Problems configuring bind with IPv6
Hi there,
I am setting up a cache bind server to resolve recursive queries in a ipv6 network only. The problem is my local dns can only return ipv6 address correctly if the domain also returns ipv4 address. For example, the domain www.v6.facebook.com is ipv6 only and returns me nothing, but ipv6.br returns the correct address because it has also a ipv4 address related.
I used this:
dig -6 AAAA @::1 www.v6.facebook.com
dig -6 AAAA @::1 ipv6.br
Any ideas?? Sorry for my english
Argyris,
I had the exact same problem with it not being able to locate the oracle jar file. Not matter how I changed the wrapper.classpath it would not work.
I was able to resolve this by modifying the startJServ.sh file in the /Apache/bin directory to set the CLASSPATH environment variable and then run the startJServ.sh to start both the Apache and then Jserv. This will start Jserv manually so you'll also have to modify the jserv.conf file to set autostart to ON. This worked for me, hopefully it will work for you too...can't figure out why it doesn't work the correct way, I put in a tar but they couldn't find the problem either.

Mail Server: problem configuring dovecot with postifx and virtualhosts
Hi all,
I'm am struggling trying to configure a mail server. I have a dedicated server running archlinux.
I want to setup a complete mail server, ie: web access (for that I installed roundcube) and being able to retrieve mails on any e-mail client.
I followed this guide, from the documentation but I've read that courier-imap is a lot more resources hungry than dovecot. As I could not have it working using the documentation, I tought I would use dovecot. The problem is that I am not able to configure it.
What I already have up and running: web server (nginx) with postfixadmin and roundcubemail, postfix, mysql.
Now, I want to be able to send and receive mails using dovecot. Could you guide me a little in order to replace courier-imap with dovecot, starting from this documentation? I already have my databases configured, a vmail user, ssl certificates and postifx configured for virtualhosts. Seems that the only thing missing is imap + smts thrue TLS.
Thanks for any help.

Problem configuring JTA with Spring in OC4J
Hi all,
I'm trying to develop an application that uses Spring with JTA in OC4J standalone.
I've already read http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/spring/how-to-jta-spring.html and the only difference to my configuration is that I'm not employing annotation-driven transaction definitions.
All seems to be ok but during the deployment of the application I have the following error:
07/10/11 17:07:03 WARNING: DeployerRunnable.run Error creating bean with name 'txAdvice': Cannot resolve reference to bean 'txManager' while setting bean property 'transactionManager'; nested exception is org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanCreationException: Error creating bean with name 'txManager' defined in ServletContext resource [WEB-INF/applicationContext.xml]: Invocation of init method failed; nested exception is org.springframework.transaction.TransactionSystemException: Could not initialize OC4JJtaTransactionManager because OC4J API classes are not available; nested exception is oracle.classloader.util.AnnotatedClassNotFoundException:

Configuration: <code-source> in /home/jkliff/apps/oc4j-10.1.3.2/j2ee/home/config/server.xml
This load was initiated at global.libraries:1.0 using the loadClass() method.
The missing class is available from the following locations:
1. Code-Source: /home/jkliff/apps/oc4j-10.1.3.2/j2ee/home/lib/oc4j-internal.jar (from <code-source> in META-INF/boot.xml in /home/jkliff/apps/oc4j-10.1.3.2/j2ee/home/oc4j.jar)
This code-source is available in loader oc4j:10.1.3.
Any ideas?Hi timo,
I'm using OC4J - StandAlone runnig a application for wikis manageiment that uses servelt and have the system authenticate using JASS. I belive that the problem is about using JASS on OC4J.
The code that the error shows is that:
HttpServletRequest req = context.getHttpRequest();
if( req != null && req.getSession() != null )
HttpSession session = req.getSession();
try
String s;
if( (s = (String)session.getAttribute( varName )) != null )
return s;
if( (s = context.getHttpParameter( varName )) != null )
return s;
catch( ClassCastException e ) {}
for me it seem a problem when the application is trying to get a session, the OC4J block with a problem with authentication.
I thank your help! -
Problem socket.bind() with multiple modems and multiple IPs
I've connected 2 or more modems in Windows control panel and made up windows dail ups. Then I dail up each modem and obtain the local DHCP IPs of each modem.
My target is : to set up sockets using separate modems.
the code is like: create a socket instance , and use Socket.bind()method to bind the socket to a specified modem's local IP , then do socket.connect().
but the problem is : although there are several modem dail ups and at the same time I bind each socket to different IPs , the program always connect via the first modem dailed up.
Does Socket.bind() method really bind the socket connection to the IP's or hardwares?I think you are trying to use a Socket where you want a ServerSocket to accept the incoming connection. Check this out (I have underlined what
should interest you):
public ServerSocket(int port, int queueLength) throws IOException, BindException
This constructor creates a ServerSocket on the specified port with a queue length of your choosing. If the machine has multiple network interfaces or IP addresses, then it listens on this port on all those interfaces and IP addresses. The queueLength argument sets the length of the queue for incoming connection requests--that is, how many incoming connections can be stored at one time before the host starts refusing connections. Some operating systems have a maximum queue length, typically five. If you try to expand the queue past that maximum number, the maximum queue length is used instead. If you pass 0 for the port number, the system selects an available port.
For example, to create a server socket on port 5,776 that would hold up to 100 incoming connection requests in the queue, you would write:
try {
ServerSocket httpd = new ServerSocket(5776, 100);
catch (IOException e) {
System.err.println(e);
}The constructor throws an IOException (specifically, a BindException) if the socket cannot be created and bound to the requested port. An IOException when creating a ServerSocket almost always means one of two things. Either the specified port is already in use, or you do not have root privileges on Unix and you're trying to connect to a port from 1 to 1,023.
So once you receive a connection, it looks like it is up to you parse any
relevant info you want out of the Socket you get from ServerSocket.accept();

