Problems converting report to CM 12

All the reports and forms are working properly except one for the CORRESPONDENCE LOGS. Like others, it envolves retrieval arguments to help filter the data included in the report (such as date intervals). It works fine in Infomaker. But in CM12, I get this error: "The report must include well-formed data package only". I made sure to CAST the dates but doesn't do it. Can't find any clue anywhere. I have tried to change the SQL but doesn't work either and the query is as simple as can be. Is there any hint you could suggest?
We use Sybase, no nested reports involved.

It's possible that you are getting this error due to characters you are using in the query. I had this problem recently in 12.1 where the Advanced Print Window crashed because it saw a ">" as a XML tag. So once we changed the where clause to switcht he sign to "<" it worked fine in CM. BTW if also worked fine in Infomaker.
Example original was:
Where sysdate-field_date <31
Changed to
Where 31> sysdate-field_date

  • Converting report to PDF and mailing

    Hi every one,
    I've gone through various threads and i'm aware of the Functional module's used to
    convert the report to pdf and mail it back.Like CONVERT_OTFSPOOLJOB_2_PDF, CONVERT_OTF_2_PDF and for mailing we have SEND_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1.
    I've worked with this but my problem is i'm not able to convet the report output to pdf.When i'm doing this i'm getting the output of my functional module converted to pdf like the number of header and item records available for the given data in the selection screen.
    Since all the threads i've gone through is converting the single internal table which has the output to pdf.
    But i've got the REUSE_ALV_HIERSQL_LIST_DISPLAY, hierarchial report which as known has got two internal tables.How to the same to this kind of report....More over is it possible to convert report to pdf in online without transfering it to spool and getting the spool id to convert it to pdf.........
    Any help or suggestions will surely be rewarded......
    Thanks in Advance.....

    Here is the complete code for you;
    It Converts spool request into PDF document and emails it.

    having problems converting pdf to word. I'm not able to convert the file, what do I need to do?

    Hi prates77,
    I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble converting files. Are you receiving the conversion error regardless of the file that you try to convert? Does the error occur whether you use the web interface, or convert via Reader? And an odd question: how many files do you have stored in your Acrobat.com account? We have seen reports of this error when there are a large number of files stored in the root folder of your Acrobat.com account.
    I look forward to hearing back from you.

  • PROBLEM converting word98 to PDF

    Hello,
    I'm having a problem converting word documents into PDF.
    I have a word doc that includes some photos that won't
    transmit in email without distoring the text and images.
    So I wanted to make it a PDF so its all "fixed" and stationary.
    My OS is Panther 3.9
    But my Microsoft Word 98 program I use works from Classic (9) system
    For whatever reason my Acrobat (OS X3.9) isn't working (worry bout that later) but my Preview works.
    I just downloaded a free "Text to PDF" convert program for Mac
    it converts the text (but alters it) and won't do the pics AT ALL
    plus it has a bunch of random coding poping up in it.
    Does someone have the answer to this problem?
    Any recommendations on some freeware program downloads?
    Thanks - coldgooseman

    I appreciate all of your help.
    *TO ROAM:*
    +*For the document, if you click on Print (Command + P), then choose Save as PDF, does that work?*+
    When I go to Print in Micrsoft Word 98 there isn't anything that suggest it cann do that. The winnndoww comes up and there's a tab named "Print" with the ffollowing options I can scroll down & choose:
    Document
    Document Prperties
    Commentsss
    Stylessss
    Autotext EEEntries
    Key Assignments
    That’s it, there's nothing anywhere in Microsoft Word 98 that I can find that will allow me to Save as PDF. Besides Print, the options if I go to "Save As" are only:
    Document Template
    Text Only
    Text Only With Line Breaks
    MS-DOS TEXT
    MS-DOS TEXT With Line Breaks
    RICH TEXT FORMAT
    UNICODE TEXT
    STATIONARY
    SPELLER CUSTOM DICTIONARY
    SPELLER EXLUSIVE DICTIONARY
    HTML Document
    WORD 4.0
    WORD 5.0
    WORD 5.1
    WORD 6.0 /95

