Problems buying apps in a new country

I really hope someone on the community can help me with this.
I have had an apple account in the UK for a long time but have never purchased anything on it.
I have now moved to Singapore a bought a brand new ipad mini and linked my apple account to it. I am trying to buy an app off the store but I keep getting an error message saying that my account is not valid in Singapore and I will be switched back to the UK one. Here are the errors I get:
1. I go to the Ipad click general-my apple ID-view Apple ID-country/region
I change it from the UK to Singapore and update my billing information but after I do this it just goes back to the UK country/region without any message or warning
2. In itunes I change my location to Singapore but then it just signs me out and reverts back to the UK store.
Someone please help if you have a solution to this as right now I can't buy any apps at all unless I change my apple ID altogether which would be really annoying as its linked to my gmail.

    Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
    Reset  ( No Data will be Lost )

    If no joy...
    Reset all settings
    Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
    This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.

    This can be caused by a few things.
          Make sure the billing card address, the one on the statement is the exact
                 same as in iTunes.
          Note even the zip code being off can cause this.
           Try a different CC
          and the way the always works
              An iTunes GC.

    I tried to by an app from my own country and it just says I can't and should contact support, the support then says I can't buy apps from Sweden..but I'm in sweden, got swedish adress and all.. and then they couldn't give more information... anyone got any ideas? Can I delete my appel Id and create a new one? think this one was created in UK.. how do I check if there's anything I have missed to changes? pls help

    You need to sogn into the account and then view the account. In the account details is an area to change the country or region for which the account is registered. Change the UK info to the Swedish info and you should be good to go.

    I never had problems before buying apps for my iphone 4s.  I even bought some today.  then I started getting a message that paypal is not compatible with itunes and I had to go to my account and put a defferent payment.  I did that but I still can't buy apps or even download free apps. Has anyone else had this issue and how did you fix it?

    Didn't know Apple accepted PayPal as a payment option in some Stores. Cause they sure don't over here.

    i try to buy new apps in my new Ipad using my Apple ID and every time that I try its says error. What I can do to solves this ?

    With all you've said across all these posts, the ONE THING that would do exactly what you describe here ... is if you entered a different Apple ID.
    Just to describe it ... your Apple ID and password was working at other devices, but not in your new iPad that you just got in the last few days. You did have to enter that Apple ID in that new machine, but you didn't have to enter it in any of your other devices, as they were working and they already had it entered. Now, if I were to enter some unknown Apple ID into that new machine of yours and then you tried to enter in your password you've been using all along, of course you know that wouldn't work. And, if you changed your password and then tried to enter in that new password you just created - again, you would NOT EXPECT that new password you just created to work on another and different Apple ID.
    The ONLY THING that will work as you describe it here is if that new iPad you just got, had a DIFFERENT Apple ID entered, right at the beginning.
    "THAT" is the track I would be heading down right now for troubleshooting.

    i have been trying to buy additional app inside of app such as Hipstamatic, Incredibooth, even the game Where's My Water; and it always pop up a message "This is ot a Test User account. Please creat a new account in the Sandbox environment"
    i still have credit in account, but how come i don't get to buy apps? how do i go with it?

    The ultimate solution after you have tried restarting/ rebooting your device (no need to hard reset or restore your device) is:
    Click iForgot, then reset your password, change it to your new password. Then go to Store, try downloading any app! Hope this will help because some of my friends had this prob before and all what i did was this way!

    I am trying to buy an app and it's won't let me, it tells me to contact apple support! Why? And what do I need to do to be able to buy apps again? Ps. It allows me to buy music just now apps!

    Click here and ask the iTunes Store staff for assistance. Only they can say what needs to be done, which may include changing something at their end.

  • Buy App while in another country?

    I have seen numerous posts about trying to change stores, etc., but I haven't seen an answer to this:
    If you have an Apple ID and it is linked to the US store, what do you do when you are travelling the globe and are phyiscally in another country?  Can you not just accept the message that says you can only buy in the US store and till get a free Google App or whatever downloaded to your phone?
    We are SOOOO frustrated with this.  We have sveral iPhones, iPads, Airbooks, etc etc etc.  We have numerous homes around the world and a yacht and constantly are moving back and forth through Europe, the US and elsewhere.  We are hardly going to go open bank accounts in every country on the planet and our credit cards are used everywhere in the world.
    How on earth are we supposed to be in the UK or France or Portugal or Russia and be able to download a FREE app for something like Google when we need it if we are constantly told we can only buy in the US store or whatever that Apple ID is linked to?  Why can't we say 'sure buy from the USA we don't care about the VAT or the exchange rate or whatever", we need the app at the moment!
    There must be a work around for this, esp for free apps that aren't buying anything!
    Is there an answer to this?

