Problems caused by new update

Help please. I updated, and an error occured and wiped my touch of music and 1.1.3 apps. i did a restore but it diddent restore the apps. Its syncing now. But how do i get my apps back?
What do i do?

Is it set to auto-sync?

The iPod touch January Software Upgrade can only be synced to iPod touch from the primary iTunes library. If the user is manually managing music and video on iPod, this is the computer where they first set up the iPod or first set it up after restoring the iPod. The "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" file can be copied from the computer where you purchased it to your primary iTunes library computer, and sync the iPod from there.

Once you have copied the "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" file to the computer with your home library, make a new folder named Mobile Applications in the correct location, and place the "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" file there. Open iTunes and sync your iPod touch.

I can't say that I have had a problem playing videos in Flash because I could always play them in browsers other than Firefox.
In Firefox Tools>options>Advanced Hardware acceleration is turned on.
I don't know if that is different that tuning it off and on in Flash or not, but for now it is a moot point.
As I stated in my previous message, after following all earlier suggestions/instructions nothing helped. But The latest one, someone suggested that maybe version 17 of Flash might be a stable version.
I made no other changes except to install it, a few days ago, and so far so good.

Problems with the new update on iPad

Hi, i just installed the new update on my i pad and now its not working anymore, it keeps trying to open, but it doesnt even got past the black background with the apple logo on it, then it closes and reopens after, and its going on and on since yesterday, what can i do? I bought my iPad 2 years ago now, but i've been caring alot for it, its in really good shape and all, is there anything i can do to fix the problem or do i have to go to the apple store... and even there, will they fix it or tell me to buy a new one...

I already tried holding both the Home button and Sleep/Wake buttons but it didn't work, and since my iPad is not staying open long enough it doesn't connect to my itunes...
I really tried everything i know but still it doesn't change anything.

Is there any problem with the new update 6.1.2 for iphone 5?

After I updated my iphone 5 to the new update there seems to be some difficulties with the camera. I get pink lines everywhere. It is a matter of seconds before it gets clear and again pink. But the problem started after the update. I asked other people who use iphone 5 and they said they didnt have the same problem. Its kinda weird I think. any suggestions?

Standard troubleshooting...
Try a reset by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the red slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.
Remove the camera app from Recently Used list...
- From any Home Screen, double tap the home button to bring up the Recents List
- Tap and hold any icon in this list until they wiggle
- Press the red to delete the Camera app from this list.
- Press the home button twice when done.
- Restart the Camera app
If still a problem restore with your backup.
If still a problem restore as new, i.e. without your backup. See how it runs with nothing synced to it.
If still a problem, it's likely a hardware issue.

Signiature problem when instaling new update

I went to update the neweat sofware for itunes in which i selected it and downloaded it and then it suddenly stopped, bringing up a sign saying there is something wrong with my signiature and then i click ok and another sign comes up saying try to re-dwonload the sofeware and instale it myself in which doesnt work either.
I dont understand how i can access my signiature, what it is or how i fix this problem? I really want the new updates as i'd like to have the new software on my iphone

Anyone having problems with the new updates?

I have been trying to download the new updates but even when I follow the instructions given it still fails. Can anyone help?

I also had this issue, went through the help page at Error U44M1I210 | Install updates then got directed to Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC – unfortunately my error log did not contain a summary section.
I tried out Steve's suggestion and this fixed the issue and I can also use inDesign on the main account. Will I have to do this every time I get an InDesign update?

Problems after problems since the new update

Ever since updating my ipad air two days ago I have had nothing but problems. At first I thought it was probably my internet connection and got all that fixed. everything works except my Apple devices. Safari does works but is a little slow. I follow steps of resetting WiFi connection but that didn't work. I tried everything and nothing is working. Is anyone else having the same problem I am having? did you get it resolved? this are some of the problems I am having.
Can't update any of my apps
Can't download any new apps (not even on my cloud)
Can't access youtube or facebook

Have your reset your your router? Power off your Wi-Fi router for 30 seconds. Then turn it back on. Also reset your iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

Purchasing problem (caused by new Terms of Use)

OK, I'm new, and I should just try here because that other support option is no help. I updated to the new iTunes, tried purchasing a song (with my $1.24), and I saw that they had a new article of terms of use. Accepted, tried re-downloading, but the problem was, they took my 99 cents. Cant repurchase because my credit card is declined. Can't check for purchases because it doesn't show. WHAT GIVES?

Here's what others have done successfully to work around that problem: In your Web browser, go to Photoshop.com and log in. You should be asked to accept the Terms Of Use. Once you have, then you won't have any issue with accessing Photoshop.com from PSE.

