Problems changing country on my apple id

Hi there,
I use to live in the US, but now, for many years i live in Spain.
I am trying to update the IOS on my iMac but I have $0,12 left on my account and won't let me change it to Spain because of those 12 cents, also won't let me use my Spanish card cause my account is in the US.
Any ideas to get rid of those $0,12???

If you are now in a different country (you need to be in a country to use its store) then click on the Store >View Account menu option on your computer's iTunes and sign into it, and you can then update your payment method (you can't use credit cards from a different country), your region, and your billing address

While purchasing Apps from Store a message shows up " Not available in Emirati Store. Change to US Store for Purchase".Can I make purchase by changing country without impacting the earlier purchased Apps?

I wanted to change the country of my apple ID into Philippines, it's just that i still have an apple ID balance in european currency. And it says that i still need to consume the remaining balance of my account, but i only have €0.17. How can I totally get rid of the account balance of €0.17 so that i can already change the settings of my Apple ID? Please help.. Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

Hello everybody, I am trying to change Apple Store Country but, even if I change the Country and I use the payment form for the new Country it does not work. Help!!!

Get a micro-SIM from the carrier in Mexico that you don't have to manually cut down. If that carrier doesn't provide one, switch to another carrier that is not so low-budget.

I am unable to use my Apple ID to download apps and updates from App Store. I am unable to add my Singapore Credit Card to my Apple ID. I was wondering if it is tightly coupled to the country?

I had the same situation, I used to live in the US and now in UK. I found the only thing I could do (apart of re-purchasing) was to create new account. So I now have a US account and UK account, as the updates are free it doesn't matter that I don't have a US credit card anymore, I am just using a friend's address as the account needs a home address.
It is not ideal as I have to log out of the UK account and log into the US account every now and again to get the updates but it is better than re-purchasing.
Another tip, if for some reason I do want to add credit to my US account, althoguh I can't use a credit card I just pick up iTunes prepay cards when I go back to US on business trips and add them the credit from those to the account.

Hi! I really want to change my acount to Korean in app store and itunes. I have a Norwegian account. I had tried to change to Korean but i must change my postcode.

If you don't have a Korean Credit Card you will not be able to buy from their store. The only workaround that I can think of would be to create a new ID, and create it without a credit card. If gift cards are sold in Korea, you could use gift cards as well.
You may need another working email address to create the new ID. I have never tried to create an additional ID. Plus if you do create the new ID for the Korean Store, you will still have to log into the Norwegian store with the proper ID in order to update apps that you bought in there.

Hi, I have an ID that I registered initially in the colombian store with the credit card from my country, I bought several applications in the colombian store with my credit card, but as the store is now enabled in my country I made the switch from country to my ID with the same credit card that I already had registered earlier and buy infinity blade 2, and now when I go to the appstore in my iphone I do not see that all applications are purchased in the colombian store, please I need someone that help me because I don't want lose all the other applications that I bought earlier, greetings and thanks in advance.

Changed country on Apple ID, now unable to buy from App Store!

Hi all,
As many other users, I was using multiple Apple IDs for a long time, confused about which on to use when and so on.
I decided to tidy myself up, by focusing on one Apple ID and to use for all programs, and updating my correct address and facts and so on.
When I first created this Apple ID I lived in Hong Kong, and now I wanted to change the address to my Swedish one.
After doing so, the country is changed when I log in to my Apple ID, but not when I try to use App Store. It still recommends me the Hong Kongese software and apps on hot lists and top lists.
Worse still, I have to put in my payment info again. When entering the same Visa card as I used before, App Store will say:
The payment card you entered is not valid in Hong Kong. Please provide a valid payment card for Hong Kong.
Hence, by changing country for my Apple ID, I am effectively banned from using both App Store and iTunes Store.
How is this? Any thoughts on what to do?
(It was over 24 hours since I changed the information, so it should have been registred/updated by now)

Thanks a lot. I didn't know where to change this info, and found it to be in App Store --> Store --> View my account.
It can not be done by logging in at one's Apple ID in a web browser, which is a bit strange.

Change country - same Apple ID

There are four things that I do not understand about the problems faced when changing countries (France to the UK in my case) with the same Apple ID.
1. I understand from this site and others that I am obliged to repurchase my apps.
Why? - when I move, I don't leave everything behind (furniture etc) and repurchase?
2. I can view all my previous purchases in the iTunes Store for my iOS devices: when updates are downloaded, I notice the purchase date changes to the update date. So it seems that I CAN take my apps with me after all (... though I assume if I were to delete one of them I would have to repurchase? Is that how it works?)
3. The above does not apply to the Mac App Store: only purchases made AFTER I changed countries show up.
4. In the Mac App Store, older apps not in my purchase list sometimes won't update: my Mac says that an update is available but the 'install' it is greyed out. But other older apps update just fine.
I do not understand what is going on and would appreciate some advice, please:
A. why is there no general refund policy if the apps won't update when I change country? Do I have to contact each app provider and ask them for a refund in turn?
B. does anyone know which apps upgrade OK and which ones don't under the cirtcumstances described? - is there any general rule to tell me?

When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
You cannot use an iTunes Gift Card from the US iTunes/Mac AppStores in Columbia. You should only change the country of your Apple ID if it is true that you have moved to that country and now have the qualifications to use your account in that country; you must have a valid bank card in that country with a vaild billing address for the bank card in that country. There is no way around this requirement.