Problems configuring JPDK with apache

Oracle connection pool problem (dbcp binded with jtom)
Hi,
my webserver is Tomcat5.0.18, I want to offer the connection pool and transaction management
in my currently system
I know in Tomcat5.0 version, we can use the DBCP to offer the database connection pool
service, to apply the transaction management in my system, I adapt the JTOM
now, my problem is
to use DBCP, I setup the datasource factory to be
org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSourceFactory, the connection pool is ok, but
the transaction management offerred by JTOM will failure
to make the tranaction management of JTOM succeed, I have to setup the datasource factory to be
org.objectweb.jndi.DataSourceFactory, but the connection pool offerred by Tomcat will failure now
it seems that these two datasource factory has conflict
How can I do?, I don't want to use the connection pool offerred in JTOM
Anyone can help me??
Thanks in advanceHi,
I don't know the solution for JOTM, but you could try this JTA and its connection pools:
http://www.atomikos.com ships a JTA that integrates with Tomcat and also provides JDBC connection pooling. There is a GUI control panel so that you don't have to know the XML details for Tomcat's config files.

please give me suggestion to configure the oracle10g.I was having horrible troubles installing Oracle XE on FC5 until I realized one thing -- I had upgraded packages.
You have to do the installs just as you want them off the CDs, then install Oracle XE, then upgrade your other packages. I'm not sure which one, but one of the upgrade packages breaks the XE install.
You would also have trouble with linking ntcontab if you were doing an oracle 10gR2 install with the upgraded set. I haven't figured out why yet but I spent all weekend on it ;) -
Problems configuring XSQL with Tomcat
Having a lot of trouble getting this to work with tomcat standalone, apache with tomcat, and even apache with resin. (I have successfully gotten this to work with resin as both web and appserver.)
I have tried to be meticulous in following the directions, but one thing that is throwing me is that I can't find the web.xml file in my xdk distribution (neither in xdk8i nor xdk9i); I've attempted to create the .xsql extension-to-servlet mapping myself in Tomcat's web.xml file, but maybe I got this wrong.
The main symptom is that my xsql pages are basically being returned to me in the browser. Any help would be appreciated.Bacically you need to create yourself, and here is an example:

