Problems adding videos to my SLVR L7

I was wondering how I could get videos to run with my Cingular SLVR L7 itunes. I have converted the files to mpeg4 but still can't get itunes to transfer them to my phone and clicking and dragging directly to the phone just puts the file there and doesn't read it when I check under "videos". Please help I'm going crazy, I've been at this for about 2 weeks. Customer service just keeps telling my to click and drag.

Have you converted the video file that you want to transfer to your iPod into the appropriate format?
Here is a tutorial showing how to use QuickTime 7 Pro to perform the conversion.
Third-party utilities are available that also perform the conversion.

Problem adding Video to Captivate Slide

Hi,
I'm having a problem adding an FLV video file to Captivate. Basically, after I've published to a SWF file, the video doesn't appear on the slide at all. It's just blank.
After researching a bit, I found that the FLV file MUST include *metadata*.
However, I added medatada with VLC Media Player, and it still shows the same behavior. Must it include a certain *amount* of metadata? Is there a *type* of metadata without which the video will not show?
Adobe's Help thread talks about something called the "Flash Video Kit" - is that a stand alone product or an extension of another product? Is it free? Are there any other free alternatives?
I'm just very confused.

I ended up answering my own question. But just in case this helps anyone else, I'm going to post my solution.
Essentially, I just re-created the video in MP4 format. Then I used MetaZ (for Mac) to write Meta Data to the video. Lastly, I imported the video as an object and when I published the video, Captivate transmuted it to the necessary FLV format.
Now the video displays properly.

Problem adding video content

Hi,
I am using Acrobat 8 on Windows XP.
I am trying to link a video that has been uploaded to our server to a page in my PDF that I want to post online. I have tried several different files, but keep getting the same error message: "Cannot create the movie annotation because the movie could not be loaded. This can occur if the file cannot be found or the URL is unreachable."
I have tested the link directly in a browser and it does work.
The file I am trying to link to is a .mov file... could that be the problem? Are there file size limitations?
I am at a loss on trying to get this to work and really need to find a solution. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

I only use the Link tool on the play button, to play the movie.
I need the movie file placed on the page and then when the Play button is clicked, the associated movie would play.
I am using the movie tool to place the movie on the page.
Then the Add Movie dialog appears. This is where you specify the Location of the video.
You should be able to specify the direct path to the server (e.g. http/www.xxxx.com/etc.)
When I do this I get the error message that it can't find the URL (therefore no video is placed on the page), but if I type the link directly in the browser, the video will play, so I know that the link is correct.
Maybe I'm just not getting it?

here's the thing. I'm kind of an anime enthousiast and collector. So this means i have full series/seasons of several anime shows.
Most of the time when i'm adding them to iTunes it works like a charm. But lately I've been having some problems.
If I try to add a batch episodes from a certain show (by dropping them in the "Auto add to iTunes" folder) it will add most of them to iTunes, but will put others in a "not added" folder.
All the files are the same format (.mp4) and have the same names (except for an episode number) I got all the files from the same location so I presume they were all converted with the same settings.
I hope you guys can help.

Problem with adding Videos in itunes

Can someone please please help me!
Ever since i upgraded to the latest version of itunes I started encountering problems/difficulties in adding videos in itunes library. All the videos that I'm trying to upload are in the correct file format (mpeg4/mp4). I tried adding using Add File to Library, Add Folder to library and even Import..nothing happens..no prompt that its uploading. In the end can't add any video.
I tried doing this using my PC and my laptop and i still encounter the same problem so I can say that th problem is not on my computers.
Please help!

Problem adding large video files to library

When I try to add large video files to my library. It doesn't work. No error message or anything. It just doesn't happen. The file I'm trying right now is 2.65 GB. I've had no problem with video files around 400 MB.

What format is the video in? iTunes is unfortunately silent when you try to add a video or song that Quicktime can't decode.

