Problems downloading specific TV episodes?

So I am trying to download some TV episodes and most have worked fine. The one that is currently downloading has been doing so for I don't even know how long, I've lost track... what it does is it gets to the point where almost all of it is downloaded and it says there is anywhere from 30 seconds - 1 minute left, but then it starts completely over again. I've tried restarting iTunes and my computer multiple times, along with installing the new version of iTunes, but it hasn't worked. I'm not exactly a genius with computers so I don't really know what else I should do.. any help would be appreciated!

Hi,
Yes, It is possible to download Adobe tv episodes for offline viewing when you want, where you want. Adobe TV fits your busy life with online or offline viewing via the Adobe Media Player. Quickly click in and get help immediately so you can finish a project, or download programs for offline viewing anytime and anyplace.
There is a work around.  At YouTube there are Channels.  Like "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom , Illustrator " .  Adobe has put all, or nearly all, of the their video tutorials there.  There are various 3rd party, downloadable utilities that will capture YouTube videos.  The one I use is called "YTD Video Downloader".  In addition to their free version, there is a paid for version that is supposed to be faster.

Let me know if it helps.

  • Has anyone else had problems downloading these TV episodes?

For the last few weeks, I've been having problems downloading some TV episodes. They begin downloading and then stop consistently at the very same spot, no matter how many times I clear out the "downloads" folder, de-frag, etc.
    Eureka - Season 2 - Maneater (stops at 414.6MB)
    24 - Season 1 - 1-2am (stops at 198.2MB)
    24 - Season 2 - 9-10am (stops at 14.9MB)
    24 - Season 2 - 3-4pm (stops at 54.4MB)
    24 - Season 2 - 5-6pm (stops at 110.0MB)
    24 - Season 2 - 6-7pm (stops at 80.0MB)
    24 - Season 2 - 9-10pm (stops at 382.5MB)
Dresden Files - Birds of a Feather (stops at 462.3MB)
The Closer - Season 3 - Til Death Do Us Part 2 (stops at 61.7MB)
I'd like to mention that during the period of time that these files have come to reside perpetually inside my download queue, I have been able to download other files (TV Episodes, music, games) perfectly fine.
I have tried all of the canned "solutions" I've been given by iTunes tech support, and have received no assistance to finding a resolution to this problem. Any guidance from anyone at this point would be greatly appreciated!
    Thank you!

    Hi Ruth,
Yes probably, your firewall, might be obstructing.
I was wondering, in case you are still facing the issue then you can try following steps too--
    1) Go to this page (copy to your address bar)
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/tdrc/index.cfm?product=robohelp&loc=en_us&promoid=DJDVH
    2) Log in using your Adobe ID and Password
    3) Copy paste each of the below links in the address bar, one at a time and hit "Enter" from keyboard (Return)

    http://trials.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/RBHP/9/win32/RoboHelp_9_WWEFDJ.7z
    4) Once you ahve downloaded both of the links, use the EXE to initialize the installer.
    Good Luck!

  • Can't download specific podcast episodes

I'm a new Ipod Shuffle user, and I've found the podcast I want to get. I've gone to podcasts, found the location and there are several episodes available. If I double click the episode I want, it simply starts playing. If I single click it, how do I download that single episode?
The help info simply says "To download a single episode, click Get Episode." Of course, in my version of Itunes, there is no button that says "Get Episode". I can subscribe okay and get the most recent episode, but how do I get a different episode for download? Where is the "Get Episode" button that Apple talks about in help?

Hey, never mind my question, I finally found where that freaking button was hiding! It was alllllll the way to the right on the same line with the episode. You have to condense all of the individual cells in order for the "Get Episode" button to show up, or use the scroll bar at the bottom to scroll wayyyyyy off to the right. Clever place to hide the button!