Facing issue in HSRP configuration with IPV6
Hi,
i am trying to configure hsrp with ipv6 and all command are running for hsrp excep this command standby 1 ipv6 2001::10/64
and i have also tried standby 1 ipv6 2001::10, then showing error:- % invalid link-local address.
i have also configred standby 1 ipv6 autoconfig then hsrp is not running
So i need help kindly help me anyone one this.Hi Daljitsinghtagore,
UPDATE:: I found this video from Cisco TAC, this will walk you through configguring IPv6 HSRP. I hope this helps
https://supportforums.cisco.com/videos/2829
I have never configured IPv6 HSRP, so you will have to bear with me.
But something I do notice off the bat is that you are using the '2001::/64' address space.
Link local addresses are addresses local to that interface and are used to reach neigbors hence the name link local. these addresses beguin with fe80::/10 im pretty sure if you tried fe80::10 as the IPv6 address your router would accept it.
As soon as you run the command ipv6 enable under an interface
e.g. router(config-if)ipv6 enable. - This enables a eui-64 link local address.
If you then do a 'sh ipv6 interface brief'
you should get an address starting fe80: this is your routers link loal address.
See below snippet from Cisco
"The purpose of this document is to provide an understanding of IPv6 Link-local address in a network. A link-local address is an IPv6 unicast address that can be automatically configured on any interface using the link-local prefix FE80::/10 (1111 1110 10) and the interface identifier in the modified EUI-64 format. Link-local addresses are not necessarily bound to the MAC address (configured in a EUI-64 format). Link-local addresses can also be manually configured in the FE80::/10 format using the ipv6 address link-local command.
These addresses refer only to a particular physical link and are used for addressing on a single link for purposes such as automatic address configuration and neighbor discovery protocol. Link-local addresses can be used to reach the neighboring nodes attached to the same link. The nodes do not need a globally unique address to communicate. Routers will not forward datagram using link-local addresses. IPv6 routers must not forward packets that have link-local source or destination addresses to other links. All IPv6 enabled interfaces have a link-local unicast address."
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk872/technologies_configuration_example09186a0080ba1d07.shtml#intro
I will load up GNS3 later when I have some time to confirm.

Liam

Problems configuring HP Laserjet M1213nf MFP with Mac via AirPrint
Hello,
I have a HP Laserjet M1213nf MFP printer, connected to a Dlink DSL-2730U ADSL router. I am having problems configuring the printer with my Macbook running OSX Yosemite. I can see the printers name in nearby printers but when I try to add the printer, the mac gives me an error saying, "unable to communicate with the printer at this time". The network settings on the printer are configure for iPv4 and iPv6 addresses.
Previously, I had the ADSL DSL-2750U model router, and the printer was connected fine. I did not face any issues then. I have been facing problems since I changed my router so the problem should be in the router. I have the IP for the printer reserved in the DHCP reservation list on the router settings using the mac address of the printer.
Can someone please help me out here? Is there something I am probably missing.
Rgds
~n~I talked to the DLink Support. They asked me to disable an option called "MultiAP Isolation" and Voila, the printer is working fine. I can add it to all my devices on the wireless network. I looked up google. Apparently, this isolation feature present in some routers, prevent wifi clients to interact with other devices connected to the wired network and also with each other. Thats why only my desktop which was also connected wired was only able to access the printer and not the laptops connected wirelessly.
Problem solved. Thanks for all your help on this one.
Cheers! -
Problems configuring Platform Domain with MS Sql Server
Hi,
We are having problems configuring a Platform Domain with MS Sql Server 2000.
We are using Weblogic version 7.0.0.2. These are the steps we followed
1.We manually created a database called TestDB and created a user account called
"system", pwd ==>> "weblogic" in SQL server and assigned him as the DB owner for
the TestDB created.
2. Changed dbsettings_properties files (Commented pointbase entries and uncommented
SQL Server entries. I gave the connection parameter as connection=jdbc:weblogic:mssqlserver4:localhost:1433
in this file.
3. Modified Config.xml and changed properties for DataSyncPool, WLIPool, CommercePool,WLIPool
and modified the RDBMS realm properties to point to the database.
4. ran the create_db script and it seemed to have run fine looking at the log
file.
5. I then tried to start the BEA Server instance and I get the following error.
I am also attaching the config.xml file for reference.
Appreciate any help/suggestions. Thanks in Advance.

Hi,
We are having problems configuring a Platform Domain with MS Sql Server 2000.
Thanks in Advance.

i have just downloaded a new version of Iphone software on my iphone 3 . but i'm facing problem in configuring it . also tried to configure it with itunes but it always says that there's no sim card in your phone and previously i was using same sim without any problem . need solution . kindly help .
Hello ashharuddin,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:
iPhone: Troubleshooting No SIM
http://support.apple.com/kb/ts4148
Toggle Airplane mode On and Off.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
Check for a carrier settings update. Tap Settings > General > About. If an update is available, a prompt will appear.
Remove the SIM Card and verify that it is a valid, carrier-manufactured SIM. Also verify that it is not damaged, worn, or modified. Then reinsert it.
Restore the iPhone.
Have a nice day,

I also use the old Airport Express application on my OS/X, the new one with the globe on the black screen is missing IPv6 tabs in the application.. -
