Problems Car-Kit CK-7W Bluetooth connection not st...

Hello,
I have the following problem :
I have in my Car a Nokia CK-7W Car-Kit. The phone i use is a Nokia N73 with the latest software 4.0736.3.2.1.
the only connection i use is the bluetooth i dont use the cable connection.
Verry often when i am calling someone the connection is suddenly not good anymore. there is suddenly a lot of noise so the person on the other side is just hearing noise and could not understand me anymore.
Calling again will not solve the problem they cant understand what i am saying.
The only solution is to turn the ignition key to 0 so the car-kit is turned off and then restart again.
Also has to power off the N73 and back on --> problem solved for a while.
I have tried with my older Phone Nokia 6280 there the problem is not the same. Sometimes it is also not good but not the same as with the N73.
With the 6280 i have also a different problem that it is not posible to disconnect the line when calling. so when i push the CK-7W button for a disconnect the line keeps open the only option is the read key on the phone.
So i dont know exacly what is defective , is it the car-kit or are both the phones not good.
Does anyone has the same problem.
Someone told me that it is because i have one of the first CD-7W car-kits so they have software that is to old. I dont think that it is normal that there are so much problems. They have told me that i have one of the first versions because my paing key is not 0000 but a nr in my case 1819.
When the CK-7W Module is defective , does anyone know if it is possibe that i just buy a Module without the other accessories.
Thanks for the advice.

Hello,
I can ubderstand if yo have installed more than 100 CK-7W that you are sure that the passcode must be 0000.
I am 100% sure that on my original box there is CK-7W and on the manual the passcode is 1819.
I have also a POP connector + cable (wich is not installed ) to connect the phone with cable. Has the CK-1W also this possibility ?
What i dont can see is the correct nr ont the main unit because it is stiil someware behind the dashboard.
The only think i can think of is that i have received a ck-1W like you told but is was in a CK-7W box. The manual deliverd was also CK-7W but the passcode was on a label that was put on the manual so they have the possibility to make a misttake.
I dont think that after +- 3 year i can go to Nokia an ask them for the correct one ?
So someone had made a mistake , maybe at Nokia or maybe in the shop. Why i dont know . the only thing i know is that i have a lot of problemens with this stupid thing.
If you have installed 100's of the CK-7W can you advice me if the stupid thing is working fine or that i be better of to buy another one ?
I only need a goed stable working Car-Kit not with display,....
Thanks

    bonjour

  • Adv Car Kit CK-7W - Bluetooth Problem !!

    I recently got a new car, which has the CK-7W Installed in it.  I took out an old cradle that was in it, and decided to try to use my N96, via Bluetooth. (I fitted a Brodit Holder for the N96 - Just a holder no power etc)
    I managed to pair it no problem,  however it drops the connection and switches of after 20 secs or so ?
    After a while it turns back on, makes a connection and then drops it straight away, etc, etc, etc !!!
    I have used my N96 on a Parrot and other bluetooth connections, and its fine, it just seems to be this one in my car ... lol.
    Has anyone got any ideas, I have read the manual, I have reset the Box by disconnecting it, I have rest the bluetooth connections !!
    I'm at a point now where I am ready to rip it out and get a parrot ck3100 fitted !!!
    Cheers

    The phone is on, when I get in the car, with bluetooth.
    I start the car .... the remote light comes on ... it beeps, it says connected on the phone, and then 5 secs later it drops the connection.
    The remote light goes off, it then comes back on 2 mins later ........ connects, and disconnects straight away, and so that continues.
    The phone stays on throughout.
    The distance is not an issue it is no more than 40-50cm from both the remote, and the Main box.
    There are no other phones in the car.
    I have reset the box, by disconnecting it
    I have reset the Bluetooth by turning off and holding the remote button down, until it beeps.
    Like I say I have no problems connecting to other Bluetooths, like the Parrot ck3100 in my wifes car, it will stay connected all day long.
    I have even had the box out to look at it, and all looks fine, good connections etc.

  • Problems with PC Suite and bluetooth connection to...

