Problems Downloading CS5 on to Mac Mavericks. I already own CS5

I purchased CS 5.5 in 2012 in disc format. My old MACbook died. I now need to download this suite /pro gram on my NEW MACbook system OSX 10.9 (Mavericks). My new MAB computer DOES NOT HAVE A DISC DRIVE so this is why I need to download electronically from Adobe online asap.I have been trying for over a week, been on Adobe and MAC discussion boards, and was on Adobe's chatline for HOURS and no one (some language barriers were problematic) — no one else in regular chat-mode could help. PLeeeese help, I am desperate!!!!

FYI, I just remembered , about a week ago I finally found a download link but it came up with an error the 5x i tried ownloading...

Your subject header says you own CS5 but your message says CS5.5 so I assume you really want CS5.5.

Problems downloading movies since upgrading to mavericks

Ever since upgrading to mavericks when it was first released, I have had nothing but problems downloading movies in iTunes. What normally would take no more than 30 minutes to download a movie and iTunes extras has now turned into waiting more than 3 hours with no less than 4 error messages saying iTunes cannot download the movie and I have to relaunch iTunes or reboot my entire system. It is getting quite annoying and I can't seem to find a solution.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I upgraded to Mavericks on two computers and have display problems too! I have CC on one Macbook Pro (2011) and CS6 on another (2012) and I'm now almost positive my display problems are triggered by InDesign. I don't have to be doing anything special, and I don't have to be working in InDesign at the time, but InDesign has to be open and I get things like this:
Once it turns magenta or green, that's when I have to boot the system. I can still work with the glitchy display before it turns colors and if I'm still able to quit InDesign while it's glitching, the display goes back to normal. Same on both computers and the 2011 one has a new logic board in it.
At first I thought it had something to do with connecting my hard drive or my external display, but the display issues happened with both computers with nothing hooked up. Those are ruled out now. I took my 2012 computer to Apple and they told me it was a software issue and all my hardware is ok. Obviously they didn't fix the software issue because it's still happening.
This is not normal and needs to be fixed soon!

Problems downloading CS5 on new laptop

After buying a new laptop, an Apple support person helped me migrate all files from old MacBook Pro including CS5. However, these Adobe files are corrupted and when trying to open Photoshop, I got this message: “Some of the application components are missing from the Application directory, Please reinstall the application”. In order to download onto my new MacBook Pro, I contacted Adobe support to get my details changed from Canada (where I was when I bought it) to the UK, and I have just spent several hours downloading CS5 onto my laptop. However, the old CS5 has not been replaced, and I cannot find where the new version has been stored. What should I do? Do I need to uninstall corrupted CS5 and download again?

Adobe products have to be installed, not migrated/transfered, primarily due to being them associated with the machine during installation. If you migrate them you lose that association.
What you should probably try doing is to first use the Creative Suite Cleaner tool to remove CS5 from the machine, and then install CS5 again.

I am trying to download the file as per the instructions on the mail sent but as soon as it reaches 2 GB dissapears from the download and it cannot be launched.

Crperez80 the following steps will allow you to locate your download:
Log in to your Adobe account to download your software.
Go to Adobe.com.
Click Sign In (in the upper right corner).
Enter your Adobe ID and password, and then click Sign In.
Click My Orders and then Order History.
Locate the order number, and click the Download link in the Downloads column.
Start the download by doing one of the following:
Click Download and follow the onscreen instructions.
Click Akamai Download Manager and follow the onscreen instructions.
Click Alternate Download Method, and then click the .7z and .exe files (Windows) or the .dmg file (Mac OS) to download the software to your computer.

Problems downloading Adobe Acrobat Pro, Mac, lost Photoshop CS5

I was loading Adobe Acrobat Pro, and as it seemed not to be downloading (taking much too long) I forced quit. It disappeared from the desktop and I can not reload. Error code 131:4 Also my Photoshop CS5 disappeared! I have it in my system but as it was loaded from Adobe due to issues with my old copy, I don't have a code to reload> Help where do I go?

After downloading eventually (after a few failed attempts due to bad broadband signal) My Mac is asking of my redemption code ( long 6 box code on back of download card). You might be looking at the serial number entry, which is obtained from processing the redemption code.

I have the same camcorder and it did not come with any driver for the OS-X. Did you get any drivers for the OS-X to use the SC-D363 with a Mac?

Problem downloading Light 5 for mac.

I purchased Lightroom 5 for the Mac in English and received the emails. Following the direction I reached the download section and found my order with the serial number as well as two othe Lightroom 5 products; one for WIN in "multiple languages" and one for Mac in "multiple languages". The latter two I can download but next to my serial number it says "not applicable".
Any help?

ADE does not put any minimum OS version restriction as such.
But you can try installing older version (ADE 3.0) from Adobe Digital Editions downloads.

Can I download software from App store that I already own the disc without being charged?

I own Call of Duty 4 on disk and it is loaded on my MBP, but I was wondering if I can download it from the App store so that any updates, for example, can be kept up to date, without being charged again for the software?

No unfortunately that is not possible. If you bought the app on disk you would have to buy it again to get it from the app store.

How can I download standard definition versions of shows I already own?

iTunes had a seizure so I had to quit out before it finished downloading everything.. when I turned itunes back on, it was no longer downloading the standard definition versions of the tv show I had just bought the season of, only the HD versions.
How do I get the SD versions now?
Why can't I go straight to Apple for a solution to this..? It seems ridiculous to ask the apple community for advice on fixing an issue that Apple themselves should be the ones fixing.

It seems the policy of automatically downloading both HD & SD versions has changed. In future you'll get your preferred format, but the other should be available via iTunes in the Cloud.
Go to Store > Purchased > TV Shows. Untick Download HD when available, then download the SD episodes you require.
