Have had an account but have been unable to connect to skype now for over a month. Have tried reloading it - no joy. If you can't assist, guess the best option is to delete this
program.

Problem connecting to jabber account after mac os x 10.5.5 update

Hallo,
I have two accounts - an AIM and a jabber account. After installing the Mac OS X 10.5.5 update I got trouble on both accounts. Changing to port 443 fixed the AIM problem, but I still have problems connecting to my jabber account
On console I get these messages:

I am using the latest Safari 4 beta with 10.5.7, and X11 works fine. My guess is you installed the update on an already dysfunctional system. I suggest you may want to try the following:
Repairing the Hard Drive and Permissions
Boot from your OS X Installer disc. After the installer loads select your language and click on the Continue button. When the menu bar appears select Disk Utility from the Installer menu (Utilities menu for Tiger and Leopard.) After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the installer. Now restart normally.
If DU reports errors it cannot fix, then you will need Disk Warrior (4.0 for Tiger, and 4.1 for Leopard) and/or TechTool Pro (4.6.1 for Leopard) to repair the drive. If you don't have either of them or if neither of them can fix the drive, then you will need to reformat the drive and reinstall OS X.
Now download the 10.5.7 Combo Updater from support.apple.com/downloads/ and reinstall the update.

I have money on account at iTunes. I cannot access it through my games, especially The Hobbit game. It give me an error messages saying there is a problem connecting to iTunes account. I have changed my password now and I still cannot get into the account

Try loging out of and back into your AppleId: (Settings app > iTunes&App Stores > [tap on your account] > Sign out. Then sign back in.

SUPER strange problem with an old account - passow...

Ok so here's the story - I created a Skype account years ago - when it all started - must have been 2005-2006 even and I have used it since. I have installed the windows on my PC and Laptop about 2 years ago and the Skype was set to autologin.
Now I have reinstalled Windows on my laptop and when I needed to login to Skype I couldn't remember my password. When trying to recover it, I found out that my main email address had another Skype account attached to it ( seems I made this one years ago ) - this one I am using to write this message. Now I do also have other 2 email account I occasionally use but it seems that neither of them are registered to skype.
The crazy thing is I am still logged in on my home PC with the account I need the password to. Also on my iPhone. I suspect it has something to do with the rule of having both letters and numbers - and I have NO IDEA what I could have used ( my usual passwords don't have numbers in ).
Now comes the fun part - I just found out that from inside the Skype software you can see under Account - what email address is registered to that account. So I logged in home and when entered the Account section - it says : You do not have a registered email address. - so how the hell am I suppose to reset my password if there isn't any email to send the reset code to ?? When tried to enter a new email adreess I am being asked for my password of course
So bottom line is, I can login on my iPhone ( autologin ) and on my home PC ( autologin ) - but I have NO WAY IN HELL to reset my password because there is NO EMAIL ATTACHED TO IT. How can this be possible ?? I suppose it has something to do that my account was originally created in the old times, when skype had different settings/options. I tried to find if there are any password recovery options - but nothing worked. I can of course prove I am the owner of the account

IMessages tries connecting to old iCloud account

I had an email account get deleted that was associated with my iCloud account. I had gone through and changed my email address for the account and everything seemed to be working fine for a few months. For some unknown reason, now iMessages won't work on any other device, and my phone is trying to connect to my iCloud account associated with the old email address. The iCloud setting on my phone are all updated to the new account, but for some reason messages keeps trying to connect to the old one. There's no way that I can tell to change the email address, just to input the password. I put in the correct password to the old account, but that doesn't work. This would happen when I would I would turn iMessages on & off, and I also signed out of my iCloud account but without any luck.
Any help would be greatly appreciated it– it seems like an infuriatingly simple problem to fix, but at this point I can't.

If you changed your Apple ID (which is an email address), the information has to be updated for all services that use it, including Messages. Check out the resources below and follow the steps to update the information for the Apple ID you use for iCloud and Messages.

Apps and movies won't open under my old itunes msn id, but the newer iCloud id presents no problem. i've reset the phone a number of times. is there away to get all my previous purchases from my old account transfered to the newer iCloud account?

i now have three Apple Store accounts. The first was when I signed up for mobileMe ending in "me." The second ending in "msn" And now the third ending in,"icloud"
The first two seemed to be linked and i would get notifications to update even when i wasn't signed into that account. All the apps downloaded worked just fine on my Iphone4 whether they were downloaded using my iphone or whether they were downloaded from my macbook pro no matter which account they were downloaded from. Now since i started using icloud and after a number of restores my Apple id under "msn" downloads on the apps and my movies all purchased from itunes won't open up. All the other id's apps open up just fine. I've reinstalled itunes, deleted all the apps under the msn account and tried to redownload on both my iphone and my laptop but, no sucess.
I think the only way to get the apps that i've paid for previously is the see if itunes could move my previous purchases from one account, "msn", to my "icloud" account. has anyone else had a problem like this and how can I makethis happen?

We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple - I've asked the hosts to remove your email addresses from your post (it's not a good idea to post personal info on any public forum).
Is the old account a completely different iTunes account, or is it just a previous primary email address on the same account ? If it's a different account then all content that you download from the store is tied to the account that downloaded it, so only that old account will be able to download updates to its apps.
If it's the same account, just a previous primary email address, then what id shows at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your phone ? You could try tapping on that and log out of it and then log back in with the updated version and see what id then shows for updates.

Go into Settings App and turn OFF Find My iPhone. It will ask for your old password, but in the future you can use your new Apple ID account. It won't give me the option to sign out of the old account, it's that light grey color that you can't click on. And since it has the old email address that it's telling me to go into to verify the account, I can't actually change it... I'm stuck

I have a BT Infinity router plugged into the Time Capsule, not sure where the radio settings are?
They are able to use the network settings of the TC i.e. they can connect to the internet via the wifi through the TC but when they try and connect to the AirPort Disk this is where it is not allowing a connection.
I don;t have the drive shared out at all at the moment, is this necessary? How do I do this if so?

Assuming you have finished with your old backup.....
You can see what your iCloud storage is used for and delete any unwanted content at settings > iCloud > backup & storage > manage......

I did not use ICloud or any storage and did not make any sync before.
Is there any Trash Can in Iphone in order to find them? I am dumb and I did not think about save them before connect to PC.

Your photos are gone. They were wiped when you restored your phone. There is no "trash can".
You obviously don't understand how to use the iPhone properly. Attached is a link to the iPhone User guide. I suggest you read through it to avoid data loss in the future.

Mac cannot connect to iCloud because of a problem with my iCloud account

I keep getting the following message when opening my email....mac cannot connect to iCloud because of a problem with my iCloud account.

I have another kind of message. I am connected perfectly to iCloud but receive this every hour or so : "This Mac cannot connect to iCloud due to a problem with "address mail" of said account.
But :
1. I AM connected
2. When I open i Cloud prefs it asks me to type my iCloud details (email address and password), then it says iCloud is in fac ALREADY open.
3. When reading troubleshoot doc Carolyne linked to, I read this :
Close and reopen iCloud preferences before attempting to sign in to iCloud again.
If that does not resolve the issue, check your email folder and Junk folder for a verification email sent from Apple.
If there is no verification email in your email folder or Junk folder, click the Resend Verification Email button in iCloud preferences.
My comments :
- How can I close iCloud ? Document doesn't say. By clicking the "—" sign in iCloud prefs ???
- I cannot see any "Verification Email button in iCloud.
I'm on Yosemite…