    Hi, I have the following:
    Pentium 4 PC running Windows XP service pack 2
    PC Suite 6.82.22.0
    PC Connectivity Solution:
    Version 6.43.9.0
    Bluetooth stack:
    Microsoft Bluetooth stack
    Version 5.1.2600
    Build 2180
    I have had repeated problems trying to get a reliable connection between my 6230 and PC using Bluetooth. Actions so far:
    - Uninstalled PC suite, ran the Cleaner, reinstalled
    - Uninstalled IVT Bluesoleil
    - Done battery reset on phone
    - Restored factory settings on phone
    - Set phone to auto-connect without confirmation
    Restoring the factory settings worked -- but only for a few hours! If I so much as restore my ringtone I'm back to square one which is:
    - PC suite recognises "Nokia 6230 connected via bluetooth"
    - PC Sync either fails to recognise the connection at all, or completes with 0 contacts updated, or gives me an error "the mobile phone did not respond"
    - Phone browser sometimes recognises the phone, and sometimes not. Trying to synch via the browser doesn't work.
    - Music transfer starts out by recognising the phone, then stalls and loses the connection.
    I can't restore factory settings every time I want to synch my contacts or move music/pictures -- life is much too short! Anybody have any other bright ideas?
    Thank you!

    Hi,
    If you are using memory card -> remove that from phone and then try to use PC Suite with your phone...does it help??
    BTW: always when you try to use PC Sync, set phone's UI to idle state.

  • Bluetooth connection not working on US Nokia phones from J2ME Midlet (MIDP

    Hi All,
    We are developing a J2ME midlet (MIDP 2.0 ,CLDC 1.1)which makes bluetooth connection to other devices.The bluetooth
    connection is working perfectly on indian nokia phones with Airtel as carrier.But when we deploy the same midlet on Nokia E71
    US phone with carrier as AT&T ,the bluetooth connection is not working.The sample code is as follows:
    public void run(){
    try{
    StreamConnection connection = (StreamConnection)Connector.open(btConnectionURL);
    // open an input stream to get some data
    InputStream in = connection.openInputStream();
    byte[] serialData;
    readData = true;
    while(readData == true){
    int lengthavai=0;
    lengthavai = in.available();
    if(lengthavai > 0){
    serialData = new byte[lengthavai];
    int length = in.read(serialData);
    System.out.println("data read: " + new String(serialData));
    dataViewForm.append(new String(serialData));
    in.close();
    connection.close();
    }catch(IOException ioe){
    ioe.printStackTrace();
    when we try to connect on US Phones],the execution hangs at the following line of code:
    StreamConnection connection = (StreamConnection)Connector.open(btConnectionURL);
    No exception is caught.
    Our midlet is not signed.
    In the Forums it is said that the problem is with the unsigned midlet.AS some of the US carriers block the secure API usage
    on Unsigned midlet.
    But our question is, if we buy a code signing certificate from Verisign or Thawte and sign the midlet, will this problem be solved.
    Any other alternative solutions for this ???
    Immediate help will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Yash

    You might want to read this before buying a certificate:
    http://javablog.co.uk/2007/08/09/how-midlet-signing-is-killing-j2me/
    It's not my blog, but I pretty much agree with what it says. Unfortunately the network operators can control the access 3rd party trusted certificates have, so even if you sign with Verisign for example, the signed midlet may not have any more privileges than an unsigned midlet, depending on network. They do this so that only midlets signed with one of their own certificates have unrestricted privileges forcing anyone who wants a useful application to buy it from the network instead of downloading an equivalent freeware version from Getjar for example. Some networks are worse than others, so signing your midlet will allow it to work on more phones than an unsigned midlet. I think Verisign have some info on AT&T on their website.
    The whole MIDP specification for security is a joke, IMHO. I don't mind unsigned midlets flashing up a warning once during an application. Writing 20 files, for example, will give 40 security warnings for reading writing data which is ridiculous, as the user obviously either trusts the app or he doesn't. No one runs an app that they only sometimes trust.
    As far as I know the only mobile manufacturer so far to see sense is Sony Ericsson. All of their new phones from Java platform 7 onwards allow unsigned applications access to the file system, bluetooth etc with just one warning when the applications starts.