Adding video to webpages

Hi guys
Can you help me out. I have added video to my website (10 mp4
files) and embedded it using the active x function. Now when I test
them on my Mac they work fine. I have checked it on other macs at
work and everything runs great. The vids load quickly and play
fine. But when it comes to PCs nothing works. All you get is what
looks like a broken picture link. My friend says the videos try to
load on his PC but after giving a warning about trying to find the
Active X plugin it crashes his copy of IE6. All the PCs I've tested
it on run IE5 and they don't crash but give the broken pic link.

The mp4 format is relatively new. It's quite possible that a
good number
of machines won't have the proper codec to play it. FWIW, I
looked at
the first four or five. They all played fine in both Firefox
and IE6,
except the third video crashed IE6. I'd suggest you convert
them to
.mpg, or Flash video.

Adding videos to the proper playlists?

This is probably a question that has already been asked and answered, but I've been having trouble finding the answer.
I have successfully added Video Podcasts to my iPod and they show up fine, play, etc.
My question is how do I get them to show up under the Video Podcasts library on the iPod? Right now, they are in the Video Playlists in a playlist I called Video Podcasts.
I haven't had a chance to change over any movies or tv shows yet to see if there would be the same problems.
I've checked in the settings in iTunes, but the options only let me change the video kind to Music Video, Movie, TV Show.
The genre on these videos say podcast.
Does anyone have a clue as to what Im doing wrong here?

Do you have room on the other partition for everything?
Do this to move it to the other partition.
1 - Quit iTunes.
2 - Move the entire iTunes folder to where you want.
3 - Restat iTunes while holding Shift (Windows) or Option (Mac).
4 - iTunes will ask to Create new library or Choose existing library. Select Choose existing library and select the iTunes library where you moved the iTunes folder.
Drag the old iTunes folder to the trash but do NOT empty it yet.
Restart iTunes and make sure it works. If so, empty the trash.

I cannot drop any pictures in iMovie 9 (no problem with video)

I cannot add any pictures in iMovie 9. I have no problem with videos, but when I want to drag and drop pictures, it does not work. (Pictures do not drop..) Does anyone know how to do?

You need to create a play list of songs that you would use for movies - mine is called Music for Movies. Then when you click on the music icon (the first box in the line of 5 in the grey bar across the lower third of the screen) and a drop down menu will appear showing all your play lists. Then simply drag and drop, but make sure that you hover over the video clip that you want to add the music to. If you don't the music will be added to the start of your presentation. You can always move the position afterwards. NOTE - if you want to add to your play list do it before you start your video editing as the list does not always update when I Movie.

Problems adding Text track to .mov file

I am having a problem adding a text track to a quicktime file. I want to overlay text onto a PAL DV file. The original file size is 720 x 576 but when I add the text (as per the instructions in the QT Player Help) instead of having the text overlaid, it appears next to the Video image and gives me an image size of 1325 x 577. If I now export this as a "PAL DV" file, QT Player shows the whole 1325x577 frame whilst FCP accepts the file but shows only the video part of the frame.
I'm running QT 7.4.5 on a MacBook Pro with OS10.5.2. I have tried re-installing QT without success - this maybe because the Preferences seem to stick when upgrading/re-installing (?)
Any thoughts, help or, better still, a definitive answer to my problem would be most welcome.

Use the Movie Properties window to size your added text track to match the 720 width.
For viewing a DVD on a TV size it even smaller (700) and set an offset value of 10 pixels so your text doesn't get cut off during playback.

Playing manually added Video Podcasts?

I have a 5th Gen (60GB) and I update some podcasts manually and other automatically.
When I manually add a Video Podcast to my iPod, it does not add to the Videos>Video Podcasts directory, nor to the music directory. I've managed to get around this issue by creating a podcast playlist which finds the video and allows access through Video>Video Playlists>
Is there another, more reasonable option?
P.S. I assume my issues are related to my desire to automatically sync some podcasts and add others manually (an option "available" in the iPod Preferences, right?) and my solution may ultimately be to do everything automatically or manually, but I'd rather not.

I have exactly the same problem with a 5th Gen 30GB. The onlyu way to view manually-added video podcasts seems to be the way you suggest: to create a playlist. It's the same for audio podcasts, incidentally.