    +*consider upgrading to Office X or 2004 so you can do everything in OSX. I've had no trouble making PDFs from OSX Word docs.*+
    Yeah I don't have money for that one right now. But I thought surely there was a quick free download I could get somewhere that would do the job.
    +*A no-cost option is to save the Word Doc as an rtf file and see if all attributes are preserved. Then open it with TextEdit in OSX and see if it still looks right. If it does, print from TextEdit selecting the "Save as PDF" option.*+
    I'll see if I can do that.
    +*It's probably worth your while to see if you can get Acrobat working (if it's the OSX version).*+
    I swear I had a Acrobat 6 but all I find is Acrobat 3. (I've never had reason to use it until now. I always Just use Preview to look at stuff.
    *TO CORNELIUS:*
    +*1. How long is this Word document and how many pictures?*+
    14 pages
    +*2. Does it have a .doc extension at the end of the file name?*+
    I just tried that as you suggested and it WAS a little better. That is, the image started off with the right fonts and space right but as it went on it got more and more off.
    AND it still didn't show any images (just blank spaces between text bodies.)
    +*3. Is this a formal or business type communication, or personal email?*+
    Its formal (an official report on a trip which is why I need the photos to be viewable.)
    +*4. Are you sending it as an email attachment?*+
    YES
    +*5. What email are you using e.g. webmail like Hotmail, Apple Mail etc.?*+
    Hotmail
    +*6. Are you booted in OS X and working in the Classic environment, or booted and working in OS 9?*+
    I'm working in OSX3.9 and the Classic Version opens up in it for Microsoft Word 98

  • RightFax and PDF result in 'Problem Converting Fax Body or Cover Sheet'

    Hi All:
    We are trying to send out faxes of invoices and reports to our customers.  We have RightFax software and have used it for a long time.  We are converting our reports to PDF and send them to RightFax.  I am getting 'Problem Converting Fax Body or Cover Sheet'.  I can create a PDF from a word document and it will send it, but files output from SSRS errors.  What is different between the two.
    PhilPHuhn

    Hi All,
    We use RightFax and to get around the problem of
    Problem Converting Fax Body or Cover Sheet we were told to
    open up the PDF you want to send and click print
    Select the RightFax printer and hit print.
    It will now open up the RightFax window with the PDF attached and you just add in the telephon number and other details
    as you would send your fax.

  • Problem converting Excel Charts

    I am using Acrobat 9.3.4 (pro extended) and MS Office 2007 service pack 2.  I am having problems converting the charts in Excel.  The charts in Excel are vector, but when I print to the Acrobat driver or save in Acrobat, the graphs are converted to a low quality bitmap.  Any ideas how I can preserve the quality of the original graph?  Any idea how I can preserve the vector drawings?

    I suspect the upgrade to Excel 2007 is at fault here, but I have not found any settings to get my old functionality back.  I posted the same question to an Excel board, and they referred me to a similar thread, which sounds like other people are having similar problems.
    It looks like some older version of Excel was having trouble when people used "save as pdf" (Excel was resizing the graphic and moving it off the page.)  To eliminate the problem, they seem to have changed their graphics creation engine from vector to bitmap.
    I have an older version of Excel (2003 sp3) at home, and the pie charts, for example, are clearly being created as vector drawings.  In Excel 2007, they appear to be bitmaps created at screen resolution, which in my case is a fuzzy mess because of the need to resize the drawings.  On the Excel board, there is a link to a "hotfix" but I don't know if it is the same issue.  I will post the link here if it works.
    I tried beating my head against the keyboard, but it has not helped.

