Problems applying patch for Jena adapter
I got errors when applying the patch to 11g (11.1.0.6) for the Jena Driver (from OTN). I executed each .sql/.plb file in the order stated by the patch instructions:
jenadrv_patch_ig.txt: Step-by-step instructions (new Oracle Database 11g installation). When I executed sdordfxb.plb I got the folowing:
SQL> @sdordfxb.plb

Grant succeeded.
After this the SDO_RDF package could not be found when making semantic API calls.
Any idea what I did wrong? I rolled back from the patch by re-executing the backed up (pre-patch) versions of the .sql and .plb files which successfully restored the SDO_RDF package but I still can't install the patch.
Thanks.
After trying to re-run the patch process I couldn't get catsem11i to run successfully. I have dropped my models, network, and removed the model data tables (that I originally created) containing SDO_RDF_TRIPLE data types so I'm not sure why I'm getting the error below. Any idea where else these dependenices could be or how to fully clean?

Has anyone had this problem?
Thank you.I figured it out after some more poking around. In NW7.1 CE, the additional required step is to map the eventID of the Chart (Business Graphics) Category also to the same attribute as Category description.

Hi, Good morning:
I am trying to apply patch for my newly installed Oracle10.2.0.1, I downloaded the Opatch utility and extracted it directly into oracle_home, and then I downloaded the latest patch 5500927 and extracted into oracle_home/opatch....
Now, if I do ' opatch inventory ' under oracle_home/optach, it will give
D:\Oracle10g\OPatch>opatch lsinventory
The system cannot find the file specified.
Java could not be located. OPatch cannot proceed!
OPatch failed with error code = 1
If I do 'opatch lsinventory ' under oracle_home/opatch/5500927 it will give :
D:\Oracle10g\OPatch>cd 5500927
D:\Oracle10g\OPatch\5500927>opatch lsinventory
'opatch' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
I know I have JVM in my machine, and the JDK is version 1.4...
Can anyone help me ? what did I do wrong?
Thanks a lot.
Wendywhat a sec..the home does not look right, did you change it on installation?
set oracle_home=d:\oracle\product\10.2.0\db_1
set oracle_sid=your_sid
opatch lsinventory
if that doesn't work, look at your PATH, see what is going on there
you might want to put the "opatch" sub-dir into your path..or create a couple of CMD files to set it all the time. -
Applying patch for MDM5.5 SP4 to SP5
Hi,
We have a discovery system with MDM 5.5 version having patch level SP4.
Now we want to apply patch SP5.
can anybody tell me the step by step procedure for applying patch for MDM.
Regards
Anil DHi Dasari
You can find the upgrade guide here:
https://service.sap.com/installmdm -> Previous Releases (ZIP Files) -> MDM 5.5 SP05 - Planning & Installation Guides -> MDM 5.5 SP05 - Upgrade Guide.pdf
Please also check the release note: 1025897 - MDM 5.5 SP05 Release
Basically you will have to:
- stop User activity, archive your repositories, backup the binaries, stop all mdm processes
- uninstall SP04, install SP05 (including the gui client components)
- restart mdm and upgrade the repostories with the console
- depending on your installation, update other compenents (java api in EP...)
I suggest you go to the most recent SP05 version, there are quite a few patches and hotfixes for SP05. BTW SP06 is already available as well, we will be moving to SP06 pretty soon.
Regards

Any ideas? I am hoping that I am just tired and is doing something really stooopid ;-)
Cheers,
AndyAndy,
From the README.txt included with that patch:
- If the PL/SQL Web Toolkit version is either 9.0.4 series or 10.1.2 series and
the database version is higher than 8.1.7.4
SQL> @904x_1012x/privht.sql
SQL> exit
I’m assuming your database version is higher than 8.1.7.4. If so, then you need to run privht.sql and not privht8.sql.

