a second verification so no one can login to my account without additional security questions or verification code.
No problem adding email back on my android phone.   But my iPad and I can't figure it out.
I signed out of yahoo mail on iPad.   Deleted the account in settings.   Verified it was gone.
Added the account back in settings, or tried to.   I get the message server unavailable.   It won't save the new password.   It won't trigger second verification.
I went through Safari and I can login to Yahoo mail on Safari.
I am also able to add the account to the yahoo mail app and use it.   But my iPad is constantly asking for the password.
I'm hoping someone else has had a similar problem and solved it.

the problem comes from your second sign-in verification, go to your setting in your yahoo account then go to Edit your account info, then go to Manage your app password a new page come out, go to the Manage your app passwords box and write " my iphone mail" then press generate password, this will give you a long password this password you gonna use it ones in your iphone and ones in your ipad.
then go to your iphone open setting then go to your emails,contacts, calender. Then press yahoo account and go to your yahoo account information, erase the old password and enter the new long password and done.

Having problems adding packages

I downloaded the Solaris (Sparc) companion CD's Dependency Package. It contains 14 or so files that I think should be patches. I run "pkgadd -d . " from my directory where they are and it says their are no packages to add.

I have re-downloaded it like 5 times. I am running Solaris 9 on a Ultra 5. I have not had any problems adding packages before. The packages that I am trying to add are in thier own slice and I have a lot of room on my disks.

I think I am having an ID10T error.
I didn't realize the paths that I was giving it were incorrect.

Problems with spaces in directory or file names and Word.exe

I'm trying to open a file with Word from my java aplication, and I have a problem with some file/directory names.
I have this

Here is what happens:
if path is something like this: "c:\people\info.doc" , there's no problem, Word opens the document, but if path contains blank spaces somewhere, it doesn't work. For example:
path = "c:\Documents and Settings\info.doc"
path = "c:\Hi everybody\info.doc"
path = "c:\tests\test results.doc"
with the above examples it doesn't work :( Word tries to open "c:\Documents", "c:\Hi" or "c:\tests\test".

No, the exec method runs the Word.weird, it shouldn't, and it wouldn't on my system going by the test I just made, but I'm running linux & not windows, maybe the command line parsing is different for some reason.
The problem is that
Word starts and then Word says that it can't open the
file because the name or the path to the file is not
valid.You still should use the overload that takes a String array.

Cannot place order ERROR: "There was a problem adding your product to cart"

Hey guys,
Well, once again Best Buy's online system is preventing me from making an order. It seems like nearly every time I log in I experience some new problem. This time, I'm unable to add anything to my cart. It doesn't matter what item I try to add to my cart or what browser I use or if I clear cookies...it happens every time, on every browser, with every product in the store. The error shows a red & white triangle with a message "There was a problem adding your product to cart".
Just to clarify ahead of time: 1) I have already tried signing in using 4 different browsers (explorer, firefox, chrome, opera) & they all give the same error; 2) Prior to posting here I researched this problem & found out it is somewhat common & has been occurring since at least 2012 on BestBuy.com; 3) Every time someone posts in here about this problem, customer service offers the same "fix" every time - to sign out, clear their browser cache of cookies, shut down the browser, restart the browser, sign back in, etc.... The only problem is, this "solution" has not worked ONE time our of the many times this problem has cropped up in here over the past 3+ years. Why this "solution" keeps getting told to people even though it never works is beyond me. But, there you have it.
Just to clarify: I have already tried this solution, And just like with everyone else before me, it didn't work for me either. So, what's the next step? There must be something else that can be done other than waiting a couple more days for it to magically fix itself (it seems that is the only thing that ever "works"...is to let several days go by and the problem ends up getting fixed in some back-end server-side patch up).
What I'm hoping for from you is a solution that can fix this immediately. This problem has already prevented me from making a couple purchases for items that were temporarily on sale over the past couple days. So, those are lost sales for Best Buy. What I'm hoping to do now is pre-order the Elder Scrolls Online (PS4) in order to take advantage of the $10 pre-order reward. The game releases on Tuesday the 9th. So, in order to get this done in time I need to place the order sometime today (on the 8th).
With all these repeated technical problems making purchasing a chore & wasting my time every single time I want to buy a product it's almost as if Best Buy is telling customers "We don't care if our online system works reliably...go spend your money at Amazon instead". lol

I say almost always because there's one further step you can try: ensure that you have signed out of BestBuy.com, then perform the browser maintenance steps we've recommended. Afterward, before signing in to BestBuy.com, add your desired items to your cart and sign in as part of the checkout process. When the standard steps have not netted a resolution for me, this has solved the problem each time.

