Problems caused me to update, now Dead + Oversea's Service
For a few days I was experiencing issues with my Gen2 Touch. Pod-casts play back was skipping around, movies would green screen after a few minutes while the sound played on, and a couple times after syncing the library would show empty. First thing I tried was Restore, then Updated and Restored, then Updated iTunes. All this and still same issues. I then figured one more time to Restore and while in the middle the screen turned black and it's been dead ever sense. I've tried every method in the book to get this to wake up but nothing. Just came back from Apple service here in Korea, they couldn't get it working either. Then proceeded to tell me I have give this one up and pay them equivalent to $180 for replacement which I could pick up in a week. They wouldn't even give me the new one in the case. I showed them I can buy a referb from US for $150, they didn't care. Any suggestions?
This happened to me a couple of weeks ago when upgrading. Luckily I had back up everything and was able to retrieve most of everything. Be sure to backup BEFORE upgrading.

I was wandering if anybody here could help me with my problem. Let me tell you what happend:
I wanted to update my phone, a nokia 6500c, by downloading and installing some software. So I started PCSuite and downloaded some software. When it was done I started installing and I followed every procedure of the installer. About halfway the instalation the installer said there was a problem and 'the instalation failed'. I thought by myself, never mind, my phone works great without that software. So while the program was shutting down, I pulled my phone out of the USB Cable and noticed it wasn't on anymore. 'Strange...' I thought. Because I knew it was on like 2 minutes ago. I started with by pressing the 'on' button of the phone. Nothing happend...
Maybe the battery was empty? So I tried to put it in the recharger. And while I was watching to my phone I noticed that each half a minute the screen gave light. But I didn't went on. And now I still can't turn the phone on.
Anybody knows a solution?

McFlavustake your phone to your nearest nokia care centre for them to look at. seems like that the installation of nokia pc suite or software update has stuffed up your phone. always remember to Safely Remove Hardware for your phone in windows, or trash can in Mac OS X, otherwise with improper removal you can corrupt your phone, which seems to be the case here.

Smart Watch 2 SW2, crashed during PC update, now DEAD
Guys, g'day connected my SW2 to the pc after doing a fresh install of my Z, said there was a new version and then proceeded to update. the update failed and and said to re-install, tried again with no success. I have tried on windows 7/8 and XP machines. The update service says the sofware is up to date and if you're having problems re-install..... this keeps failing and the pc cannot recognise the USB device, says that's malfunctioned. DUH. I cannot even get the blasted thing to light up on he charger. Has anybody been able to fix this issue?
I have managed to fix my watch, thankfully.
By chance i thought I would have another go at it before I totally gave up on it.
I was messing with my NFC on my phone and just thought I give it ago and would you know it it connected and proceed to update, restarted and worked perfectly, FANTASTIC not a penny(cent) spent.
Will never use the PC companion agine. -
Help please. I updated, and an error occured and wiped my touch of music and 1.1.3 apps. i did a restore but it diddent restore the apps. Its syncing now. But how do i get my apps back?
What do i do?Is it set to auto-sync?

The iPod touch January Software Upgrade can only be synced to iPod touch from the primary iTunes library. If the user is manually managing music and video on iPod, this is the computer where they first set up the iPod or first set it up after restoring the iPod. The "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" file can be copied from the computer where you purchased it to your primary iTunes library computer, and sync the iPod from there.

Once you have copied the "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" file to the computer with your home library, make a new folder named Mobile Applications in the correct location, and place the "iPod touch App Pack 4A93.ipa" file there. Open iTunes and sync your iPod touch. -

I watched a movie file in QuickTime Player and MPlayer but didn't notice any lag. I also watched a video in Hulu Desktop and didn't get any lag either. I believe I have the same 500GB drive as you in terms of exact model number so I'm not sure what's going on other than it's got something to do with the firmware.
At least you're able to use the rest of the machine...unlike most of the others. -
iPhone 4 - tried updating with new software and now it's asking me to plug it to iTunes. The problem is that my laptop is dead. Is there anything I can do now?
I Don't know if I can turn it of or do I just leave it and take it to service?
I'd appreciate some advice!Same thing happened here ~ tech guy at a local authorized Apple repair store said it had something to do with improper backup from which the restore would be made. Still have a phone that asks to be connected to Itunes but won't do anything else . . . frustrated.

I just downloaded the new itunes update, now I can't copying TV shows purchased from the library to my backup computer, it says the files are invisible. Never had any problem doing it until the update. I have a Mac Pro G5 OS 10.6.8. The desktop hidden files app doesn't reveal the TV shows.

I have had photo problems since the ios7 update. everything was backed up to my icloud. went into store tech backed up but now when i go to icloud i can't find pictures or videos. 1300 pics and some video's . i am devasted.

How do I install recommended updates, when I click on adobe flash plugin update now buttons, I hit a dead end on oracle's website, how do I complete the update?

IMO, the best version of Flash for WinXP. Adobe kept up with security updates for 10.3 for WinXP users long after Flash 11.0 came out in 2011 for Vista and newer versions of Windows.
Run the uninstaller, then reboot your operating system.
Then you can run the Flash installer, with Firefox closed, of course.

Unfortunately, you cannot downgrade to the old iOS.

I have just created this account to tell you that nothing would change if you restored your phone.
The first NO SIM nuisance happened just a week ago. Nothing had been done to the phone before that. I pressed HOME + POWER buttons to restart the phone and SIM card was successfully recognized as if nothing had happened. Then I had a lucky week, not reminded of this issue at all.
Today, however, the same problem keeps annoying me. I've used the same method to heal the phone but all I have done seems more like a placebo. So I tried the ultimate solution, restroing it in iTunes.
Ridicuously, the moment I finished basic setup on the newly restored phone, the same NO SIM CARD INSTALLED message poped up.
So IMO, it's not what you should do to erase and restore your phone.
Plus, I called my native carrier and they said no such problems have been submitted. And since my nano SIM card is quite new (three months old), I'm not going to replace it.
I googled this problem and found something on a Hong Kong webpage. The author of that thread points out that there is a flaw in the SIM card tray that prevents the phone from successfully recognizing SIM cards.
And I really hope Apple could probe into this issue and give official solutions other than restarting / restoring the phone like an idiot.

Import audio from movie problem
Every time I import audio from a movie in Logic X, there is a glitch at the beginning of the audio. I just switched from 9 and never had this problem before. Anyone else experiencing this? I think it's a bug that needs to be fixed.