Problem Playing Video in Premiere Pro CS4

I am having a problem playing video in premiere pro. When I input any movie clip and try to play it in both the timeline and in the preview mode, the audio works fine but the video only plays a few seconds worth of footage at a really slow pace so that it takes up the entire time. For instance if I load a 3 minute video, the sound is normal but over the coarse of that 3 minutes I will only see a small number of the frames and they are cycled through in ultra slow motion.
All the clips play normally outside of premiere. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I have premiere installed on my laptop and it works fine. I have tried rendering the video first and it still doesn't work. I have tried holding shift before the program is loading and it did nothing. I have downloaded all the updates too. Videos seem to play fine in After Effects.
Also, I am having trouble when importing HD video into premiere and after effects. For some reason the programs freeze when I try to import footage from my Creative Vado HD pocket video camera.
Here are my computer specs
Windows Vista Ultimate 32 Bit
Intel Core2 Quad q8200
ATI Radeon 4670 Graphics Card
Gigabyte Motherboard
4GB of 800 Mhz RAM

The file extension .AVI indicate a "wrapper." All sorts of stuff can be in that wrapper *. Some of that stuff will play/edit fine. Much will not and create issues, as you have seen. Your camera uses a CODEC to create those .AVI files. That CODEC is the issue. I recommend G-Spot to find out what the CODEC is. Some times it's just a matter of having the proper CODEC installed on the computer. Most of the time, it takes much more than that - hence Eddie's links on "conversion." At least G-Spot will get us all on the same playing field, and explicit help can follow - probably to study Eddie's links. My guess is that your camera uses some form of DivX CODEC, hence the problem that you see.

Cannot place order ERROR: "There was a problem adding your product to cart"

Hey guys,
Well, once again Best Buy's online system is preventing me from making an order. It seems like nearly every time I log in I experience some new problem. This time, I'm unable to add anything to my cart. It doesn't matter what item I try to add to my cart or what browser I use or if I clear cookies...it happens every time, on every browser, with every product in the store. The error shows a red & white triangle with a message "There was a problem adding your product to cart".
Just to clarify ahead of time: 1) I have already tried signing in using 4 different browsers (explorer, firefox, chrome, opera) & they all give the same error; 2) Prior to posting here I researched this problem & found out it is somewhat common & has been occurring since at least 2012 on BestBuy.com; 3) Every time someone posts in here about this problem, customer service offers the same "fix" every time - to sign out, clear their browser cache of cookies, shut down the browser, restart the browser, sign back in, etc.... The only problem is, this "solution" has not worked ONE time our of the many times this problem has cropped up in here over the past 3+ years. Why this "solution" keeps getting told to people even though it never works is beyond me. But, there you have it.
Just to clarify: I have already tried this solution, And just like with everyone else before me, it didn't work for me either. So, what's the next step? There must be something else that can be done other than waiting a couple more days for it to magically fix itself (it seems that is the only thing that ever "works"...is to let several days go by and the problem ends up getting fixed in some back-end server-side patch up).
What I'm hoping for from you is a solution that can fix this immediately. This problem has already prevented me from making a couple purchases for items that were temporarily on sale over the past couple days. So, those are lost sales for Best Buy. What I'm hoping to do now is pre-order the Elder Scrolls Online (PS4) in order to take advantage of the $10 pre-order reward. The game releases on Tuesday the 9th. So, in order to get this done in time I need to place the order sometime today (on the 8th).
With all these repeated technical problems making purchasing a chore & wasting my time every single time I want to buy a product it's almost as if Best Buy is telling customers "We don't care if our online system works reliably...go spend your money at Amazon instead". lol

Problem adding HP J6400 all-in-one printer

We have an HP Officejet J6400 all-in-one printer here at work, and all of our computers have had no problem adding this printer except one: an older iMac, PowerMac 6.1 (with the white domed base). The driver is installed, and the computer sees the driver, but when I click to add it eventually it gives me this error:
"An error occurred while trying to add the selected printer. client-error-not-authorized"
I was on the phone with HP for an hour and they couldn't figure it out on their end. Has anyone had a similar problem, or have a solution?