I want to use directories for storing and iPhoto for viewing. Is this possible or do I need to have all my photo's in iPhoto??

iPhoto is not a Photo Viewer. It's a Photo Manager and designed for looking after the files while you organise the Photos. It really works much better if you let it manage those files. If you use iPhoto you never go near those files because iPhoto is your start point for anything you want to do with your Photos - the point of the pplication.
You can run iPhoto in Referenced mode, where it does not copy the files to the Library, but I caution you that you are making life a lot more difficult for yourself by doing that.

Problem adding HP J6400 all-in-one printer

We have an HP Officejet J6400 all-in-one printer here at work, and all of our computers have had no problem adding this printer except one: an older iMac, PowerMac 6.1 (with the white domed base). The driver is installed, and the computer sees the driver, but when I click to add it eventually it gives me this error:
"An error occurred while trying to add the selected printer. client-error-not-authorized"
I was on the phone with HP for an hour and they couldn't figure it out on their end. Has anyone had a similar problem, or have a solution?

You have to buy iPhoto from the Mac App Store.

Unknown error: there was a problem getting the status directory!

I followed the instructions on this page :http://deimos.apple.com/rsrc/doc/iTunesUAdministrationGuide/AddingContent/chapte r_12_section_6.html#//apple_ref/doc/uid/AdminGuide-CH22-SW5, and try to upload a file to our university's Itunes U site.
I believe got every step right, but server return a error message: "unknown error: there was a problem getting the status directory". Any suggestion or information will be helpful.

Fnd out when a file is added to a directory

Does anyone know if theres a way to send a signal / cause an event when a file (which could be of any type and any filename), is added to a directory.
Eg When a file is added to the directory 'mynewfiles' I want to send a signal to another process that will copy a version of this to another directory.
Is this possible in Java? Without using polling?

I'm pretty sure there's no alternative to polling, though you can at least poll the "last modified" timestamp before checking the contents.
A signal facility would have to be plugged right into the operating system.

Issue / problem adding audio in Presenter 7 (PowerPoint 2010)

Since I got a new PC (Windows 7), I'm having an issue / problem adding audio in Presenter 7 (PowerPoint 2010).
It doesn’t happen every time, but randomly with many presentations...
In PowerPoint, right after I import audio (through Presenter) and click “ok”, I get the following errors:
Then, I can't get into the "import/sync/edit" mode, from the Presenter tab...
Already tried reinstalling Presenter, resaving new presentations, deleting the .ppcx/audio folders, importing the audio locally (vs from my network drive), etc.
Then sometimes, randomly, it will let me get back in and edit the audio, after numerous attempts…?!? I can't figure out what the pattern is, which is causing this new problem (never had this problem before, w/ my old PC - Win XP / PowerPoint 2003 / Presenter 6 & 7)
Anybody have an idea what the issue could be?

I tried to reproduce this issue but I am not getting any error message. Please provide us following information; this might help to reproduce this issue:-
1) You are seeing this issue in PPT or PPTX
2) You seeing this issue in newly created presentations or its just old presentation which is not working properly.
3) OS and PowerPoint version
4) If this issue is consistent on any particular presentation then please share it.
5) Can we have exact reproducible steps

All new podcasts blank - There was a problem adding "" to iTunes.

All new podcast episodes have a blank name, but the description is there. Clicking the exclamation point next to it yields - There was a problem adding "" to itunes.
This is not just my old subscriptions but new ones as well. The episode actually downloads completely but does not get added to my library.
Anybody have a suggestion how to resolve this?

Cannot create a new MSAD directory in Shared Services...

My Hyperion version is 11.1.1.3 on windows 2003 server.
I;m trying to create an External Authentication provider using "Configure user directories".
I provide all the parameters as I have provided in the development machine in the same network.
However on Clicking Finish the Cursor appears to be doing something and then the screen just remains there. The record is not created for MSAD neither it gives any error.
Shared Services Security Log says error: "Error occured while loading the configuration file"