Problems with installing new update 10.4.0.80

Hello all. Running Windows Vista. I have recently updated my itunes to 10.4.0.80 - no problems . I have now updated itunes on my husband's computer. It downloads without a problem, and gets really near to the end of the "green progress bar" whilst installing, and then I get a message saying "errors encountered - go to tools, download and install manually". I have checked everything I can think of - cookies cleared, disc clean-up, defrag - you name it I have done it! I have the latest update of safari, quick time is showing as the latest version, so I really cannot understand what the problem is Please, can anybody throw any light on this for me. I am beginning to think that I should perhaps backup all the music to disc and then uninstall and then reinstall , but this is going to be quite a job, so I don't want to start this if somebody has got a better idea. All suggestions will be very gratefully received. Many thanks.

What an absolute mess this upgrade is! I have just spent ages reading all the postings regarding the failings of this new version. I have also realised that this is probably why my daughter's iphone will not now update. I think I am just going to leave well alone and wait for apple to sort themselves out. Could I just ask one more question please, I have an external hard drive which I have used to back up photos etc. When I tried to backup itunes it seemed just to save a shortcut to who knows where which would not actually open. I have checked on itunes and under library, I have an option to export library - is this what I need to do to save it to the external hard drive? I am not very good with computers so I am really nervous about doing this. Are you also saying that although I have not knowingly backed up itunes in the past, that all music in my library is stored somewhere on my computer and if I do uninstall and reinstall itunes, that information will automatically be added once I reinstall?

One old problem causing 2 new ones

Before you get into the meat of this post let me say that part of my job involves some pretty high security and I also am always on call. I have skype accounts with just 1 contact in them specifically for when I do not want to be found in my off time. That should make the rest of this post and why I am mad as H-- about all this a bit more understandable.
A month ago I got my first smartphone, a Galaxy s4 and my primary reason for this is because I have family in Australia and friends in London. I don't have the time to game or use a phone for much other than using it as a phone and 98% of the apps it came with I will never have a use for so I didnt need a big powerful phone with all the toys and software. For the first few days everything was fine. I had heard about some of the problems others have had with smartphones and now everything that made me wait to get a smartphone is happening to me.
The history started piling up. Now on my pc's I'm one of these that removes history every day sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I have no use for it and do not want it on any of my devices and see no purpose for saving it. THAT's WHY IT's History. Over, done with old news.
So I follow all the links in here and have the same issues everyone else is having. So I decide to uninstall it permanently. NOW I show up online constantly as If i am logged in somewhere and nothing I do seems to make any difference. I cant even clear it up by logging into any of my pc's So I reinstall the app, theres no place to log out. Theres also no way to log out and sign in with a different account, it only wants to ADD another account. I DO NOT WANT ONE ACCOUNT INFORMATION SHARED WITH THE OTHER.
I had this same problem with twitter and facebook and some other social sites and google as well. I have social pages that are work related and i have ones for my personal life and I also have a few others for some of the games I run. Everything in this phone (and windows 8 as well) wants to share everything these days and the problem is it creates account issues and other problems. Sharing anything should be an option not a must do.
So far 97% of the things I bought this phone for I cannot use because of sharing and history issues.
I shouldnt have to have one phone for work, one phone for my personal life.. As for skype it seems ever since microsoft got involved with skype its been an endless mess of problems one after another. I am having the same sharing issues with windows 8, which is why I went back to windows 7. And google is just as bad.
There should be a history button. There should be a logout/login function. Skype SHOULD have the same functionality that it has on a pc device. and no I dont want to share my contacts from account to account or social media to social media all for the same reasons. Work is work, and home time is hometime. merging everything into the same app creates setting and login issues and it completely killed my twitter account and merged it with my work account. Besides I have 5 skype accounts specifically for this reason. To keep work separate from personal time.
There is a such thing as too much sharing. But the droid version of skype is a disater. I had really hoped for something better for all i pay for this but I am ready to go back to a normal phone and everyone will just have to wait til i get home on my PC to be able to do things in a normal way. Becauee of my job I cannot take the security risks of even accidently merging my work account with my personal ones. A user should be able to manage software on any device as needed not the other way around. I own the device, it does not own me and i should be able to run it as i need to.
This is also the same complaints I hear from other people as well. Small wonder apple is breaking sales records.
Anyway how do I get my account back to normal so that if im logged in its green and if im not its white like normal? YELLOW AWAY MODE IS NOT AN OPTION BECAUSE OF MY WORK! and how can i actually "log out" and still use the rest of this phone? how do i permantently remove history without having to hold each contact down and why don't it have a checkbox to not save history at all?
I'll be waiting for answers and thanks. I really hope some devs read this. this app is un-useable for me the way it is.
Edit: oh yeah and while I am at it before someone askes, yes I did try a full system restore to defaults on my phone .....3 times to be exact.
Nothing makes any difference.
Another edit: it would make a lot more sense, not only in skype but several other apps and social media as well to have a button to "save this conversation to a file" and have it not save anything by default unless you checkd a box to do so all the time. but then again that would be normal logic, which is something that seems to be elusive to software manufacturers these days.

you CAN sign out -- on just about any 'main' screen (Recent, Favorites, or Peole), tap the context menu button to see "Sign out"
you CANNOT delete your chat history (some weeks worth are held automatically server-side and they are deleted automatically as they age) -- so don't leave yourself signed in if you are worried about prying eyes, and don't set Skype to sign in automatically
also, see the Settings section labeled Contacts to see how Skype can interact with the contact list of your phone . . . or not

Having problems installing the new update on my Windows 7 machine.

