Problems connecting second pc to the router
Hi everyone,
My first PC is connected to my FIOS router and everything is fine with that. I know the router admin login and the router password. But I am having a hard time connecting my second PC to my FIOS router and to the internet.
I have been using the FIOS Connection Wizard, and I have been getting the following message:
"Connectivity between your computer and your Verizon FIOS router is working fine, however we are unable to login to the router to collect the SSID and WEP Key"
It seems as though the connection wizard does not even acknowledge the router password I enter. I will type in the password, then press enter and the wizard does not seem to do much with the password. I rebooted the router, changed the router login and password, and entered those new details into the wizard, but the wizard wont connect. When I try again, the wizard prompts me for the password of the old admin!
Any ideas regarding how to solve this problem? I appreciate your help.
If you are using the FIOS connection wizard and it is asking for your SSID and WEP you are trying to set up a wirless connection. Make sure to choose the correct option, it should be something like, set up new router or internet connection. ie. Don't choose, setup new wireless connection.
If you still have problems then,
On your computer that successfully connects to the internet, right click your local area connection under network connections and go to properties. Scroll down to Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) , highlight it and click the properties button. Use the same settings you find here on your second computer. If your router has DHCP turned off and under these properties your IP and DNS settings are visable then on your second computer input all the same settings except change the last number of your IP address.
Ex. 1st computer settings : IP - 192.168.10.15 then
Set 2nd computer to : IP - 192.168.10.16

Hi, I was working at home with my iPad, everything was going well. It went out battery and after this I am unable to connect to the wifi at home. Before getting out battery no problem, and now it sees the router signal but it is unable to connect to it.
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Error message: There was a problem connecting to MobilMe. The request timed out.
I've never had an account with MobilMe. MobilMe is not listed as an account in iPhoto. All software on iMac is up to date. I'm running OSX 10.6.8. While working in iPhoto, editing or trying to upload photos to FaceBook from iPhoto I get the error message: There was a problem connecting to MobileMe. The request has timed out.
For some reason iPhoto wants to communicate with MobilMe, even though I've never had an account.
I worked with ExpressLane (case # 231899367) thinking it was a MobilMe issue). It was a dead end. Any suggestions to remedy this annoyance would be appreciated. Thanks. I was uploading some to my flickr account, and noticed that even though the "use actual size" setting was used, it was uploading tiny thumbnails and not the full version.
It was after this, that I got that error. I haven't tried it again, as I'm now on my macbook at work. Will try again tonight.
I've also, NEVER had a .mac account, so no possibility of it being a legacy account. -
Why does my Iphone 4s connect to my wi-fi with a password and latter in the day fail to connect until I reboot the router? Is there a setting on my router that would avoid this issue. All my other devices connect alright
OK so it now looks like on my iPhone 5 iwth iOS 6.1 the LTE network is conflicting with my home wifi (Airport Extreme). At the Apple store the LTE signal is lost in and wifi works like a charm. At home tired all of the "fixes"

-Reset network,
-Complete reset and reload on the phone
-ETC ETC ETC
Just turned off the cell radio and it worked. Turned on the cell radio but kept LTE off and it worked.
Apple let's get a fix so we can use your "great" phone. I have just received a BB Z10 from work and it seems to work flawlessly. -
Problem connect ipaq rx3715 to wrt330n router
I am having a problem getting my Ipaq rx3715 to connect wirelessly to my WRT330N router. everything is ok on the Ipaq's side and when i go into the router settings it sees the pda and has given it an IP address. but the pda still won't actually CONNECT to the network. HELP PLEASE
It seems that your Ipaq is connected to your Router, but you are not able to browse internet on your Ipaq. As you are getting Valid IP adress on your Ipaq from the Router, you can login to your Linksys router setup page, click on Status Tab and under status you will get WAN IP , just you need to note down the DNS1 and DNS2 Ip's and then give a Static IP i.e : 192.168.1.10, Subnet : 255.255.255.0, Default Gateway : 192.168.1.1 and the DNS1 and DNS2, After this try going online.I think this might solve your Problem.

My guess is that when you see the router on your phone, you press the blue arrow on the right - thats why you see all the IP stuff. Don't press the blue arrow. Press further to the left. You should be prompted for a password then.

Adding a second computer to the router
Ive had my router for almost 2 years now, and i havent found a way to connect my other laptop to the router, when its wired it says im connected but about a blank pops up. I have tried the encryption key to the laptop and it says it doesnt work. I have been stuck on this for about 5 hours and i was wondering if someone could help me. Idk if its my netweork settings on my laptop? but it used to work when it was wired but not wireless. So please someone help me.

PROBLEM CONNECTING MY BEFW11S4 TO THE INTERNET
OK FIRST OFF I GET IT USED OFF EBAY the guy said it came from his job.BUT OTHER THAN THAT.I CONNECTED THE 2 ETHERNET Cables one from the modem to the router and the other from the router port 1 to my laptop.i keep getting the router cannot connect to the internet message.i have bellsouth dsl service.i went in to reset the router but everytime i put my username and password for my dsl after its successfully reset the password i notice is longer than the one i use for my internet provider.can anyone tell me how to keep this from happening
here are some things to try, first make sure to reset the router, hold the reset button for 30 sec, the lights should blink, let them finish then continue, make sure to disconnect the modem from the router but keep it hardwired to the laptop, open a web page, and hit escape( you wont be able to do anything because there is no internet connection) hit ctrl+o and type 192.168.1.1, a security pop up screen will show up, type admin as password, hit enter, you will now be at the router setup page, change the ip address of the router to 192.168.2.1 and save settings, after the save is complete you can connect the modem back into the router and should be able to connect to the internet, if this works, you will need to use 192.168.2.1 to enter the router setup page to make any other changes ( such as wireless, security or firmware upgrades) if this does not work for you, reset the router and try this http://linksys.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/linksys.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=2210&p_created=11109...

