Problems calling designated country with Skype Pre...

Greetings -
I am new to Skype and subscribed to Skype Premium about a month ago and designated Belgium as the country for my unlimited calls. When I try to call a number in Belgium, a window pops up and indicates that I need to purchase Skype credit in order to complete the call. I have tried to make several calls, but they do not go through and they are logged in my call history for 0:00 minutes each at a $0.00 cost. My profile has Belgium properly designated.
Any advice on how I can fix this?

Hello Jeff,
The message you are receiving indicates that you are attempting a call not covered by your Plan. In the case of Belgium only calls to landlines are included (not cellphones).

I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

I have a imac (2,7 Ghz Intel core, 4Gb internal memory) with Mac Os X 10.7.5. The problem is that the quality of my voice that people hear when I call them by skype 6.4.0.833 is bad (hollow, and far). When I call with my old macbook pro there is no problem. This is very frustrating because of a new iMac computer that powerfull I expect a lot better than this. I tried already to install skype skype again and checked the sound preferences without any result. Anybody has an idea what I could do?

The following line tells me that this is not a template file, but a document created from a template called index.dwt

This means that you saved a child document as a template file at some stage.
If you go to Modify->Templates->Detach from Template, you can remove the template structure from your document. All you then need to do is to re-save the document as a template.

Problems calling VIs remotely with RT-engine

I have problems when I call VIs remotely and I create executables to run with the Run Time Engine 7.0.
My program consists of a server that show some data (to the user) calling a VI that store such data. Another independent part of the program call such VI (which store the data) by remotely calling it with the VI Server. If I run the 2 programs under Labview 7.0 (directly installed) all goes well, but when I create the 2 executables and I run them, the data appeare only in the server. In the client I don't see any data even if I have no error detected.
In the past I used the same methodology with Labview 5.1 in some application and I never had such problem.
Could someone help me ?

I send you (as attachment) a llb with 3 VIs (Labview 7.0) : a server VI that call directly the message VI, and a client VI that call the message VI indirectly.
I have compiled the server VI into an exe program (using the option that create the data.llb file).
After installing that program (in the directory C:\programmi\Test\ ) and running it (with the Run Time Engine), if now I run the client VI (in the same machine) the value of the message displayed by the panel is not the same of the server.
If I also compile the client VI into an exe program and then I run it (with the Run Time Engine), I obtain the same result (different values displayed).
Only if I run the server VI and the client VI directly under Labview (in the same machine) the two VIs
display the same message.
If I also run the compiled exe version of the server VI and the client VI in two different machines I obtain the same message displayed.

No call out/in with skype subscription

Hi i have bought skype number and 1year calling subscription uk/ireland. I just had connected few times to the uk landlines and received call couple of time from uk landlines but most of the time it disconnected. would you please advise what is restricting making and receiving calls to/from uk landlines. currenlt i am not able to make/receive call. thanks

There is only one "data-sources.xml" file in my JDeveloper 10.1.3. It is in the "\j2ee\home\config" subdirectory.
But the again, I have not used my JDeveloper to create any Web services.
I really think you should try the JDeveloper and ADF forum.
Also, there are several debug properties you can set for OC4J.
Since you say you are using 10.1.2, the following Web page may be helpful:

As the related posts suggest, you will need to use direct JDBC code for this.
Also I'm not sure JDBC supports the RECORD type, so you may need to wrap your stored functions with ones that either flatten the record out, or take OBJECT types.

Problems calling stored procedure with DG4IFMX

Hi guys,
I am trying to call stored procedures from Informix Database which is connected through Oracle Database Gateway for Informix.
I have run select,update,delete successfully but when i try to run a stored procedure nothing happens.
for example :
when i run
call "branko"@link_informix(1)
it returns that it is successfully executed, without any error, but as u can see bellow no entry is entered in the branko_test table
at informix :
drop procedure branko;
create procedure "informix".branko(_vlez integer)
returning boolean;
if _vlez = 1 then
insert into branko_test values('test uspesen','1');
else
insert into branko_test values('test uspesen 2','2');
end if;
end procedure;
the procedure runs ok when called from informix.

P.S i have even tried running:

Found the root cause:
when using dbaccess to call the original procedure it reports on the screen (expression)
=> removing the return value as it is not handled
-> looks like the unhandled return value boolean. Modifying the procedure to
drop procedure branko;

insert into branko_test values('test uspesen','1');
else
insert into branko_test values('test uspesen 2','2');

end procedure;
allows me to execute the procedure using passthrough

Free international 800 calling to U.S. with skype

I will be residing in Thailand this winter and want to know if I will be able to call my bank in the U.S using their toll-free number? If so, will this call be free? Also, what format should I use when dialing this 800 number from Thailand to the U.S? Thanks for any input

If you are able to reach that number using Skype, it would be a free call.
To dial the number from Skype, you would dial +1 followed by the toll-free area code and number (total of 10 digits after the +1). Please note that Skype does not guarantee calls to all toll-free numbers in the +1 country code. Some of these numbers are actually in countries other than the USA (i.e. Canada, Bermuda, many islands in the Caribbean, plus some US territories in the Pacific), or the company/organization that has the number has limited where incoming calls can come from (those with the toll-free numbers can restrict calls to come in only from specific states and/or area codes). Skype typically patches calls to US phone numbers, including any of the toll-free area codes, into the telephone network in California. The toll-free number you want to call must be reachable by someone calling it from California in order to reach it with Skype.
You can simply test this before you leave for Thailand with Skype. If you are not able to call that number with Skype, try to see if your bank offers a non-free number you can call. Sometimes these are listed as "Call Collect" numbers or numbers specifically for use outside the USA. You'd have to purchase Skype Credit or a subscription to call the non-free numbers, but that could be an option.