  • Problem refreshing reports with params in the Interactive viewer from ASP

    I have a problem getting reports to refresh by clicking the Interactive Viewer's refresh button and reusing the supplied parameters. I am seeing this exact same problem on both V9.2 and 11.5 unmanaged RAS servers.
    I am using the following  function code to set the reports parameters:
    Public Sub PassParameter(param_index, param_value, param_is_multi,param_range_kind)
        Dim param_old ' parameter field in the report
        Dim param_new ' parameter field that will replace old parameter
    Dim paramValue ' discrete parameter value
    Dim aValues
    Dim rValues
    Dim iLoop
    Set param_old = clientDoc.DataDefinition.ParameterFields.Item(param_index)
    Set param_new = objFactory.CreateObject("CrystalReports.ParameterField";)
    If param_range_kind = 1 then
    Set paramValue = objFactory.CreateObject("CrystalReports.ParameterFieldDiscreteValue";)
    paramValue.Value = param_value
    else
    Set paramValue = objFactory.CreateObject("CrystalReports.ParameterFieldRangeValue";)
         rValues = split(param_value, "|")
    paramValue.BeginValue = rValues(0)
    paramValue.EndValue = rValues(1)
    paramValue.LowerBoundType = 2
    paramValue.UpperBoundType = 2
    end if
    param_old.CopyTo param_new
    if param_is_multi = 0 then
    param_new.CurrentValues.Add paramValue
    else
         aValues = split(param_value, ",")
       For iLoop = LBound(aValues) to UBound(aValues)
    param_new.CurrentValues.Add Trim(aValues(iLoop))
        Next
    end if
    clientDoc.DataDefController.ParameterFieldController.Modify param_old, param_new
        ' Clean up
        Set paramValue = Nothing
        Set param_new = Nothing
    End Sub
    and then redirecting to another ASP page to invoke the viewer (the report "clientDoc" object is passed to the viewer asp page a s a session variable). The code of the viewer page is:
    <%
    Response.ExpiresAbsolute = Now() - 1
    Response.Charset=";UTF-8"
    Dim clientDoc
    Set clientDoc = session("clientDoc")
    Dim ObjFactory, RptAppSession
    Set ObjFactory = CreateObject("CrystalReports.ObjectFactory";)
    Dim viewer
    Set viewer = ObjFactory.CreateObject("CrystalReports.CrystalReportInteractiveViewer";)
    viewer.PageTitle = "Interactive Report - " & Request("rptnam")
    viewer.IsOwnForm = true
    viewer.IsOwnPage = true
    viewer.HasRefreshButton = true
    viewer.EnableParameterPrompt = false
    viewer.ReuseParameterValuesOnRefresh ; = true
    viewer.HasExportButton = false
    ' viewer.HasPrintButton = false
    viewer.ReportSource = clientDoc.ReportSource
    Dim BooleanSearchControl
    Set BooleanSearchControl = ObjFactory.CreateObject("CrystalReports.BooleanSearchControl";)
    BooleanSearchControl.ReportDocument = clientDoc
    viewer.BooleanSearchControl = BooleanSearchControl
    viewer.ProcessHttpRequest Request, Response, Session
    %>
    If I set viewer.EnableParameterPrompt = false then I get an erro upon clicking the viewer's refresh button (error is: Missing parameter values. webReporting.dll error '8004100e' ), but if I set viewer.EnableParameterPrompt = true, then I get the automatically generated prompts appear but they are all empty. Either way, RAS doesn't remember the supplied parameters. I know the parameters are being read by RAS as the report's contents prove this fact, but they are not remembered after refreshing. If the automatically generated prompts are filled in and submitted, subsequent refreshes work correctly.
    How do I get the report viewer to reuse the parameters that have been set programmatically after a refresh? BTW, changing my implementation to anything other than using ASP against an unmanaged RAS server is not an option at this time.
    Thanks in advance!
    Dave.

    Hi Dave,
    I don't have a "nice" set of code lines but below hard codes one parameter name and value:
                ISCRParameterField newParameterField = new ParameterFieldClass();
                newParameterField.ParameterType = crParameterFieldTypeEnum.crParameterFieldTypeReportParameter;
                newParameterField.Name = "YourParamName"; // you can make a collection here
                newParameterField.ReportName = "";
                newParameterField.Type = CrFieldValueTypeEnum.crFieldValueTypeStringField;
                newParameterField.AllowMultiValue = true;
                newParameterField.AllowCustomCurrentValues = true;
                Fields parameterFields = reportClientDocument.DataDefinition.ParameterFields;
                ISCRField existingParameterField;
                RowsetMetaData rowsetMetaData = new RowsetMetaDataClass();
                Fields fields = new FieldsClass();
                ArrayList defaultValues = new ArrayList();
                reportClientDocument.DataDefController.ParameterFieldController.SetCurrentValue("", @"YourParamName", @"YourParamValue");
    Thanks again
    Don

    I'm having a problem converting grapics, words or phrases to hyperlinks in exported pdf's.  The only thing that converts is a complete URL even though the test for source and destination work perfectly.

    In Indesign if you want to generate a PDF you "export". You have two options: Print or Interactive. If you use Interactive it will include hyperlinks by default. If you choose Print you need to check it:

    Problems converting PDF to MS Word document.  I successfully converted 4 files and now subsequent files generate a "conversion failure" error when attempting to convert the file.  I have a large manuscript and I separated each chapter to assist with the conversion; like I said, first 4 parts no problem, then conversion failure.  I attempted to convert the entire document and same result.  I specifically purchased the export to Word feature.  Please assist.  I initially had to export the Word Perfect document into PDF and attempting to go from PDF to MS Word.

    Hi sdr2014,
    I'm sorry to hear your conversion process has stalled. It sounds as though the problem isn't specific to one file, as you've been unable to convert anything since the first four chapters converted successfully.
    So, let's try this:
    If you're converting via the ExportPDF website, please log out, clear the browser cache, and then log back in. If you're using Reader, please choose Help > Check for Updates to make sure that you have the most current version installed.
    Please let us know how it goes.
