Problems deploying in OC4J

Hi there,
I've created two projects (say Prj1 and Prj2), created a BMP entity bean (EJB1) in Prj1 and a Stateless session bean (EJB2) in Prj2.
EJB2 references EJB1 and makes a simple method call.
When I try to run OC4J with "Lookup all EJBs During OC4J Startup" option on (Tools->Preferences->Embedded OC4J) it throws the following message:

Of coruse, I tried "Verify Enterprise Beans" and everything seems to be allright.
I also tried to run a sample client that calls a method in EJB2 wich calls another method in EJB1 and throws a NamingException: Unknown command: 7.
Any ideas?

Problem deploying to OC4J from JDeveloper

Hello i am deploying my app to a standalone OC4J, but i am getting this error. The application starts on the server and when it tries to link the webapp to the context root it crashes with the following error:

I am using EJB 2.1 in my project ... I can see the ejb create() in oc4j, but then my jdev just hangs at "Compiling EJB generated code" and I am not able to shutdown my oc4j using CTRL + C - I have to kill it. Any suggestions ?

I am facing the same problem from this morning. I was able to start oc4j jvm without any problem today in the morning and i could deploy the war file and was able to test the web pages. But due to some unavoidable reasons i had to restart my machine and ever since then i am running into the following error.
My server.xml has a reference to rmi.xml.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Problem deploying a web application to oc4j in Unix

Hi! I would like to ask for someone's help on a problem I encountered while accessing a web app deployed to oc4j in Unix. Before deploying the application in Unix, I tried it on a Windows2000 server and it worked fine. I copied the same files (classes, jsps, js, css) to the Unix server and modified the same xml files (data-sources, global-web-application, http-web-site, server). I could access index.jsp of my application but I get a HTTP 404 error on the other pages. Also, the css applied on index.jsp doesn't seem to reflect on the page. Could someone share some insights on this and if you have experienced the same problem, kindly post your suggestions/solutions.

Deploy to OC4J standaone problem

Dears,
I developed an application in jdev 10.2 and it works successfully with embedded OC4J, but when deploy to OC4J standalone or Tomcat it doesn't work.
I use JSON in my application.
The log (for OC4J standalone and Tomcat) is empty from errors and exceptions, Only
JSONRPCBridge.analyzeClass analyzing package1name.package2name.package3name.DAO.classNmaeDAO
is written and my code didn't work and JSP is empty.
Any ideas, what may be the problem there???

When I deploy to oc4j from jdev... I get an error.

How do I figure out what my http site is via my oc4j configuration?
I know in my Connection properties for oc4j in jdev, there is a target web site property where I entered "http-web-site", thinking this was the correct target.

Applet works in JDeveloper, but not when deployed to OC4J

I am working on an applet version of the BI Beans java client application. It works fine when running in JDeveloper (applet viewer), but fails when deployed to OC4J. The applet shows a red X, with a message in the status bar saying "Loading Java Applet Failed...". Contents of java console are as follows:

2. what are the advantages in running multiple instances of oc4j and in what case we should run
multiple instances of OC4J ?
3. how to run OC4J as Windows2000 Service rather than Windows2000 Application ?

First of all I have given a first reading to log4j and I think there will some more easy way of logging debugging messages than log4j (If you could provide me a detailed explanation of a servlet,jsp,java bean that uses log4j and how to use log4j then it will be very helpful for me). I have created multiple instances of OC4J that are configured to run on different ports and so on each instance I have deployed a single web application . And I started the 2 oc4j instances by transferring thier error/log messages to a file. And the other way is ..
I have download from jakarta site a package called servhelper . This servhelper is a thread that is started in a startup servlet and stopped in the destroy method of that startup servlet. So this thread will automatically capture all the system.out.println's and will print those to a file. I believe that this thread program is synchronized. So in this method I need not run multiple instances of OC4J instead each deployed web application on single instance of oc4j uses the same thread program (ofcourse a copy of thread program is put in each of the deployed web applications directories) to log messages on to different log files.
Can you comment on my above 2 approached to logging debugging messages and a compartive explanation to LOG4J and how to use LOG4J using a simple servlet, simple jsp is appreciated ...

Falsche Berechtigungen für Dateien
Konfigurationsdateien fehlen oder sind ungültig. Expected 'EOF'.
Translated in english would result in something like this:
Installation not successfully:
Plug in error when reading administered documents.
A root cause: Expected 'EOF'.
Solution:: The information of the "OC4J"-Komponente in the basic exception is possibly helpful.
In addition there are the following general problems:
Wrong authorizations for files
configuration files are missing or are invalid. Expected ' eof '.
I tried different EAR files (like the oracle petshop ear file) and one war file but i get allways that mysterious error. Btw, I do not have any possibility to deploy it manualy via console.

Try to fragment the 'ear' in less than 64k blocks or don't transmit as long raw.

