Problems before and after Uninstall and re-install CS4
I went ahead and uninstalled and re-installed CS4 because of freeze ups and other difficulties. Program After Effects is now crashing - see attachment. There is also a problem with an importer plugin (I think) may be related. I can't tell. I have not tried any other projects. I did however, disconnect the Matrox MX02 Mini, but still had problems. The MX02 is now re-connected.
I wonder if installing CS4 on top of CS3 is an issue? I remember having a similar problem goiing from CS2 to CS3. I had to downloader a cleaning utility from Adobe (I think) to remove every bit of CS2 and then run CCleaner.
It's my own fault - trying to upgrade software and hardware at the same time. It's hard to isolate. For now, I'l just have to do with Premiere since it is working. But, I'd sure like to know what's going on.
Did you re-install all other Adobe products as well? If not, then that may be the problem. Uninstalling/ reinstalling only one of them messes with MediaCore and certain otehr functions. The quick fix is to download the manuala (!) update packages for After Effects, Premiere Pro/Encore and Adobe Media Encoder from the support pages and run them. This usually bends things in place. If not, then you will probably have to uninstall again, this time including every Adobe app, use the CS4 Clean Script and reinstall.

Entry point errors can usually be fixed by deleting the offending dll, then repairing the component it is part of from the programs and features control panel. Unfortunately you neglected to include the detail of which dll is mentioned.

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. I had to go to Internet Explorer to print an invoice copy from Amazon.com. I've never had to NOT use Firefox before to do this. I lost some of the icons, apparently, and one was the one for print.

After uninstalling and reinstalling itues according to instructions for Vista, QuickTime doesn't appear in my programs, I don't seem to have it anywhere, Isn't QuickTime supposed to be part of the Itunes installation? Is the absence of it why no ipod will function correctly for me?
Let's first try something relatively simple. Download and save a 64-bit version of the iTunes installer (iTunes64Setup.exe) to your hard drive. (Don't run the install on line.)
Now try right-clicking the installer file and selecting "Run as administrator".
Does that get you past the privileges errors? -
After uninstalling and installing several times, Java plug-in is still undetected. Support suggested I open up the control panel and click update but there isn't such an option. The advance tab, there aren't any options to enable or disable plug-ins.
If you're running Java 7, then in System Preferences > Java > Java Control Panel in the Security tab there is a check box to enable Java in your browser. To check for update go to the Update tab.

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account. -
CS5.5 and OSX 10.9.4: Most applications will not launch even after uninstalling and reinstalling the Creative Suite 5.5. After my 2011 MacBook Pro 17 died, I had to purchase a new MacBook Pro 15 to replace it. Now I get "The saved printer information is not compatible with this version of Photoshop Elements, or the saved printer is no longer available. You will need to check your printer settings before printing."

It's the same printer driver version. nothing to roll back. I fixed the issue by deleting the %APPDATA%\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\11.0 folder -
My computer crashed and I cant reload firefox.. I have tried the task manager and deleting uninstalling and installing program again. I click on icon and nothing appears although it appears to start and is running in task manager, but the browser wont open.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Why won't Adobe reader no longer let me view previously download (from Safari) pdf's? I am running OSX 10.8.5 and have uninstalled and reinstalled latest version of Reader. Go to: Mac HD/Library/Internet Plug-ins
Trash the AdobePDFViewer.plugin and AdobePDFViewerNPAPI.plugin files
Empty the trash
Relaunch Safari. You can now download undamaged PDFs. -