WRT54G Very Slow connection speeds away from the router
I have installed my router in the living room. The connection speed is perfect in the living and dinning area , as we move away from the router to the inner rooms (bedrooms) the signal strength remains fine (very good) but slowly the internet speed drops untill it stops. The signal strenght still shows as very good. Doing a "repair" - switch off and "switch on" - on the laptops wirelss adapter brings back the connection speed for a while before it falls off again.
Any suggestions for this prob please!!!Make sure that the firmware on the router is up to date. If not then download the Firmware from the Linksys web site. Connect the computer to the router with the Ethernet cable. Open the setup page of the router. Got o Administration tab and click on firmware upgrade sub tab. Upgrade the latest firmware on the router.
After upgrading the firmware, it is recommended that you should reset the router and reconfigure the router. -
Problem connecting to internet with linksys router after internet network password reset
I do not know the model number of the wireless linksys router offhand, but it is one known to have a bug regarding connecting the internet. Others have solved the problem by buying another model number, but the person who owns it does not want to buy a new one since he does not know how to use any other one.
What happened is our phone company (also the internet provider) was having technical problems so there no internet connection. Then, my computer opened with internet page to reset password to connect.
Although I am able to get a connection on my wireless laptop, this other person in house is unable to connect to wired computer through linksys.Hi. WUSB300N is actually a wireless usb n adapter. A wireless receiver not a wireless access point or a router. You may want to check if you have a wireless Linksys or Cisco router there.

Envy 15t-J100 Problem connecting second monitor
Hi!
So I have that problem that I want to know if someone ever had or have the answer for.
Each time I plug a second monitor using an HDMI cable, in order to get it to work I need to go to the device manager, disable and enable the Intel HD 4600 driver.
It's was OK when I used to connect the second monitor once in a while.. but now I use it on daily bases and each time it goes to sleep mode I need to do the disable/enable thing again.
Please let me know if you have any solution,

Hello and thank you for posting on the HP support forums. This issue may be due to a possible update from Microsoft. If an updated driver has been loaded that is not from the HP support site it may cause a change in functionality.
You may want to try a system restore back before you noticed the problem.

I continuously get this error: "There was a problem connecting to .mac. The request timed out"
I don't have a .mac acct - never have had one. I have moved my Aperture library to an external harddrive - and changed that to the library. It seems like I started having this problem around that time but I'm not sure. When I get the error I click "OK" and it goes away, only to re-pop a minute later. Tried running the reset permissions thing a few times. The only response I found in the forums was from a couple years ago where they WERE trying to connect to .mac

Why does time capsule go missing from the network. The green light is lit at all times. I am unable to use the software the only thing I can do is power cycle time capsule, by unplugging and plugging the mains back in.
My time capsule is only a few weeks old, any ideas?

ThanksAn external drive is much more reliable.. the issue has to do with network connection and loss of something.. although I am sorry I cannot tell you exactly what. The computer is still connected, still works on internet but has actually lost the hard disk.. lost and cannot find it without a restart.
If you want to try a few changes it can help.
1. If you are connected by ethernet make sure wireless is off in the imac.. having only one network connection is better than two.
2. Redo the TC setup with all short names.. no spaces.. pure alphanumeric. Apple has these long names with spaces and characters like apostrophe by default but they are not a help.
3. If the TC is the main router then reduce the dhcp lease time.. make it 20min.. that keeps everything refreshed and up to date.
None of those fix it but they may help stretch out the interval. -
Problem connecting cRIO-9072 to the computer
We have to connect the cRIO-9072 to the computer remotely through a wireless medium. We have a fixed and dedicated IP address so that the network connected to the computer can talk to the cRIO in the remote location wirelessly. However, we are unable to connect the cRIO to the computer. There is no problem in connecting the cRIO to the computer through Ehternet cable physcially but when made wireless the computer no longer recongnises the cRIO.

If your cRIO is on a different subnet than your computer, there can be a few issues in connecting to it. I would recommend ensuring that the subnets match on both the computer and the cRIO. If your cRIO is still not showing up in Measurement and Automation Explorer (NI MAX) after the subnets match, please refer to the document I have provided below. Hopefully, some of the suggestions in the document will allow you to achieve a connection!

In the office, All my colleges use Windows laptops. The Internet connection is out of LAN wire installed in one of the computers. Others use Internet by creating adhoc connection. However none of the apple products are being able to connect to this connection.How can i connect my MacBook Pro or iPhone 5 to this Internet network?
Just how is the one computer connecting to the internet? What type of connection does the office have, DSL, Cable or is it a Data connection through a Cell phone provider.
I doubt all other computer are doing Ad-Hoc but are probably Sharing the Internet connection with Internet Connection Sharing from that one Windows base PC.
All you khave to do is Connect to that same WiFi SSID name and have the correct password for it.