  • Problems installing apps on a new iphone

    I upgraded the software on my iphone 3gs to 5.0 and after that I can not sync my apps. I get error messag trying to sync apps stored in itunes.
    Then I bought an iphone 4s, the same problem on this phone.
    I have the apps also on my ipad2, I have not upgraded the software on this item.
    What is causing this problem?

    I take it you're not french so you can't translate that for us right? Anyways, the new iPhone is registered with the same iTunes user account correct? First, click on Store at the top and sign out of your account. Second, click on the Store at the top and deauthorize computer. Third, restart your computer. Fourth, click on the Store at the top again and sign in with your account. Fifth, click on the Store at the top and Authorize Computer.
    Let me know if that works.

  • If you buy apps... new iphone / computer....

    So heres my deal, I recently returned my iPhone for a replacement because I had some troubles with my old phone. They gave me a new phone but in the process of waiting I reformatted my computer.
    I bought a few apps on the Appstore before and I was wondering if the Appstore has a way of knowing whether or not I bought them. My iphone is blank without any apps, my itunes is blank without any apps. I have already bought some apps before that costed about $5. If I "re-buy" that app again, will I be charged an additional $5 or will I get it for free since I already purchased it before?

    Well what you wanna do is in iTunes go to Store (from the top menu) and authorize your computer, sync your iPhone after you have authorized your computer. Then you should be able to re download the apps at no cost. Your Apple ID should remember that information. If you get charged you should be able to get your money back because your Apple ID will show that you have purchased it twice, which I am pretty sure it really hard to do this. Just make sure that you don't have more than 1 Apple ID, because you can run in to trouble there.

  • Problem buying apps

    I reset my ipod touch (4th gen. Yeah I know it's old, but it still works great) and opened it under a new account because I recently got a new laptop and decided to get my own account instead of being on my family's account.
    Long story short, the reset went fine, I was able to transfer all of my media over. However, the apps didn't transfer between accounts, so I went to buy new ones.
    Example: I tried to get the youtube app (which I had before), it asked me to sign in using my account id which I did, and then it started to install and then stopped and went back to the "Free" button. So it seems to sign me in, and then something doesn't happen to make the transaction go through.
    Is there somewhere else that I have to make sure has the correct account information? Is there something that I'm missing, in hooking my ipod touch up to the new account? Something on my computer or my ipod touch?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost      
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Go to Settings>iTunes and App Store and sign out and sign back in
    - Try when connected to another network
    - Reset all settings                            
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:                                               
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes      
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

    Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I see that you are unable to access the apps found on the front panel of your Officejet Pro 8600 Plus printer.
    I have included the Troubleshooting Print App Issues document.  One of the FAQs is “Print Apps launch slowly, lock up, crash, or a connection error message displays on the printer”.  It has a series of trouble shooting steps to take to resolve this.

    Close your iTunes,
    Go to command Prompt -
    (Win 7/Vista) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
    (Win XP SP2 n above) - START>PROGRAMS>ACCESSORIES>Command Prompt
    In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
    netsh winsock reset
    Hit "ENTER" key
    Restart your computer.
    If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
    Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
    If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

    Hello guys.I am new to the forums and I have a problem with a paid app outside of my country - outside of Azerbaijan.
    I really wanna buy "bioshock",it is literally my dream but unfortunately it is NOT out in Azerbaijan AppStore,so I would like to ask you few questions about this case:
    1)Can I use...umm like a Russian/Turkish credit card to buy apps in Russian/Turkish
    AppStores outside of Russia/Turkey?Like if I will SOMEHOW make a correct payment method or get a giftcard from Russia/Turkey,can I do this?
    2)I've read somewhere that you have to make a whole new credit card in order to buy apps outside of your country because if you're using an Azerbaijan credit card you won't be able to use it in Russian AppStore because of the incorrect payment method.Is it true?
    3)Is there any ACTUAL way for me to do it?Or I am stuck in a freakin' dead end?
    I've been waiting for this game for 6 months already and it is still not out in my country.I am begging you guys,please help me out with this problem.