  • Ipad Bluetooth connectivity not working

    I have the ipad 2 and my Bluetooth will not find any devices. I've tried everything from restart to restore. Does anyone have a clue how to fix it? Thanks!!

    Connect SoundLink to iPad
    1. Turn the speaker off and on again.
    2. Clear the speaker memory if necessary.
    3. Make sure all other Bluetooth device nearby are turn off e.g. iPhone and laptop.
    4. Make sure your speaker is in discoverable mode; press Bluetooth button down for 3 seconds.
    5. Make sure the Bluetooth capability on your iPad is turned on.
    6. Your Bluetooth device may be out of range – try moving it closer to speaker.

  • Bluetooth connection not working

    I just received a Braven 625s wireless speaker for Christmas.  After updating my Bluetooth driver on my machine (which now reads "ThinkPad Bluetooth 2.1 with Enhanced Data Rate II") and re-adding the device, I finally got it to work wirelessly.  However the Bluetooth connection will not persist consistently.
    It originally went off after about 30 minutes.  I saw another post on this board that said to uncheck the “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” box under the Power Management tab of the Bluetooth device in Device Manager, so I did and that allowed the speaker to work for about an hour before it went silent again.  It remained silent for about 10-15 minutes before the sound came back on.  The sound remained on for about an hour, and then went off for about 20 minutes, then back on for 15 minutes, then went off and remained off for over 50 minutes before I manually disconnected the Bluetooth connection.
    During the other times of silence, I am not manually doing anything with the connection or the speakers- the speakers remain on and the Bluetooth connection remains Connected.  Even in the Playback Devices section, I could see my Bluetooth device look like it was working (the green bars would bounce up and down as if they were playing the music that was still “playing” off of my Lenovo), but no sound was coming out of the speaker.
    Can someone help on why this is happening?  I also saw another post that their Lenovo had a loose Bluetooth slot in their motherboard.  Could this be it, or what other causes are there for this behavior?
    thank you.

    Hi, heath
    What is the machine type and model of your ThinkPad, and what is your operating system? Also, when the event described in your post happened, were you using the computer actively, or just something like playing music or watching a film? And what version is your Bluetooth driver?
    My first recommendation would be to make sure that your BIOS is updated, as an older BIOS can sometimes be responsible for odd issues. You can find the latest BIOS for your system here. Just select your machine type and find the driver associated with your operating system.
    Best of luck, and let me know how it goes

  • E52 - problem with lock code and bluetooth connect...

    I have an E52 as my work phone, and due to company security policy, a lock code and autolock (30 minutes max) is mandatory. This is giving me problems when using bluetooth headsets, regardless of the make (Plantronics, my Garmin GPS, and latest the built in Fiscon in my car). As long as the phone is not locked, everything works fine, I can make and receive calls. But, when the phone locks, I am no longer able to make calls. In the car (both on the GPS, and on the built in connection) I can still browse the phone book and select a number, but when I attempt to dial, nothing happens.
    If I enter my lock code, I can make calls without problems. However, it sort of defies the purpose of having a rather expensive hands free kit in my car, if I can only make calls the first 30 minutes of my ride.
    Is this a known problem, and is there a solution?

    This is not a problem as such, more of a design flaw.  It is not possible to make a call when the phone is locked, I guess the only way around the issue is just to press a button on the phone every now and then.  Say every 15 to 20 mins just push the menu button or any button randomly, that should reset the timer back to 30 minutes until it is locked next.
    Hope this helps.
    Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler.

  • Podcast app auto-play on bluetooth connect, not wanted!

