Problems after upgrade - Help would be appreciated

I downloaded the new iTunes, to find that my entire library had disappeared. Following Apple advice, I went back and restored it to one of my older saved libraries but now my library has loads of songs missing, that are currently on my iPod(mini). I am afraid to plug my iPod into my computer incase it automatically updates and I lose tracks..about 300. Can I turn off the automatic updating, and if so, how?

Imac 2008 20" wont start up. Has no chime, no display but the fans are running. Has a suspected graphics card problem. Any help would be appreciated.

After removing the graphics card to have a look at it, due to a suspected graphics problem, my imac 2008 20" wont now start. There is no chime, no display but the fans run, starting off slowly then when turned off by the power button and then turned back on with power button held in, the speed of the fans ramps right up. Any ideas?

If you live near an Apple Store, make a Genius Bar appointment to have the computer tested. Supposedly there is no charge for testing. Use 2nd link if not near an Apple Store or aren’t in the US.

Problems installing OS I have an iMac 21.5 (Mid-2010) and in trying to load a new hard drive, after choosing the installation disk the apple logo comes up and then stops and the keyboard and mouse goes dead. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Since you have a new hard drive, there is nothing on it, so you need to boot from an external source (and probably format the hard drive before installing an OS). Are you booting from the 10.6 install disk? Better yet - do you have a bootable backup clone or at least a Time Machine backup?

After updating os to 10.9.1can't open pdf files. I get a message saying It may be damaged or use a file format that Preview doesn't recognise. I can still read older saved files but no new ones arriving by email. Any help would be appreciated.

Back up all data before making any changes. Please take each of the following steps until the problem is resolved.
Step 1
If Adobe Reader or Acrobat is installed, and the problem is just that you can't print PDF's displayed in Safari, you may be able to print by moving the cursor to the the bottom edge of the page, somewhere near the middle. A black toolbar may appear under the cursor. Click the printer icon.
Step 2
There should be a setting in its preferences of the Adobe application such as Display PDF in Browser. I don't use those applications myself, so I can't be more precise. Deselect that setting, if it's selected.
Step 3
If you get a message such as ""Adobe Reader blocked for this website," then from the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
and check the box marked
Allow Plug-ins
Then click
Manage Website Settings...
and make any required changes to the security settings for the Adobe PDF plugin.
Step 4
Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it, the copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Paste into the text box that opens (command-V), then press return.
From the folder that opens, move to the Trash any items that have "Adobe" or “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then quit and relaunch Safari.
Step 5
The "Silverlight" web plugin distributed by Microsoft can interfere with PDF display in Safari, so you may need to remove it, if it's present. The same goes for a plugin called "iGetter," and perhaps others — I don't have a complete list. Don't remove Silverlight if you use the "Netflix" video-streaming service.
Step 6
Do as in Step 4 with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari.

I, on the other hand, had no brightness issues on the 4S after upgrading to iOS 6, and no change in (good) battery life. If could be something else, an app or background process that is less efficient with iOS 6? Could be anything.

The 30-pin connector on the iPhone 4 dock might not have all the connector pins to do video.
I'm 99% sure the Universal Dock does have the pins (and therefor supports video out).

HP says that the drivers for your all in one print/scanner are downloadable from apple. For the scanner to use preview. image capture or the scan icon from the print driver queue. I don't know how old your HP is, but I know that the newer Os from apple don't support a lot of older printers. You might be able find a third party driver that could work.

Are you running iTunes 11.0.1 (current version)? If not, get it at http://www.apple.com/itunes