Problems applying patch 8.1.7.1.1
WE HAVE 2 SEPARATE INSTALLATIONS AS FOLLOWS:
1)
NT4 / DB 8.1.7.0 / iAS 1.0.2.0(portal 3.0.7) all under same machine
WE USE THIS SERVER FOR TESTING
2)
W2000 / DB 8.1.7.0 / iAS 1.0.2.2 (portal 3.0.9). db in one server, iAS in another server.
WE ARE PLANNING TO USE THESE SERVERS
FOR PRODUCTION.
WE WANTED TO APPLY PATCH 8.1.7.1.1 IN THE PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT BUT WE DECIDED TO TRY IT FIRST IN THE TEST ENVIRONMENT.
WE STARTED THE INSTALLATION AND ALL WENT FINE UNTIL STEP 5 ,WHEN YOU NEED TO "CONNECT INTERNAL" AND RUN SOME SQL SCRIPTS (CATALOG.SQL, CATPROC.SQL, etc...)
WE COULD NOT CONNECT AS INTERNAL. THEREFORE, WE COULD NOT FINISH THE WHOLE PROCESS FOR THE PATCH INSTALLATION.
TO MY SURPRISE, THE DB AND THE PORTAL ARE STILL WORKING NORMALLY!! IS THIS REASONABLE?
CAN I RUN THE SQL SCRIPTS REQUIRED IN STEP 5 AS "SYS" USER INSTEAD OF "INTERNAL"?
TKS!!TKS PHILIP!
IN ORDER TO CONNECT WITH "SYS" THEN THE DATABASE HAS TO BE UP AND RUNNING.
I DON'T REMEMBER THE INSTALLATION STEPS MENTIONING TO START THE DATABASE PRIOR TO RUN THE SQL SCRIPTS (UNDER "INTERNAL").
ANY ADVICES? -
Hi All,
I am working on xapps for Mobile to implement CRM mobile sales for handheld using CRMHH 5.0. For that I am using the WAR file MSAHH02_0-10003081.ZIP( xMSA FOR HH (WITH CRM) 5.0 SR02 ) available on SAP marketplace.
Now I want to apply the patch available for the same i.e. MSAHH02P_4-10003081.ZIP(Patch for MSA FOR HH (WITH CRM) 5.0 SR02 )
Can anyone please tell the procedure to apply the patch.

Patchadd is terminating.I am assuming you want to only apply this patch in a specific Zone? If that is the case you would want to use -G instead of -g as the option.

How do I configure logging for Jena Adapter?
The software I'm developing uses the jdk logger, and sends the output to a log file. I'd like to send log messages from the Jena adapter to the same location. Also, what are the names of the logged components, and how can you adjust the log levels?
Those are internal logs. Behind the scene, Jena Adaptor is using apache commons logging.
To disable those verbose logging output, you can set the following JVM properties.
-Dorg.apache.commons.logging.Log=org.apache.commons.logging.impl.SimpleLog
-Dorg.apache.commons.logging.simplelog.defaultlog=warn

Problem applying patch 125547-02
I am attempting to patch a Solaris Sparc 10 06/06 system to the latest patches using the smpatch command. One of the patches that needs to be applied in patch 125547-02. However I am unable to install this patch as it has a dependency on patch 122660-10. I attempt to download and install patch 122660-10 using smpatch and I'm unable to do so (the patch cannot be found after issuing the "smpatch download -i 122660-10") command. Going to sunsolve.sun.com I am able to download a copy of patch 122660-10 however when I attempt to install it I am told it cannot be installed as patch number 124204-01 needs to be installed. Unfortunately I am unable to download or install this patch using either smpatch or logging into sunsolve. Has anyone encountered this problem before and been able to resolve it?
Needless to say I am very frustrated at the difficulty it takes to keep a Solaris system patched.Thank you for your assistance. That was the patch I needed as I was able to install patch 125547-02. It's odd that sunsolve did not list patch 124204-01 at all on the site. Typically when a patch has been obsoleted it remains on sunsolve and a reference to the new patch is made. That was not the case for patch 124204-01. One other thing to note: I was unable to use smpatch to download and install patch 124204-04 as you suggested. I had to log on to sunsolve and download the patch and install it with patchadd.

Problem Applying Patch KB70009
Dear All,
I have installed Solution Manager 4.0 SR1. I have upgraded Support Package from 20 to 23 successfully.
Now I wish to apply BASIS Patch 70009. It asks for CRT i.e. SAPKITL417. I added the sam also in the queue. This CRT asks for SAPKW70009. I addeed that. Then when I checked the queue it asks for SAPKIPYJ79. I added that also
Now I started importing it.
It started normally but keeps on running in " Main Import" phase for more than 20 Hours. It is still running.
What could be the problem & how to get rid of this.
Pls revert ASAP as I need to take action accordingly.
Thanks