    I've read several threads regarding annoying behavior of audio apps while connected to bluetooth audio devices, but none directly relating the problem I have.
    In fact, the thing that bothers me appears to generally be considered to be desireable to most people commenting in these threads:
    I'd like to have the option to just turn off auto-play when my phone connects to my bluetooth car radio.
    Sometimes, I want it to do that, other times, I want to hear my radio, and I am really annoyed that I have to pull the phone out of my pocket, switch it on, enter my security code, switch to the podcast app, and finally, touch the pause button!
    I can't find an option in control panel, or the podcast app that allows me to disable bluetooth auto-playback when I don't want it doing that.
    I've got an Iphone 5, running IOS 6.1.4 (10B350) and podcast 1.2.1 (331), both of which must have already had the problem that most of these threads address fixed.
    Am I overlooking something? Is there a way to tell podcast to mind its own business and not take control of my car radio when I get in and start the motor?
    And no, I don't want to just turn off bluetooth! We have a law in this state (Oregon) that says you can't fiddle with your phone while you're driving. I want my phone to connect automatically, but I want podcast to shut up unless I tell it to auto-connect.
    Thanks....

    I reallly need some help here, folks, this is becoming an unacceptible situation!
    Update: I read on several of the other threads about bluetooth and podcast issues that the only solution that works is to delete the podcast app and use the music player to listen to podcasts, so I deleted it not long after I made the original post, which meant I had to re-download my podcasts with my phone connected to a computer running itunes.
    This morning, I drove my car for the first time since deleteing the podcast app, and I was disturbed to hear one of my podcasts playing though the car speakers!
    I don't have any music stored on my phone, so I don't know if the music player would have started playing music every time it connects to the bluetooth reciever in my car radio, but I can only assume that it does do that since it started playing my podcast.
    There's no option in settings for music or bluetooth that lets you either tell music not to play when the phone connects to a bluetooth audio device, or to tell bluetooth in the phone what apps to start up on connect.
    This is a major oversight in my opinion, and Apple should fix it.
    Does everyone but me want music to automatically start whenever their phone connects to a bluetooth device?
    Is there a solution to this problem?

  • Bluetooth connect not showing up as option

    I had a computer problem and had to reset my laptop back to factory settings. Now my blackberry is not working correctly with bluetooth. I have a curve 8310 and a laptop with vista 32bit. When I open desktop mgr, it automatically recognizes my bb thru bluetooth. I can send and receive files from the laptop to the bb and vice versa. The problem is that the blackberry does not have "connect" as an option. Under Bluetooth options, all my services are listed. Under device properties, the only service is a com port. I've tried refreshing service list and nothing changes. I can't figure out how to get "connect" back as an option so I can actually connect to the laptop. Can anyone help me please?

    I would re-send the service books via BIS.

  • Car Kit problem with 6680

    Can anybody please assist me!
    I have a CK-7W car kit which I have been successfully using until recently with a 6230i. Last week my phone was upgraded to a 6680 and was supplied through work with the CR-27 cradle. However, when this is connected to the existing cradle connector, I get the message 'enhancement not supported' on the phone.
    Any suggestions?Message Edited by phill_a on 15-Jan-2006

    Ok.
    I have now tried the CK-7W with my wife's Nokia 6100, just using the pop-port cable and it has similar problems;
    1. It thinks it is connected to a headset, not a car kit.
    2. The radio stays on "phone" mode.
    I didn't actually try making a call on it, but it seems odd that the problems are similar with another phone.
    With my 6680 and the CK-7W, the phone works fine via bluetooth, but again, thinks it is connected to a headset, not a car kit.
    When I connect through the pop-port cradle (CR-27) the radio stays on "phone" mode and the phone thinks it is connected to a headset. If I try to make a call, the sound is terrible, with loads of echo and feedback.
    Also, while I can "see" my HDW-2, I am unable to actually pair with it.
    What do I do?
    I have bought the genuine Nokia accessories, and this phone seems unable to work with them. Plus the CK-7W seem unable to connect to either my 6680 or 6100 via pop-port.
    What can be the problem?
    I am really annoyed with what is supposed to be a high quality product.
    Perhaps someone will respond?

    One minor complaint still with Bluetooth (if you are listening Palm):  The Nissan OEM kit supports up to 4 phones.  I paired my wife and kid's phones to the car, including my Pre.  When any other family member is in the car with me with their phone (non-Pre), my Pre will not connect to the car.  Their phones connect just fine even though my phone has been paired to the car to be the "primary" phone.  Only when I am by myself in the car will the Pre Bluetooth connect/disconnect work flawlessly.   Thanks again for getting us this far!