  • Problems downloading iPhone SDK

I just recently signed up for an Apple Developer account and am trying to download the iPhone SDK. When I start the download it never actually downloads and eventually times out. My problem is also described in these threads:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11033796&#11033796
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=11000681&#11000681
In those threads I have tried the fixes and still been unable to accomplish the download.
I have tried on computers running Vista and Windows 7 and on my Mac running Snow Leopard.
On Windows (either one) after clicking on the link it comes up with the file information, I click save, and then the file download dialog opens. No transfer rate ever appears and neither does any indicator that I have downloaded any of the file. Eventually it times out.
On the Mac I tried downloading with Safari. Safari gets 1.1kb of the file and then tells me it will be many, many years before the download completes and eventually errors out that the server has not responded.
I currently have a 7 mb DSL connection. I am able to download any other file in the developer release section including X-Code and the Mac SDKs. In fact I have installed both X-Code and the Mac SDKs already and they were fine.
    Other things I have tried:
    1. Multiple browsers on Windows (Firefox, Chrome) with similar errors.
    2. Hooking straight into the modem (normally hooked into wireless N router)
    3. Disabling the modem firewall and Windows Firewall (Macs firewall is off by default. Is that normal?)
    4. using the trick from the other threads of changing http to https. For me it makes no difference.
    5. My work computers (with the same ISP) have no problems downloading the file. However with no disc drive, and with the USB ports disabled that doesn't really help me much. I only tried to see if they would work with my login since another thread suggested some users were being cut off.
Something else I do not understand is why I have to download the SDK with X-Code. Since I already have the latest version installed it seems like Apple could be saving on bandwidth there. No big deal but just kind of strange.
Any help anyone could give me would be appreciated.

Alright it turns out it was actually the DSL modem. Apparently the last major firmware update causes it to have problems downloading specifically from Apple servers. Both iTunes HD content and large downloads from Apple servers are unable to be downloaded. SD content, music, and downloads under roughly 1 gb are unaffected.
The modem is the 2Wire 2701. I actually managed to find an older modem that worked and downloaded the SDK fine. At this point I am looking around for a new modem just so in the future I will be able to download updates etc.
Also after a lot of searching it turns out that Qwest doesn't cap their service at all. Even the one report with a limit I turned up turns out that it was either true only back then or was part of a trial that ended. At this point Qwest does not cap at all.
Take a hint if you are going to respond to a post try to be helpful. If you are not actually going to help troubleshoot don't both.
But you did use an emoticon. So at least you were useless . . . with style.

  • Problem Downloading on iPhone with iOS4

Since iOS4 is out, there are problems downloading the Podcast Episods directly on the iPhone. On my iPad with iOS 3.2 i can download all Episods.
On the iPhone i only can download the first 5 Episods wich are made with Garage Band. All the other are made with Übercaster 1.6.4.
I tried it with a smaller picture in the Episode and without chapters. But still with the Same Problem.
    Podcast Homepage:

    Feed:
    http://www.eintracht-podcast.de/?feed=podcast
    iTunes:
    http://itunes.apple.com/de/podcast/eintracht-frankfurt-podcast/id356657057

I can't test these on an iPhone (you could try asking in the iPhone forum). However I did some tests in a browser. Episodes 1-5, when the link from the feed is clicked in a browser, start playing immediately while continuing to download, and display the image. The other episodes appear to be doing nothing, and don't display the image, but if you wait long enough they do start playing. They appear to have to be downloaded complete before they will play (and display the image), which given the file size takes quite a long time.
I downloaded episodes 1 and 9 and performed a get info on them. They appear to be the same except that the codec listed included JPEG for episode 1 and PNG for episode 9.
I don't know why this should cause different behaviour, but it's the only thing I can see which might cause it.

Hello! I am trying to download all the episodes in the podcast "Coffee Break French". • Problem downloading podcast certain podcasts over wifi

I have a problem downloading 2 specific podcasts which i have never experienced before.  The two podcasts in question are "Janey Godley's podcast" and "Mike Harding's Folk Show".  Never had any problems downloading these podcasts in the past, but ive recently had problems with my broadband provider regarding my speeds.  This has now been sorted and every other podcast i subsribe to is downloading fine.
When i get to the two podcasts mentioned the download starts at around 80kb per second (opposed to my B/B speed of 3MB).  it then deteriorates till the speed drops to nothing and its says it will take over 2 hours to download. (both files are around 25MB-30MB).  I have tried unsubcribing, deleting and downloading form the source website but still the same problem.  i have also noticed that if i try to download previous episodes i'm getting the same problem also.
Tried downloading from podcast app on iphone 4s over wifi but again same problems.
I can dowload it from the podcast app over 3G with no problem on my phone.
Any ideas people, as the complete randomness of this has got me perplexed.
    I await your response
    David

    1. Check that the Podcast feed is still active, can you find it in the iTunes Store?
    2. Try downloading the episodes again, but don't try to download too many episodes at once, this can sometimes cause problems.
    3. Did your connection drop out while you were downloading these episodes?