Problems deploying Spring 2.0.8 and Hibernate 3 web application to Weblogic 10.3.6

My application deploys but when it's accessed this (below) exception is thrown. It appears that it has a problem with my weblogic.xml file. This application was previously deployed on OC4J .
Here's my weblogic.xml. I added the xsd to the classpath /WEB-INF/classes dir thinking that maybe the server can access it's http location. There are no reference to this particualr error on the web (WlsScaSpringNamespaceHandler)

Seems there is an existing CR on something related from v10.0: CR353213
* WLS 10.0 - EJB 3.0 deployment fails when parsing class for Stateless annotation
According to http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs103/issues/known_resolved.html, this is not addressed in 10.3
Closely review your classpath, and then (assuming you have access to the source) review the body of your ejb. If it is related to this CR, you may be able to workaround the issue by shortening the body and split large methods into more sub-methods.

Global authentication for applications deployed in OC4J server

Hi,
I have a couple of JSP pages deployed in OC4J server. I
would like to use authentication provided by OC4J, it
means to use JAZN UserManager (encrypted principals, LDAP
or SSO).
My question is, if it's possible to set default
authentication method for whole server or whole
http-web-site on OC4J, or I have to make change in web.xml
in each and every program, which I am going to deploy into
my OC4J. If I have 100 programs and somebody will make
decision, there will be no authentocation on this particular
server, do I have to change all my programs and remove
entries from web.xml files?
Is there a way how to specify the login page globally for
the server, not by application?

Oracle BI Publisher Deployment in OC4J Error

Please advise what is happening to my Server.
I have BIpublisher deployed in OC4J 10.1.3.1 on Linux Red Hat Environment. Publisher is integrated into our OBIEE sitting on the Same Server.
After redeploying the xmlpServer.ear onto OC4J, I am not able to connect to Publisher from Presentation Servers (10.1.3.4.0).

If I try to login to BI Publisher by typing in the xmlpserver URL directly, I get the following error:
500 Internal Server Error
Servlet error: An exception occurred. The current application deployment descriptors do not allow for including it in this response. Please consult the application log for details.
Any help to Solve this problem will do. This all happened after redeploying the .EAR file.

sorry, I think I'm mistaken. That error is what it says, but it's not going to stop publisher working (it's when systemsmanagement is initialising, so perfmon may not be available).
The error related to Publisher I'd look at is from application.log:

Maybe try redeploying xmlpublisher, or using the latest version (10.1.3.4.1)?
Does Presentation Services work, i.e. can you log in to Dashboards and Answers?

Problem with my OC4J, please help

i have one big problem with my OC4J Application Server: i create an instance, then i deployed my appliation with the .ear file. i have 15 page uix. my problem is when i want to see my application from the browser, some of the page run correctly ans some other no; in other world the one that don't run, in reality it run but it display the last one that run correctly.

Problem deploying an ADF Application - SOLVED

I am having a problem deploying an ADF Faces + BC4J application to my 10.1.3.1 App server. When I deploy to the Jdev embedded oc4j or to a standalone oc4j from Jdeveloper, everything works fine, but when I deploy to the app server, the first page submit gives me an error "Error setting property 'actionEvent' in bean of type null"
I can deploy and run a simple ADF Faces BC4J test page, but my real app fails.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong?
I'm using Jdev 10.1.3.2, oc4j 10.1.3.1 and app server 10.1.3.1, all with the latest adf runtime.

some further information. My app has a login page, which is what gave me the error about an actionEvent. If I bypass the login page and go straight to the app I can open a jspx with adf components in it, but as soon as a submit the page (button clicks etc) I get the 'bean of type null' error. Error deploying to oc4j standalone

hi folks,
i'm trying to deploy my application from jdev to standalone oc4j.
i created a war, an ejb-jar and an ear that includes them. while trying to deploy the ear i get the following exception:

2006-11-30 14:54:48.718 NOTIFICATION Application Deployer for wts2 FAILED.
i don't know if this can be connected to the following issue: i have another java environment on the same machine and therefore 2 different jdks: 1.4 and 5. the JAVA_HOME points to jdk1.4. but the batch file running the oc4j starts it with jdk5:
C:\Sun\AppServer\jdk\bin\java.exe -jar D:\oc4j\j2ee\home\oc4j.jar
i've seen a thread here saying that problems with InvocationTargetException can be solved by using Oracle AppServer instead of OC4J, which sounds pretty bizzare to me. there are a lot of folks here who run and deploy into OC4J with no problem.

coz am trying to make a webservice to try it with jdeveloper over oc4j
and as u know there is a test way provided by jdeveloepr to test ur webservice after publishing it
after i compliled the calsses and deploy it and open the url http://localhost:8888/jdeveloper_ap...webservice_name
and evry thing is ok till now and the page apear carying the method services name and when i click the method servic ename evry thing is still ok and the form apear requesting the input of the method if any with an invoke button or with the invoke button alone if no input was required and 2 link below the Proxy Jar and the Proxy Source so till now evry thing is ok
but after i press the invoke button or when i press the link proxyjar or Proxy Source the explorer show the usual error page HTTP 500 - Internal server error Internet Explorer so nothing work till the end
does any one expert in webservices with jedeveloepr know what do i miss to set so that the trial work?