Whenever I open Creative Cloud, it forces me to install an update. When I try to install, I receive this message, "There seems to be a problem with the file download. For troubleshooting tips, please visit our customer support page.(Error code: 201) Contact Customer Support" Any ideas on how to fix this?

Problems after Skype New Update (6.16.0.105)

My Skype and my husband's Skype just recently updated. Our current version is 6.16.0.105. After the updates, we are having problems with the video camera. Whenever there is problem with the call and Skype would try to reconnect the call, the video icon is greyed out so we cannot open the camera anymore unless we disconnect the call and call back. I attached an image of how it looks like.

We use Skype 6.1 because later versions of Skype have abandoned our Labtec cameras. However, my wife's sister uses the latest version of Skype. Since about 21 May 2014, the sister has been unable to call my wife on Skype. Skype 6.1 says 'Missed call' and we can see the network traffic during the call attempt but Skype 6.1 seems unable to respond to Skype 6.16. This looks like the latest version of Skype is using Skype protocols which are not recognised by Skype 6.1. Nothing else has changed I guess.
Does this make sense? Is it possible?
On the other hand, Skype 6.1 can call Skype 6.16.
The Skype help facility is not friendly to attempts to describe complex problems. It is certainly beyond my abilities to do so.

Problems caused me to update, now Dead + Oversea's Service

For a few days I was experiencing issues with my Gen2 Touch. Pod-casts play back was skipping around, movies would green screen after a few minutes while the sound played on, and a couple times after syncing the library would show empty. First thing I tried was Restore, then Updated and Restored, then Updated iTunes. All this and still same issues. I then figured one more time to Restore and while in the middle the screen turned black and it's been dead ever sense. I've tried every method in the book to get this to wake up but nothing. Just came back from Apple service here in Korea, they couldn't get it working either. Then proceeded to tell me I have give this one up and pay them equivalent to $180 for replacement which I could pick up in a week. They wouldn't even give me the new one in the case. I showed them I can buy a referb from US for $150, they didn't care. Any suggestions?

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago when upgrading. Luckily I had back up everything and was able to retrieve most of everything. Be sure to backup BEFORE upgrading.

Nokia 6500c problem caused by an update

I was wandering if anybody here could help me with my problem. Let me tell you what happend:
I wanted to update my phone, a nokia 6500c, by downloading and installing some software. So I started PCSuite and downloaded some software. When it was done I started installing and I followed every procedure of the installer. About halfway the instalation the installer said there was a problem and 'the instalation failed'. I thought by myself, never mind, my phone works great without that software. So while the program was shutting down, I pulled my phone out of the USB Cable and noticed it wasn't on anymore. 'Strange...' I thought. Because I knew it was on like 2 minutes ago. I started with by pressing the 'on' button of the phone. Nothing happend...
Maybe the battery was empty? So I tried to put it in the recharger. And while I was watching to my phone I noticed that each half a minute the screen gave light. But I didn't went on. And now I still can't turn the phone on.
Anybody knows a solution?

take your phone to your nearest nokia care centre for them to look at. seems like that the installation of nokia pc suite or software update has stuffed up your phone. always remember to Safely Remove Hardware for your phone in windows, or trash can in Mac OS X, otherwise with improper removal you can corrupt your phone, which seems to be the case here.

Is anyone from Apple going to sort the 8.0 problem with a new update

I just stopped downloading the dodgy version half way through after reading the problems encountered!

My sync problem has been going on since I updated to IOS 8. I have had two telephone help calls and one Genius Bar visit. I am no further forward.
MY iPhone and iPad will randomly fill to capacity with OTHER files requiring a complete reboot. I have disabled iCloud drive and tried reorganising and deleting files from my iTunes library. All of my devices worked almost perfectly prior to this upgrade. I now dread syncing either of my devices to see what latest iTunes problem is now present.
I Have one simple question which no one at Apple has answered. When iTunes finds a file it doesn't like or will not sync why does it not flag it up with the reason for the problem. iTunes has done this for many years with incompatible files and missing album art work. If iTunes could only tell us why it is continually waiting for sync to start or give us a reason for our iOS device suddenly filling to capacity with OTHER files at least we would be able to do our own diagnosis and repairs. Apple need to sort out this issue soon. I'm losing patience and faith in Apple products. So no iPhone 6 upgrade for me till this gets properly sorted.