  • "There was a problem downloading podcast. An unknown error occurred (-50)"

    Hello everyone,
When I try to download the latest episode of my podcast feed, I see an exclamation mark next to the episode. When I click on the exclamation mark for more information, I see the following error message:
"There was a problem downloading <podcast_episode>. An unknown error occurred (-50). Please check that the URL is correct and the connection to the network is active and try again."
I was hoping that somebody might take a look at my feed and review the code for any potential problems. It can be found here:
    http://www.stereogol.com/audio/wimpy_podcast.php
    Important notes:
    1. This is not XML code. It is an XML generator created in PHP.
    2. This feed used to work fine in iTunes. I had many episodes already downloaded.
    3. I began noticing the problem after upgrading to iTunes version 7 and beyond.
    4. I know at least 3 other people that experienced the same problem with my feed after upgrading.
    5. Upgrading to newer service packs (7.0.2 for example) has not solved the problem.
    6. I ran my feed through an RSS validator. It spotted 2 errors: (1) the width of the podcast image and (2) the syntax of the <source> tag. I made corrections but they did not solve the problem. I changed them back after that.
Thanks in advance for any input you can provide.
    Pedro

  • ITunes TV show Season Pass is NOT downloading newly available episodes

Problem: iTunes TV show Season Pass is NOT downloading newly available episodes even though new content is fully available on iTunes Store for purchase as single episodes
I purchased Season 4 of The Vampire Diaries on Thursday 10/11.  The 1st episode, called "Growing Pains," aired on the evening of Thursday 10/11 and has been available since approx. 2 am EST Friday 10/12 for purchase/download on the iTunes Store, but it is NOT automatically downloading to my iTunes account even though I repeatedly click "Check for Available Downloads."  The button to purchase the single episode in the iTunes Store is activated, meaning anyone can purchase that individual episode for $2.99, but I paid for the whole Season Pass and I can't retrieve this single episode.
My iTunes is NOT recognizing that there is an Episode 1 available for download.  I rebooted my Mac, restarted iTunes, logged into the iTunes store to click on "Purchased" content and try to force a download, all to no avail -- the screen listing the episodes available for download under my Purchased account fails to list Episode 1 of this TV show.  It as though this Episode is invisible to my iTunes account/download queue.  Yet, Episode 1 is sitting on the iTunes Store server and has been there for the past day.
I have clearly identified this problem to Apple Customer Service and they did not seem to intially understand my problem.  They told me that it takes a few days for TV networks to make an episode available to the iTunes store, and therefore I should wait for a few days -- this totally misses the issue!  The premiere episode has already been provided by the TV network to iTunes, and is available now on the iTunes Store.  The problem is a technological server-side one, where for some reason my iTunes download queue is not picking up on the fact that there is new, pre-paid content available for download.
Please help if you experienced similar issues with your Season Pass.  I bought a Season Pass for last year and it worked without any problems -- all episodes aired on Thursday nights and were downloaded by 2 or 3 am Friday morning.  I am thinking of cancelling/refunding the Season Pass, and just paying for Hulu+ instead of waiting around hoping for Customer Service to finally read my email and DO something instead of telling me to "wait a few days."
Below is my email thread with Customer Service.  I can't believe there is no longer phone support to talk to a live person, who should be able to reset my download queue -- or do something on the server-side -- easily.

Hello [     ], I apologized for any inconvenience this issue has caused. I reviewed your account and it appears that episode is not yet posted on your account. This is the reason why it has not automatically downloaded on your account. With that being said, please try to wait for a few days or try to download the episode using iTunes in the Cloud feature. Your patience in this matter is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.  The problem is, this Episode "Growing Pains" IS already available
on iTunes for individual purchase for $2.99, and has been available since 2
am EST last night.  The issue isn't its availability from the TV network --
it's the Season Pass queue for downloads not recognizing that this episode
    should be downloaded.

    Hi,
I'm having the same problem on Windows and Mac, neither automatically download episodes from any of my season passes, nor do they find it when I select "Check for available downloads,"  it informs me all episodes have been downloaded for my Apple ID, which in fact they have not.
I have to find the episode in my Library(which shows all available episodes on my computer and in the iTunes Store) and from there I have to manually click to download.  I tried deauthorizing all my computers and reauthorizing just one computer, and that didn't work either.  I also deleted my other device(iPad) from the "iTunes in the Cloud" just in case there was some issue associated with that, and that didn't work either.
It’s sad that the iTunes rep didn't really "listen" to what you said.  I find this happens at many other companies too.  They often are trying to fit your problem into some prepared script or solution, or they are distracted or in a hurry and don't actually read or listen fully to an even well defined account of the problem.
Best of luck to us all!  Hope they fixed it soon.