The telephones numbers do not let me click and call with skype in firefox 5, how do I get firefox 4 again?

Before with firefox 3 and 4 I could call phone numbers with skype directly off of the web page by clicking the phone number. This feature no longer functions in firefox 5. What do i need to do. To ensure a clean installation, please do the following: 
#Go to "Programs and Features" in Control Panel and remove "Mozilla Firefox" choosing to keep your bookmarks, customizations etc., (''don't checkmark the box''). 
#Then reboot, open Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files and delete the folder called "Mozilla Firefox". 
#Finally run the installation file you downloaded earlier. 
Your bookmarks, customizations etc., are maintained in a different location and will become available to you again once you complete the installation. 
Having said that, make a backup of your bookmarks as a precaution as follows: 
#Click the orange Firefox button, go to '''Bookmarks''', then '''Show All Bookmarks''' to open the Bookmarks Manager. 
#Click the link to '''Import and Backup '''and then click '''Export HTML '''and save the file somewhere.
You can use the same Bookmarks Manager to import the file you saved by choosing "Import HTML".

Hello Why is my SkypeOut credit no longer shown with my name? I have two versions of Skype om my computer. The first, which came pre-installed with my new Asus Laptop and Windows 8.0 and now Windows 8.1. I do not know the version of the pre-loaded Skype as it lacks in functionality. It is definitely the worst version of Skype that has ever been designed and I have used Skype since (approx 2004) shortly after it was first created. I recently downloaded Skype 6.22.81.104 for Windows desktop and added it to my Asus laptop because of all the frustrating problems I have had with the pre-installed Skype. Although this version is better then the pre-installed version it is lacking of very good features that were on the earlier versions. On all previous versions of Skype (including W 8.1 pre-installed version), my SkypeOut credit was always displayed with my Skype name. With Skype 6.22.81.104 I must click on my profile to see my credit. Why? Why? Why can't I see it anymore with Skype 6.22.81.104? I have checked all the Skype set-up possibilities and can't find a solution. I also checked Skpye Help and Community and have not found an answer. How do I correct this? Please instruct the program designers to leave good ideas from past Skype version in any updates they do. Also please get rid of the big bulky/blocky Windows Skype version. Also stop it taking the full screen - allow us to reduce the Skype screen size. Thank you.

ADF 12c Rendering Problems at design time

I am experimenting the following unexpected rendering problems at Design time with JDEV 12c:
- Sometimes a complete page is showed empty or blank but the components exists on the page (you can see them in the structure panel) and the page has no warnings.
- Sometimes I cannot click a component because it is behind the container.
- Sometimes the containers are rendered in other place on the page.
- Sometimes the containers not stretching
I remember some posts about this problem in 11.1.2.x but I think it was not fixed in 12c. For this reason, I have some questions:
What is the "real" memory requirement of Jdev 12c to avoid render problems?
What is the best configuration in jdev.conf?
Is it only a memory issue or Is it also a dependency reference problem? According to a blog post of Frank Nimphius:
Though with Oracle JDeveloper 11g the problem of the IDE not rendering JSF pages properly in the visual editor has become rare, there always is a way for the creative to break IDE functionality. A possible reason for the visual editor in JDeveloper to break is a failed dependency reference, which often is in a custom JSF PhaseListener configured in the faces-config.xml file. To avoid this from happening, surround the code in your PhaseListener class with the following statement (for example in the afterPhase method)

The reason why the visual editor in Oracle JDeveloper fails rendering the WYSIWYG view has to do with how the live preview is created. To produce the visual display of a view, JDeveloper actually runs the ADF Faces view in JSF, which then also invokes defined PhaseListeners. With the code above, you check whether the PhaseListener code is executed at runtime or design time.If it is executed in design time, you ignore all calls to external resources that are not available at design time.

Jhon, what Frank mentioned can't be fixed from the outside. You or the developers who use phase listens without thinking about the design view are the ones to fix this. Frank provided you with the solution for this.
However, we don't know if you use any self written phase listener. If you don't do this you have another problem. I do see some of your symptoms but can't reproduce them at the moment. As long as we can't reproduce the problem somehow it's difficult to to get a solution.
My advise is to keep your eyes open (add I do) and whenever you can reproduce this behaviour come back and tell us about it. It's hard or impossible to give the 'best' settings for Jdev.conf as they depend on other factors e.g. operating system, memory, other applications running at the same time and many more.
Personally I don't change the parameters as long as I can't put the problems to low memory (which I can't at the moment).
